Or, at least, as honorable as a mafia member can be. Originally the owner of a family farm, Sarang found himself bound to an omega with a dark and violent past. As an alpha and natural protector, he’s sworn to always look after Shiloh’s best interests, even if that means burying the blazing desire he feels for the other man.
Shiloh Sobu is a crook.
He hides behind a shiny veneer, a mask of innocence and weakness, but it’s all a farce. No one raised to be the prince of a mafia would be good, yet he’s managed to convince the alpha he’s obsessed with otherwise. He’s successfully dragged Sarang into his world, trapped him with the title of underboss, and yet, he still can’t seem to get what he truly wants. The alpha in his bed, his teeth in his throat.
Sarang doesn’t want to cross that line and believes Shiloh is out of his league. He spends his ruts alone, pretending not to care, but one accidental night changes everything in a flash. As an alpha, he was born to dominate and rule, but can he really allow himself to take someone like Shiloh?
Determined to get the claiming bite, Shiloh will stop at nothing to have Sarang, even if it means ripping off his mask and coming clean about who he really is.
Librarians, please don't add books. I stay up to date and add them myself and have ended up with many multiple copies because others add them later. Thank you!

What happens when you mix a feral omega with trust issues and a cinnamon roll alpha with a penchant for being rough in the bedroom? YOU GET THIS AMAZING BOOK!
Mafia Prince Shiloh is obsessed with underboss Sarang, and has been ever since Sarang saved him from attackers when he was a teenager. But he’s been lying to Sarang for years, pretending to be sweet and docile to entice the sweet, calm alpha, when really he’s a murderous little monster. Sarang has been in love with Shiloh ever since he saved his life… but he can never tell him. Because sweet, delicate Shiloh needs someone perfect for him… and that’s not Sarang. Or is it? When Shiloh shows Sarang his true colours, Sarang is thrown into confusion - does the omega he’s always wanted even exist? And is this new version even interested in him?
These two are perfect together, even though they’re both total idiots when it comes to admitting their feelings for each other! I enjoy the subversion of the alpha/omega trope, as for most of the book it’s dominant omega Shiloh chasing normal alpha Sarang, with Sarang just trying to be a Good Respectful Guy™️
Please check the trigger warnings before reading this, as it tackles some difficult issues and gets dark in places. There is mpreg in this universe, but not in this book.
Read for: ✨ MM Sci-fi Omegaverse ✨ Feral omega x cinnamon roll alpha ✨ Stronger more dominant omega ✨ Idiots in love ✨ Mafia romance ✨ Non-con, dub-con, somno ✨ Forced proximity ✨ Some very creative murders 👀🍆
Thank you to Chani for an early copy! It’s available on 13th June ✨
To be honest, I don’t really know exactly what to write about this book. It is a classic Chani Lynn Feener with pages-long trigger warnings that should be heeded. I think this volume of the series is the darkest and most disturbed. Violence, non-consent, dub-con, and manipulations are part of the author’s usual repertoire; it’s the pattern in almost all of her books, but here she has reached a new high. The last 10% of the book? An absolute shock. I don’t think the author did herself any favors with this final act, which is also reflected in the 1-star reviews. I’m not quite so strict because I know exactly what I’m getting into with her stories. So ... 4 stars and a fair warning, it’s really unhinged.
First and foremost, Chani Lynn Feener has got to be the best third person author to exist. It’s really difficult to write in third person and actually keep a reader immersed in the story.
I’ve read many books of her and this one has to be top 2, genuinely. It’s definitely the best book in the series—and that’s really saying something.
Shiloh is my spirit animal. He’s so well written, probably the best depiction of someone with a personality disorder that i’ve read about.
Sarang adjusting to Shilohs true self was probably my favorite part.
This was bad. The book is repetitive to a lot of other books of the author. The psychopat MC who is obsessed with the other one and 'wears a mask' and then randomly decides to give up this mask and just take the other MC. Very boring. There was 0 attraction or tension between them. Ofc the 'magic dick' theme was also used here. The shittiest thing is that Shiloh was raped and remained with trauma from it, but then he thinks oh in order to gain Sarang I'll also use rape and make him bite me. Wtf. Also the names Shiloh, Sarang and his sister's also starting with S and being very similar was very confusing. They could have at least receiver not such similar names.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the beguiled omegas, there might have been some spelling errors but that didn’t take away from how good these books are! Great job Chani!
I'm just not enjoying this series as much as I liked Devils of Vitality. I'm still going to read them all, but it just feels like something is missing. Maybe too much telling and explaining instead of character interaction and growth? That all being said, I did really like both of these characters.
This is the 3rd book I've tried to get into by the author and its an impossible task, DNF at 18%. I can't believe this book is No. 1 on some Amazon list because I wanted to throw hands after reading 6 chapters.
Very mild spoilers & thoughts for the small part that I did read:
The Alpha's name is Sarang & I'm sorry, but all I could think of was Saran Wraps and sarongs. So I couldn't take the chara seriously at all.
Shiloh, the Omega, is also a big, fat liar who fakes a miscarriage & then admits it and apart from being mildly loud, Saran Wrap just shrugs it off...ok, listen, I love lying, manipulative, black & red-flag charas who do extremely toxic things, but seriously WTF?
Like there is zero reason for Shiloh to lie about it, the only pathetic excuse is that Shiloh liked getting attention from Saran Wrap while pretending to be pregnant. It's passed off so lightly in a few sentences that I wanted to scream.
He also fake dated some other chara, I guess to make Saran Wrap jelly? Maybe? I don't know, but it's another fact which ks just casually mentioned and we just move on.
Then Shiloh, trades places with the Omega sex worker who is hired by Saran Wrap since he is going into his rut, AFTER the Alpha takes the sex worker into a room or hut or whatever. Bruh, what? How the hell d0es that happen? This dude so stupid he doesn't realize he's with a completely different person? He even says that the sex worker smells like Shiloh.
*bangs head against the wall*
For someone who has been pinning for the Shiloh, over 3 years, this Saran Wrap guy can't recognize Shiloh's voice when they're having sex. Now if these two had never spoken to each other, I'd totally buy this plot hole, but Shiloh & his Plastic Cling Wrap Alpha are in some sort of mafia, and Shiloh, the mafia Prince or whatnot, made that idiot Alpha his right-hand man which means these two had to spend a good part of their working hours together in close proximity and YET this cluster of cells, Saran Wrap can't recognize his boss's voice just because it's dark or something? The man he loves?
Da faq level of ludicrous suspension of disbelief do I need to to read this book?
I gave up after that because seriously y'all I just couldn't deal.
I feel incredibly lucky to be one of the people who got access to this gem before release and was even able to finish it before publication. ❤️
This series is without a doubt my favorite by Chani Lynn Feener. I’m always a sucker for an alpha/omega relationship, so this book already had my attention from the start.
Sarang and Shiloh were such an interesting pair. I really enjoyed the dynamic between them, especially the contrast between Sarang’s honorable, protective nature and Shiloh’s carefully crafted mask of innocence hiding a much darker side. The blurb promised an obsessive, complicated relationship between a mafia prince determined to get what he wants and an alpha who refuses to cross the line, and the story absolutely delivered. 🔥
I do have to admit that I usually prefer when the alpha is the wilder, more possessive one rather than the omega, so at first I wasn’t entirely sure how I would feel about the dynamic. However, the role reversal ended up being one of the book’s biggest strengths. It felt fresh, unique, and unlike many other omegaverse stories I’ve read.
Watching Shiloh slowly reveal who he really was while pursuing the claiming bite he desperately wanted made for such an engaging read. The tension between the characters was fantastic, and by the end I was completely invested in them. 🖤
Overall, this was a unique and addictive addition to an already amazing series. If you love mafia romance, alpha/omega dynamics, obsessive characters, and plenty of tension, this book is definitely worth picking up. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I finished this book yesterday and let it rest during the night so I could write my review with a clear head. As usual, Chani have an incredible way of writing in 3rd person and I'm in love with her stories.
Sadly, this time I kinda felt disappointed because I thought that for a change we'll get a character sain of mind (ish) paired with a psychopath (that would've been a change in dynamics) but in the end both were pretty psychotic. I have nothing against it and honestly I'll eat anything Chani will publish, but I kinda liked the calm/innocent version of Shiloh and was surprised when everything was revealed to be a farce (and sadly my perspective changed then). Also I felt bad most of the book for Sarang, it was a little bit exhausting emotionally.
Also, I read the first version with the R at the end, this sadly spoiled a bit the book for me : I don't mind non-con/dub-con between characters, but when it's a third party who gets involved and it's not an attemptas said in the trigger warnings, it's a different thing. Didn't trigger me personnaly, but just made me sad. *Just so you know, the author did update the version and the R act was taken away so feel safe to read it now if it's a trigger for you : I really appreciate the reaction speed that Chani had regarding the reviews and how quickly she made the adjustments.
Regardless of this book, I'm still excited to read her next work!
Didn't like that one even though I read it fast. Still debating if it is 2 stars or no rating due to the whole omegaverse thing not being something I enjoy really ever.
This one was very dark even for a Chani Lynn Feener book. And I often enjoy dark but this was dark exactly the wrong way?
From the beginning it looked like the character Shiloh would be subverting some of the omegaverse conventions for omegas and even doing a 180 from the meek fragile delicate character he was in the previous book.
Some light spoilers ahead:
But by the end all that subversion did another 180 and kind of landed on the original trad-wifey conventions for omegas in such stories and I found that deeply unsettling and uninteresting at the same time. Then there is rape of the MC very much on page just thrown in but it's fine because the MC has a personality disorder and thus he explains that doesn't bother him... Yes, thats super dark even for dark romance but also in combination with coming full circle back to the trad-wifey omegaverse stuff I'm always sideeying anyways... I don’t know. It's unsettling. The author is usually good at expressing not just in the foreword but also in the text that this is in fact fucked up and trying not normalize such stuff through the book in real life. And the other MC is given that role in this situation but I don't think it worked well here.
I just couldn’t get through the book after Shiloh was raped at 94%. That’s where the book ends for gods sake. There was no warning whatsoever just a casual rape scene before being reintroduced to the other mc. I get that it’s dark romance but that was just too weird and hard to stomach. Also, this series is becoming tired and repetitive. It seems like every book consists of the same two mcs in a different font. While I’m still able to love them, every book just reminds me of the last. A single minded, obsessed and possibily diagnosed pyscopath mc pining for the other mc that must simply resist until he has been d*cked down enough to see reason. I tried my best to understand Bishop as a character and this may be based on my personal opinion but he wasn’t a likable character. He acted like a single minded worker bee following his queen (Shiloh)’s every command. He was too invested in Shiloh’s love life for me. The book wasn’t really mafia focused too. They’re in the mafia but all day everyday the leaders do nothing but run around the city putting on theatric displays for the sole purpose of obsession and sex. This book just didn’t do it for me but I’m still hopeful about the next one in the series.

What a ride. Just what I needed. This author truly has a way in not only capturing your attention from the start but also keeping you locked in for the ride. At this point in time I have read and enjoyed a lot of her work. I can say her characters are unique, and though some have similarities you can tell which POV you're reading. These two hit different, and though they were both keeping secrets from the other one (pretty big ones) when we finally get the to be true to not only each other but themselves its like coming home. The scene where Shiloh finally dropped the mask and let Sarang See him was epic, and written in a way where it seemed like a movie in my head. These characters are twisted in a way that you can say they definitely belong to one another. For those who have not read her book before, I would suggested to definitely read those trigger warnings because this book is one of those that deep dives into some traumatic events. I will most likely re-read this in a years time. Also, if it wasnt for having to do a project for class, I would have finished this in one day. twenty four hours . I could not put it down, I resented having to be an adult who had a job and going to college for the time it took out of not being in the world, and knowing what happened.

I DEVOURED this one! Chani Lynn Feener never disappoints, honestly. I spent most of the day reading and was really having the time of my life. I loved the unsual setup of a more dominant omega, who is crazy and a psychopath, and a soft alpha. However, I did not like the switch up in the second half, I wished Sarang stayed how he was before. But all in all, I would still highly recommend this, even though His Snowbound Omega is still going to be my favorite in this series. Also, do read the trigger warnings, I seriously don't have much to say, sorry, I just switched off my brain honestly and vibed while reading... But, I just wish there was a liiiittle more communication between the MCs, we could've avoided so many things from happening... I am honestly just reaaally excited for the next one in the series featuring Levi, who I really grew to like in the previous books, and I just cannot wait for his book!
*I received an ARC, but this is my honest review on it.*
This was a pleasant surprise. I had no clue this was going to be the dynamic between Shiloh and Sarang from my impression of them from ‘His Secret Omega’.
I liked that the omega Shiloh was the dominant party and primarily chased the Alpha. I also appreciated the deep dive on his unspecified personality disorder and how his childhood trauma and survival needs informed much of his personal beliefs including his skepticism about love. He is honestly one of the funniest characters in this entire series.
It was interesting to see Sarang rip off his ‘nice guy’ persona driven partly by revenge but also releasing the pessimism that had been instilled in him by an absentee father. Much like Shiloh he had to shed the parental neglect that was holding them back to consummate their love. The romance really opens up when Sarang insists on teaching Shiloh to trust his emotions and believe in love again. 4/5 stars.
***I’m excited for Elm’s novel with the Leviathan. From the epilogue, it seems he may have been subject to the same drug that changed Fenrir’s secondary gender/proclivity? Or maybe he’s a late bloomer like Sky? Will wait and see.
Reading about a psychopathic omega was a nice change! I absolutely loved Shiloh's devotion and how much he wanted Sarang. He would do anything to have his alpha forever. Sarang was also deeply in love with Shiloh but didn't think his omega could handle being with him.
If they had talked since the beginning, this book would have been like 100 pages long. The lack of communication was a bit frustrating, but since Sarang and Shiloh are very different people, it made sense that communication would be difficult at first. They both had too many secrets. Though, it took too long for them to try and talk everything out.
This reminds me a bit of "Say I do" by Brea Alepoú and Skyler Snow. It's messy and bloody, with possessive boyfriends. The miscommunications were a bit off-putting, but the way it was incorporated, felt natural for the MMC's. They are both destructive, obsessed with one another and feel like the other is not fully theirs. At times it did get a bit boring, I couldn't care less about all the side characters, the story, at least to me was not as interesting as the romance side and character growth. The betrayal was like, okay, so that happened instead of something that I actively thought of. That being said, I did enjoy this book a lot and had a great time reading it.
Does this happen to anyone else or is it just me, but I hate when MC's have names that start with the same letter (written), I keep mixing them up 😅.
Also, I do recommend reading books 1 and 2, because this one has little to no world-building, so sometimes it is hard to understand what is what
Sarang, an Alpha farmer, saved Shiloh, an Omega Mafia Prince, from death and became Kian's right hand man. This also made Kian's brother Shiloh off-limits to Sarang though the unscrupulous Shiloh still wants him as his Alpha. Sarang 's honor won't allow it but that means little to the Dominant, possessive Omega. This is a truly dark romance with Shiloh pretty unlikeable, unable to love, only his own desires allowed yet wanting to be claimed more than life itself. Sarang's feelings of unworthiness and entrapping of Shiloh have to be forcibly overcome and everyone is dragged into their affairs before the outcome. I loved this one and went over to the dark side with all the capturing, lying, forced activities, violence and possession. Be prepared - it's never an easy courtship, only ownership and dominance.
i think chani lynn fraser perfectly captures the chaos that the abo dynamics can be and it was so good to read. the possessiveness, the mind games - the omega kidnapping the alpha and inducing his ruts and then in revenge the alpha gets freed and kidnaps the omega and drugs him so he can fuck him in his sleep??? what was going on - i have no idea, but i was so invested.
i think i had one small problem with the way the omega's abuses were handled - near the end he was raped again and when asked if he was ok his only answer was something like "it's okay, i already went through this" 😵💫😵💫 it just felt harrowing to me. and look the book is full of abuse and non consenting things going on but somehow this got me and i felt so sorry for him. i wish there was more development in that aspect, but i really liked the messiness of this book.

dominant omega shiloh is obsessed with his underboss alpha sarang who had saved his life. since that day, shiloh has become obsessed with sarang. changing his personality, pretending to be someone else to appease and get the alpha's bite.
this book definitely has the dark elements chani lynn feener is known for. this was a good read. loved the omega chasing the alpha for a change and the way sarang became equally obsessed and dark later in the book.
the only problem i had was that the monologue from both the characters did get a bit repetitive to the point i had to skip some parts because why are we going over the same thing again and again?
This book is dark and has all the delicious yearning and pining.
Shiloh is so determined to get his alpha by any means necessary but he doesn't realize he's had him all along.
Sarang doesn't think he's worthy of the Prince and is too afraid of risking his ability to take care of his family to go for what he truly wants.
I love this book! I received an advance review copy of His Forbidden Omega by Chani Lynn Feener for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily. It's so dark and yummy.
“Don’t be so flippant about his heart, is all I’m trying to say. You’re going to want it, so it’s best not to do anything that could jeopardize him giving it to you.” “I’ll just take it?” Duh.
“Love has to be freely given.”
I love that Shiloh is willing to do anything to get his man. He's kind of scary and brutal but it's perfect for Sarang. I love how possessive they are of each other. #swoon
Loved this one! The push and pull between the MCs was exhilarating, and I really appreciated that it was more than just a sexual draw. Sarang’s desire to grow into love with Shiloh added such a meaningful emotional layer, and it made their connection feel even more satisfying. I received an ARC and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. I love this universe because there’s always that delicious insta-lust, of course under the guise of the alpha/omega dynamic, but the emotional development is what really makes these stories shine. Chani has such a lovely way of letting the characters truly find each other and connect on a deeper level. As always, I’m already looking forward to the next installment!
I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
I had read the previous 2 books in the series, so I'm glad I was approved as an ARC reader for this one. 🫶🏻
Though I think there is several headhopping and over-explaining, it doesn't deter me to finish this book. If you like omegaverse, this series is for you.
Shiloh is a perfect character for a power bottom omega (who said omegas must be weakass damsels in distress??). The 'main boss' scene is SOOOOO COOL. ☠️ The mutilation and gore do not repel me because I'm used to dark theme, but be warned if this is not your forte, as is explained in the content warning.
Overall, I'm waiting for the next book in the series (Levi and Elm, seriously? That dominus power alpha and a beta?? How will it work?)
Thank you Chani for the opportunity to read an early copy for review.
This book definitely leans more into the darker side than the previous book but was just as reflective and intriguing. I loved the dynamic between Rang and Loh and seeing how their relationship started and how it’s evolved over the years. I don’t want to get too deep into the details/story but the way Loh processes trauma is so matter of fact and a “it is what it is” mentality while Rang can see the truth/affects of his trauma and subsequent actions & behaviours. This book had me crying at times especially when Rang was teaching Loh how to love and showing him that he’s worthily of love 🩶🖤 can’t wait to see what happens next 🫶🏼
A bit of mixed feelings about this one. I loove Shiloh and how obsessed he is with Sarang and all his stupid ass plans to get him. That's my lil stupid baby over there. I also really like how Sarang understood that Shiloh's personality over the years wasn't all fake, and the way he used the marbles to show Shiloh what love is. So cute
But the last few chapters kinda ruined it for me. The mess with Diogenes felt unneccesary and it didn't let me enjoy the long-awaited bite :/ I also hate what happened to the marbles, they were so precious and Shiloh cared for them so much :(
This was another omegaverse book that I devoured! I was on the fence about Sarang and Shiloh but I loved them by the end! Chani writes such amazing characters and I love the worlds she build.
This was another fantastic book. Shiloh and Sarang were perfect for each other. I really enjoyed their dynamic. The tension was so good! I liked the little twist of Shiloh being a dominant omega and being the one going after Sarang for a good chunk of the book.
Just like the rest this was an addictive read. I loved every second of it! This is dark, so I do recommend checking the trigger warnings. I can’t wait to read about Elm and Levi! Thank you to Chani for the early copy!
my third chani lynn book and i have to say that i loved this!
the feral/unhinged/more-than-a-little-psychotic omega and a sweet alpha who just wants to be a good guy (but who is secretly in love with said omega prince) trope was a good read.
i liked that it was shiloh doing the chasing slash entrapping it was a nice change to see the omega putting in the brunt of the work. loved it!
it was also nice to see how sarang worked and adjusted with shiloh’s personality disorder, it was interesting to see how he used the marbels and cake to show shiloh that he was deserving of love and that was what he needed
the twist at the end was not expected at all and i liked how everything wrapped up!
WTHHHH this was a total plot turner for me omg shiloh?? My sweet innocent baby is actual evil? YESSSSSSS haha I went into this book with no knowledge of what was gonna happen and omg did I love it!!!
The plot, the characters everything perfect! It took me out of my month long reading slump... Not a single moment where I was reading this book was I bored!!!
It's sooo good I absolutely love it... Now give me 7 other books in this exact series rn lmao jk
BUT Chani Lynn Feener has done it again... Written an amazing book.
It's dark and It perfect underplays experiencesnthat Shiloh doesn't consider traumatic.. the POVs of the characters are soo perfectly themmm
