Blind Devotion

Rate this book
Grief changed her. The streets are about to test her.

In New Orleans, loyalty is everything, and Deja has lost too much to trust easily. While she’s still mourning the life she once had, the city keeps pulling her back into chaos, secrets, and unfinished business. Friends aren’t always what they seem, enemies move closer than expected, and betrayal lurks where love once lived.

With danger circling and emotions running high, Deja must survive a world that refuses to let her heal in peace. Because in these streets, grief isn’t weakness. It’s fuel.

Raw. Dramatic. Unforgiving.

This is urban fiction where love is complicated, loyalty is tested, and every move comes with a price.

wowwww

Book two owes me nothing, i literally flew through the pages. The drama, secrets, suspense, relationships were all tense and kept me engaged. I am sorry, I struggled seeing Deja as a wife in this one because of her actions - she was moving so reckless. Zay doesn’t get a pass either because he did something so despicable, I couldn’t believe my eyes. However, I do believe they love each other but they did not have the best example of true love in their parents and it was so evident. Speaking of parents, Zay’s parents had me so heated!! Like I don’t understand the logic. 😫I wanted to give this one 5 stars because I was thoroughly entertained but there were a few things that were rushed and I was having a hard time understanding. But definitely give this one a shot, I enjoyed it. And that bonus scene has me so eager for book 3!

This book was such a good read. Deja really took me through it this time. Grief changed her for sure, and the streets wasted no time testing her. New Orleans felt intense, messy, and full of secrets, just like her life right now.
Now listen… yes, a lot of this was her fault. I really need Deja to get it together because I cannot do another book full of her men antics. But the message hit hard, blood doesn’t always mean family, and loyalty isn’t guaranteed.
That sneak peek for book 3 though?! I was already invested, but that ending had me picking my jaw up off the floor. I’m locked in and ready for whatever comes next or so I hope…

ARC REVIEW

4.5 ⭐️

This one had me so stressed! Deja and her man’s antics were A LOT. I was happy it slowed down and secrets were revealed, but goodness gracious. A. Denise did such a great job unfolding the secrets and keeping us interested. That bonus scene had my jaw on the floor. I cannot wait for book 3 to drop! I’m excited to see what’s next, but also sad knowing it’s just one more book. I love this crew so much!!

what a ride!

Book 2 did not disappoint! This was definitely a page turner. Zay was real tender for Deja the way he let her get away with things. I am proud of her for admitting her wrongs but geesh. I understood why Zay was stressed behind her because of you make her mad she just might hop onto the next man. I’m excited about book 3!

Deja Girlllllll!

Oh my God oh my God I knew it I knew it!Deja girl what are you doing baby? When Xavier went to play that video I was like it’s over he already told you. he tells you exactly what he’s going to do and he does it so I don’t know why she thought this would be any different. book 2 I just wanted Deja to get it together like Momma figure out what you wanna do because he doesn’t play at all, but that cliffhanger of an ending I’m ready for a book 3 stat

The stress that Deja had me under in the beginning of this book is insane! There were so many twists and turns that I was not expecting, but the main thing I can say is that I was thoroughly entertained. Zay was absolutely my favorite character, although there were a few moments in the series that i was mad at him, overall he stood on business and was top dog like he said! There were moments when i was screaming at the pages like “Deja dont pmo” and then there were moments I was smiling away. I really love this friend/family and cant wait to read more, cause my boy Zay say he always got a plug for his plans

Lawwwddd!!! Zay, Deja & Jayla took me thruuuuuu it!!

Deja really tap danced on my lastttttt & I do mean LAST nerve from beginning to end!!! She caused soooo much drama cause she couldn’t keep still!! I mean it was just ridiculous, it really gets to a point!! So many incidents could’ve been avoided if she just sat her behind down somewhere!! Her & Watts throughly pissed me off!! He was mad disrespectful & she allowed it by continuing to feed into his advances! She truly doesn’t know when enough is enough! She stressed me outttt!!

Zay was Zay! But I must say he really was tryna do right by his wife for the most part. He seems so much more serious about his marriage than Deja was! BUT he fasho stood on his word when it came to Deja & Troy. That man said what he said & he stood on business. What happened was so foul & intentional that I wasn’t shocked he reacted the way that he did! It was a lil too intimate to say it was random & didn’t mean anything. That was a different type of betrayal!

Kayla truly shocked me in this book! She lucky Kai is down bad for her cuz she realllyyyyy tried that man! To say he really didn’t do anything wrong she took things entirely too far & didn’t know how or when to reel or back in! She pmo from beginning to end just like her sister!! 😒

Marco… shocked me to say the LEAST! I was literally blew away! That was an INSANE plot twist! Completely unexpected!

This is a really good series that will keep you on your toes!! The action is never ending & the plot twist just seems to get better & better! The end BLEW me!! I can’t wait to get into book 3!

goodness!!

When I say I’ve never experienced so much whiplash in my life until I’ve been a part of the ninth ward crew! This book had secrets, lies, betrayal, and then the dead rising! I am flabbergasted! Deja hurt my heart this entire book, she is such a liar!!! I started questioning myself lol a part of me wants Zay to leave her bc again, how much more can he take!! She is a man eater, overly friendly, selfish at times, and very much so hard to have empathy for when her lies and deceit comes out bc some stuff, WHY ARE YOU EVEN DOING IT!! She truly had me disliking her character this entire book! I believe she is going to drag me in the next book so bad LOL.

So Good!

Book 2 was just as amazing! There was so much action taking place in this book. Zay was getting it back in blood for sure. That relationship is so rocky I was aggravated that they kept tryna make it work. Deja pissed me off so bad how she was moving in this book. I’m glad this book did not end on a cliff hanger but definitely looking forward to getting into the next book!

Good book

I really enjoyed reading this. Half way through the book Deja had me pissed of and so did Lala. I feel like Kairo and Zay were way to loyal after the things their wives did behind there back. I’ll never forgive Deja for Troy just plain disturbing I don’t know how Zay could trust her again way to devoted for me. Loved following this story
