Davis Mason grew up dirt-floor poor in the rolling hills of rural Kentucky, escaping that life only to find himself adrift on the hard streets of Chicago in his teens. Determined to never again feel the sting of poverty and hunger, he is willing to do whatever is necessary to ensure he has enough power and money to make that happen.

Introduced to what seemed a perfect brotherhood within a motorcycle club, Mason is shaped and honed into a deadly weapon by their sadistic president. As he slowly works his way up the ranks to gain control of the club, he’s resolved to make it better…stronger, able to withstand any challenge.

Betrayed by his bloodline, he cuts all ties with family and begins the process of building a new one. Rising like a phoenix from the ashes of the club he destroyed, he founds the Rebel Wayfarers MC and surrounds himself with loyal, trustworthy brothers. Mason throws himself headlong into the hard job of making certain his brothers have everything needed for themselves and their families, and he works to balance those needs within both the well-mannered citizen world of business, and with the anything-goes biker world of the MC.

Flirting with happiness time and again, just when Mason believes it’s finally within his grasp, he’s torn between what he wants…and what he knows he should do. He finally has the security and family he’s always wanted, but will Mason ever find the love and passion he craves?

“When a man is denied the right to live the life he believes in, he has no choice but to become an outlaw.” – Nelsen Mandela

*Please note this book is part of the Rebel Wayfarers MC book series, featuring characters from additional books in the series. If the books are read out of order, you’ll twig to spoilers for the other books, so going back to read the skipped titles won’t have the same angsty reveals. I strongly recommend you read them in order. Available Mica (book #1), Slate (book #2), Bear (book #3), Jase (book #4), Gunny (book #5). Upcoming titles in the series Mason (book #6), Hoss (book #7), Duck (book #8), Watcher (book #9), and Bones (book #10).

It took me until this book (#6 in the series) to really 'grasp' what this whole MC group is about. I didn't 'get it' in books 1 and 2. I only glimpsed what this would become in books 3 and 4. Now with Mason's book; I GET IT! I'll bet I've read hundreds of MC series in the past few years.

At this point; I'd say I'm overwhelmed with the 'weight' of MariaLisa deMora's writing. Her characters are flawless in their imperfections. Every single character has just that: 'character'. Each stays true to their given 'character'. From book 1 I felt like a fly on the wall and that I was witnessing the reality of MC life in all the struggles, pain, heartache, weakness and glory that only the human condition can create and expose. Throughout the series what unfolds is an MC family that is truly bonded into brotherhood. They revere their president (Mason). He's earned that status which this book 6 is testament to. He is also the 'glue' that brings every member of the MC and this series together.

I almost gave up at book 1 because I didn't 'get it'. I'm so thankful I persevered through book 2 and even then I almost gave up after that book was read. I now feel the need to go back and reread every single book to Mason's book because I know in doing so I'll appreciate MORE what every single character went through for their MC family. I wondered if the books were out of order but really; I don't know how else this whole series could be told. In order to have the impact it now has on my reader's soul; the order is perfection as I know it to be.

So; back to book 1 for me because this is certainly an MC series not to be missed and one to certainly savor. MariaLisa deMora is a fine writer and one of the BEST storytellers this reader has encountered.

Review for Mason (Rebel Wayfarers MC #6) by MariaLisa deMora

Mason is the sixth book in the Rebel Wayfarers MC series by MariaLisa deMora, and has been anticipated since book one. I think we’ve all craved Mason’s story after meeting him in Mica. Then with every book since we have seen pieces and parts of the man who created the Rebel Wayfarers MC, but it wasn’t enough — never enough Mason.

So, now we have him in all his glory. And it is glorious!

I love Mason. He’s such a great character and finding out what really makes the man tick just made me love him more. This book absolutely proves what I’ve been saying since Mica, deMora’s books give you the sense that her characters are the MC lifestyle. And Mason is the epitome of the lifestyle.

Anyone that has read the first five books in the series has a pretty good grasp on who Mason is; not just the President of the MC, but the rock to his brothers and friends. When you read this book you will grow to understand the man and how his life brought him to where he is today. Everything from the way he grew up to the way he met each of his brothers and how he pulls the good from everyone he meets, it all makes you wish he were a real man so he could pull you into the fold too. I have big respect for the character and the author that created him. I’m actually pretty jealous that deMora gets to walk around with him in her head all day.

I know I haven’t really told you much about the book itself, mostly about the character, but the book is Mason and I couldn’t think of a better way to explain why this is a book you have to read. Five Rebel Stars and Five Soaked Panties for the president of the Rebel Wayfarers MC.

Rebels for life.

I have been anticipating Masons book since I first read Mica. After listening to his playlist on YouTube (look it up ad give it a listen) it solidified that.

For as strong as Mason is, he really has a fragile part to him. A haunted part. Hes a character that craves love. NEEDS love. Deserves his Always. Both to give and receive. The story starts where Davis disappears and Mason emerges. It takes you on a tour of what made him who he is. The perfectly imperfect wayfaring stranger.

I'm not going to go into detail about what happens or give a run down of the book b/c that would do an injustice to the readers, but I will leave you with this:

Questions WILL be answered and broken links will be fixed. Fates will be crossed (which is also a dynamic that I LOVE in this series). Characters that you may have not really liked in the past may (or may not) find redemption in your eyes.

The anticipation for this book is well worth it. You wont be disappointed, but if you are, that's OK too. A character like Mason weaves his own life's story.

Breathe easy, Marialisa. You did right by our Mason.

It's recommended that you read the previous books in order before reading this one otherwise there could be spoilers in this book if you go back and read previous books after reading this one.

This is Masons story. Mason is the president of the Rebel Wayfarers MC. Now we get to read about the strong force behind the club. In the previous books we see the other members meet their partners. Now it's Masons chance to find happiness and that's with Willa. As I kept reading I liked their relationship even more. We see the other side to Mason when he's with Willa.

Great read. Looking forward to reading more of this series.

I just finished Mason and I just loved it. I'm going to admit this is the one I had been waiting for and trust me it didn't disappoint. This is apart of the Rebel Wayfarers series so for me to get the full effect of the whole brotherhood you need to read in order. Mica (Daniel), Slate(Ruby), Bear(Eddie), Jase(DeeDee), and then Gunny(Sharon).

Mason is the president of the Rebel Wayfarers MC so in reading Mason, it starts from the beginning where he started, what he went through and then it brings up fill circle but it will be in his point of view. What I loved most is how it brought things into the story that happened from the previous books but with it being in his perspective, it just gave a little umph to it for me. Authors tend to really overlap things when you have a series like that and can confuse the hell out of me but not with MariaLisa. She does it in a way that makes it refreshing and new like, and that to me it what makes this series and her distinctive.

I'm a biker girl, that is my go to genre. I mean who doesn't love a motorcycle riding, dirty talkin biker, so once I got the story in my greedy little hands, I gobbled it up quickly. The story had me from the get go. MariaLisa has a way with her words that just puts you into the story. The characters are so well rounded and have so much depth. I loved hearing their voices, and their vulnerability made them that more real to me. Everything that happens, you cannot help but feel connected to them. You will fall for them just as quickly as I did and will want everything to work out for them.

Now, I am at a loss. I feel bereft now since finishing that I want the next one (which is HOSS!!) like yesterday. One thing that is for certain is that whatever MariaLisa writes, it's sure to be a page turner for me and that I will want more of.

This is a re read and all stays the same. Mason my fav character from the start and still is. Loved it!!! I was so looking forward to finally reading more about Mason and MariaLisa deMora did not disappoint. I'm not sure if I've mentioned it before but she has a knack for creating great characters and gives all the details necessary to really know them and invest in them while reading. I'm a details person when reading. Reading is an escape for me so getting invested is ideal. Mason has been my favorite character from book 1 and it hasn't changed, although along the way I've grown to love many more. Learning about Mason's past - childhood and how he became what he is today was very interesting. It's not hard to understand why he is the way he is today after all the things he's done and decisions he's had to make. I loved Willa when we were introduced to her in Bear's book. She's quirky, goofy, smart. She's perfect for Mason and I'm so happy that he finally found his forever. Mica wasn't right for him. Lot's of drama and heartache in this one. So much more to come - especially with that asshat Deacon. I've always loved Bones but grew to love him even more in this one can't wait to read his story.

I have loved this entire series. The characters are real to me. They have real issues, real lives, real heartbreak, real terror. MariaLisa doesn't provide an easy read. She grabs you way down deep in your gut and rips you to shreds and leaves you begging for more.

I know this series will end, and lives go on, but I don't want it to stop!

FINALLY we get Mason's story!
What a story this is!! In the we go back even further than book 1, Mica, and find out EVERYTHING about the man who is the driving force of the Rebel Wayfarers, Mason Davis.
One of the things I absolutely loved is how we get to go through all of the previous books through Mason's eyes, but it's done in such a way that those books aren't completely repeated, instead the key moments are given to us and then we go behind the scenes and see how those moments affected the apparently unrockable Mason. It was great to see his more vulnerable, not so self assured side, showing that he is capable of feeling emotion, that even the toughest of decisions does affect him even when he doesn't seem to show it. This story really was needed and I seriously can not praise the author enough!
Absolutely loved it and can't wait to read the rest of this fantastic series!!

Yes Mason's story is very involved but also very interesting. I'm happy that he eventually was able to be happy but also worried he will continue to claim responsibility to those around him he loves. I love Mica's explanation the most: just because you share blood with evilness doesn't mean you are evil nor are you responsible for their actions. That's all on them. Surround yourself with good, & good intentions, and hope for the best. Live in the moment. I'm also worried that the connection to him isn't over by a long shot.

OMG!!! I was so excited for this book! I was chomping at the bit to read it. I am a very huge fan of this author and this series! She has a way of writing a story that stays with you forever. Her writing style is incredible. Each book has started from the beginning of that character and progressed through their start in the MC and then through their relationship with their women. She gives so much detail on each character that I always feel like I know them personally. I knew this story would be a jewel among the rocks. Mason has had a major presence in every book so far. I know that most MC books talk about the “brotherhood” of the club. And most of them touch on that. However, with this series you can actually feel it. These men are as close as brothers can be without being blood related. Their bond is unbreakable. It has been tested and tried and has always come out on the other side. I was so happy that she wrote this story the way she did. We get to see Mason’s relationship will all the major characters so far from his side of the story. Mason is very protective of those he cares about. Those relationships affect every decision he makes. He is not one to only look out for himself. Most of the time he has put himself last behind all of his brothers. He has a driving need to make sure everyone is protected and provided for. In this story we have not one but two relationships developing. We have the relationship between Mason and his son, Chase. That part of the story had me screaming at certain characters. It also left me with a full heart at the way it turned out. We also have his developing relationship with Willa. Willa is a funny, outgoing woman. She rarely meets a stranger. She is not really the type I saw Mason falling for. However, my mind was changed after reading this story. There couldn’t have been a better character for him. They balanced each other out perfectly. They have a chemistry that was panty melting. Especially when he “found the soft for her”. Talk about get hot and bothered. Willa goes through something terrible and it changes her. Mason makes it his mission to bring her back to herself. This book encompasses the full emotional spectrum. Love and hate, life and death, tears and laughter. I cried several times throughout this story. I feel it was in part because of how well the story was written, but also because I am so invested in these characters. I am now not so patiently waiting for the release of Hoss and Duck! With the way this family grows I can see quite a few releases after those as well!

Oh, my sweet and sexy Mason! I love you more than I thought possible. It was such a pleasure to finally get a peak into your life and see how you became the man behind the Rebel Wayfarers. You were always such an honorable man and to see the lengths you went through to become that man only deepens my affection for you.

From the moment I fell in love with Mason, during Mica's story (Book 1), I craved to know more about Mason. Throughout the series, Mason has shown to be a man of integrity, compassion, passion and honor. He is a hardcore fighter and protector for the ones he loves, as well as a true leader and mentor to his MC brothers.

Through it all, he does it alone. While Slate, Bear, Jase, and Gunny have found their Old Ladies/other halves, sweet Mason has yet to find his "always". Until a passing meeting at an MC party when he's introduced to one woman that he can't get off his mind.

But Mason isn't just about a man finding his "always", it's about a man coming from nothing and building a life for himself, a brotherhood for others and becoming a man that many look up to. How better to understand a person than to walk in his shoes, right? That's exactly what MariaLisa deMora did with this story and has given her readers the same in every story of this series. It's not just about boy meets girl and live happily ever after when it comes to the Rebel Wayfarers MC series. No, each story encompasses a nearly complete life's journey within the pages of each book. Every time I delve into the next character's story, I feel like I've lived a complete life within 200-300 pages.

In my opinion, Mason is an enlightening story about an unforgettable character and the road he traveled to become iconic in this MC series. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book and learn Hoss' story.

WOW!!!! If I can give this book more than five stars, I absolutely would because it was that good! Ms. deMora did a fucking fabulous job writing Mason's book and I agree, he is the Prez so his book can come at the beginning, middle or end but I think MdM chose an excellent point in time during the series to give his story life!

First I love the time line of the story, we really get to know Davis Mason as a child, a teen, a young man and finally an adult! His family history being explained and finally cleared up between him, Shooter, Eddie, Judge, etc....thank goodness because that was one big ass family connection that had me confused as hell; as did that one chapter back in GUNNY'S book with the kidnapped women, which I now know one wasn't Eddie but Bethany! In any case it was all cleared up...Judge is a bastard...totally deserved to suffer more for what he did to poor Willa but at the end I'm glad he got what was coming to him since the beginning! He finally manned the fuck up!!!!

I'm loving the fact that Mason is FINALLY moving on from Mica! Yay!!!! I never thought Mica was the one for him, don't know what him or anyone think is so special about her but I'm glad his fascination with her is over! Willa...always liked her character. Smart, funny, quirky...she was a perfect fit for Mason because unlike Mica...Willa can and will be about the MC life with Mason. She'll take the good, bad, hard and soft...she'll take it all! Mason and Willa just fit in a way that him and Mica never did and never would have been able to.

There are a few things that left me bewildered,  Morgan's presence for example...I always assumed he was deceased, Deacon....Damn that Bastard should have been killed years ago. Now things are going down with other beloved characters...this series is getting real...I'm loving it more and more and am always thankful that I decided to push on from my dislike of Mica's book. Though I am happy for her and Daniel and their little bundle of joy....

*cue satisfied sigh* I can't even say how much I loved this book. I've been biting my nails to the stubs (figuratively of course) waiting on this book. Mason is my absolute favorite of the series and is about my favorite character.

There is so much that happened in this book and it answered so many of my questions. Mason's journey was a tough one filled with betrayal, lies and heartbreak. I loved learning the history of how the Rebel Wayfarers first started. I loved the respect other MC's had for Mason. I loved Mason's reaction to learning about Chase. I of course loved Merry telling the truth about Micah and praising Willa.

“She wasn’t right for you,” she repeated. Her hand continued its sweep, up and down. “Any woman oblivious enough to put you through hell for years, never knowing how you cared about her, would never be good enough...'

Seeing it from his side just made me mad all over again and solidified my decision to put down and not finish Micah. I just do not like her at all. Willa was such a better fit for him. Their romance was what made me not give this a complete 5 stars and not because I didn't like them, but because I'm greedy and needed more of their relationship.

I know not everything is wrapped up but I'm so happy that Mason finally got his family. I'm so excited for Hoss, Duck, Watcher and Bones' books. I know they will be just as great!

Simple Man by Lynyrd Skynyrd

"Oh, take your time, don't live too fast
Troubles will come and they will pass
You'll find a woman and you'll find love
And don't forget, son, there is someone up above"

Oh, be something you love and understand
Baby be a simple kind of man
Oh, won't you do this for me, son, if you can"

I was pulled right into this story. The story flowed well and I was kept interested. The story has laughs, pain, abuse, love, betrayal, and heartbreak.

If you have not read the below I would recommend reading those books(s) first
Mica (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #1)
Slate (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #2)
Bear (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #3)
Jase (Rebel Wayfarers MC, #4)
Gunny (Rebel Wayfarers MC #5)

This is Willa and Mason’s story. You get Mason’s story from the very beginning. You get to see his reactions to all the other couples stories. You get from his childhood up to present. You really get to understand all the betrayal he has had to deal with. Mason is a man with many different sides. You get to see his love, compassion, anger, rage, and love. Willa is a great match for Mason. I was so mad when I read Mica’s book and they didn’t end up together but you can feel the different in that relationship and his and Willa’s. As his former brothers and his family try and bring down Mason you see how far he is willing to go to save the ones he loves. You also see how far the men of the club are willing to go to protect and back Mason. The more he discovers from the people around him the closer he gets to who is behind all the betrayal. Will he be able to save not only Willa but also the others in his family and brotherhood?

I loved both of these characters. Mason is a great leader that takes the men from drifting to a deep brotherhood within the club. Willa is strong and sweet. As always you get a ton of the side characters in this story that takes you back to the very beginning of this series. But all in all I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.

I highly recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story in this series.

WOW I have been wanting Mason's book since I read Mica !! I mean he is such a strong presence in a lot of the books but he is my favorite and I just wanted to get his whole story. I think I struggle at the start of all these books with the way the author writes. I am such an alternating POV lover that anytime I read 1st , 3rd or anything but I have issues. There is also a ton going on in this book so you really need to pay attention to who is who and what is what. This is the same for all the books in this series and yes you should read them in order !!

I honestly always wanted Mica to choose Mason , I still did even re-reading some of their scenes in Mason's book. I know she really didn't deserve him but I just adored the way he cared for her so it was a weakness for me I guess !! I am happy that Mason has found his always but damn the journey was long , crazy and just WOW. I was on the edge of my seat A LOT !! Mason's story starts long before he became the PREZ and a Rebel. You will be amazed at the life he has lived and survived. This story is long and not always easy to read BUT you get to witness the coming together of so many , family reuniting , family meeting , lives being taken too soon and others being born into the craziness. Some parts are beautiful and some parts are horrifying. I don't want to spoil so just prepare for a long crazy ride and know there will be some peace and happiness for a little while at least !!

I look forward to see what comes next !!

Mason’s story is freakin fantastic. We get to see how he took over the Rebel Fiends and took it from a falling apart mess of a club to a multi-chapter MC to be proud of... the Rebel Wayfarers. So many influences over the years have made him into the man he is and it was interesting to see just who and what those influences were and how the men who aren’t of the RWMC fit into his world. Yes we get snippets of the previous books from Mason’s POV and they just added to the whole experience, bringing you more into this world MariaLisa deMora has created and I for one, loved it!

Drama, action, suspense and some literally, for me at least, nail biting moments and this is one of my favourites so far. I’m still a Slate & Bear girl but Mason has dug into his own little piece of my heart after this. 5 stars all the way and I’m looking forward to the next one, Hoss.

What a read! Excellent!

Davis Mason was born dirt poor and ran from his family. He finally ended up in Chicago dirty, hungary, and in need of a place to belong. This is where he finds the Rebel Fiends MC and embarks in a brotherhood like he has never known before. He showed his tenacity, brute force and grew into a man. His destiny had not been a road without problems, pain, and regret. Through bloodshed, having a level head, and making good friends, some more trustworthy than family, Mason grew into the leader and President of the Rebel Wayfarers. He thought this was enough. He didn't think he deserved more. Until the day he met Willa. Can he deserve that goodness?
Mason is the book I have most anticipated. All the backstory. MariaLisa deMora did not disappoint me. I enjoyed this book so much. This book holds all the answers to the secrets. It filled my need for the Rebel Wayfarers action and there is plenty. I will reread Mason many times. I recommend it to anyone. Great job.

I have been waiting impatiently for Mason own private and personal story, but this is just a rehashing of the stories I have already read. I believe that I could've missed reading the other books, save my money for this book and kept in touch with the past that happen. I know that sometimes authors tend to really overlap a series and can confuse the hell out of the readers. Mason character was written as one dimensional and uninteresting, not the true alpha I'm used to reading about.  I would have liked to have a book about Mason with information I didn't know and hot off the press information about his relationship with Willa even though I was wishing that MICA had pick him.  I knew that nothing was easy and he had a lot to go wrong in his life especially the dealings with his son. After skimming through this book, I think Mason deserved so much more because he is my favorite in this series beside Mica.....

I have been waiting impatiently for Mason and his story. I knew it would not be an easy life that Mason had and I was right. Mason has had everything go wrong for him. People he trusted turned their backs and this only added to the wall that Mason puts around his heart. Underneath all the gruff and MC toughness there is a good man and he goes out of his way to help those that matter to him. Willa is one of those persons that matter. Willa is my favorite type of heroine. She can be sweet but she is strong at the same time. She is the perfect match for Mason. This was one of my favorite stories in the series and yes, you need to read each one in order to understand who the players are. Mason and Willa had an undeniable chemistry and were a natural choice for each other. This book contained all the things I love in a good MC romance. There was laughter, drama and ultimately love. I loved this book and recommend it to everyone.

I loved reading about the enigma Mason. This man is hard but he does has soft side. The life he lives came at s price to him and it's time he got his finally. I loved this book and anticipated it's release from right after I read Mica.
I still love the Mica/Mason relationship it fits them perfectly and they will always I think "get" each other.
I love that Mason finally gets his love and the understanding and love of his son. I don't think he realized how important that was for him and his son to have a relationship.
Mason and Willa are perfect for each other. Where he has a hardness about him her softness brings out her softer side and shows him to be a human with feelings and needs just like anybody else.

I have to say this writer rocks she enjoys writing and you can feel it in the words she puts to print.

I waited for you, Davis Mason, since I first read Mica.
And since I read the 2nd, the 3rd and next books before his, I couldn't wait to get to know the man who started it all. The one, who let Mica choose another. The one who brought Slate, Bear, Gunny and other members of the Rebel Wayfarers MC together. The one who always stood his ground. Who always knew how to get through a crisis. Who would do absolutely everything for his family, his brothers.
I was quite scared that after such build up through all the previous books, I will be disappointed with Mason's story. That the picture of the Rebel Wayfarers' Prez I have painted in my head will be destroyed in some way. But I was oh-so wrong. It was everything I hoped for and more.
You finally found your sweet, my dear Mason. And I cannot wait to see more of you in future books.

Mason is the man whose story I most wanted to read. I wanted to know about his childhood, how he came to lead his brothers, and I so wanted him to find his happily ever after.

Mason was a leader from the beginning. He came from poor beginnings and found his way to a new family that enriched his life in so many ways. I loved how he took care of them all not just by leading, but also by loving them. He just has such an incredible heart. I so loved that he found his match in Willa. She is just perfect for him. My heart hurt for him when things didn't turn out with him and Mica, but then came Willa and I completely understood. I absolutely loved Mason's story and I can't wait to read more.

I give Mason 5 hearts!

God I love Mason. I knew he was going to be my fave but... man this book... I love that man! Also, this book made me realised I truly HATE Mica. She's a spoiled moronic bubble head idiot that doesn't deserve Daniel much less Mason! Ugh I hate her and I'm sooooooo freaking glad she's not his old lady. In other news... I love Willa ♡♡♡♡ She's amazing!!! I have no words how awesome she is and how much I adore her!!!

Now... does this author knows what a trigger warning is? Because man... this series has so many triggers is crazy and zero warnings!!! Seriously!!!

This is by far the best book from the series. I'm so glad it didn't disappointed me tho to be fair I wanted a bit more of his background.

This book was amazing. I loved every minute of it and it is one of my favorite books this year. I really liked how these characters were brought up and how they achieved their pasts. All the characters in this book were very colorful and likable through out. I really didn't care for Shooter he was a jerk I wanted to throw my kindle across the room once he entered the picture. I loved Mason he was a tough Sob he had it rough growing up and had to prove him self to the Wayfarers Fiends just to join. This book had a lot going on in it which was very entertaining and enjoyable.

This is a great series to read and enjoy and looking forward to the next one in the series.
