I was there the day Ivy’s life went from normal to hell on earth. I watched them stitch up every external wound…and watched her pretend it was enough. Then she was gone. Not from me—she was never mine. She was his. And I had to watch that, too. I strapped into my Raptor and flew into the night to avenge what they did to her. And I had to do it beside him, because he always got to be the hero. Then the op went sideways. Now that same hell is coming back for her. And this time, I’m the one standing between her and the darkness closing in. The problem? Even though she isn’t his anymore, she still is. He still calls her his wife. And she still looks at him like he hung the damn moon.
I don’t know who’s after me—but I know why. No one wants their victim escaping. No one wants the United States military hunting them down. And somehow, I’m at the center of the chaos. Me…and my three-year-old daughter. Kyler failed me. Or maybe we failed each other. And even if my heart hasn’t accepted it, he isn’t mine anymore. Which leaves Dalton. My friend. My protector. And now…my roommate. He looks at me like he sees past the wreckage and straight to the woman I used to be. I’m shattered—but for the first time in years, someone might know how to put me back together.
Brilee Scott is a Top 5 Amazon best-selling contemporary military romance author. Her books are filled with swoon-worthy romance, heart stopping action and suspense, and the promise of a hard-fought happily ever after.
Brilee is teacher-turned-author, wife to an aerospace engineer, and mama to the sweetest little boy (plus two very spoiled Australian Shepherds).
She studied education and fiction writing in college before spending several years teaching kindergarten and earning her master’s degree in literacy. Inspired by her husband’s career in military aviation, her deep-rooted patriotism, and her love of happily ever afters, Brilee found her way back to writing.
The idea for Viking, her debut novel, sparked during a family day at an airshow—proof that jet noise and love stories pair surprisingly well. She now writes heartfelt, high-stakes romance featuring elite fighter pilots, fierce heroines, and the kind of chemistry that lingers long after the last page.
Brilee and her family call Florida home, though they’re currently at Edwards AFB in California, where her husband is part of a next-generation fighter program. She’s hard at work on the rest of The Silent Pursuit series—and a few spin-offs about characters she just couldn’t let go of.
I had the privilege of receiving an ARC of Ghost. This is the third book I’ve read from Brilee Scott. As someone who rarely delves into romance and can count on less than one hand my military reads, I will say, she knows how to get me to enjoy both, and Ghost was no different. She writes in a way that makes you feel like you are a part of the family in this cast of characters. The story is captivating and I flew through the pages with a quickness. I’m looking forward to the rest of what this series has to offer!

This review is based on an Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the author in exchange for an honest review. This review may contain spoilers.
Every time I read one of Brilee Scott’s books, it somehow becomes my new favorite. Even when I think she couldn’t possibly top the last one, she manages to outdo herself again, and Ghost is no exception. It feels like this one will be darn near impossible to top—but if there’s one thing Brilee Scott consistently proves, it’s that she’s capable of the impossible. I have no doubts that she’ll continue to outshine herself with each new release of the Silent Pursuit series.
After reading the spinoff, Chance, returning to the characters from Brilee’s debut, Viking, felt like coming home. The found family she has created within this series is one of its greatest strengths. Even characters who haven’t yet had their own books feel fully realized, and every ensemble scene carries the kind of warmth and familiarity that makes the reader feel fully a part of the group itself. Dalton’s moments with his squadron and Ivy’s scenes with her friends were some of my favorites, but the real magic happens when everyone comes together. The banter, camaraderie, and unwavering loyalty between these characters feel effortless and genuine. Brilee has built such a strong foundation for this world, and I’m so excited for every love story still to come. Every character feels distinct and memorable in their own way—though Hadley may have permanently claimed the top spot in my heart (but more on her later).
When I sat down to write this review, the word that kept coming to mind was “contrast.” It exists in every layer of Ghost—the timelines, the relationships, the characters, the emotional arcs—and Brilee Scott handles all of it with remarkable balance and precision.
What truly sets Ghost apart is its structure. Told through three points of view across dual timelines, the story unfolds with an emotional complexity that feels incredibly ambitious yet completely seamless. In the present timeline, we watch love slowly take shape. In the past, we see love unravel in real time. That juxtaposition gives the story an emotional weight that will genuinely take your breath away. I’ve read a lot of romance novels, but I can honestly say I’ve never encountered a structure executed quite like this. Even after finishing the book, I found myself thinking not only about the story itself, but about the craftsmanship behind it and how carefully every thread was woven together.
Ivy is such a compelling and layered FMC. I loved the contrast between her world as a ballet dancer and the military careers surrounding her. While her past storyline is heartbreaking, it’s essential to understanding who she becomes in the present. Watching the difference between the way she internalized and buried her trauma with Kyler versus the way she slowly learned to open up with Dalton was both devastating and deeply hopeful. Kyler and Ivy’s relationship ultimately became a casualty of circumstance, and because we’re allowed to fully experience that trajectory through the past timeline, the emotional payoff in the present lands so much harder. Watching Ivy slowly find safety, stability, and healing with Dalton felt incredibly earned.
And speaking of the MMCs—Brilee Scott truly knows how to write a swoon-worthy man. Both Kyler and Dalton are exceptional in completely different ways. When Kyler first appeared on the page, I genuinely questioned how I was ever supposed to root for anyone else. His chemistry with Ivy was immediate and electric, and because we get to see the full evolution of their relationship, we’re allowed to fall in love with him alongside her. Even though this isn’t ultimately his love story, Brilee does such an excellent job laying the groundwork for his future book, and I already know I’ll be first in line to read it (Picture me setting up my tent like I’m waiting for a Black Friday sale. That’s where I’ll be until December...).
But Dalton is the steady center Ivy needs. He’s protective without being overbearing, comforting without losing his edge, and emotionally intelligent enough to challenge Ivy in the ways she most needs with unwavering patience and support. Outside of the romance, I especially appreciated the way Brilee handled Dalton’s relationship with the Kyler. Moments that could have easily leaned into jealousy, resentment, or competition instead carried an underlying respect and maturity that made the dynamic feel even richer. I’m so excited to see how that relationship continues to evolve throughout the series.
And then there’s Hadley—the tiny scene-stealer of the entire book. She captures the energy of a sassy three-year-old so perfectly that I found myself laughing out loud nearly every time she spoke. Her moments with Dalton were especially sweet and added so much warmth to a story carrying significant emotional weight. I’m already hoping she continues popping up throughout the rest of the series because she brought such a necessary sense of levity and heart to the story.
Once again, Brilee’s handling of the military aspects in the story is incredibly impressive. Whether she’s writing flight scenes, briefings, or the day-to-day dynamics within the squadron, every detail feels authentic and immersive. Before reading Viking, I knew very little about that world, but Brilee writes with such confidence and specificity that the setting never feels performative—it feels lived in. The terminology, procedures, slang, and atmosphere all work together to fully transport the reader right to the military base, the air shows, or the cockpit.
I could genuinely go on and on about Ghost and Brilee Scott’s breathtaking prose, but at the risk of this review becoming longer than the novel itself, I’ll leave it at this: if you love military romance, slow burn love stories, forced proximity, found family, emotionally layered storytelling, and an unconventional love triangle, you absolutely need to read Ghost.
Congrats to Brilee Scott on delivering another stunning installment in the Silent Pursuit series! This book completely blew me away, and I’ve already started counting down the days until the next one!
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Dalton’s dream has always been to fly. Ever since he was a kid, he wanted to be a pilot of a Raptor. Raised by a military father, his roots run deep.
Kyler is military as well, and he meets Ivy for the first time in an unassuming way, but the sparks and tension begin immediately. He is the morally gray, dangerous one who steals your heart. We do jump perspectives quite a bit as this story gets started, but I remember a little of Ivy from the first book, Viking.
Ivy has a history and plenty of skeletons in her closet. We are given very few clues about the details, but it seems she and Dalton share a past. Of course, that immediately intrigued my spidey senses.
Circumstances quickly bring Ivy and Dalton back into each other’s orbit, creating plenty of tension and unanswered questions. Things get juicy fast, and I wanted all the dirty laundry. Ivy has a backbone, thank goodness, even if she is scared out of her mind.
I adore the rivalry and camaraderie between the Air Force and Army personnel. Their teasing and humor make this story feel like home. The forced proximity is wonderful as Dalton is both protective and caring. Ivy’s damage is not just from Kyler, but I really cannot wait to learn about all the skeletons in her closet. Despite being damaged and slow to trust, she is a loving mom to Hadley and always puts her daughter’s health and safety first.
The author brings in PTSD and mental health issues such as anxiety, panic attacks, and other struggles that feel very relevant to both this story and the lives of military personnel and their families.
This story has a complicated love triangle with damage, time, and memories hanging between them all. I’m enjoying the heck out of it, mostly because Ivy is the type of woman who shines even when she is broken.
Dalton is the fierce, steady safety needed to heal the broken. Kyler is more like a sledgehammer, but somehow effective. This story is as much about the present as it is about the past, and I appreciated the way the author led us through the memories, feelings, and emotions. I was hopeful for the romance and healing, but also for those quiet moments where you might just catch the rainbow shining through.
I adore how Brilee Scott captures the simple moments that feel cozy and special while also portraying the reality of being a military spouse. The strong and broken parts, the grace and fear, the warmth and rawness of it all. It is beautiful in its own way and incredibly relatable.
Yeah, I saw that coming. There was no way they were going to stay in forced proximity for that long without things becoming complicated. Love triangles are not my favorite trope, but I appreciate that this one makes sense.
The tarmac heats up, and so does the danger for both Dalton and Ivy.
The emotional payoff of this story reminded me that family is not always blood, but choice, and that love often happens when you least expect it. Ivy’s story is a hard hitter, but I think I actually cried more through Chance. However, that does not make me want to stop reading these books. I love the way the author writes, pulling at the heartstrings while representing military life from the perspective of the women, not just the men who serve and protect.
I adored Hadley. She definitely brought sunshine to the story. I enjoyed watching the relationships develop throughout the story and seeing the characters grow together. Kyler and Dalton accepting the complicated situation while wanting what was best made it much easier for the story to progress.
There were so many moments where, as a veteran’s wife, I found myself thinking, “Yeah, she gets it.” The way Brilee Scott described things and related them felt very true to life.
This book is soul touching, and even with all the damage and heartbreak, I think it will resonate with many young women who find themselves falling in love with a soldier.
I also adored the found family that includes previous characters like Lila and Viking, Allina and Wells, and even Townsend.
I’m excited to see where the series goes next.
The glossary in the back is a nice touch for readers who are unfamiliar with military terminology. Maybe I read too many military romances because I totally did not need it.
Thank you Brilee Scott and Books and Bloom PR for the arc copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.
There are times when I wish I had the words that great authors do so I could fully express what a book made me feel, and Ghost is one of those books. Brilee Scott is a master of military romance. She captures the realities of service with remarkable authenticity—the sacrifices made by those who serve, the lasting effects of trauma, and the impact it has on the families who love them. The mental health aspects, particularly PTSD, were handled with care, respect, and realism. I especially appreciated the exploration of what it means to end a relationship while still loving and caring deeply for that person. The flashbacks were also expertly done, providing important context without ever feeling confusing or disruptive to the story. Ghost is part of the Silent Pursuit series, and readers will be delighted to see the found family from Viking and Chance return. Every character, whether central or supporting, feels fully developed. The teasing banter, unwavering loyalty, difficult conversations, and genuine friendships create a dynamic that feels both heartfelt and real. Dalton is an Air Force pilot. Ivy is a ballerina and former hostage in South Africa. Kyler is the Delta Force operator who rescued her from the terrorist cell that held her captive. This story does an incredible job of presenting each character's perspective on those life-altering events. Without giving away spoilers, I'll simply say that the emotional depth is extraordinary. The novel seamlessly blends a contemporary love story with high-stakes action as the characters work to keep Ivy, Hadley, and each other safe. At the same time, readers witness a first love unraveling under the weight of severe trauma. Ivy is an especially complex and compelling character whose past continues to shape her present. Watching her gradually learn to trust Dalton instead of carrying everything alone was beautiful. Through his patience, steadiness, and quiet support, he becomes the safe place she needs to begin healing. At the start of the book, I was fully invested in Kyler and Ivy and couldn't imagine them ending up apart. I was also incredibly frustrated with Noa. However, Brilee Scott carefully builds healing journeys for both Kyler and Ivy that feel authentic and satisfying. The groundwork she lays naturally creates excitement for the next book—Kyler's story—which I am eagerly awaiting. Dalton ultimately becomes exactly what Ivy needs: a steady, reliable presence who doesn't push or pressure her but instead gives her the space and control she desperately needs after everything she's endured. I also appreciated how Scott handled the relationship between Kyler and Dalton. Their connection is approached with maturity, respect, and a shared desire to protect the people they care about. After all, the more people who love and support someone, the better. And I have to mention Hadley. Her wit and personality absolutely stole several scenes, and I genuinely laughed out loud at some of her comments. For a three-year-old character, she felt surprisingly memorable and entertaining. Finally, the military elements were excellent. They felt authentic, realistic, and thoughtfully integrated into both the action and character development. If you enjoy military romance with slow-burn chemistry, forced proximity, found family, emotional depth, and adrenaline-filled action, Ghost is absolutely a book you should pick up.
Wow!! I have been so excited to read this book since I first saw it on social media. It did not disappoint!
Ghost absolutely wrecked me in the best possible way.
Brilee Scott has such a gift for writing characters who feel real. Their pain, hope, fear, and healing never felt forced, it all unfolded so naturally that I forgot I was reading and just lived every moment alongside them.
Ivy’s journey broke my heart. Watching her slowly find pieces of herself again after everything she’d endured was emotional, inspiring, and incredibly moving. Dalton “Ghost” Everett was exactly the steady presence she needed. He wasn’t loud or overbearing—he simply showed up, loved fiercely, and became her safe place. Their connection was built on trust, quiet understanding, and countless little moments that meant everything.
And then there’s Kyler. Every scene with him tugged at my emotions. I loved the relationship he shared with Dalton, and I appreciated that this wasn’t written as a typical love triangle. Instead, it explored the different ways love, loyalty, and family can exist, making the story feel even more meaningful.
Hadley was such a sweet, funny little side character and I loved how she just fit right in with Dalton and the guys. The banter between the squadron guys gives a little extra lightness to such a deep emotional story.
The suspense added just the right amount of tension, keeping me glued to the pages while the emotional depth kept my heart completely invested. I laughed, teared up more than once, and by the time I reached the epilogue, I was sitting there wishing the story wasn’t over.
This series just keeps getting better, and now I’m already counting down the days until the next book. Brilee Scott has officially become one of those authors I’ll happily auto-read every single time.
Thank you to the author for the ARC. All thoughts are my own. ❤️
Oh my goodness Brilee does it again! I’m in awe of the way she makes us feel like we’re right there with the characters. The way this story completely broke my heart and then put it back together! I literally couldn’t put it down but yet I didn’t want it to end. That epilogue did me in!
We first meet Dalton “Ghost” Everett and Ivy Wade in Viking, only their paths have crossed a few times over the years. Having gone through things no one should Ivy is just a shell of who she used to be but Dalton is there however she needs. The silent understanding and chemistry between these two is seen and felt from the beginning. They’re perfect for each other. The banter and tender moments between them had me so giddy.
I absolutely loved all the Kyler snippets and how they pulled him into the fold. The understanding between Kyler and Dalton is so refreshing and handled so well. Any chapter that has Hadley in it has her stealing the show! I can’t wait to see the co parenting dynamic between Ivy and Kyler.
This is definitely not your typical love triangle and I loved how Brilee wrote this! The suspense was a nice added touch to this military romance and I’m so excited to read more! Thank you to Brilee for the arc!
And she looks…lighter. Not fixed. Not healed. But lighter. Like the weight isn’t crushing her the way it was.
The way she looked at me last night like she wasn’t afraid anymore. Like whatever this is between us finally stopped being something we were both trying to ignore.
“Something serious and real with you.” I turn slightly toward her. “Good because you’re not someone I could ever be casual about.” Her gaze lifts to mine then, searching carefully. “You’re very sure of that.” “Yes.”

Thank you Brilee, NetGalley, and Victory Editing for this ARC.
This story tore my heart apart. What do you get from this book: healing, trauma, friendship, love, feeling safe, and probably anything else you could think of. Was this a love triangle? Yes? No?
Ivy and Kyler are divorced learning how to navigate this new territory in their lives while figuring out how to co-parent, all while Kyler continues working in special-ops. Their love was never in question with each other. After a horrific incident with Ivy, everything between them started to change and they couldn't recover from it. But when the past comes back to threaten them, Dalton steps up to protect her.
Dalton (we met in Viking) is a fighter pilot that has worked alongside Kyler before. When a threat reaches stateside, he takes the initiative and has Ivy and her daughter move into his place for added protection. Ivy lost a part of herself when she was kidnapped and never fully recovered. Dalton is patient with Ivy and we watch how things slowly start to become easier for her. The silent understanding between them was easy to feel. We watch Ivy slowly regain pieces of herself and become the person she used to be.
This story will pull at every emotion you have. We get all three POVs from this story. Which made it even harder because you fall in love with both Dalton and Kyler. But ultimately, this book is about Ivy's journey: her healing, her recovery, and discovering what she truly needed.
Wow! Top gun meets epic love story. Absolutely loved this book.
4.75⭐️ 3/5 🌶️
This book is about Ivy. And she has experienced something very traumatic. Throughout the book she is trying to hold everything together and find a way back to her old self. But what happens when that seems impossible? Does she settles for her new self? Besides Ivy we also follow Kyler, a special forces guy who does everything he can to protect the ones he loves. But can he do that while also doing his job? Then there is Dalton, a F-22 pilot who has seen a lot and is now a show flyer, who still gets pulled into real fights. Can he make everyone feel safe?
3 storylines which are intertwined in many ways. There are so many words I can say to say how good this was. It is just not possible to write it all down. It is the first book I read from Brilee and I can't wait to read more. There is trauma, humor, guessing at what is going to happen.
I always give an honest review. So I will share why it is not a 5⭐️ read for me. There is a lot of time jumping in the book, mostly in the first 35-45%. I had some struggles to figure out where I was, what was happening. It wasn't annoying or anything just took me a bit extra time to read.
You will love this book: - War / army elements, such as F-22 flights - Found family - Second change in love - Finding yourself
I got this book as an arc from the author, thank you so much for that.
Before I read Brilee Scott’s first book, Viking, I would’ve said I don’t read military romance. Now, I can confidently, wholeheartedly say I’m a fan.
Brilee knows how to get you right in the feels. She is so knowledgeable about the Air Force and the Army it makes it easy to follow. I’ve read a few books written by former military (American Sniper, etc.) but nothing like this. Brilee’s writing is what makes her books unique. She hooks you from chapter one. I could not put this book down. I was up til 3 am reading this last night and it took ALL of my self control to turn my kindle off.
The characters are captivating and are easy to root for. The FMC in this one is a character we met in Viking. Her strength is unreal. It was heartbreaking learning her and Kyler’s story. Dalton, I already loved from Viking. He was hilarious. I knew it even when I was reading Viking he was one to watch out for. It’s always the quiet ones. His growth was nice to read about and his relationship with Hadley was adorable.

I absolutely loved Ghost by Brilee Scott. From the very beginning, I was completely invested in the story. The suspense kept me turning pages. I had to know what would happen next.
The romance was so beautiful. The love triangle ascept of this story was so well done. We were able to experience multiple POVs and timelines. This kept the story moving and gave such a clear perspectives from our characters.
Synopsis: The story follows Ivy and her young daughter, as they have to navigate a dangerous situation. To ensure their safety, a fighter pilot named Dalton, becomes her protector. As the story unfolds old wounds, simmering tension, and a deadly threat all collide.
I especially appreciated the military aspects of the story and the respect shown for those who serve. It was a great reminder of the sacrifices our military members make.
If you enjoy a mix of suspense, healing, romance, and action, I highly recommend Ghost. Brielle Scott is definitely an author I will keep going back to!
If I’m not crying, am I even reading a Brilee Scott book? She has a way of writing beautifully heartbreaking stories, and Ghost was no exception.
This story packed trauma, healing, love, danger, friendship, and rediscovering yourself into one emotional ride. I was completely torn on Ivy, Dalton, and Kyler’s love triangle and genuinely had no idea how a choice could possibly be made. That’s all I can say there, you’ll just have to buckle up and experience the flight for yourself! ✈️
What I always love most about Brilee’s stories is how much depth she brings beyond the romance. The insight into military life and the immense hard work and sacrifice made by service members and their families adds a layer of realism and respect that makes the stories even more impactful.
Brilee Scott consistently writes books that wreck me in the best possible way, and Ghost absolutely delivered. I'll always pick up her books, and I cannot wait to see what she writes next.
Thank you to @BrileeScott and @Booksandbloompr for the opportunity to review this beautiful book
Brilee Scott’s writing was so beautiful. The way she wrote these characters was truly amazing. I can’t wait for the next book.
This story completely broke me. Talk about emotional damage. When I tell you I literally cried my eyes out because I felt these characters journeys with all my heart.
After one devastating traumatic event fractures Ivy’s and Kyler’s world, what unfolds is a deeply emotional journey through heartbreak, survival, healing, growth, and learning how to love again and letting go.
Kyler and Dalton? Omg!!! I absolutely fell in love with them. Both are strong, protective man who love Ivy with all they have and would do absolutely anything for her. They are both different in their own way.
This book touched my heart in a way I wasn’t expecting. It was heartbreaking, hopeful, beautiful and emotional from beginning to end. It reminded me that even after the worst moments, healing is possible and love can take many different forms.
I've been desperately waiting to get my hands on Ghost (not literally but maybe I wouldn't mind that too 😏) since I finished reading Viking and OH MY was it worth the wait!
Brilee is honestly a genius. She knows exactly how to leave me perfectly conflicted. She knows how to break my heart (and put it back together!). She knows how to write something that feels real and unforced and bold and beautiful.
There is so much sadness in Ivy's story, but also so much lightness and hope too. The friendships, her daughter, and two strong protective men who would burn down the world for her.
The differences between Kyler and Dalton are so wonderfully and subtly done - both unique, but not opposites ... you can see so clearly how their backgrounds led each of them to where they are now.
To say I'm desperate for the next book (again!) would be an understatement. I need my man to get his happy ending 🖤
This book was such a unique and genuinely lovely reading experience. I absolutely loved that the military-grade action wasn't watered down. It felt authentic, high stakes, and added so much depth to the story. We follow Ivy as she navigates an unexpected new love interest with Dalton who just so happens to be a fighter pilot working alongside her special-ops ex-husband Kyler. I really admired Ivy and loved watching her balance motherhood, a new romance, and the lingering trauma that's held her captive far longer than the six days she spent in captivity. The tensions escalated with every interaction between Dalton and Kyler, forcing Ivy to confront her past while deciding what she wanted for her future. As if that wasn’t enough, everything skyrocketed once an information leak fell into the hands of a mysterious terrorist organization responsible for Ivy’s kidnapping. Overall, I enjoyed the action packed romance elements of this book!
Oh how I loved this book! This is the second book in the Silent Pursuit series. I recommend you to read the first book (Viking) to avoid spoilers.
A military romance following a fighter pilot MMC Dalton and a traumatised ballerina FMC Ivy. A story of forced proximity, protectiveness, and the need to open up for healing and new love. It’s beautiful to also se Kylers POV, it brings an extra layer to all of the emotions. We also get found family or maybe more found home. It’s lovely to spend time with the characters of Viking, seeing Lila, Alinna, Logan, Saint and Nick again. This books shifts through time, sometime it’s flashbacks and sometimes it’s present time. I absolutely loved this! Military romances will be one of my favourite sub genres. Thank you Brilee for letting me read the ARC of this book! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,4/5
Review of an advanced reader copy from the author:
I don’t think I’ve ever read a love triangle so well done in my life. Usually love triangles leave you hating one person, but the story of Ivy, Dalton and Kyler had you truly rooting for all three of them. This book was perfect from start to finish. There was tension, heartbreak, yearning, love, family. I loved every second of it. I love these characters. Brilee Scott is a fantastic writer (and has me watching videos of f-22 raptors on YouTube in between chapters.) I can’t wait to continue this series!
The character development, the dynamics and relationships between characters and the amount of suspense and action in this book are perfection! The way Brilee Scott handles the duel timelines by unraveling the past and building the present day was beautiful. She so carefully shows how Ivy, Dalton and Kyler’s past has affected the characters’ current lives.
This book was an emotional ride in the best way and leaves me wanting to read more from her! An absolute dream read! If you’re a fan of the Ravenhood series, you’ll love this one too!
Loving the pov from the different characters namely Ivy, Dalton and Kyler so we can read about their thoughts and what they're feeling at the moment and also the insight into the past and what Ivy went through.
Also love how protective Dalton was of Ivy from the beginning, comforting her whenever she had an episode and just being there for her. Love the romantic tension between them and their little stolen moments which made my heart full.
Honestly loving the plot, the epilogue and can't wait for Book 3 Cipher to be out.
I received an ARC of Ghost and leave this review voluntarily.
Ghost is a great love triangle (each with their own POV) second-chance, friends-to-lovers romance that involve special ops romance that has a satisfying ending. It does a great job at depicting the complicated journey of trauma recovery in two different ways. It was incredibly interesting and despite it being on the longer side for a romance, I could not put it down and read it in a day. I cannot wait for the next standalone in the series!
I knew I’d love this after recently reading Viking- book 1 in the series. Her writing keeps you locked in! High stakes military romance suspense with the perfect amount of tension and slow burn!

Such a good read..Ty to books and bloom and the author for allowing me to arc read this emotional military romance .. I cannot wait for the next one !!! Cipher needs a HEA!!!
I love how well balanced the romance and military aspects of this book were. The dual timeline was perfectly done, and the character development was perfection. Brilee did such a great job folding Dalton, Ivy and Hadley into a new family unit, while still keeping the relationship with Kyler for Hadley’s sake. I absolutely can’t wait to read more of this series!
I adored Ghost by Brilee Scott. From the first page to the end. If you like books that are a mix of suspense, healing, romance, and action, I highly recommend this book for you. I truly appreciated the military aspects of the story and the respect shown for those who serve. The way Brilee writes is incredible, the words, the emotion , you feel it with every character. I can't wait to see what we have in store for the next book in this series because I already know that it will be AMAZING!
Brilee absolutely breaks your heart and then slowly puts it back together. I was fully invested and wanted both Dalton and Kyler to have their happy ending. Each character had my heart. The saddest and most heartbreaking thing of all is that sometimes love just isn’t enough to make it work in a story or real life. There isn’t a secret on who is together in the end since the information for the next book is already out there but learning about these characters how they get to where they are the struggles they endure and the love and friendships will keep you invested till the end to get to the happiness that Ivy finally has.
I just know that Brilee will make the next book another roller coaster for my heart but I can’t wait for his happy ending too. Reading a Brilee book is a complete experience each time. Easily my favorite military romance author.
