If all book heroes were like werewolf Cameron Mitchell, then I would be falling in love with each one. He is someone who has so many wonderful traits, and my fondness of him increased with each of his honorable actions. Being paired with a spunky woman doubled my reading enjoyment, as they make a dynamic couple for whom I truly cared. Lots of secrets add suspense and their revelations cause much uncertainty. Linda Thomas-Sundstrom has written one of the best Nocturne stories I have read lately, because all the elements that make this Harlequin line fascinating are present. WOLF HUNTER captivates with innovative paranormal aspects plus an unforgettable romance.

Just because Abby Stark knows about the non-human beings that live in Miami, it does not mean she is ready to meet one. However, it seems her luck has run out, as she feels the presence of a powerful werewolf watching her. Her special talent is sensing these beasts before they change, and then her father or the hunters who follow his directions can track down the werewolves. Since she is alone, Abby is fearful because she realizes how dangerous the creature can be this close to a full moon.

When the werewolf finally lets her see him, he still looks human yet she gets an impression of there being so much more to him besides exceptional physical features. Abby cannot explain the overwhelming attraction she feels for this male Were, but she definitely understands the risk if she gives in to temptation. Cameron Mitchell has come to the park in order to make certain those with traits like himself do not harm the innocent, but an unexpected encounter with a fascinating woman has him also thinking about getting to know her better. Abby has always accepted the werewolf theories told by her father as the truth, but speaking with Cameron makes her question everything she has believed about these beings.

The books in the Wolf Moons series by Linda Thomas-Sundstrom contain very interesting facts about werewolves, as their physical features are distinctive along with their abilities. I have always been a fan of these remarkable creatures, and those written by this author always keep me totally entertained with their uniqueness. WOLF HUNTER has a werewolf getting close to a person who hunts them, and the consequences of them being together could be tragic for either of them. There was never a moment when I did not feel the emotion pouring off Cameron and Abby, and this let me connect with them in ways I often do not with the main characters. Their inner feelings are clearly exposed, and the depth of these emotions deeply touched my own. The sexual relationship of Cameron and Abby is exceedingly sensual without being graphic. While they may have uncontrollable urges, any time they are intimate is beautifully conveyed with such intensity.

There are a large number of hidden truths in the story, and I was certainly not expecting several of them. As each new fact is exposed, the chance of Cameron and Abby being able to have a lasting relationship keeps decreasing. Linda Thomas-Sundstrom has created an emotional love story, where these two are lonely yet fears keep either of them from bringing someone into their lives. With every bit of information learned, I became more worried about Cameron and Abby’s welfare. He is such an extraordinary man, as his behavior proves over and over again. Though he could have turned out so much differently, his concern for others has only increased over time. How Abby reacts to what she discovers after they meet is backed with loads of strong feelings. Several characters from previous books show up in the story, and I liked seeing what is currently happening in their lives. Hopefully, this series with all its passionate werewolves will continue for a long while. WOLF HUNTER is intriguingly original.

Another great book in Wolf Moons series.

Abby is a soul searching for truth. She was hoping that there is some good in Sam, he was her father, out of respect for her mother. If her mother loved him there has to be some good in him. Deep inside she suspected the truth. She was also afraid to find the reason behind her ability to sense werewolves.

Cameron is an exceptional man with high standards. The main concern was to protect people from himself and bad guys. His change changed him in a way to be even more vigilant in taking care of innocents. His faith in Abby’s goodness was amazing, even after some concerns were revealed by her and his new friends. Things that any other man would first point finger at her and accuse her of her past. He welcomed her in his life with such a passion. Can’t wait to see more of them in the next book.

Wolf Moons is a series about werewolf shape shifters who are so much more than they seem. In this case... WOLF HUNTER is about a secret sect of wolf hunters in Miami and the young woman who helps locate Weres for them, under duress. Until she actually meets one face-to-face and her world changes.

Enter a sexy, decorated detective who also has a secret he'd prefer not to share with the world, and a desire to bring these wolf hunters down.

Will Abby and Cameron, two enemies, fight their instincts and become lovers?
What about when those wolf hunters find out Abby has defected?

All of my WOLF MOONS novels and novellas are standalone stories in the Paranormal Romantic Suspense genre. I love action and conflict and... love. Don't you?

Thanks for reading WOLF HUNTER. I hope you love it.

Oh My Gosh!! This book was so exciting!! This is exactly why I love this series so much. The plot with all it’s secrets was just fantastic. Sizzling, hot passion. Danger. Drama. Everything you could want in a book. And I loved seeing some of the members of the Miami pack in this story.

"Wolf Hunter" is another novel in my stand-alone Wolf Moons series from Nocturne. Here's the blurb . . . and a brief excerpt !!

Blurb:
Sworn enemies fated to be supernatural lovers…

Only a few know about a race of Lycans hidden deep within Miami's underground. And those who do not embrace the wolves seek to destroy them. Cameron Mitchell has sought to protect his kind…at any cost. But one beautiful woman may be his undoing.

Born into a family of wolf hunters, Abby Stark has never actually confronted a Lycan. Then Cameron steps out of the shadows and Abby is overcome with the need to be devoured. With her father vowing to destroy all of Cameron's kind, Abby knows they have no future. Coupling with a were is not her destiny. Yet walking away is proving impossible.

EXCERPT *** WOLF HUNTER***

He stood tall enough to tower over her, and was twice as broad. A first glance proved him to be brutally handsome. His energy was electrifying. Looking at him kicked the scalding Miami summer temperature up several notches and turned her shudders seismic. Her heartbeats thundered in a way that any Were worthy of its species would be attracted to.

Searching, she saw nothing wolfish in his outline, though an aura of Otherness radiated from him like visible radio waves. His casual, almost nonchalant stride screamed of combustible energy tightly contained in a human casing. His long limbs and wide shoulders were topped by a tanned sculpted face and thick chin-length hair that fell somewhere on the color spectrum between gold and bronze.

Oh yes. This guy was a breed unto himself, and completely unlike anything she had come across before. He was a magnetic.
Too gorgeous to be human.

I received this book on Friday morning and finished it on Friday night. I couldn't put it down. It was just the right amount of romance, suspense, humor, and great story.

Abby is the daughter of a werewolf hunter and Cameron is a police officer who is also a werewolf. They meet in the park the night before the full moon and are immediately attracted to each other. Abby had the ability to sense a werewolf when they are in their human form so her father uses that ability to hunt. However, he has always told her that all werewolves are evil. She now discovers that there are good werewolves as well. A lot of good ones as it turns out. Now she has a huge problem. Her father will never believe that a werewolf could be good.

These are true werewolves in this story. The kind that you see in all the movies. They are not your walk on four legs and look like dogs werewolves. These are your walk on two legs giant scary werewolves. But just like those other werewolves they mate for life. And Abby finds herself mated to Cameron. There is also the fact that Abby' s mother died and her father erased all evidence of her and refuses to talk about her.

I loved this story. I loved the way Linda brought each character to life. She made me believe that these were real people and that werewolves just might be real. The love story was perfect. And the suspense had me breathless. I had to keep reading to see what would happen next. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves a good paranormal romance, a good mystery, and a good read. Great job Linda! Can't wait to read more!

Another romping, fast-paced Were book from Linda. This time, a woman who is the daughter of the head of an illegal Hunting club has a lot to lose if her feelings for a full moon and the man she meets beneath that moon catch up with her.

She's supposed to keep watch for werewolves, for her father. Werewolf pelts bring a pretty penny on the black market if the Weres can be taken down before they change back to their human forms. But what if she has feelings for the big Were she accidentally meets? SIZZLE happens, that's what. Along with a life-altering zag in her future path.

Terrific book. A good addition to Linda's other Wolf Moons series books.

Welp, this was not at all what I expected. I'd seen this labeled New Adult. And to be fair Abby is 23-24 years old, so New Adult age. And while I know plenty of New Adult titles do have sex in them, they don't usually have the characters sexing it up within about 10 minutes of first meeting, after having exchanged about 10 sentences, which is what happens in Wolf Hunter. I'll grant that Thomas -Sundstrom did a good job of establishing that there was some sort of magnetic, paranormal draw at play. But it definitely required that I re-calibrate my expectations. (I also didn't realize it's 4th in a series, but that took much less mental adjustment. It stands alone pretty well.))

I don't actually have any problem with the book being more erotica than romance. In fact, I can't really say there was any romance at all. The attraction and loyalty and love was all based on the characters being fated mates and the go-go-go of the plot never allows them to actually speak and get to know one another. So, I'll re-phrase. I don't have any problem with this being erotica (or erotica-like, since I wouldn’t quite call the sex graphic enough to truly qualify), instead of romance, as I expected. Especially since the little bit of plot that the sexy-times hang on is entertaining, the writing is easily readable, and the editing clean.

Thus, as long as you go into this with appropriate expectations it's perfectly enjoyable. I'll probably even look up those earlier books that I apparently skipped.

a bit difficult to follow... as much is stream of conscious in each's mind... without all the facts...

but... Abby Stark's father is a Hunter and seller of werewolf pelts... he has taught Abby to hate and fear them... and Abby can sense when a man actually is a were... her father knows her mother and father are weres, and has been feeding a bit of silver to keep her from shifting...she's a bit suspicious of father, but wants to please him (though she never can)...

and Cameron Mitchell is a police officer, who was bitten 6 months ago and is now a were... he knows there are others, but those he's come across are bad (hurting humans)... so he patrols the park (the same one where Abby's father has targeted) to take out weres...

and the two meet... and are overcome with animal lust... and have sex... and somehow the sex sets of her shifting (though only a fingertip to start)...

and the move back and forth, looking for each other, protecting each other, drawing each other into danger... but Cameron (and Abby) finally meets good weres (many police officers with him)... and in the end, dad is arrested... and Abby and Cameron are mated...

Lust at first sight and then some

Say hello to Cameron and Abby, two folks from different and opposing worlds who immediately connect in Miami's notorious hotspot for "others" - a park where gangs aren't the only wild things stalking the night. They shouldn't be lovers, they shouldn't even be friends. Abby is the "other" detector for a group of hunters, while Cameron is a cop who recently joined the world of weres and is exactly what Abby's crew seeks to kill.
This book starts off with a bang (pun intended) and keeps ramping up the action from there. Abby discovers there is more to werewolves than just their pelts, as well as who and what she truly is. Cameron is on the road to discovering he's not alone in his otherness and learning to control his newfound power. Together they face the odds and obstacles to stay alive and to be together. This is a fast-paced read with great plot development. Even if you haven't read the other books in the series, you won't be lost in the storyline or characters. Great read!!

Welcome back to Miami where the weres are in trouble again . A secret wild game hunters are in town and werewolves are on their list . Abby a young woman who can sense werewolves is out and on the hunt but what she doesn't know is that she will be walking into her destiny. When Cameron comes into her life and changes it forever . Will they be able to survive the hunters and will they be able to come together .
This is such a good read , the characters are so well written and complex . Cameron is a decorated police officer but he is so much more . He is also a werewolf who was infected while on the job . He is a character that will have you instantly loving him . He is cool under pressure and wants to keep people safe . He is also a wounded man that is kind of sad in some ways .You just want to hug him and tell him life is ok and then in the next moment you want to climb him like a spider monkey . Abby is a sweet character she is more then meets the eyes also. She has been around evil people that have basically brain washed her into hunting the wolves . She is stronger then anyone knows and when push comes to shove she is a fighter . When these two get together they are unstoppable and will fight for what is right and their growing intensity for each other .
This is a story that you will get sucked into fast and hard . The author has a way of writing about werewolves that seem to be more mature then most authors . The characters will keep you entertained as the story sucks you in . This book can be read as a stand alone but if you read the series you will meet everyone that is in this book . I read this book in an evening I just couldn't put it down . This author can make you laugh, cry and get angry at the characters and then want to hug them and tell them everything will be ok . So if you want an action packed book that will keep you on the edge of your seat and make you blush . Check it out you will not be disappointed.

I haven't read any other books in this series, but it works fine as a stand-alone. I found the beginning of the book slow going as the first 10% of the story is one long scene that consists of a handful of spoken lines spaced out over 30 pages of prose primarily dealing with internal thoughts. There is a whole lot of instant lust and yearning.

The story picked up after that but by the mid way point, I was feeling exhausted as nearly the entire book transpires over the course of one single night. The story line is relentless as characters endlessly go looking for trouble and then get injured and get patched up only to go looking for more trouble over and over again with the only downtime consisting of draw out sex scenes.

The prose is overblown with too many redundant metaphors. The writing was at its best when it used restrained pronouncements that I think of as modern dark comic book style. There is relatively little dialogue which wasn't a bad choice considering the author lacks an ear for it.

I like the world she created and the side characters who are from other books were interesting but the author's writing style makes me reluctant to read anything else by her. Have to say though all of the public nudity was hysterical. Also, I appreciated her novel take on procreation.

Cameron and Abby

She was raised to hunt monsters. Were's were evil and dangerous to humans. He was a Miami police detective and a Were. He'd been infected while arresting one of the dangerous ones.

They both had much to learn about the beings at the forefront of their lives. He was new to the being he'd changed into and knew little about them. He sought out the ones dangerous to humans he served. She met him and what she'd known all her life changed. He wasn't evil. He wasn't dangerous or a monster. She was drawn to him in a way no other man had affected her.

The story is amazing with the awakening of a new being and learning how it worked in his life. His attraction to a woman who...well let's say she was working with someone he needed to stop. The revelations are many and the surprises life-changing.

The characters are wonderfully good or evil. The world-building is amazing and this is a series I love and can read over and over.

This book was good in theory but lacked a bit of execution. I think I got lost a bit in the beginning and maybe the timing of the novel was just off for me, but dang...how much can happen in a night? This had to happen in December otherwise there wouldn't have been enough time. That being said I did like the characterization that the author brought into the novel. I would like to see how Cameron and Abby deal with her transition and whether or not they decide to join the pack. I did like the comic book/Sci-fi references in the names but that might just have been a me thing. Overall a good book that I hope was the start of a good series. I'd give it a 3.5/5.

O Wow, just Wow.
What happens when the hunted becomes the obsessed?
Abby has been trained by her father to sense and hunt out Were's. But where does this sense she has come from? She needs to find out about her past. What did happen to her mother? But her father is not very forth coming.
Cameron was a Miami cop who was bitten one night not to long ago. And turned into something he does not yet fully understand.. Is he the only cop like this now? Or is there other's like him fighting for good?
An accidental meeting in the park will change their lives forever.
Can't wait for the next riveting story in this series..

This one is full of so much that it fills you up from beginning to end. The danger also is one that keeps us and them on their toes. Cameron is a character that give your heart to right away. Abby is one that even though her father is out destroy her heart tells her something else. They keep us into this story with it being one that can be read alone but part of a series that has been a delight to read. the sizzle and pop is what comes between those that are truly mated. You watch that also counting down how long. The suspense is so well blended in it. It does not get any better than this.

I have not read a book yet that I didn't like of Linda Thomas-Sundstroms. From the beginning I was drawn in and did not want to put it down. This story has a little of everything; sex, action, danger, etc. It is the perfect blend and kept me wanting more. This book is part of a series, but can be read as a stand-alone without you feeling as if you're missing something integral to the storyline.
