Narak Gulzaar was one of commercially most successful theatre productions written by Manoj Mitra. And Chak Bhanga Modhu was probably his first popular success. These 2 and Sajano Bagan (Banchharamer Bagan) are considered the most successful theatre productions from the playwright Manoj Mitra. Narak Gulzar is included in vol 3 of the playwright's Natak Samagra and Chak Bhanga Modhu is in vol 1.
I'm reading the Natak Samagra, but Goodreads does offer only vol 1. Adding a book here is so much hassle that I have stopped trying to add anything. Most of the time I'm reading books in Hindi or Bengali which aren't supported here.
I think I should have quit after Amazon took over. It wasn't that bad earlier.
BTW, this is my shortcut way to let my friends know a part of what I'm reading etc.
As far as the plays are concerned, both these plays are great to watch on stage and also to read (I'm lucky enough to have that privilege, only. I saw them ages ago and reading only now) though they are poles apart. If you do not know beforehand that they are written by the same playwright, you won't believe it.
