The brutal alternative history world war rages on! Perfect for fans of Philip Kerr, Dean Koontz, Robert Harris and Tom Clancy.
The war started in the four corners of the globe. Now it’s in America’s backyard…
In Cuba, wounded by the assassination of Castro, the communist hardliners are out to strike back — by proving the vulnerability of the United States.
In Texas, fanatic survivalists calling themselves Defenders of the Texas Revolution turn their guns against their fellow countrymen.
In Nepal, a reporter witnesses a brutal Chinese atrocity and tries to get the message out — but is ignored by a world occupied by an even greater skirmish.
In Nicaragua, U.S. Special Forces are on the move, trying to protect the people from their own government.
On the eve of the twenty-first century, a series of rolling political upheavals and acts of fanaticism have ignited a war on seven continents.
As they all converge into high-tech killing fields, nowhere seems to be safe.
But can raw courage in battle mean the difference between victory and defeat…?
BORDER WINDS is a high-tech, action-packed, alternative-history military adventure set in the 20th century. It is the second international conspiracy thriller in the Global War series.
THE GLOBAL WAR MILITARY THRILLER BOOK 1: Dawn of Conflict BOOK 2: Border Winds BOOK 3: Expanding Crisis
Jeeps instead of humvees? Yeah ok. A reporter that supposedly served in Vietnam being a weak spined individual. Soldiers removing magazines from weapons and just throwing them down and not putting them in their BDU cargo pockets? Reloading a weapons and then pulling the charging handles instead of just hitting the bolt lock button. Yeah ok.....more of the nonsense of announcing the secrecy of the briefings at the start. Ok book to fill the time, but written horribly.
We’re book 1 was the a series of well planned events book 2 is the opposite has shudder players move the world nations and individuals act in ways that throw off such plans with chaos. Some will help to oppose the shows fly players but others played into there hands.
This was a read not if a grand events but the little ones that will set the stage for what’s to come.
Good story could have been written from today's news channel. There was a lot of action happening on each page and I can't wait to see how the other books add to the story.
