Grace Whitaker’s life has always been measured in music—until the night everything falls silent
Grace Whitaker’s life has always been measured in music—until the night tragedy steals the sound from her world. Uprooted and hollow, she’s sent to live with her older brother’s band in Austin, a house overflowing with noise, laughter, and life she no longer knows how to touch.
Except for Ian Calloway.
Quiet where the others are loud, steady where she is breaking, Ian becomes the one person who hears the faint, fragile notes still trembling inside her. He listens without asking, stays without crowding, and slowly helps Grace find her way back to the music she thought she’d lost forever.
But healing is not a single moment—it’s a lifetime of them.
As Grace grows, leaves home, chases her long-held dreams, and learns who she is beyond grief, her connection with Ian becomes the thread that follows her through the constant, patient, and impossible to ignore.
A sweeping, emotional coming-of-age love story, The Quiet Between Notes explores the bond that survives distance, the music that carries us forward, and the kind of love that becomes a lifelong melody.
Cute and genuinely heartwarming, this book is full of tender moments that make you smile while quietly pulling at your emotions. It has a soft emotional depth that sneaks up on you—nothing too heavy, just enough to make you feel connected to the characters and invested in their journey. A comforting, feel-good read that still leaves an emotional imprint, making it the perfect palate cleanser.
This book followed the entire journey of Grace and the twist and turns were unexpected and well incorporated! Just when I thought her story was over, a new one began. I loved the character development for each character, as well as the POV for the characters. Great book that left me sad it’s over!
