Blurb He offered me forever, but I begged to break free. Until the day we gave in to temptation. Now our lives were forever intertwined.
Monroe
Falling in love with your best friend's brother was one hundred percent an overused cliché in any romance book or RomCom. Especially when my best friend fell in love with my brother. However, he became my secret obsession, one I swore I’d never act on. Until he made me an offer I couldn’t refuse. Now here we are—nine months of secrets, scandal, and regrets. We weren’t supposed to be more than a night of giving in to forbidden pleasures. I didn’t know Jase was exactly what I wanted until he was the only thing I had. There was no one else in this town I could have fallen for and lived to reap the consequences. Jameson King made me a promise he swore never to break until I begged him to. I knew loving him would be my legacy if he didn’t ruin me first.
Jase
Monroe Bishop was unlike any other girl in Crossroads. She didn’t aim to please or impress me. In fact, I think her determination to hate me is what made me want her more. Especially since I was a man who rarely knew what he wanted. A man who had everything in the palm of his hand, yet I took it all for granted. I’d long given up on the prospect of love after falling victim to the manipulation of my ex-girlfriend. Though one night, when I saw Monroe dressed like the cowgirl of my wildest dreams, I couldn’t walk away. Nine months later, we’re reaping the consequences of our impulses. Monroe became a forbidden fruit. The biggest temptation—my best friend’s little sister, my little sister’s best friend. She would be my ruin if I let her get away with it. Luckily for me, I had no intention of letting her go unless she begged me to.

This was a lovely story to read... Could this have the potential of it being a 5 star read? Maybe... The concept of this story was really good... Unfortunately I found the pacing and the back and forth with the timeline to be a bit much.
I feel like this story could've worked if the "past" timeline was more about their opinions and thoughts of one another growing up from when they first met. Instead the "past" only focused on how she got pregnant and how he ended up finding out about it... Almost felt like it was unnecessary and could've been placed at the start of the story and had a better flow with the time jumps with it being known as well. With the 'past' timeline being only a couple months previous to the 'present' timeline it felt unbalanced and all over the place at points.
I didn't feel like there was much depth to the characters in this story. I still enjoyed it... I just felt it was very surfaced level. I feel like there could've been more depth in the understanding of the trauma they both experience and how they are growing as a whole.
Overall, I did finish the book so that means I didn't not like it... I just felt that the pacing could've been better but that is also just my personal taste. I also have not read the first book which could impact my view of this book to portray it to be very surface level if the trauma is better understood with their sibling's story in the first book... Am I motivated right now to read the first book... No, but I am intrigued enough to go back and read it.
Break Me, I Beg Youby Bellamy Roswell is book two inCrossroadsseries, but can be read as a Standalone. This book follows Monroe 'Moonshine' Bishop and Jameson 'Jase' Bradley King through their dual POV in a Best Friend’s Brother, Accidental Pregnancy, Forced Proximity, Small Town Romance.
When it came to the story overall, it was a good read with being enjoyable. From watching how Monroe and Jase came to be in the establishing of their relationship, only to then see it flourish as their story progressed over time. Taking you through the many ups and downs, highs and lows, with the constant back and forth. On the one hand you had Jase ready to go all in and establish a real relationship to build upon. No matter the rate they took each step at. And on the other was Monroe, who was cautious due to her issues leading to a lot of disbelief, hesitancy and unsureness of whether she could or believe it wouldn’t end the same in abandonment. Ultimately paving the way to major back and forth with all the pushing and pulling from both sides. But again from different reasonings.
There was also the OW drama that came from Jase’sEx always at the ready to poke holes and cause damage between Monroe and Jase. On top of family members from both sides putting their two cents in, given their involvement, especially seeing as Monroe and Jase came from two different families with vastly different backgrounds given the affluent and influential one name held. While the other coming from a tarnished name on the wrong side of the tracks. This alone made for a whirlwind ride, particularly with the addition of the waves of emotions that played alongside it.
The storyline also revolved around watching the character development of Monroe and Jase as individuals, seeing as they had their own issues to face, endure and overcome. As well as the drama that came about from secrets, lies and deceit. Yet it was to be expected since it involved their family members who played secondary characters to Monroe and Jase’s story too. Given their involvement to the drama and for some members being the key factor into bringing said drama to the table.
Seeing as Monroe and Jase’s story is book two in an interconnected series, it meant the inclusion of their family and friends stories as side subplots seeing as they were secondary characters to their story. Allowing us not only an update into Nash Bishop and Bailey King, since their story was book one. But also peeks into members whose stories are yet to come. Which was fun to see and watch, given the laughter it bought at times. And entertainment too, particularly from Monroe’s brothers who were very overprotective of her.
While I did enjoy the book for the most part, it wasn’t without its issues for me. The main one came from the way it was laid out for the first quarter. Although usually I don’t mind jumping between past and present, in this case it wasn’t for me, considering each chapter increased with the time jump being more longer and further ahead from the amount of time in the previous chapter.
My other issue came from the length of the book. In all honesty, I feel like some of it could’ve been shortened by cutting out the repetitiveness of the same back and forth between Monroe and Jase. Instead the ending should've been elongated a little more. The buildup to the climax was good, however when it came to the actual climax and the aftermath, that’s where it felt too rushed in my opinion. It would’ve been nice for it to be paced out a little, particularly seeing as it was all played out with the 4 or 5 chapters, that again were too short in my opinion.
In the end,Break Me, I Beg Youby Bellamy Roswell was a well written story. Navigating through a narrative filled with all the emotional feels, while venturing through growth, self-love and healing. With Monroe and Jase’s journey making for a sweet, heartfelt and heartwarming Small Town Romance.
*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
We meet Monroe and Jase after a few drinks while both on holiday. They’ve grown up together and Jase is Monroe’s best friends older brother, Jase was also Monroe’s older brothers best friend growing up. In a small town where Monroe’s family are harshly judged and the Kings (Jase) are favoured. An accidental pregnancy is just what the town needs to start spreading harsh gossip. For me this was like a slightly annoying tv show where you keep watching it anyway.
If you’re after a friends to lovers due to forced proximity with an added mix family loss, abandonment, a nasty soon to be mother in law and a problematic ex that won’t get the hint all in a small town. This is for you. This is book 2 in the interconnected series, can be read alone but I did like the other characters. The romance between the two was very much up and down and timeline was sometimes hard to follow.
This book made me angry at the characters which usually means it’s written well. Spoilers ahead.
FMC; Monroe is 27, TWENTY SEVEN. She is a fully grown adult who has completed uni/college and has her own design business. Why was she trying so hard to be a single mum? Literally at every turn. She didn’t want to tell Jase, she was forced to. Jase had also been seeking her out before knowing she was pregnant. She used every and any excuse to cut him out and the last 10% of the book made me so mad because all that drama and possibly hurt to her baby over what? She only wanted Jase once Indigo did.
MMC; Jase, 29, grew up blinded by loyalty to his parents yet was friends with the bishop family anyway. Started branching away from his parents. I feel like he fell for Monroe after that first night and kept trying to make things work. I was ready for him to just let her go
The ex situation; we see Jase going over and helping her when he’s in her town but before he knows about Monroe, even then he is telling her he’s not interested. She rocks up (how’s that Jase’s fault, she’s the issue) and his mum (also the issue) lets her stay. Also at this dinner Monroe is the one to invite her to stay at their home to “prove they have nothing to hide” but then blames Jase she’s still around. For someone who got her claws at out his mum why didn’t she have a backbone here and just say no. How does inviting your boyfriend’s ex to stay with you prove anything?
Also the town and the gossip? Why are they acting like they’re 18 and Jase had his whole life ahead of him. She sounds more successful than he does 🤣 sure he’s got family money but she’s earning her own. I think if they were younger it may have made sense but I thankfully have never lived in a town like that.
If you’re still here, overall I enjoyed the book, just feel like it could’ve been shorter with less Monroe treating Jase like she only wanted him because he ex wanted him back 🤷🏼♀️

I really enjoyed book two of this series, even though I read it as a standalone! Jameson (Jase) and Monroe really deserved each other in every way and I’m so glad I got to be one of the first to read their story!
I liked how we got glimpses into the past for the first quarter of the book, but I got confused a lot of the time, because we went back to the present and then into the past again. And each time the past was different, so it was kind of hard to get the hang of where I was at the moment.
I loved how Jase was ready to go all in and Monroe just wasn’t sure she deserved to let herself feel anything after how life has played out for her at that time. I get that she was hesitant but by the tenth time I was quite annoyed, to be completely honest. The book could’ve been shortened by removing some of the back and forth and giving us more of the end instead. It felt a bit rushed, but I loved how everyone was together and simply enjoying the moment and life! I sure would’ve loved to see some more of that!
I really loved the dynamic between Jase and Monroe (after their first hesitation), even though I hated the conflict at the 90% mark. I get that you’d want something to happen, but I felt like it was unnecessary and just another repetition of the same plot all over and really foreseeable. ☹️
Jase is such a cutie patootie, I really loved him! He tried so hard and the way he calls her moonbeam? I almost melted right then and there. Didn’t love how he handled his ex, but I sure loved how he handled our precious Monroe! 🤭
Monroe was hard to love at some points in the book, but I get it. She was scared to be hurt yet again and only wanted the best for her little baby bear. But I loved how she interacted with her best friends and her brothers and also really enjoyed watching her walls break down around Jase. The way she stood up for Jase at dinner? Awesome. 💌
Overall I really enjoyed the book and had a fun time reading it!
𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐎 𝐄𝐗𝐏𝐄𝐂𝐓: 🤍 family feud 🌸 accidental pregnancy 🤍 enemies to lovers 🌸 small town 🤍 forced proximity 🌸 found family
Monroe is the youngest member of the Bishop clan. Even though she is the only daughter, she has never been able to escape the black cloud that her family’s reputation has placed over her head. On a summer trip to Florida with her best girl friends, she ends up hooking up with her best friend’s brother, promising it was only one time, and would never happen again, until a month later when she finds out she’s pregnant. Even before he finds out, he keeps reaching out, wanting a chance to start something more with him, but between knowing how much it could further tear apart their families, not to mention the secret she is keeping from him, she knows that anything more would be a big mistake, until it all comes out in a very big way.
After being manipulated by his ex girlfriend, Jase told himself that love wasn’t in the cards for him. However, after spending one night with Monroe, he can’t help himself but wanting more than the one night they promised each other. When he finds out that she is carrying his child, he sees it as the opportunity to get exactly what he wants, especially when their families find out and things blow up, forcing her to move in with him. Forced to fake being in a relationship when his manipulative ex comes around, he is determined to make Monroe see how things could truly be, if she let him in.
I received an early copy of this book from Ever After PR and absolutely adored it. As much as I loved Bailey and Nash in the first book, Monroe and Jase definitely hold a special place in my heart. Monroe has been left behind by almost everyone who was supposed to love her, and doesn’t know what it means to be loved, but watching Jase gradually teach her through his actions was swoon-worthy, and when she went to bat for him against his family, I was cheering from the sidelines. While they had their lives more or less together, it was clear that they had some serious growing up to do emotionally, and while they may have been forced together by their circumstances, in the end they fit together so perfectly.
My goodness I really enjoyed this, it was a perfect palette cleanse for me between fantasy books,I devoured it in 24hrs. This book is book 2 of the Crossroads series it is an interconnecting standalone. I hadn’t read book 1 prior to my reading this as an eARC and found I had no issues at all settling into the story.
I rated this book 4.25
We meet our FMC and MMC who have known each other for a good chunk of their lives, our FMC Monroe believes our MMC Jase is very much a womaniser she tries where possible to keep her distance from him despite him being her best friends brother. Unfortunately after a trip away she find a herself having a one night stand with him and regretting it massively the morning after. She regrets her actions even more when she finds out she is accidentally pregnant weeks later. Monroe is a slightly emotionally injured soul having lost anyone that meant anything to her in the past meaning she has major issues with getting too close to anyone. Therefore she tries to keep her pregnancy hidden from Jase in order to protect her heart…. But he’s not silly and puts two and two together and works out what’s going on. He proposes that for the babies sake they should live together in his home, which is situated on his families ranch. This is where the fun starts, we have a back story between both families that complicates things, we have a mother and ex girlfriend that really, the only way to describe them is bitches!😁😁. If you love tropes such as:
Accidental Pregnancy Forced proximity Found family Best friends brother Best friends sister Secrets You will love this book. I can’t wait to dive into other books of Bellamys’ going forward this won’t be my last one.
This was the epitome of let the haters hate. We all know that gossip runs hot and blows up like a powder keg in every small town, but when the cowboy of the golden King family finds himself with a baby on the way with the rival family's daughter, the gossip mill hits an all-time high. And the gossip piece of choice - Monroe Bishop - the tatted up, honest to heart, not aiming to please anyone, one night stand.
'Yeah, you cried out the Almighty Father's name a few times last night, if I recall correctly. Though not as many times as you screamed out mine.'
The one-night stand turns into the 'I had sex with my best friends' brother and now I'm pregnant' trope and it was every second of spectacularly dramatic and equally spicy. Gotta love a good forced-proximity of two people too stupid to admit their feelings to really make them lock into what really matters to them.
'This is going to be a disaster, you know that, right?' / 'Maybe, but it will be a disaster of our own making. Because from here on out, Moonshine, it's you, me and our little bear.'
The pace of the story wrapped itself around the town and the premise of the accidental pregnancy like a modern day love story. It was sweet when it needed to be (picking colors for the nursery), hard when it came to tough decisions (what really matters is their family), and above all so well done that it felt like I was locked in and pulled through the story on a sweet country song. Line by line their love was written in the words that reminded me exactly why the found family/chosen family is what really matters the most.
When we choose who we love and let in? Yeah, that makes all the difference. Especially for a happy ending!
This is book two in the Crossroads Series. I personally recommend reading in order to help better understand certain content in this book.
What happens in Florida does not always stay in Florida. Monroe and Jase grew up with each other. Each being best friends with each others siblings. One night an offer was made that could not be refused. But not all secrets can be hidden, especially when 9 months later that secret will come about.
Bishops and Kings are from two different sides of a coin. One is highly regarded in the town and the other is quietly talked about. Jase King never really struggled with anything. He is from the Golden family that can do know wrong until secrets came out. Now, Jase is questioning a lot of things. But not once did he question his feelings for Monroe. Monroe Bishop is the youngest of her family. Neither of her parents wanted her and her oldest brother raised her. People always leave, is her mantra. She has her best friends that stand by her with everything. Her brothers come in and out of her life, she knows they all love each other and will back each other up, but everyone still leaves.
Monroe struggles with her feelings towards Jase. Jase knows she loves him but is scared. He does everything he can not to scare her of the feelings that are growing amongst them. Monroe is trying to overcome her fears but things keep happening that are making her question everything.
This a great accidental pregnancy story. Bellamy made it very modern with a sweet love story that came about it. Nothing felt rushed and things happened naturally. I love this series for its chosen family premise.
Having read Love Me, I Dare You I started looking forward to more from this world! I got right back into the Crossroads world. I so enjoyed this story!
Monroe and Jase's journey captured my attention quickly! These two had been in each other's lives for years since Monroe is best friends with Jase's sister and Jase is best friends with Monroe's brother. As things ignite between the two of them it changes both of their lives forever. Now Jase and Monroe are becoming parents, but could they also end up together in the process?
I really liked how Jase and Monroe had known each other for years. It was great to see them give into their feelings and how they were having a baby together. From their new reality, their families, and all of their feelings for each other, I wanted to see how they'd take it all on!
I was happy to see Monroe and Jase be brought closer together and figuring out their feelings. They were in this together. The chemistry between these two was so good! Jase and Monroe had me feeling many things with them!
I enjoyed being back in the Crossroads world and seeing familiar faces. Also, I loved the Moonshine nickname!
With Break Me, I Beg You, Ms.Roswell has created such a good best friend's brother romance that brought accidental pregnancy, family and realness, love and spice, and the feels! 💗🤠
I'm looking forward to more from this series!
Check out the author's trigger warnings note.
*I volunteered to read and review a copy of this book from Ever After PR / the author*
Monroe's family (Bishop's) is ostracized in the small town that she grew up in. Monroe books a trip to Florida with her best friends to escape her small town and while there runs into an unexpected person. Her best friend's older brother Jase. They end up hooking up but saying it is just a onetime thing to get it out of their system. Then comes the surprise a month later, Monroe is pregnant.
Jase's family (King's) is celebrated and much loved in the small town. Jase has a previous relationship where she manipulated him in a way that made him not trust love or want anything to do with it. Until that hookup in Florida, now he can't get Monroe out of his mind and wants more than just that one night. So, he views the pregnancy as a win to get what he wants. Monroe moves in the Jase's spare bedroom, because they want to be a family unit without the relationship so they think. Jase just wants to take care of her and provide what she needs as well.
Jase and Monroe's banter and chemistry keeps you engaged in the story and wanting more. The book gives the ending you want with some chaos on the way. However, for me like most books I am usually just wanting more. I am not sure I have ever read a book or series where I didn't want catch ups or future time jumps to just see how life goes, and I definitely want that for Jase and Monroe.
Thank you Ever After PR and Bellamy Roswell for sharing this book with me early. All of my opinions are my own.
Bellamy Roswell is a new author to me and I grabbed this book because accidental pregnancy trope is usually an automatic yes for me. Break Me, I Beg You is the second book in the Crossroads series and is an interconnected standalone.
Characters: Monroe Bishop Jameson “Jase” King
This was a sweet love story. The beginning starts with time jumps from past to present and I think sometimes the jumps were too big for some sections.
The main characters move in together during the pregnancy with a plan to coparent. They are two very different people from different families. Jase is from an affluent and influential family while Monroe is from the wrong side of town. They also share family secrets.
Jase is down bad for Monroe. He tries to provoke reactions just to have her attention. Monroe has faced a life of abandonment and her self esteem is damaged as a result. Jase has to prove himself time and again. There is other woman drama but no cheating. I didn’t love the way that storyline resolved, it felt too easy compared to the rest of the story.
I absolutely hated other characters stories getting resolved during the resolution of these characters. It was just a faux pas that I couldn’t get past.
What to Expect: Dual POV Small Town Best friend’s brother Accidental pregnancy Forced proximity Fake relationship He falls first
Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️/5
Thank you Bellamy Roswell and Ever After PR for providing me with an advanced copy of this book!
Break Me, I Beg You by Bellamy Roswell is Book 2 of the Crossroads Series. This is a Best Friends Brother, Accidental Pregnancy, Small Town Romance following Monroe Bishop and Jase King. 🚩This is for readers 18 years and/or older as it has mature content and not suitable for underage readers 🚩
My thoughts 💭 My heart!!!! Goodness, I could not put this book down. Monroe is probably the strongest FMC I’ve read. Being new to the author and series I had no idea what to expect but I am not disappointed at all. The heartbreak and trauma is written so amazingly, but all of it ultimately leaves you with the most beautiful HEA. Monroe and Jase couldn’t have come from a more opposite family background, but their family obligations were not going to stop Jase from showing Monroe that he will work for what he wants, and he will not give up on making her see and accept the inevitable…she was his. He is probably one of the most patient MMCs I have read to date! The character growth is beautiful, not only for the main characters but the side characters also, I am curious if the series will continue, I need more on Monty haha. If you love a slow burn, accidental pregnancy, small town romance then you will devour this one.
✨I would like to thank author Bellamy Roswell and Ever After Pr for the opportunity to read and review Break Me, I Beg You.
Break me, I beg! A small town romance, which gives all the rom-com guilty pleasure vibes with extra spice and all the emotional rollercoasters possible! It’s a forbidden love. The pace of the book is really enjoyable and I ate it up quickly❣️
For character context, Monroe the FMC is not your typical small-town girl: tough, honest, and unbothered. Jase the MMC is the charismatic cowboy with a past that’s left him wary of love.
What was meant to be a one-night thing turns into an unexpected pregnancy, tangled emotions, and a series of secrets and hardships that bind them together. The way that their connection is forbidden, as Monroe is deeply connected to Jase’s inner circle (inc best friend/sister overlaps), and town gossip quickly spirals, and everyone knows everyone’s business within 5 minutes as it always goes in small towns.
In this story, forced proximity and drama push both Monroe and Jase to confront their feelings, vulnerabilities, and what they really want for their future, and I enjoyed exploring this throughout the book, and I could really feel the emotions.
I am a sucker for an accidental pregnancy and throw in a best friend’s brother and I’m done! Break Me, I Beg You is the second book in Bellamy’s Crossroads series and I loved this one as much as the first if not more. Monroe and Jase just had me from the very first page…let’s be real they had me in book one and I just held on tight to them. Poor Monroe just broke my heart at times, with how the small town people treated her and the things they thought they were whispering out of earshot. Jase is of course the town golden boy and anyone asked was trapped by Monroe when their one night tired into two pink lines. What Monroe doesn’t realize or want to believe is the Jase is all in and wants to be with her, not jus because of a baby on the way, but because he’s down bad for her. Watching them navigate there new normal with their friends that include his sister and her very protective brothers, Monroe was able to let her guard down and allow herself to feel what Jase has been feeling all along. I love Bellamy’s writing so much with how she gives beautiful backstories that leaves you wanting more. I can’t wait for the rest of these friends and family members to get their stories.
Thank you Bellamy and Ever After PR for the chance to read and review Break Me, I Beg You

I devoured the banter and chemistry between Monroe and Jase
Jase is that MMC who doesn’t like no for an answer and ends up getting what he wants But watching Jase teach her through his actions was a swoon worthy moment I loved but in the end they fit perfectly together.
I had the pleasure of receiving this as an e-ARC and voluntarily will be giving my honest review. This was an absolutely amazing read!! This is my first for this Author and I fell in love with her writing! This was an accidental pregnancy small town romance with just enough spice. It told you some of the back story and the present it was a smooth read!!

In book two we have Monroe and Jase story! And it didn’t disappoint, in the first book you get a glimpse of what is going on with them, so you know a little about what their story is going to be.
This is a accidental pregnancy, best friends brother, fake relationship and so much more. I really like the dynamic between Monroe and Jase, and the chemistry was there.
I really felt for Monroe, everyone she loves has left her in the past in someway and that has made her distrustful and in her eyes that nobody will ever stay and fight for her. But Jase….throughout the book it’s all he ever wants to do is to show her that he is not leaving, that they are more than just co-parents to their child.
I really enjoyed this book, I liked the characters, the side characters as well. The story itself was well written and I loved how it developed especially for the main characters. The story was solid and kept you invested, a very fantastic read.
And I’m holding out hope that the rest of the bishops might get a story too…
🤠 Smal Town Romance 🥃 Best Friends Brother 🤰 Accidental Pregnancy ❤️🩹 Past Trauma/Family Drama 🎟️ One Night Stand
Blurb: He offered me forever, but I begged to break free. Until the day we gave in to temptation. Now our lives were forever intertwined
ARC review: There is just something about an accidentally pregnancy trope when the MMC steps up for the FMC and future child. It gets me every single time! This book was a perfect representation of that.
This 2nd book in the Crossroads Series was so good that it got me in feels. Although I didn’t read the first book, I was still able to follow along with no issues. This small town in North Carolina is full of town gossips and DRAMA. It was such a good time.
Although Monroe and Jase grew up together in the same town, they both had very different childhoods. Monroe had serious trust issues and let me tell you, she sure made Jase work for it. I was rooting for Jase and Monroe the entire time.
To start off I would like to say thank you so much to Ever After PR for allowing me to read this ahead of the release date.
Going into this I had no expectations and honestly, no idea of what this book was going to be about, apart from the fact that it was a small town, cowboy romance.
The story opens up with Jase and Monroe leaving a club to head home together, after having coincidentally been in Florida at the same time, which ends up leading to Monroe falling pregnant.
From then on the book follows Jase and Monroe navigating soon to be parenthood and entering a fake relationship, because they think that is what’s best for their unborn baby.
However, there was some unnecessary drama that kept on presenting itself throughout the book and after the first few times it got annoying and predictable. As well as this, I felt as if the characters lacked depth and the story was more about their day to day lives than them as characters.
Small town cowboy romance. Slow burn, two families at odds, best friends brother and sister loves. This book was well written and couldn’t wait to see how Monroe and Jase story.
The King’s and Bishops two big ranch families who grew up together. Monroe bishop an interior designer working with her brother on the ranch, Jase the upcoming heir of the King family. Jase is Monroe’s best friend brother and also has been burned in love. Monroe who has not settled down but has had a crush on Jase since she was young.
They end up having a one night drunken stand and now Monroe is pregnant. Jase finds out he loves her and will do anything to get her be with him. But his ex girlfriend Indigo and his mother have different plans.
This is a funny small town romance with interwoven stories which I loved reading. Could not put down and can’t wait to see what the author writes next.
Break me, I beg you. Such a sweet story about the struggles between a couple and their families.
Monroe and Jase are childhood friends but come from very different backgrounds. A night of fun for the two ends up in an accidental pregnancy, and Monroe trying to navigate life as a new mum but also whether she wants to pursue a relationship with Jase, all whilst his ex is in town, whom his mum adores and tries to get the two back together.
I really liked this story and the direction the author took it. It was a slow burn, but I really enjoyed the journey the two main characters went on. I will definitely be going back and reading the first book in this series, but this book can be read as a standalone.
FMC Monroe’s family is looked down on and ostracized in her small hometown. MMC Jase is the older brother of Monroe’s best friend and is the Golden Boy of the town. Jase has issues with trust in relationships due to his ex. Monroe and her friends go on a trip to Florida and she runs into Jase. One thing leads to another and there’s positive pregnancy test. Monroe makes Jase think that maybe he could trust someone and be in a relationship again. Monroe moves in with Jase with the idea of being a family without the romantic relationship part of it. Jase wants to take care of Monroe and the baby and provide for Monroe in all ways. Jase and Monroe have great chemistry and banter and an HEA.
Personally, I did enjoy the connection between Monroe and Jase. The chemistry and the attraction was so palpable from the beginning and that led me to ponder about how nice it would have been if I could get to know them in the past before I came back to the present when I first began diving into the book. I felt like that was a missing piece for me in terms of connecting with and getting to know the characters more.
That said, I did enjoy my time getting to know the dynamics of Monroe and her family. Her reputation vs Jase’s in this town. And I did enjoy what I read in the conclusion though; how everything came together at the end🥹
Thank you for the ARC in exchange for my honest review!
"When I said I was going to get you to fall at my feet, this isn't exactly what I meant."
I really enjoyed this! Jase was all in from the moment he found out what Monroe was hiding.. prolly even before that! Monroe feels the same she is just used to having to take care of herself so she denies the feelings to him and herself. I love the chemistry between Jase and Monroe and how they cant keep their hands off one another! 😁 I have really enjoyed this one and the first book! I really hope we get books on some of the other characters as well! 😊 thank you so much for the opportunity to arc read this! 🖤🥰
Break Me, I Beg You by Bellamy Roswell is an emotional, small-town romance that pulls you straight into Monroe and Jase’s messy, complicated relationship. What starts as a one-night stand quickly turns into so much more. The unexpected pregnancy forces them to face feelings they’d rather avoid.
There’s plenty of drama, tension, and push-and-pull between the characters. However it did feel a bit repetitive at times, but the emotional moments and chemistry kept me invested.
Overall, it’s a heartfelt read with strong emotions, growth, and a satisfying ending.
I absolutely loved this book. Monroe is the youngest of the bishop clan. Everyone who supposed to love her has up and left her. On a girls getaway she has a one night stand with her best friend brother which ends up in an accidental pregnancy. Jase is the golden boy of his siblings. Since the one night stand Jase can’t not get Monroe out of his head. Even though they said it was a one time thing, Jase wants more. When he learns of Monroe pregnancy he does everything right by here. If you love an accidental pregnancy this is the book for you.
Everything about this book is amazing! The growth Monroe goes through is what makes my heart melt the most. Being pregnant is tough but being pregnant with abandonment issues is worse. You don’t know how to rely on someone even if they’re there for you every step of the way like Jase is. Their relationship and growth within each other is heart stopping. The way Jase proves to her brothers he is there for her and the baby for life melted my heart down. Amazing book I’ll definitely be shouting to everyone I know!
I really enjoyed this small town second chance romance. Monroe falls pregnant to Jase and is struggling throughout because of her own abandonment issues. But Jase is right there by her side every step of the way to prove to her he’s not going anywhere. I loved the drama in this. The storyline was great. The characters were very well developed. This is the type of book that you can really connect with. You get pulled in emotionally, and you’re invested until the end. This was spicy and romantic. It was loving and just an all around wonderful read.
It was enjoyable but it didn’t have that kick to it. It’s started off good but as the chapters go, the story gets more flatter. I was expecting more of characters development for both FMC and MMC but it isn’t there.
I loved the back and forth between past and present but it didn’t give us much but how it happened that night. I was expecting more interactions between them, more than just them being one night stand and the pregnancy. Again, I enjoyed it but I need more emotional depth and characters development.
Thank you Ever After PR and Bellamy Roswell for the ARC!
They have known each other their entire lives life, he is here big brothers best friend, and he needed not too get away from his X girlfriend and her fiancé.
One night will keep them in one another’s life forever, But can they find their own place together?
I got confused sometimes whit the switching of timelines at the beginning, but I think that’s my bad 😅
Love this story, I like this trope whit not a pland pregnancy 🤰🏼 The writing is great, and I want too read more from Bellamy ❤️🔥
