PINKY

I blew up my life like it was a lab experiment gone wrong.
Broke off my engagement. Dropped out of med school. Moved back home.
Now I’m planning my twin’s wedding while being smothered by five overprotective older brothers—
and the only thing keeping me sane?
The other maid of honor—Sarangi Rao—beautiful, sexy, intimidatingly accomplished. A total ice queen.

When we agree to fake-date through the wedding madness to get everyone off our backs, it feels like I can finally breathe again. Between choreographing first dances and coordinating floral crises,
we become partners—in planning, in dancing & in bed.

Soon, my fake feelings turn very real and this time, it won’t just be my future I lose—but my heart.

SARANGI

Fake-dating Priyanka Thomas is the last thing I need.

She's chaos in a crop top—messy, magnetic, and entirely too tempting. But saying yes buys me freedom from the pressure cooker of family expectations. And it’s just for a few months, right?
But then, she moves into my house, gets under my skin. And makes me believe in love all over again.

What if Pinky only wants me for a fake, fun fling… while I’m falling in love for real?

Tara Pammi

Tara Pammi can't remember a moment when she wasn't lost in a book, especially a romance which, for a teenager, was much more exciting than mathematics textbook. Before long, she was hiding romance novels within bigger textbooks, smuggling them into the home through her unsuspecting younger cousin’s school bag, and cycling more than a few miles to her favorite library to borrow more.

Through numerous ‘true’ loves :-) and traveling thousands of miles from family and friends, her attachment to books and especially romance novels stayed constant.

One fine day, toiling away as a grad student in a basement lab, Tara started typing the beginning of a story instead of her thesis. But it wasn’t until years later, encouraged by her real life hero, Tara realized what she truly wanted to do was to write.

Tara lives in Texas with her real life hero and her two little girls. When she isn't writing or reading, Tara can be found failing in the kitchen, watching TV or making resolutions to exercise more, or even a little.

✔Sapphic Book Bingo Challenge 2026 🌈✨: Hidden Gems Board - Both MCs Are Bi or Pan

5 stars. Sarangi never came off as an Ice Queen to me but I love her anyway. She’s hot and she has a filthy mouth. *swoon* And then there’s Priyanka. My hot mess baby Priyanka. I adore that woman to pieces. I adore both of them honestly.

Priyanka and Sara decide to fake date to get Priyanka’s family off of her back. I LOVED this book so much. Fake dating is one of my favorite tropes and I really like how it was done here mixed in with it being an age gap as Priyanka is younger than Sara. It’s deeply romantic and I was addicted from the first page. Both characters are so charming and likable and their chemistry is delicious. It’s sexy as hell but so tender. Priyanka is feeling a bit lost in life and overwhelmed and I just loved how supportive, loving, and patient Sara was with her. I also appreciate that there is no third act break up! They communicate like adults. There’s some great growth and conversations that happen with them when feelings start to get real.

There’s also a really satisfying arc with both of their families. I love family drama and I really liked how Pammi handled it because both women's families are super dysfunctional but mean well.

The spice was off the chart. Once the two of them hook up things gets steamy often and it was everything.

Adored everything about this book and it’s one that I will for sure be going back to and reading again. Loved it!

”Every time she’s out of my sight, every time I wake up without her warm body next to mine, every time I walk into my empty home knowing that she’s working late, it feels like I should be buzzing away on my way to her. Everything feels colorless and empty without her.”

🥹UGH! My heart!

10 Things I Love About Her by Tara Pammi is a sapphic romance about two very different women who fake date around a family wedding and end up catching real feelings.

This book was soooo sweet and swoony and also super cozy! It had a nice amount of spice, too! I loooved Sara and Pinky together! They're so different but fit each other so perfectly and their attraction felt so real and warm. What completely surprised me was how much I loved the family and sibling relationships in this book. I cried multiple times over the sibling dynamics (especially Pinky and her brothers!!!). The fake dating was fun and easy to forget because their relationship felt so genuine and while the age gap took my brain a little time to get used to, I thought it was handled so thoughtfully and respectfully (I've barely read any age gap romance! I'm new to the trope!). I also really loved learning a little bit about the culture and loved that it was woven throughout the story. The writing was smooth, emotional, engaging and never boring (and I loved the epilogue!!!). This story left me feeling soooo happy for these characters and I already know I'm going to miss Sara and Pinky so much!!!

4.5 ⭐s rounded up

This book was an absolute delight! I love a good fake dating trope and this was so well done! The chemistry between Sara and Priyanka was amazing. I loved the way they could see each other so clearly.

I was also really impressed with how complex and real both the FMCs and their respective siblings felt.

I will definitely be revisiting this as a new comfort read.

I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a fun, heartfelt sapphic romance.

Thanks to Epica PR and the author for the ARC!

Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

First things first, when the author said, “dysfunctional families” ... she definitely meant it!!! Because you got me all the way messed up with the fact that Sarangi(Sara)’s sister being married to her ex-husband (we learn this pretty early on, so imo, this isn’t a spoiler). I found myself getting so mad on her behalf with how her mom and middle sister treat her. I’m glad that she has Ali, her baby sister that is 15 years younger than her. Priyanka, or Pinky as most people call her, also has a dysfunctional family, but I feel as if her family’s dysfunction is more out of love, instead of the judgment I feel from Sarangi’s

The author describes the book as a ‘slow burn to spice’. I am not sure if that is different from just a ‘slow burn’, but I don’t feel like it is a slow burn. The MCs hook up before the 50% mark. There’s nothing bad about this, just an observation/opinion of mine on the label of ‘slow burn’.

While I’m not the biggest fan of the age gap when it comes to how old Priyanka is (Sachin said she was 14 years younger than him and he said he was turning 38 next year). I don’t mind a 14 year age gap, 15 is usually the limit that I am comfortable with, but that’s always if the youngest is over 25. I’m 30 and I don’t know if I would even date a 23 year old. But other than that hang up, the age gap didn’t bother me. I think the author does a great job addressing it and portraying realistically how people like their families would react. I just wish Pinky was a little bit older.

I loved them together. They complemented each other so well. I loved how they were able to be there for each other in ways that they didn’t realize they needed or could be. I think it was adorable that everyone calls Priyanka, Pinky, but Sara calls her by her real name. I’m not sure why, but it was special.

I loved that there was an epilogue. I do think what happened in the epilogue was a little premature but that’s just my opinion. I think it was important that the author addressed a concern that Priyanka had about their future. I won’t go into details due to spoilers, but I’m glad it wasn’t swept under the rug. The epilogue was 9 months in the future and I wouldn’t have minded to be able to see a glimpse a little further into their future as a real couple.

I flew through this book because I couldn’t put it down, This is the first book I’ve read from Tara Pammi, but it won’t be the last. While I don’t read straight romances, she has another sapphic romance that I can’t wait to get my hands on.

I’d really enjoyed reading this book! “Ten Things I Love About Her” is a romance with solid character development where both halves of the couple become better together, and love and accept each other for who they truly are.

Age-Gap Romance isn’t usually my thing, but I love the dynamic between Sara and Pinky! They’re both strong women who lift each other up and manage to communicate well (for the most part). I was surprised by the maturity in their relationship (partially because I’m around Pinky's age). But I’m not complaining; it is quite refreshing to read. Sara and Pinky's relationship feels real and compelling.

“Ten Things I Love About Her” also has the best sex scenes I’ve ever read in a romance book. I liked that they were not too tame. Every scene expressed Sara and Pinky’s shameless lust and love for each other. It's very hot.

I also liked the exploration of the dysfunctional family dynamics. It’s cool how Sara and Pinky’s relationships with their families evolve too throughout the book and also play a significant role in their respective character arcs.

To be honest, I found “Ten Things I Love About Her” a little too fast to be labelled as “Slow Burn to Spice” because the main ladies start hooking up halfway through. However, it’s not necessarily a bad thing. I also wish this book was a little longer so the family dynamics could have been explored a little further.

Nevertheless, I’m still satisfied with “Ten Things I Love About Her” overall, and am grateful to have received an ARC. This book will be published very soon so make sure to check it out!

Rating: 4.5/5 — Sapphic Swoon-O-Meter

Quick Summary

This WLW rom-com is a soft, tender unraveling of two women who seem like opposites but fall for each other in the sweetest, funniest ways. It balances humor and emotional depth, and the character growth is the highlight.

What I Loved

1. The chemistry.
These two? Immediate spark. The kind of banter that feels natural and lived-in, not manufactured.

2. The emotional undercurrent.
Beneath the meet-cute vibes is a real exploration of identity, belonging, and being seen for who you really are.

3. The WLW representation.
Soft, joyful, awkward, horny, tender—love between women that feels real and multidimensional.

4. The pacing.
Fast enough to keep you hooked, slow enough to build a believable relationship.

5. The MMFH (Main Mom Friend Heroine).
One of the MCs gives off rich “take care of you, not control you” energy. Yes, please.

Spice Level

Open-door but tastefully done. Sensual, not gratuitous. Enough tension and payoff to keep a sapphic reader grinning.

Cultural/Social Notes
• The book subtly comments on autonomy and the pressure women feel to shrink themselves.
• There’s a thread about reclaiming softness after years of survival mode—that made me think.

Overall

A feel-good, slow-burn sapphic romance with heart, laughs, and emotional teeth. Perfect for fans of cozy queer love stories with just enough spice.

Pinky and Sara have known each other for years. Sara’s best friend is Pinky’s oldest brother and Pinky’s best friend is Sara’s younger sister. They both have gone through major life changes in the last year and are trying to figure out who they are now. Planning Pinky’s best friend’s wedding brings the two of them together, but neither of them know what is fake and what is real. They both have to decide how far they are willing to go to find happiness.

I want to thank the author for giving me the opportunity to read an ARC copy of this book. I really enjoyed it and was immediately sucked into the world of Pinky and Sara. I felt their emotions along with them and found myself smiling often while reading. I will definitely be going back to read the first book in this series and will be keeping my eye out for any following books

ARC REVIEW- This is how you do fake dating. There was chemistry between the two from the very beginning, before fake dating even came into play! And the reveal to their families that they were fake dating??? PERFECT!!! This was one of the best fake dating romances I’ve ever read! To add to the amazing chemistry we had some family drama that has you pulled in and intrigued IMMEDIATELY! Aside from the drama being juicy and intriguing, I was also very happy that the turmoil within the families was addressed and handled well! I am so glad that the issues weren’t swept under the rug to be dealt with in later generations! This was truly a great story!

Ten Things I Love About Her is a tender, emotionally rich romance that focuses on connection, vulnerability, and quiet healing. Tara Pammi writes relationships that feel real—built on trust, shared moments, and honest emotions rather than dramatic twists.

What I loved most was the emotional maturity of the story. The romance unfolds naturally, allowing both characters space to confront past wounds and grow together. It’s gentle, heartfelt, and deeply comforting, with moments that linger long after the last page.

A beautifully written love story for readers who appreciate character-driven romance with emotional depth.

This book was really nice and fun to read. I don’t read many sapphic books with desi vibes, so this one felt very refreshing for me. The fake dating part was done well and I also liked the age gap between the characters

The characters felt real and easy to like. Their chemistry was good and when the romance started it got spicy in a very nice way 😅 but also sweet at the same time. I liked that they talked to each other instead of unnecessary drama

The family parts felt relatable and emotional, a little messy but with good intentions. Overall I enjoyed this book a lot and would recommend it if you like sapphic romance, fake dating, and desi stories

Thank you Tara Pammi and Epica Book PR for the arc. I signed up for the arc as soon as I saw the cute cover.

This book had many of my favourite tropes so I had a lot of fun reading. It's really hard to find Sapphic Books with desi vibes and 10 Things I Love About Her totally delivered that.

It was a great read with spice that made me blush in a good way. Highly recommend it if you like Sapphic romances with fake dating, age gap, and desi dysfunctional families.

Fake dating and face sitting. **Start humming these are a few of my favorite things.**

This is an absolutely delightful sapphic romance with quite a bit of heat. Sara and Pinky are so sweet together and I was rooting for them the entire book. I also really liked how their separate family relationships healed and developed as they each became more confident in expressing their needs and boundaries.

** I received an eARC but am voluntarily leaving an honest review.**
