Three of Hearts: A Why Choose Valentines Day Romance

Rate this book
Rosie Hart can plan a town event down to the last napkin fold. Still, nothing in her color-coded life can handle a Valentine’s Day dance with a missing DJ and a chocolate fountain that’s actively trying to burn down the Heart’s Hollow community center. With less than one week to salvage the biggest night of the season, Rosie does what she always does. She grits her teeth, wipes the frosting off her sleeve, and refuses to cry in public.

Then her brother calls with the one “solution” she never asked for.

Jake is stranded out of town, so he sends his best friends to help. Finn Sawyer, the flirt who wrecked Rosie’s first kiss. Liam Reyes, all quiet intensity and unreadable eyes. Eli Hart, the sunshine menace who’s somehow even hotter than Rosie remembers.

They show up with toolboxes, duffel bags, and a decade of unresolved history. As the dance gets closer and the small-town spotlight gets harsher, Rosie realizes the real disaster is not the decorations. It’s the way her heart wakes up around all three of them.

And when the truth finally comes out, Rosie makes one thing clear.

She won’t choose.

Three of Hearts is a spicy, small-town why-choose romance full of second-chance tension, forced proximity, heart-tugging vulnerability, laugh-out-loud chaos, and a happily ever after for Rosie, Finn, Liam, and Eli.

This book was so cute. I enjoyed getting to kinda know the characters throughout the book. It did feel like it was missing some things but overall a great book. There were quite a couple things I highlighted in the book.

I really enjoyed the writing, I felt it was very down to earth and relatable. Rosie was a bit on the shy side at the beginning, always wondering what everyone else arounds her thinks and feels.

It's set in a small town so when Rosie's brothers 3 best friends show up to help Rosie out with the Valentines dance that went awry, she is hit with a lot of different emotions.

The relationship development of the guys and Rosie was good, I do think that there could have been a bit more details added in to really spice things up more. I wanted to get more into their backgrounds, and more about how they felt about Rosie growing up.

One quote I really liked was "Safety here isn't dull. It crackles. Its knowing that if the world knocks at my door with dirty feet, three men will answer with sleeves rolled and handle it before it reaches the rug."

Overall a great book. Had me feeling happy, warm, and proud

I had the pleasure of reading an advanced copy of this book.

This book had a lot of potential, and I was rooting for it. Unfortunately, the narrative structure was occasionally choppy, leading to moments of confusion and the feeling that I might have missed key information. The pacing also suffered from sections with excessive and sometimes repetitive exposition, causing the story to lull in parts.

However, the book also contained genuinely moving elements. I particularly loved one quote that captures the emotional core: “Want is a river after a thaw. It rushes, it reroutes, it drags things loose. I’ve been letting want carry me, and I am tired of banging into rocks.”

The protagonist, Rosie, was a well-developed character. Her journey of self-discovery and how the three male leads—Eli, Liam, and Finn—integrated into her life was truly heartwarming. The unconditional support and understanding these men offered was, in fact, my favorite part of the book. Eli, Liam, and Finn refused to be pushed away, providing Rosie with the much-needed reassurance that their commitment was permanent.

Three of Hearts by Taylor Ann Ryan has a very exciting and creative concept that immediately caught my attention. The idea behind the story is strong and has a lot of potential, making it easy to stay interested in where the plot is headed.

However, the execution felt a bit uneven. The character development and world-building could have been more fleshed out, which at times made it harder to fully connect with the story and its stakes. Overall, it’s a promising read with a great idea at its core, but it could have been stronger with more depth and detail.

Why choose , Brothers best friends , Reverse Harem , Second Chance, Small Town , Forced Proximity- Valentine Romance. Rosie , Eli , Finn , and Liam !!! Let me just say I was not prepared for their journey . For the complexities in their relationship and the complications from their past history . Add into that the steamy , heartbreaking and heartfelt moments, the drama , the angst , the humor , the witty banter , the family and friendships, all I can say is that I was so there for it all .

I received an advanced copy from the author.

The author creates beautiful prose I do not usually find in this genre of books. I like to read RH books. This is one of the first books I have read where the author actually talks about jealousy and the lack of quality individual time between the characters. I really appreciated the realness of it. I also like how the characters dealt with those issues. It is a light read that is not too bogged down with world building.

Really cute valentines story. FMC is sweet and overworked and doesn't believe she can have what she wants. MMCS have wanted her their whole lives and when they finally get her. They worship her and build her up.

ARC Read
Three Of Hearts is a very light, fast read. Has great potential but I do feel like there is something missing. The characters crack me up with their banter tho and it was cute.

This book was slow. Cute concept. Would recommend for a little novella to get you into the Valentine’s Day mood.

Rosie (FMC) has been planning events in her town for years watching people find their other halves but not her. With everything going wrong on this event she's working on now help comes in the form of her brothers friends - Eli, Finn & Liam. Each of which have a complicated history with Rosie. Close proximity making matters worse for all of them. A heartwarming read of second chances & small town opinions not getting in the way if a HEA ending. A good read.
