Moon Bound is a Standalone Dark Fantasy Romance with scorching sapphic spice, a messy love-triangle-to-triad, and high stakes that ends in a HEA!
Autumn Hawthorne is a feral bi goblin who writes spicy, queer Fantasy Romance with monsters and a little otherworldly twist. Autumn has written all of her life, and has dozens of ideas she’s trying to type out as fast as her little fingers will go. When she isn’t writing, Autumn plays video games, practices witchcraft, and yaps to anyone who will listen about her current read!
Before we even step into the story, you need to know two things about me as a reader that are relevant to this story and also a reflection on how much I loved it.
First off...I am let's say...selective when it comes to werewolf stories. I love the idea of them, have read some that are done very well but they often leave my expectations sad and starving.
Second off, Love triangles historically make me feral but not in a fun way. I am just usually left unhappy with the end choice but I was holding out hope here because there is the "to triad" aspect.
Despite this, you know I love an Autumn Hawthorne story and so I had to pick it up. As always, she does what she does and DELIVERS. & for me its not even just like a story it is a whole experience. This is her fourth book and each of them I have had like real experiences with they are so well written.
I have read multiple versions of Moon Bound at this point and each version has made me fall deeper in love with it all. But for the sake of clarity this review is based off of the arc ebook copy I received. The day I am writing this is RELEASE DAY!!!!! I CANNOT WAIT TO GET MY PAPERBACK COPY.
This author has a genuine gift. A way of weaving world building and plot and romance so seamlessly that I never feel like something is being sacrificed. I feel like a lot of my issue (as a slow burn main) with fast burn stories is that many tend to lose the plot and this does not. I feel like I can see the world she has built. The magic system does not disappoint we love some moon magic. And I love the way that even when I know we are only getting a glimpse of the mythology and magic that has truly been created for it, it feels whole if that makes sense. Everything is so intricate without being confusing and just humming with various threads of life.
And then we get into the characters themselves especially our main trio. Everytime I have walked beside Zenith, something in me stitched itself back together. I felt her heartbeat in my own ribs. I just wanted to wrap her in my arms and tell her I see you, I hear you. The development through everything is just...I dont have words and i'm so happy and proud of her.
Nisrine is fierce from the start. The blade under the silk. The mask that she perfected out of survival and duty. To protect. It hit me super deep. I loved Zenith and understood pieces but I resonated with this aspect of Nisrine the most and I spent the entire story rooting for her with everything I had. I wanted her to have everything. Even Luxian!! Listen...I had beef with him over several drafts lmao. At one point I even was like "haha but what if we just kicked him to the curb." But the reality of it is, they wouldn't be the same without him. This triad shines because each of them carries something that the other lacks in their lives or within themselves. Together they are potent, and volatile, and tender, and wholesome and powerful in ways that we're wonderful.
Was it messy af? Yes!!! Was a worried multiple times through this whole thing?? Also yes!!! Did the storyline outside of the romance have my nerves on edge because I just so desperately needed everything to be figured out and fixed? ALSO YES!!!!!!
This review is based on an ARC (Advanced Reader Copy), and below are my honest opinions about the book.
The world-building in this novel is truly exceptional. The intricate magic system, intertwined with themes of divinity, creates a rich tapestry that pulls the reader in. I found myself captivated by the detailed descriptions and the lore surrounding various magical phenomena. However, I wished there were more elaboration on the different species inhabiting this world and the nuances of multiple factions. Additional background on their histories and motivations greatly enriched the narrative.
The story's pacing felt uneven at times. The first half of the book builds slowly, allowing for character development and exploration of the setting. Still, the second half takes a dramatic turn—picking up speed in a way that sometimes felt rushed or frantic. This shift in pacing can be jarring, as the narrative shifts from thoughtful, deliberate moments to high-stakes action.
Some darker and horror elements are present in the story, and they are executed quite well. The eerie atmosphere, along with tense situations, adds a compelling edge that enhances the overall reading experience.
**The Characters:** - **Nisrine:** I found myself disliking her from the very start. She comes across as cold and standoffish, always striving for control in her surroundings. While her role as the alpha of her pack comes with significant responsibility, her social anxiety is only superficially explored, making it difficult for me to empathize with her struggles. Her constant need to prove herself often overshadows her character depth, leaving her feeling one-dimensional.
- **Zenith:** As a complex character, Zenith's backstory is filled with trauma and pain. She grapples with overwhelming guilt and grief for missed opportunities in life, which shapes her insecurities. At times, her inner monologue became tiresome to read, especially as she continuously revisited her feelings of unworthiness. Although I empathize with her plight due to my own experiences in an emotionally abusive relationship, I was frustrated by her reluctance to confront her issues. Her unwillingness to grow made it harder for me to remain invested in her journey.
- **Luxian:** I found myself connecting most deeply with Luxian. As the third child in his family, he never anticipated the burden of leadership would fall on him, especially after his older brothers distanced themselves from their responsibilities. This unexpected weight leads to flaws in his character; he is hot-headed, impulsive, and selfish at times. However, what stands out is his genuine desire to evolve and learn from his mistakes. His growth throughout the story is both relatable and inspiring.
Regarding the romantic elements, I found the smut to be acceptable but somewhat repetitive for my taste. The passion is there, but it could have benefited from more variety.
Overall, if you're drawn to a vivid fantasy world filled with intriguing monsters—and you don't mind the infusion of horror elements—this book may be just what you're looking for. It's a unique blend of rich storytelling and complex character arcs. However, it may require some patience as the pacing unfolds.
This was an ARC review and the below are my honest opinions of the book.
The world building is amazing, the magic system, the divinity. All amazing and I wished there was more info about the different species of the world and the different factions.
The pacing of the story is a bit strange, slow build up of the story in the first half of the book, quick and a bit frantic in the 2nd half.
There are some dark and horror elements, which were very well done.
The characters: Nisrine, Zenith and Luxian. I found all three main characters flawed and problematic.
Zenith - an interesting character, broken by her trauma, lost in guilt and grief for a life not lived. Highly insecure. Running from her fears and problems. After a while it got tedious to read her inner monologue of insecurities and reasoning why she doesn't deserve anything good. I for the most part felt sorry for her, and understood her trauma as I was in a emotionally abusive relationship and it takes a while to heal from that if you work on getting better. And If you don't work on yourself to heal as is the case with Zenith it takes even longer.
Nisrine - I disliked her from the get go, cold, standoffish. Always in need to be in control, to stay on top, always proving herself. Yes she's the alpha of her pack and has a lot of responsibility. Her social anxiety was poorly described which made it hard for me to connect with her.
Luxian - I understood him the best and connected the most. He is the 3rd child and the role of a leader was never in his cards, till His older brothers went their own ways and shrank their responsibility's. He is flawed, and hot headed and selfish and wrong. But he tries to be better and he grows from the experience.
The smut is ok, a bit repetitive for my taste.
If you like a rich fantasy world, peppered with monster smut, and has elements of horror this book is for you.
This one starts off with a bang--a true "he had it coming" moment that sets the story in motion.
Zenith, our main human character, is a devoted priestess of the moon goddess Lena. She's also a deeply insecure woman, thanks to a traumatic past.
Luxian, our male main character, is a a wolf shifter forced into an arranged marriage when all he's ever wanted is the freedom to live a life of his choosing.
Nisrine, our second female main character, is also a wolf shifter. She's the alpha of her pack, and essentially a workaholic with a reputation for being aloof.
For me the most interesting relationships between the characters existed between Zenith and Luxian, and Luxian and Nisrine because of their complexity and difficulty. Luxian loses Zenith's trust, and has to find a way to redeem himself before her. Nisrine and Luxian were forced into their mating, and frankly hate one another when they meet. There's a lot of tension there, but the narrative seems to be more focused on Nisrine and Zenith's relationship, which doesn't have the same tension. They like one another very quickly, and don't really have to work for that affection.
If you like your poly/why choose to be spice forward, with the plot taking a secondary role, this one is for you. The ladies are definitely the ones enjoying themselves the most, even when they allow Luxian to join in.
Most of the plot happens in the 3rd act, which kept the narrative tension from really lingering long enough to pay off. It's a real interesting series of twists, but I'd have liked to be kept in suspense a bit more.
Still an enjoyable read, and an author's work which I will be reading more of.
I am an Arc reader for Autumn however, this review is completely my own feelings and thoughts.
this book is so goddamn amazing. Between Nisrine, Zenith and my frenemy Luxian they had me in tears, laughing and screaming. (mostly Lux making me scream in annoyance and excitement😂) Autumn has written this smutty werewolf-ish triad so well. The way she writes plus size women has actually helped me accept myself so much.
Moon Bound absolutely gives me Wattpad smutty werewolf vibes but 100x better and made me crave to read it. I needed to know what happened to the missing people and children, I needed to know what went on with the dragons.
I honestly couldn't ask for the FMC (Zenith) to be written any better. Shes absolutely perfect in the most imperfect way. I feel like I can relate to her so much and that's hard to write. In the first chapter there is murder but it's written so well and there's so many emotions just in the first chapter. Nisrine is also the Alpha female Dom we all need in our lives. she's hot headed, and yet so unbelievably kind at the same time. LUXIAN, where do i even start, I love him and I hate him but I'm so so GLAD he is in this book. he definitely adds an amazing enemy to lovers trope.
I was a little unsure about this book at first as obviously there's not many female Alpha books out there but this one is absolutely beautiful. The world that Autumn has written is stunning, the descriptions of the world around them makes you feel like you're there.
this is definitely a 4 and a half/5 stars for me. I will be reading this book again as I think I've found my comfort book.
thank you Autumn for giving me the opportunity to see myself in a better light because of your books ❤️
This was an ARC review and the below are my honest opinions of the book:
Moon Bound by Autumn Hawthorne is a vividly imagined story that blends magic, passion, and danger in a world where power and desire constantly clash. The setting is rich and immersive, full of potential and intriguing lore, and I found myself wanting to know more about the world itself—the dragon territories, the Resdolns, and the temple life that framed Zenith’s origins.
Zenith was easily the standout character for me. Her background, strength, and quiet resilience made her story worth following, even when the relationships around her grew chaotic. I struggled more with the other two leads. Nisrine’s behavior often felt more cruel than commanding, and Luxian’s choices left me frustrated rather than sympathetic. Still, the tension between them creates a sharp emotional edge that readers of darker romance will likely appreciate.
The pacing wavers—slow and heavy in the beginning, then a sudden burst of intensity near the end that felt almost too fast to take in. Some of the darker content (particularly involving children) pushed past my comfort zone, even though it was handled off-screen.
Overall, I’d give Moon Bound a 3.6 out of 5. The worldbuilding and atmosphere are captivating, but the uneven pacing and difficult subject matter made it harder for me to stay fully engaged. If you enjoy monster smut with a side of danger and don’t mind when the plot takes a back seat to power dynamics and steamy tension, this one might be for you.
❤️ World Building: The world building was rich and immersive. The descriptions of the different areas (homes, cities, territories, etc.) brought you into the story and brought the story more home to the reader.
❤️ The Characters: We have three MCs in this book. We start with Zenith and she has not lived a happy life with her husband, she is broken, but her character ARC is inspiring. Luxian, our MMC, pissed me off a lot during this book. I'm not a fan of lying, even if it’s by omission. Nisrine is our other MFC, and she has a hard shell and doesn’t let anyone get close to her, she should have shared a little bit of the blame as well, I think. They were captivating characters that kept me engaged throughout the book.
❤️ The Story: The story was interesting, and I’m not sure if there is going to be a 2nd book? It sorta closed itself off, but also left room for another one, so I can see it going either way, but I’m guessing this will be a series. Some parts were very cathartic for me, especially if you know the special kind of abuse of a narcissistic, so be aware of that if you're sensitive to such things.
❤️🔥Overall: I really enjoyed this book. It was a good read.
🐄 Cow Fact Inspired by the Octaow: Cows can often seem slow and sedate but they’re also playful, especially when they’re young. When they have enough space, they love to run about, chase each other, and even play with balls. They might be a little too big to play fetch with, though. (https://www.worldanimalprotection.org/)
I got this ARC book for free for my honest opinion, you know the drill 😉
I was very kindly selected as an ARC reader for this book in return for my honest review.
Overall I would say I enjoyed this! a slight detour from my usual reads in terms of it being FFM but I definitely will read more of that in the future.
Things I loved: - Zenith! A really lovely character who's been through some awful stuff but hasn't let that make her bitter. I loved her dynamic with both Luxian and Nisrine, our other two main characters, both independently and as a threesome. - Lore around the Gods of this universe - whilst initially a little confusing (I think that's often the way with Fantasy settings though), I liked meeting those we did and would be interested to learn more about other Avdolns and Resdolns. - Cassian! Something of a side character, I wish we'd had more of him!
Things I wasn't so sure about: - The initial dynamic between Luxian and Nisrine at the beginning. I get that it was essentially an arranged marriage but the early scenes together are kind of uncomfortable. - The world in this book is rich and complex and some of the elements of this could maybe have benefitted from more explanation? But it's tough to do that whilst keeping the plot moving and it not feeling like too much of a lore dump.
I'd say it's definitely worth a read if you enjoy a bit of angst with your happy endings and want to sink into a complex universe with a cool magic system.
{ARC book review} ✨✨✨✨✨ {5 stars} 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ {smutty with good plot and quite a bit of 🥵scenes}
alright let me just start this by saying that I found Autumn’s ARC form by chance, scrolling through my Threads feed. I am so happy I found her and this read - she instantly hooked me with: werewolves, alpha female, fated mates, and FFM throuple. This story isn’t just smut, it has depth through trauma, responsibilities and this under current of evil threat. But for the smut lovers, do these scenes DELIVERRR. The characters, I love each of them for their own unique traits. Zenith - I see so much of me in her. She battles past trauma and is learning how to allow herself to feel, to process and to love herself. Nisrine - the bad*ss Alpha Female has the world of responsibilities on her shoulder and is such a strong character. I adore her. And our male, Luxian, stuck in the middle of the two by being mated to one, and in love with the other.
I was absolutely obsessed with the bigger fantasy story and plot - missing dragon eggs, pack bonds, the mysterious darkness threatening the peace. I also really enjoyed how Hawthorne built the dynamic between the three main characters. I definitely recommend if you would love to read about a budding, messy FFM love triangle.
Autumn, thank you so much for this opportunity. I absolutely RAN for copies of everything else you have written!
Fan-freakin-tastic! Zenith escaped an absolutely horrific situation with her abomination of a husband and dedicated her life to serving Lady Lena, the Moon Avdoln. Luxian and Nisrine are Mated and they hate each other. I loved the chemistry between Zenith and Lux from their first interaction and seeing him pining was so swoon worthy. When Nisrine discovers them I was like ohhhhh nooooo, but thankfully that worked out better than I could’ve hoped. I loved how Nisrine and Luxian’s feelings towards one another changed over the course of the story and that it didn’t seem forced or disingenuous. I also loved how Zenith was able to bring them together. All the crazy stuff happening in the background with missing pups and magical artifacts was really intense and I was genuinely worried a couple times. The spice in this was hotter than lava. One on one scenes and group scenes were all equally enjoyable. If you’ve read any of the other books in this universe you might recognize some “things.” The f¡ght scenes in this were amazing and I loved how powerful Nisrine was. I’m really looking forward to more books in this world.
I was selected as an ARC reader and below is my honest review.
This is a multi POV following 2 FMCs and 1 MMC. Zenith is a human female that struggles with self image due to being plus sized and being the victim of DV and infertility. Nisrine is an Alpha female werewolf who is very reserved and guarded. Luxian is the MMC and he is a werewolf. His main struggle is duty vs free will.
There is a lot of spice in this novel. I think the plot deserved more. It felt like a filler in between the spicy scenes. The plot had a lot of potential, but it fell flat due to the spicy content that was on it’s own subplot. There were a lot of repetitive and redundant elements. Although the human FMC is not a young adult, there’s a lot about her that makes her seem immature. Also, even though this is a love triangle/triad, there is a clear preference for the FF relationship and the MMC feels like a third wheel.
Overall, this is a very simple read and good if you are looking more for smut than a deep storyline. With a note, while there is a scene of FM smut, most of the smut is FF and threesome with a focus on FF, where the MMC plays a mostly minor role.
Autumn Hawthorne is known for their monster spice, and while that’s usually not what I gravitate toward, I found myself completely captivated by this story—for the characters, not just the heat.
Yes, the spice is absolutely spicing, but what truly stands out is Hawthorne’s gift for writing broken women, characters who have been shattered by life and are slowly, painfully piecing themselves back together. The healing isn’t instant or easy, and that’s what makes it so powerful. It’s raw, emotional, and utterly human.
The plot is equally gripping, a world where magic exists but is rare, and every choice carries weight. The characters evolve beautifully, growing and changing in ways that feel organic and real. And while the story ends satisfyingly, you can feel that there’s more to come, more world, more pain, more healing.
If you love books that balance romance, emotional depth, monsters and plot, Moon Bound is a must-read.
I ARC Read this book and …this book was AMAZING!!! I have read a number of books by this author but this one is my favorite (and not just because it is new). While the others were wonderful books, this one felt raw and real in a whole new way that I couldn’t put it down.
It made me cry and laugh and squee when the MCs finally got together. Zenith’s story was heart breaking in a very relatable way while Nisrine and Lux’s tempestuous relationship draws you in. I don’t want to give anything away, but there is a moment where I wanted to punch Lux in the face but then, I felt how the other two came together and they…. Well, you need to read to find that out.
In all honesty, I hope Autumn Hawthorne writes a sequel to this book. The ending was just enticing enough that I really want to know what happens next.
Oh, on a side note… this book is like hella spicy! I mean ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥 level spicy!
Many thanks to Autumn Hawthorne for the opportunity to read an ARC of this book. Those opinions are still my own.
This was a great book; Autumn Hawthorne knows how to weave a great worldbuilding with interesting plot and endearing characters.
I found the world and the magic lore really interesting. The relationship between the characters and some of the gods was intriguing and I hope it gets explored more in future books.
Each of our three main characters were vividly described, both physically and emotionnaly and I loved witnessing them change with the others' influence and then impact the world around them. They met under very particular circumstances but athey lmearned to wirk together and ultimately, formed a well-suited triad.
Zenith was a very compelling FMC. Witnessing her healing from her trauma was really cathartic. Thanks to Nisrine, and later Luxian, she also learns to be confident in herseklf and her capabilities. Those journeys always resonate deep for me and that might be why her arc was the most emotional. I loved her determination to do the right thing and her bravery. Even if she didn't believe herself powerful, she never hid away from danger, especially if that meant helping others. She is definitely the heart in the triad.
Nisrinne is a strong female Alpha, ready to do what's right for her people. She could sometimes appear cold and uncaring, especially towards Luxian at first. However, as soon as she met Zenith, she showed how much she cared and that she doesn't allow herself to be vulnerable. I loved witnessing her opening up with Zenith, about her feelings, challenges and needs.
Luxian was a very interesting character. He was very hateful toward Nisrine at the beginning which, considering his situation and the way he has been raised, is understandable. It still didn't excuse his lying and manipulating of Zenith. But I loved seeing him realizing how wrong he had been and learning to trust Nisrine.
I really loved the three of them together. Nisrine and Zenith are truly perfect for each other, balancing the other and being the first people they can truly confide in. I loved Nisrine and Luxian, especially when they started to communicate and change their perspective of the other, thanks to Zenith.
Plot wise, a lot happens. Pups are disappearing for some nefarious purpose. If the main plot is resolved, some questions stay unanswered at the end and I cannot wait to know how it will play out in the next books.
Autumn Hawthorne has started to build a very strong and interesting universe and I'm excited to read what she will be writing newt.
I was excited to read this book before hand but it was nothing like I expected it to be. I was blessed with an arc opportunity and while it took me a while to start it (and finish it due to life) I ate this book up with every free moment I had. This book took me on the most amazing journey full of every emotion I think I’ve ever felt. I raged I cried I cackled I loved. This book is easily in my top reads for the year. I’ve loved this author since I beta read her mushroom monster romance and while her ability to ensnare a reader is in every book each world is so uniquely different. This one is def one of my faves. And I hope there’s more to it!!! There’s not a cliffhanger per se but there is an opening for more of the story! I crave it alllll. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity!! I loved it !!
I asked the universe for an FFM with a dynamic relationship, and Moon Bound Delivered!
The world building is easily captivating, and I honestly could have had more of it. But I love the use of a female Alpha here, you don't see it as often in shifter romance, so that was refreshing. Nisrine plays her role perfectly as did Luxian, but I'd be lying if I didn't say Zenith was the star of the show for me, haha. The story has a bit of a slow start. I say slow-- not that things don't happen, it's just more character focused than anything. Which was great, because I enjoyed the characters, but the pacing suffers a bit because of it. Most of the plot unfolds fairly quickly in the last half/third of the book.
Werewolves, spice, and just the right amount of drama. The world, characters, and relationship was entertaining, making it a solid read. (ARC Review)
I was one of the lucky who got to arc read this book, but the whole review, every word is my own!
I started of with a bit of a bias, I usually prefer my werewolves to be shifters, mostly human with a bit of wolf, this is more wolf with a bit of human.
But I was mindblown with how much I liked it, how quick I devoured it!
A female alpha who doesn't take shit from anyone, and don't have time for nonsense.
A female human, broken by her past.
A male werewolf, insubordinate, petty, deluded by people close to him.
It makes the way for a messy Ménage à trois, with misunderstanding, groveling and some really spicy scenes.
I was lucky enough to get this as an arc review and I loved it. Such a unique writing style. I had never read a monster romance before. Or a book where the female was the alpha and the male the submissive. I loved it. Very spicy. Keep in mind that its a monster romance and the mmc and one of the fmc's are were wolves with a human partner. Their human female just got out of a domestically violent marriage and shes still recovering from the mental toll it took on her. She is also fluffy and curvy which I absolutely loved!!
I was drawn in by the blurb. Anything werewolves and you know I'm there. That being said, this one definitely drew me in. The three main characters despite the differences of the two FMCs, in my opinion, really worked out and were compatible for this story. Zenith and Luxian's relationship was blown up when she finds out that Luxian is mated to the cold, female alpha Nisrine. It was a page turner for me and this was another triumph for this author. I've so far loved everything I've read from them, so I was confident that I was going to like this one, too.
Moun Bound was quite an entertaining read. The main characters, Zenith, Nisrine and Luxian are complex characters, but sometimes, I found it difficult to connect with them. Nisrine, for example, is distant and wants to be in control and Zenith is insecure and doesn't deal with her issues. The worldbuilding is one of the best aspects in this book. I found it very intriguing and fascinating. The action of the first half of the story is slow and then it becomes more fast-paced and dramatic. Overall, I liked the story and found it engaging and engrossing.
This was my first foray into Were/monster romance and I’m still deciding if I’m into that type of fantasy book. What I AM into was the plot! I was very invested in what malevolent force took the missing pups and whether or not Luxian, Nisrine and Zenith would get to them in time. Zenith’s story was empowering and encouraging. The last couple chapters definitely had me staying up too late to find out what happened! The spice was A+ and there is plenty of that, if that’s your thing.
✨ARC Review✨ 📖Moon Bound by Autumn Hawthorne 📖FFM Monster Romance | 347 Pages 📖Releases November 20, 2025!
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5/🌶️🌶️.5
Overall this was a good book. Lots of world building without overloading the plot line, and a very fun and exciting romance subplot. This being said, it just didn’t entice me as much as I was hoping. And that’s not anything against the book, it just wasn’t for me.
Thank you to Autumn for providing me with a copy of Moon Bound. All opinions in this review are my own!
This book had me sweating from all the spice! The three main characters have interesting and different dynamics that also change throughout the story without the lack of set up-immediate spice action that some books can have.
I really enjoyed how the story and characters’ developments morphed their relationships with not only one another but also the world they are in.
I look forward to reading more from Autumn Hawthorne in the future!!
I've been a fan of Autumn's writing since I picked up Bound By Their Blood this past spring. Moon Bound did not disappoint! Autumn has a way of blending unique, relatable characters into a fantastical setting that catches on fire with heat. These characters were lovable and hatable in equal measure for me, which made this a slightly different read for me (in a good way!) Very spicy, solid characters, and a satisfying story arc.. what more do you need?
I loved this, and it was such a great world to be drawn into! The development of the 3 main characters was well rounded, and fit well with the story. I can’t wait for book 2, so we can see more of Lux, Nis, and Zen - and to find out what happened to Lux!

Moon Bound is everything I’ve come to expect from Autumn Hawthorne: immersive, atmospheric, and full of jaw dropping world building that pulls you in from the very first page. The way Autumn crafts magic systems and mythology always feels vast yet personal, and this book is no exception. The setting is lush and eerie, layered with danger, divine power, and emotional complexity. I’ll admit, I didn’t like Nisrine at first, she came across as intimidating, even abrasive. But after a few of her POV chapters, she completely won me over. Watching her unfold into such a commanding, dominant, yet deeply layered character was one of my favorite parts of the book. She’s fierce, protective, and absolutely magnetic. I love seeing a strong female lead written this way, not softened, not apologetic, but powerful and desired for exactly who she is. The love triangle to triad dynamic between Zenith, Luxian, and Nisrine is messy, emotional, and surprisingly tender beneath all the heat. It’s the kind of relationship arc that shouldn’t work but absolutely does, thanks to the emotional honesty between the characters and the way their magic ties them together. Moon Bound is dark fantasy romance done right, sensual, high stakes, and beautifully written, with enough world depth to lose yourself in. Autumn Hawthorne once again proves she’s a master of creating universes that feel ancient, dangerous, and impossible to leave behind. 🌙🔥
I had never read a true monster romance, but I really enjoyed Moon Bound!!
This book was not what I was expecting; however, Autumn did a great job building a beautiful, complex world with intriguing creatures and a beautiful romance. I particularly enjoyed the complex relationships and how they grew throughout the novel.
Definitely a great read, and a great read around the spooky season!!
This was my first book by the author and I'm ecstatic I signed up for this ARC. Awesome world building, storyline, characters. I devoured the story is less than 48 hours and both the author prior books have been added to my TBR. I'm not big on love triangles but this one worked. I'm entering more into my monster romance era and glad to have read the book!
I received an ARC of this book and honestly, going in, I didn’t know what to expect (which I loved btw). The FFM dynamic is unseen in romance genre in general, but especially in omegaverse, where the genre is predominantly MMF. As a lover of FF romance, I loved this fresh twist! It was a breath of fresh air and Autumn Hawthorne truly outdid herself with this book. Overall amazing work!! 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
