The Witchness Protection Programme: a Pirikahu Village spicy, cozy fantasy

Rate this book
I’m Tessa—I mean Scarlett,

a healing witch who has found herself in the most annoying and unlikely of being forced to leave my life behind because of what I witnessed the King’s men doing one day in an alley.

Now, I’m in a village next to dragon territory, suppressing my magic and changing my face with a daily potion.

But it might not be all bad. I’ve bought a secondhand bookstore that gives me a chance to fulfil a long-forgotten dream and will hopefully win over all the tight-knit villagers. Unfortunately, Books, Brews, & Booze needs a lot of work before it can open.

Enter the cocky, flirtatious, and handsome handyman.

Adalwolf Wright.

Wolf is capable and flirty, with his own secret past that I’m far too curious about.

I have to maintain my new identity, but an injured baby dragon and strong forearms are trying to thwart my efforts.

Is it possible to truly start over, or will I be running from the king’s reach forever?

The Witchness Protection Programme is the start of a humorous, spicy, cozy fantasy series with a curvy main character over thirty.

The banter, the found family, the booksop, coffee and booze shop. It was cosy and had it all.
It started slower, but this is common for cosy fantasy, but once i got into it, i couldnt put it down.

Cosy Fantasy
FMC healing witch
Curvy FMC over 30
Witch in hiding
MMC handyman
Banter
Found family
Dragons
Spice 2 chilli peppers

Our FMC is Tessa/Scarlett, who has moved due to a witness protection program. I loved seeing her heal and grow as a person and find her people. I found her relatable and enjoyed her character.

Our MMC is Wolf. I loved the flirty banter between him and Scarlett. I enjoyed seeing his journey through the book and finding more about him.

Found family is my favourite trope, no suprises i rated this 5 stars. This was done to perfection!
And special mention to the creative religion worshipping dragons and using mild hallucinogen drinks. This was such a fun addition.

This was an amazing cosy fantasy with books, coffee, booze and a witch in hiding with a handsome handyman. Oh, and dragons!

What a unique concept! I went into this book completely blind, recommended by a friend. I was surprised at the little bits of intense spice hidden in what is mostly a super cute and cozy story.
Written to perfection, descriptive, and with some side characters to fall in love with, this really is a feel good story.

This was such a fun read! Full of banter, found family and just a fun time the whole way though.

I loved watching Tessa grow as a person, realise what she truly wanted in life and went for it even though her circumstances were less than ideal.

Wolf is a hunk and I loved his flirty banter throughout the book even though he was hiding many of his own secrets I still loved him throughout.

The found family dynamics in here were so beautiful and I would love to be able to join them in their boozy bookclub and dragon festivals.

The spice was so good and I just had the best time reading this book.

If youre looking for a cozy fantasy that has lots of love, spice, found family, magic, coffee and booze this one is for you
