He broke her heart to save her future. Now the past calls him back.
As an undocumented and outlawed Time Traveller, Samuel Foranmade a heartbreaking and impossible choice — abandon the only woman he's ever loved to prevent a future that could destroy them both. He never expected that choice to leave a legacy behind.
16 years later he discover's the truth Aurelia Darrow kept hidden from him.
Drawn back into her world, he must face the woman who he abandoned, who learned to survive without him. But some wounds refuse to heal, and some loves refuse to stay buried.
To save his family, he’ll have to choose between the laws of time... and the legacy of the heart he never stopped loving.
She swore she’d never fall for him. He swore he’d never betray her. Time makes liars of them both.
An 18+ Second chance, interconnected standalone Time Travel Fantasy Romance novel.
ALL THE STARS!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️all the fucking stars!!!
Oh my heart! OH MY FUCKING HEART!! Truly devastatingly beautiful and the last 15% had my tears streaming! I have no tears left to cry! Fuck! How has this author done it to me again!!! I absolutly LOVED the time travelers tongue, but to write a second book and it be a hit as much as the first is truly incredible!
And they’re so different too! No copy and paste here.
It was a beautiful second chance romance. I love how the characters are so mature and deal with things in a proper adult way. The sex scenes were so well placed and so damn realistic with Ari having her insecurities because yes, as women, we do get in our heads and put pressure on ourselves to perform out of fear we offend or upset the potatoe that’s lying on top of us! 🤣 so this was a great representation of realistic sex scenes.
How Sam dealt with Ari, loved her, yearned for her, did his absolute best every fucking time had me swoooooooning! And don’t get me started on how he approached fatherhood to two 16 yr olds!! 🥹 Sam was amazing, funny, sarcastic, hawt! And I just love how painful it was for him not being able to go back and change it. I love how he didn’t get what he wanted and had to heal from that.
“I forgive you, Sam. It’s time you forgive yourself” — ahhhhh 😭😭😭
The time travel was so good! It felt complex yet so simple to understand and I’m not sure that makes sense? 🤣
I was squealing when other characters I’ve gotten to know over the other books popped up. I love Sam and Rafe’s relationship. It’s so real, organic and believable!
The last part of this book broke my fucking heart! Shred it apart! Tore it into tiny pieces and scattered them in the universe. I don’t think I will heal from that until I get THAT book!
Ari was PERFECTION! Perfectly imperfect. I loved how she had a “mom bod” and she was still fucking stunning regardless! Author did soo good with research on those topics and how women can feel with their post pregnancy bodies and abandonment issues. Just the subtle tug of clothes, or sucking in, or not being able to feel pleasure cause you’re worried with how you look ect I’ve read too many novels where post pregnancy bodies are just skimmed over. Ari was super realistic and I love how she had the ability to make Sam grovel without out giving him a hard time. It was magic! It wasn’t drawn out and dull. At no point was I bored and left skimming.
The girls were incredible! They were different. They didn’t sound the same. They didn’t feel like they were just plonked in. They added sooo much value to the story and the character development and I just love Sam as a daddy. I loved the glimpses of the future with Maeve and Aric! What a turn of events that was!!!
Truly fantastic read. I honestly don’t know how this author has done it to me again! The painful part is is that I have to wait until 1st December for Cal’s story because what the fuck happened to Cal! 😭 who hurt you boo😭
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
I’m incredibly grateful I had the privilege of receiving an ARC of this beautiful book. Honestly, I’ll read absolutely anything that J. L. B. Harvey writes, because by now I just know it’s going to be a masterpiece.
The first book, The Time Traveller’s Tongue, was my number one book of 2025, so of course I went into this one with expectations.
The Time Traveller’s Legacy has everything. The two main characters are incredibly relatable, their chemistry is unbelievable, and yes—there’s smut (even more than in the first book, thank you veryyyyy much). But beyond that, every theme in this book makes you feel exactly what the characters are feeling.
The way it deals with grief? Wow.
One thing that really stood out to me—and that I personally loved—was that the story is mostly told from Sam’s POV, and wow, it works so well.
In The Time Traveller’s Tongue, the story focused on Raf helping Thealina find herself again. In this book, we follow Sam, Raf’s brother, who returns to the love of his life, Aurelia, after 16 years… only to discover he’s now the father of two beautiful 17-year-old twins.
And Aurelia?
She died a week ago. So Sam does the only thing he can do: he goes back in time to try to save the incredible, beautiful Aurelia.
Aurelia, meanwhile, is deeply self-conscious. The last time Sam saw her, she was young, everything seemingly perfect. Now she has stretch marks, bumps, stomach fat - the marks of life lived. And Sam? Sam thinks she’s more beautiful than ever.
Watching Sam gently help Aurelia tear down the walls she’s built around herself was one of my favorite parts of the book. He helps her feel like herself again. To feel beautiful. To let herself be vulnerable. Because for the first time in a long time, she’s not alone.
A big part of the story is Sam trying, and I mean reallyyyyyyyy trying, to earn back Aurelia’s trust, and the love of their twins, Mia and Mira. The family dynamics are raw, emotional, and so beautifully written. You feel their anger, their love, their confusion, their pain… all of it.
And then there’s that chapter.
Trying very hard to avoid spoilers here, but let me just say: it absolutely broke me. I’m talking full-on sobbing, curled up on the couch in the fetal position. And I loved every second of it!
It broke me and somehow rebuilt me into a different person using the pieces of who I used to be.
I adore J. L. B. Harvey’s writing, and I already cannot wait for Cal’s and Mia’s book. I just know this is going to end up being one of my favorite reads of the year.
I’m so incredibly grateful that I was given the privilege of receiving an ARC of this book. After reading The Time Travellers Tongue, I fell in love with J.L.B Harvey's writing and storytelling.
We meet Sam in The Time Travellers Tongue. In this story, Sam made a heartbreaking decision to abandon the love of his life, Aurelia, to protect her, only for Aurelia to have a secret of her own. 16 years later Sam discover's Aurelias secret and adapts to a new life whilst trying to earn Aurelia's trust back whilst Aurelia is fighting the demons in her head not only if she can forgive him but her perception of her body image.
The chemistry between these characters is undeniable, and you just can't wait any longer for them to finally resist the temptation. Sam is your typical possessive man, but in all the right ways. The way he worships Aurelia is just *chefts kiss*. Aurelia, she is so relatable to most of the women out here doing life. I loved how we got characters from The Times Travellers Tongue, but it makes it easy for those to understand the back story of the previous book for those who have not read it.
The book will make you feel every emotion alongside the character. The writing was beautiful and well written. The book’s exploration of body image and rejection is both honest and deeply moving, making it easy to connect with the characters on an emotional level.
The feels, well; you'll cry, you'll be screaming and kicking your feet, you'll laugh, and then you'll be ugly crying 😢
I don't want to give too much spoiler in my review, but if you do anything today, please make it so that you start this book as I guarantee you'll love it. Thank you to the author, J.L.B. Harvey for the ARC opportunity.

Genre: Fantasy Romance Pages: 376 Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Spice: 🌶🌶🌶 Series or Standalone: interconnected Standlone, Book 2 in The Unbound Fates Series Tropes or Themes: Shifters, Journal flashbacks, Fated Mates, Body Insecurities, Second Chance Romace, He Loves Her More, Undocumented Traveller, Forced Separation, Ripple Effect.
This is book 2 in a series of interconnected standalone novels and has some mild spoilers for book 1 but definitely could be read without needing to pick it up.
Firstly check your trigger warnings this addresses strong issues like abandonment issues, body image insecurities and has a higher more graphic level of sexual descriptions.
Sam and Aurelia, our star crossed lovers for this book. I won’t say to much as the key parts of this story are definitely all spoilers but you are essentially following Sam as he tries to fix a decision he was forced to make 16 years prior and find his way back into his eternal loves life.
The beauty of this story is that you are drip feed this insanely interesting fantasy world around the man story, time travel and what consequences that holds as well as accepting what you can and can’t change. There are other factors like fated loves, elemental powers, creatures from another realm and the existence of the hierarchy in power and you learn and experience all of this essential from one location just by following the main characters. It had me enthralled.
Sam was my favourite character in book 1 and that continues he is awesome and I felt every moment his journey in this one. The author has a beautiful voice in her writing and it feels like reading a real world story set in this dark and gritty fantasy world. Where you can see the effects of these real world issues and the consequences and the healing but all brilliantly packaged in this interesting world.
The characters make it, the world sells it and the authors ability to use such strong issues to make the story feel real and personal. The sexual scenes enhanced the characters and the story which is exactly what I enjoy with these types of books (they are detailed, graphic and plentiful though so just prepare if you’re not used to that!)
Overall I’ve fallen in love with this writers style and voice and I’m excited to continue in this world with further stories promised in the future! A must read author for me at the moment.
This book will make you CRY and you'll have the best time 😅
If you haven't read the first book, The Time Traveller's Tongue, first of all - why not? It's a masterpiece. Saying that, this does read as a standalone so if you have any triggers etc associated with the first book no need to worry as all the info you need will be provided to understand The Time Traveller's Legacy and there's even a recap on what you need to know at the beginning!!
If you have read The Time Traveller's Tongue, you can expect all of the same humour, whimsy, time travel dilemmas and emotional devastation in The Time Traveller's Legacy (a bit more emotional devastation in my opinion) and of course more Thealina and Rafe! But this book has a cosier feel which I loved 😍
In every romantasy book I read I always love the "funny side character" and wish that I could know more about their story and what's hiding beneath the surface and thats exactly what The Time Traveller's Legacy is! Sam is as hilarious as always but we get a deeper dive into his character and especially his relationship with Aurelia
Sam had to leave Aurelia for 16 years (for good reason) and this book starts at the point where he can return to her. In between chapters we get to read letters that Sam wrote to Aurelia over the years where they couldn't be together, I always loveeee this in a book! They were so romantic and devastating 😭
Aurelia is understandably fucking raging at Sam since he left with no explanation which means we get a good amount of grovelling which I am HERE for!!
The book takes you on a journey of Sam and Aurelia reconnecting and it was so beautiful to read 😭
I have left out some MAJOR parts of the story from this review because I loved being surprised by certain parts, but I will say there is a trope in this book that I normally hate but I absolutely loved it here!!
I am soooo excited for the rest of the books in the series!
Thanks so much to J. L. B. Harvey for providing me with an ARC 🥰🥰 easily my fav read of the year so far!
I received an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. This was my second time ARC reading for JLB Harvey, and let me start this by saying I enjoyed every minute of it. (until the end, of course. If you know, you know.) This story was highly anticipated for me. I couldn’t wait for Aurelia and Sam’s story. I hoped it would be full of angst and longing, and this author did not disappoint. Sam was a beloved character for me when I read The Time Traveler’s Tongue. Sam is witty, patient, the right amount of possessive, and does everything for the right reasons. One thing about this author is that she writes perfect men. I don’t mean robotic, idealistic caricatures. She writes men with flaws, scars, foul mouths, dirty thoughts, skilled tongues, and the best intentions. Sam is all of those things and more. This story starts with an indecisive Sam setting off to finally find Aurelia in the hopes of winning her forgiveness and love back. When he arrives at her home, Sam gets far more than he bargained for. The rest of the story follows Sam as he desperately tries to hold on to his new life. The love story between him and Aurelia is so honest. The time that was robbed from them and those they love is heartbreaking. There were many times during this book that had me clutching my metaphorical pearls. I was thoroughly kept on my toes. The fear of time consequences is ever-present and foreboding. I love the inner dialogue of these characters and the humor they display, even in the most inappropriate moments. The way JLB Harvey writes her dialogue brings her characters and their personalities alive. The world created is so intriguing; she makes you crave more and more. I love the easter eggs left here and there, and potential couples we may get books for. I can’t wait for more heartwrenching, gut-punching stories guaranteed to make my heart sing. I’m going to go curl up in my bed with my puppy and cry myself to sleep now.
After absolutely devouring the Kingdom of Zolandra series, I was so excited to discover her next series The Unbound Fates.
The first book in the series The Time Travellers Tongue really felt like such a cathartic experience for many reasons and yet was still immersed enough in fantasy to not be too heavy. After reading this I was very excited to receive an arc from this lovely author for the next in the series The Time Travellers Legacy.
Sam, our MMC we met briefly in Tongue, has been through so much and is then thrown into a brand new life he did not know existed and has to reconcile the choices he made to get this new life and the time and experiences he missed and will never get back.
One of the things I love about this author is how she weaves all of her characters into one world so you will often get brief glimpses of characters from her other books in each separate story. Like seeing an old friend again!
Another thing I love, especially in this book is the body positivity. All too often the "curvy' FMC's shape referenced too much and for me it becomes less about body positivity and more about highlighting it to the point of it being her whole personality. With Legacy the FMC is relatable, she is older, has had children and no longer feels the way she did when she was younger. She is insecure and vulnerable when Sam comes back into her life, but all he sees is the life the she been through to get her to that place, which I found really empowering.
It's hard to talk about the story without giving spoilers, so pick it up and give it a read. It is filled with beautifully written characters and plot twists you definitely will not see coming. I can't wait for the next one!!!
Thank you so much to J.L.B Harvey for the opportunity to read the ARC of The Time Travellers Legacy! Having not read book of the series I was a little worried about reading this ARC however, she has made it clear you do not have to have read the first book and has also concluded a little rundown of the previous book to make a few things make sense without any major spoilers.
I have to say, I really enjoyed this book and I will absolutely be going back and reading the first, and probably the other series too since it does seem like it somewhat links to this new series!
I LOVED the family dynamic of these characters, really enjoyed the love and adoration they all had for each other even with being a little apprehensive when Sam joins them again. And honestly ever mama needs to be worshipped and loved the way Sam does with Ari because I know we've all felt that post baby body shame spiral.
My heart absolutely GUTTED for them all after that one chapter, no spoilers so you'll just have to read it to know what I mean and honestly I absolutely recommend you do!
What a fantastic book, truly worth the read and incredibly enjoyable. Very well written and has definitely made me want to read literally anything else J.L.B Harvey has written and will write.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (6 stars, because 5 simply isn’t enough) Thank you to the author for sending me a ARC of this book which’ll be out on the 1st May 2026 I absolutely devoured The Time Traveller’s Legacy and I mean could not put it down devoured. From start to finish, this book had me completely wrapped up in its world, its characters, and every emotional twist it delivered.
As the second installment in The Unbound Fates Series, it doesn’t just continue on from The Time Traveller’s Tongue — it deepens it in ways that hit incredibly hard. The themes of body image and rejection are explored so honestly and painfully that I found myself feeling every moment alongside the characters. It’s rare to come across a story that handles such heavy, personal topics with this level of rawness and care.
I laughed, I hurt, I felt completely undone at times — and that’s exactly what made this book so unforgettable. The emotional depth paired with the gripping storyline is just… wow.
If you’re looking for a sequel that not only lives up to the first book but elevates everything — this is it. I’m already counting down until I can get my hands on the next one.
Completely obsessed. Completely wrecked. Completely worth it
This Book has my heart ! Infinity stars ! Sam And Ari were over 16 years ago (both so in love)but he has a secret he was protecting her from Ava who blackmailed him, that she would out him to the athorities as a dual blessed with water and earth powers.. If he didn't make his brother Rafe marry her ... He thought he was protecting (Ari) but she also kept a secret from him as well .... once he goes back and finds out what his choice cost him he can never get back the time he lost completly. Though he would , but there could be irreparable consequences to erase all the hurt he caused. In his quest to win her heart back he goes through a huge journey to repair what he did to her. Sam is such a heartbreakingly beautiful soul . I am so happy to go through it all with him and his family . Ari 's journey to self love and healing was amazing . I felt like I was there with her choices and traveling in Time with Sam and her pretty big Secret ! I need all the books of these characters ( Maeve and Mira ) so amazing ... don't want to spoil it but this book needs to be on shelves and It should be a TV series it is soo good .... love and Time travel for the win♡♡♡♡
I really did like this story. It was sweet and wimsical. There is not much world building but it made it more accessible as someone who cannot see it in my mind, but it also made one focus on the story and feelings between Sam and Ari. Their road to recovery, to love, go get back what they lost. It is a story about a love that runs deep, betrayal that has cut deep and needs to be mended and forgiven, finding each other again and learning about life as a family. It is about learning to love the changes in ones body as time has gone by and you are not who you ones where, with “flaws” that you should love as changes in our body is natural. There is one chapter that broke my heart though there was a meaning behind it but it felt unfair. I love the authors writing style, she made me want to keep on reading and when I had to put the story down it was on my mind, just as the first book did. I loved that we get to hear more about Rafe and Thea. It is stories i most definitely will be reading again and will be reading the next when it comes out.
4.5 ⭐️ A mind bending time travel romance from a talented author (who at this point is an auto buy for me). As The Time Travellers Tongue was one of my favourite reads so far this year, I was super excited to receive an ARC of the second instalment in the series.
This is a touching second chance romance which truly pulls on your heart strings and the journey poor, bruised Ari and Sam go through to reunite proper was incredibly realistic. The chemistry between these two characters was tangible with some of the best love scenes I’ve read. And Sam, my man!! This author certainly knows how to write an MMC.
As I’m being very careful not to spoil this book, I will say that in parts this book is both tender and heart breaking (I was a literal weepy mess). As in The Time Travellers Tongue, the way JLB Harvey weaves the threads of the story is both captivating and refreshing and the ending left me just hopeful enough. I can honestly say I cannot wait for the next instalment.
Am I going to rush to read all of this author’s back catalogue? Damn straight I am.
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this ARC and my thoughts are honest and my own.
Thank you to J.L.B. Harvey for allowing me to be one of the ARC readers of this book. This is my 1st book by this author & I wasn't sure what to expect, but the synopsis sounded good. Without giving too much away, this definitely leans heavier towards being a romance/love story with fantasy woven carefully throughout & my 1st which gives so much detail in certain places. I've nothing I can compare this to, which left me thinking on how to review it. There's something totally relatable to the FMC, being a mum, having all the body marks that come with pregnancy, but also the emotional pull, the self doubt & 'hiding' we do due to body dysmorphia. Sam has his work cut out to win Ari back & he doesn't give in, he doesn't push too much, but also doesn't allow those nagging voices in Ari's head to stop her from action. The Fates can be cruel at times & I found towards the end of this book I was on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster. I hadn't read the previous book, but it didn't make me feel I was missing information, there's enough back story to allow you to understand the characters.
Well you have done it again Jo you have made me cry and broken and healed my heart
This is Sam and Ari's book, Sam is Rafe's brother from the time travelers tongue,
How can you fix someon that you broke while you tried to protect them as well, that is what Sam has to do, he is such a green flag golden retriever guy, the way he see's her insecurities about herself and her body and will do anything to prove how beautiful she is to him,
Ari is hurt by what Sam did he broke her in ways he didn't even know he had, does she feel like she can trust him? No, does she make him prove himself? Yes, does she make him grovel? Hell yes, the yearning, heartbreak, found family in this is everything,
This is overall a beautiful heartwarming second chance love story with all the emotions and some plot twists that will hurt, it has sensitive topics like body confidence issues which are wrote very true and beautiful, I couldn't put this down once I started it so be warned get your snacks drinks and tissues because you won't be moving till you finish it.
I was very lucky to get this as an Arc read. Thank you for giving me the opportunity to read this.
Sam and Aurelia’s story is a beautiful second-chance romance full of heartbreak, trust, and a deep yearning that honestly tore my heart apart at times. Sam refusing to give up on her — and the way his grovelling played out — felt unexpected but completely understandable.
The story is full of twists and turns with magic woven throughout, and the family dynamics made the whole world feel immersive and easy to connect with. I loved how the letters were incorporated, adding deeper insight into Sam’s thoughts and their relationship.
This book had me on a full emotional rollercoaster 🎢 and I felt every moment. It’s so well written, and I can’t wait to read The Time Traveller’s Tongue next.
“My love for you is eternal” perfectly sums up this story. I really cant wait to read more!
ARC Review - I did this as an arc and as someone who hadn’t read the first one, I must say I need to go back and read it! Especially in time for the next one!!!! I had a massive fondness for Sam, in a world where girls are self conscious about their bodies especially after having babies softened my heart in the right ways. He tentatively cared for her and showed her so she was perfect in every way. If only all men were like this!! (Please don’t come for me!!) The book explored forgiveness and true fondness of the heart, even after being apart. It was so sweet to read. Anyway, the ending… let’s talk about that. I’m not a crier by any stretch, especially when it comes to books. I might get a lump in my throat and that’s it. But erm.. I was sobbing for at least 15 minutes or so so yeah thanks J 🥲🫶

This book gave me all the feelings. There’s so much longing, love, and pain all at once, and I was hooked on Sam and Ari’s story from the start. I love second chance romance when it’s done like this, where you can really feel how much was lost and how hard it is to find your way back.
The relationships, especially the family dynamic, meant a lot to me. It felt real, messy, and beautiful at the same time. And Ari… I really appreciated how her insecurities about her body after having kids were written, it felt very real.
The time travel was also done really well. Not too complicated, but still enough to add tension and consequences. And yeah… that part at the end… I was not okay 😭
A very emotional and beautiful story.
Thank you so much J.L.B for letting me be a part of your team. ❤️🌺
Just what I was looking for at the right time. The love story was brilliant.. everything you want in a man the way he adores everything about her lumps bumps and all. The way he loves. ( sex scenes 😘) There’s magic, heartbreak, love, loss all beautifully written. The way he wins back her heart, The way he embraces been a dad to two sixteen year olds, The family dynamic really resonated with me and the loss had me holding back tears, the book brings out all the different emotions and I was right there with the characters all way through. My first book from this author I have already downloaded time travellers tongue to enjoy. Thankyou for sending the ARC and can’t wait to read more of your books!! #J.L.B Harvey

After falling in love with the time travellers tongue i ran, no sprinted, to sign up for arc on Sam book! how in the hell has this author done it to me again. i am sobbing! my poor little heart! i was pining, then giggling, kicked my feet a few times, shed a tear or two and then boom… the flood hates open on THAT plot twist! PERFECTION! At the time i didn’t see it coming, now I’m processing it all fits together so perfectly! i am broken. but gosh sam as an mmc, holy shit damn! the way that man LOVES on Ari has ruined me! completely ruined and now i am DYING for Cal’s book. Jlb harvey is an auto-buy author for me. shes never let me down. superbly written, hooked from beginning to end and emotions all over the place 😭
I was lucky enough to receive an ARC copy, and that alone felt special.
I loved Book 1 of this series and I didn't know what to expect for Book 2. This story is very different, but just as emotional and beautifully written. It's the ultimate second chance romance.
What stands out for me with this author is her deep understanding of real-life insecurities and feelings. She writes beautifully strong female characters, but also shows that even with that strength, they can hurt and be filled with self-doubt. In certain parts of the book it feels less like fiction, and more like being seen.
The last 15% left me a blubbering mess, and Sam and Ari have stolen my heart. Really looking forward to the rest of this series.
This story stole my heart and ripped my soul apart!
The Time Traveler’s Legacy was a complete 180 from The Time Traveler’s Tongue, but the pull was just as strong. The depth these characters portray is both brutal and immersive. The yearning that bleeds through Sam in every chapter is a reminder that we need to stop ignoring the green flags in our romances.
Aurelia’s real-life struggles with body image, motherhood, and womanhood as a whole felt like a love letter to readers who face those same internal battles every day.
This isn’t like book one in the interconnected series, but it will absolutely leave you wanting more. I cannot wait to continue with these characters and this world!
I received this book as an arc and I am so blessed to have been able to read this early! J.L. is an auto buy author for me. Her writing speaks to my soul in ways I can’t explain. I went into this book knowing I was probably going to cry a lot. Also knowing that I was going to grow. Boy was I right.
This book was beyond what I can put into words in this review. The way that she wrote about the FMC self-confidence issues made me feel like she was talking directly to me. The way that the MMC loves the FMC is something that I wish I could see in my lifetime. That’s why I read and that’s why I love this book. This book broke me and put me back together. This is going to be in my top 3 books of the year!!
Holy freaking heck! This book... this bookkkk... OMG!! The feelings I felt reading this were next level. I can't thank the author enough for 1. selecting me to ARC read this and 2. for writing such an incredible book.. well books. This is the second one in the series with more planned and I cannot bloody wait!!
I laughed.. a lot! I cried.. a lot! I swooned.. a lot! I got a little.. a lot.. hot under the collar 😏😅 I cannot recommend this book enough! Sam is absolutely incredible, green flags EVERYWHERE! And honestly the raw emotions this book pulls out.. ughhh 🫠
This is easily one of the best books I've read so far and I fear it may ruin me for future books 😬. The first book was amazing, this one is on another level. Please give them both a read 🖤
I normally dont love second chance romances unless they are well done and this was! I didnt read The Time Travellers Tongue but I will be going back and doing so soon.
This book was an amazing representation of how women can lose themselves after being pregnant and how they struggle to see themselves. The chemistry between Sam and Aurelia was amazing and I was on my toes the entire time until they finally gave in.
This Definitely took me on a journey and I was here for it! This was also the first time travelling book I have read and it was so well written that I didnt feel confused or having to go back and re read parts.
After reading the time travelers tongue i fell in love with this world, and im so happy Sam got his story. Did it have me up and down with emotions YES. definitely hits the feels and omg why did you have to hurt my little heart like that? Just the cute little nicknames he has for his girls *cubs* the twist in this had me squealing like a little fan girl, but no wasnt happy with that? you just had to throw in the twist, just when you think its going so good , its a nice path....... NOPE....... just had to twist it. was it a good twist YES .. BUT NOT THE POINT!!!!! SO PLEASE I WANT /NEED MORE!!!.. and thank you for this world 🥰😍

Are these sad tears or happy tears, I truly dont know. THIS BOOK was everything I wanted it to be and way more. The way I connected with Aurelia on SO MANY levels hurts and heals in the same breathe. The intense soul mates pull her and Sam have is felt from beginning to the end and the YEARNING and dare I say WHIMPERING, stopppppppp. JLB Harveys way with time travel is honestly done so so well! I will never shut up about this book. If your a mama, grab your box of tissues... Im not kidding. I refuse to talk about details, you just need to read it. Of course, you should absolutely start with the first book.
I had the privilege and high honour of being an ARC reader for this wonderful book. It held my attention from the very beginning with the hilarious opening line. J.L.B. Harvey is a phenomenal writer, and you can feel the love and hard work she has put into this work leap off the page. I truly enjoyed reading this book, and I found myself surprised by how much I enjoyed it when I finished because my tastes do not lean towards the Romantasy genre. That would be my only critique of this book, I would have preferred more fantasy elements. But I strongly urge all true fans of Romantasy to buy and read this book, you will not be disappointed.
Oh Sam 🫶🏻 this boy has my heart and soul. I fell in love with Sam when I read reading book 1. Just his quirky comments and the fact you could tell he had a ton of surprises and secrets. If I could rate it god tier I would and I feel this entire series may be just that. GOD TIER. TTTL healed a part of me I didn’t know needed healing. And I hope any women who has been through what Ari has been through knows how beautiful they are pre and post parenthood. ♥️ I can’t wait to read her other series now x
Sam! I really wasn't sure what to expect but was so pleased this installment featured Sam and Aurelia. 9% in and my jaw dropped. This was full of comic relief Sam but also a tender side of him as he built up Aurelia's trust and confidence. The journal entries were a nice touch. I don't want to give anything away but I enjoyed the protectiveness and relationship with the cubs. I did not predict the twist at the end and am glad I always read the author's acknowledgements.
Thank you to the author J.L.B. Harvey for the ARC opportunity! All thoughts and opinions above are my own.
