Insightful, Practical Help for Chronic Overthinkers

This book does an excellent job of explaining why overthinking happens without making the reader feel broken or lectured. Nikola Nikolov combines clear science with real-world examples that are easy to recognize if you tend to replay conversations or spiral into “what if” thinking. What stood out most is how practical the advice is—simple tools you can actually use to interrupt mental loops and regain clarity. It’s thoughtful without being heavy, and compassionate without being vague. Very interesting explanation as to why we can get trapped in a thought loop. It makes a lot of sense that you need to understand what’s happening in your brain when you become overwhelmed by overthing, before you can take steps to to break out of that endless loop.
