Tempted by her Italian Surgeon. The characters were a little bit like me which was amazing. So a lawyer who wants to set the wrongs to right and a doctor very passionate about what he does.

Caught up in kinda sorta scandal of Mr Italian's naked butt found on the internet, their time together bring to fore their need (buried deep down) to be part of a whole.

Broken by previous experiences, they are both hesitant to take a chance but I love the fact that it is Mr Italian who speaks the words of love first.

A story where beauty is not skin deep.

Amazingly worded.

*Just that I read it on Kindle and not the hardcover copy. I would have loved that though.

I knew I was going to like this book from page one and the back and forth between the characters, "absolutely not. Stay right there.’ That got his attention. No woman had ever spoken to him like that before. It was… well, it was interesting." Matteo may come off cocky, arrogant, and self-absorbed but he's actually a really caring guy, "you should have told me what you were feeling. Talked to me, Ivy. Not run out into the road. Especially with your leg being so damaged. It could have been serious for you too." Personally in thought Ivy and Matteo were perfect for each other, "you need convincing? You are a woman and I am a man and there are things we could do that will make us feel amazing .’ Scudding his fingers through his chestnut-coloured hair, he shook his head. ‘Mio Dio, this is the hardest I have ever had to work to get a woman to kiss me. Ever." I really did enjoy this book.

Sorry but Ivy was a cold, miserable, stuffy, robot-like character and I found it difficult to engage with her sadly, and the initial premise simply did not ring true to me. The overreaction to what was clearly someone else’s idea of a joke made no sense. (That is in no way to undermine the importance of image for any healthcare provider!)

From the very beginning, Ivy treats Matteo (a renowned renal surgeon), like a naughty schoolboy. It becomes evident very quickly that he bears no guilt whatsoever for the appearance of a photo of his naked butt on social media. She behaves with no respect and is more like a prim Victorian schoolmistress than a professional lawyer. This initial scene just ruined the story for me as Ivy’s behaviour lacked all credibility.

Their agreement, that he would attend the training (and I share Mattel’s disbelief that it needed 4 full days. I’ve delivered senior management strategic planning in less time!) and she would shadow him was great. The revelation she had a fear of blood and physical weakness, but stupidly refused to acknowledge the problem, or his offer of a seat - leading to her fainting in the theatre was just utterly beyond belief. As a total professional, there is no way she would have let her silly pride overwhelm her fears of disrupting a serious operation. At that point, I wouldn’t have blamed Matteo if he’d just blown her off. His behaviour was exemplary in comparison.

Finally, her refusal to get involved simply irritated me. I just didn’t buy her motivation and I didn’t believe something so supposedly ingrained would be magically cured by hard words from her sensible PA.

As always, LG writes beautifully and her book is easy to read. I loved Matteo and found his back story was so much more credible in explaining his attitude and behaviour. His willingness to trust himself and therefore Ivy, was much more convincing than Ivy only succumbing to reality when her PA intervened. Sorry I didn’t enjoy it but I am clearly in a minority. This could have been a really great story if the melodrama had been dialled back. Really disliked the mother and her part in the story was very unsatisfactory.

I find it difficult to rate this book as it is well written and I did read it all the way through and LG is a fabulous author whose books I normally love! I was just so disappointed because my expectations had been so high. 2.5 stars.

Tempted by Her Italian Surgeon is a nice, clean read. There is a tiny bit of raciness but this story is more about the relationship developing between Matteo and Ivy. Ivy and Matteo meet when a racy picture of him hits the Internet and the name of the hospital he works as a top surgeon is visible in the shot. They start out as combatants and work their way towards more. Matteo spends most of his time completing renal surgeries on children and he is good at it. Ivy spends her time being a newly minted top attorney for the hospital. As these things go they are at cross-purposes which anyone else in information security like myself will tell you we try to secure things in a way that is the least disruptive to the end-users but sometimes it just does not work out that way. But, enforcement of these things usually takes up everyone's time and energy and no one knows this more than Matteo and he goes into this kicking and screaming and comes out of it with a new friend and possibly more.

There was one things that surprised me with this story. I have been reading these Harlequins quite a bit lately and started to see a formula for some of them. I thought this one would fall into the story line where both want to stay as far away from a relationship and love as possible and as the story progressed we would learn why. The end would have them both face their fears and eventually they would fall in love and move to Italy and I would get to do a bit of armchair travel in my favorite country outside of the U.S. We would see Matteo work through things with his family and we would meet everyone and see why he is the way he is and there would be a happily ever after. This story is not that kind of story and it is worth the read to see how the author takes things differently. If you are looking for a clean, modern romance this is the book. TEMPTED BY HER ITALIAN SURGEON by author Louisa George is a May 2015 release by Harlequin Medical Romance series.

Matteo Finelli ends up in Hospital lawyer Ivy Leigh’s office when his naked butt is splashed all over the internet. Damage control was Ivy’s job as the hospital didn’t want negative publicity overtaking all the good work it was doing.

But Matteo didn’t have time or the inclination to do what Ivy suggested, so he counter-attacked with his own strategy which Ivy agreed to. But it meant spending time together in close proximity with the sexy Italian surgeon. Was Ivy up for it? Because they had sizzling attraction between them which took their passion to its fruitful ending.

Now, after a fling, would Ivy consider Matteo as a life-long commitment? After all Ivy was running away from anything serious. And would Matteo wait for Ivy to make up her mind?

TEMPTED BY HER ITALIAN SURGEON is a romance filled with medical drama. A reader would stay hooked to the story till the last page. It has that momentous impact by all the emotion depicted in this romance. Another shimmering and mesmerizing romance full of breathtaking emotions from author Louisa George.

Highly recommended for all readers of medical romance.

Fun, entertaining medical romance, with touching family issues, and lessons in social media conduct.
When Ivy Leigh (I know, did her mother not like her, or what's up with the name?!) meets Matteo Finelli, the sparks are flying. Not necessarily the best kinds, they don't seem to be able to agree on one single issue. The game is on, competitions are declared, and the bickering is off. While facing the challenges tossed to each other, the attraction takes root, despite the fact that neither of them are on the market for a relationship. But the pull for each other is strong, and when, after several encounters they end up together on road trip up to northern England, and they get to know each other better, deeper feelings steps into the play.
Both Ivy and Matteo have their issues to deal with, past hurt, disappointments, broken trust. While sharing with each other, healing starts to take place.
While an entertaining romantic story, with constant banter and fun ribbing, there's also lessons in difficult family dynamics, dangers of sharing in social media, the importance of organ donation, not to mention in trust, honesty, and love

Matteo Finelli is a renal surgeon who has a photo of his backside with "Dr. Delicious. downloaded unknown to him so its Ivy Leigh as house Attorney to address the problem. a lovely story of a dedicated doctor an attorney who has family issues and suffers with a limp that she tries to hide. Louise George, shows you a little medical and lots of intense attraction between Matteo and Ivy. When he takes her home when her mom is ill,she realizes she loves him, but love isn't easy and a few struggles are there but there is a HEA. A great story and a hot doctor.

A very subtle story, i must say. Very light reading. Small book, 200 pages.
Not one of those that keep you absorbed and eye glued to the book, not something that'll make you laugh or cry or shocked or any emotion outrageous. I personally like those books that make me react. In an emotional way or furious way. It just helps me believe that i am a part of the book. But this one was too simple for a reader like me. Though i gave it a try. Not that i regret the same because 200 pages and two days didn't really waste any of my time. It was as i said a light read.

This was an OK read for me. This is more Battle of Wills than Enemies to Lovers, and I enjoyed the emotional back story of both hero and heroine. That said, I wanted more of a Black Moment for the hero. The heroine has one - him...not so much.

"Tempted By Her Italian Surgeon" by Louisa George is a wonderful Medical Romance. Even if you don't like Medical Romances this was a fun, quick, wonderful story. We have Ivy Leigh, who is in charge of hospital ethics. She is a no nonsense woman who enjoys her work. Enter Matteo Finelli who is a pediatric transplant surgeon who doesn't always do things to protocol but gets the job done, and knows his work. Put the two together and some very interesting things happen. There is more to the story especially when Ivy joins Matteo in surgery for the first time and faints on the floor.

Many, many great parts to this book, and a definite MUST READ.
