This book was just what I needed to understand that while I am grieving the loss of my Mom, who was my best friend, that I need to remember the good times and the love we had in our relationship. The author is very honest with her feelings through out the book and discusses the heartache of loss and grief that she experienced during her life but she also talks about the love that she found through her grief. She also discusses how different cultures grieve, which I found very eye opening. The main point I took away from this book was the concept that people try to "fix" your grief but grief isn't something that is broken and needs fixing. It needs acceptance.
