Retribution
It was a time of DEATH and dying.
But the people were not afraid to die, they did not live in fear like children scared of the dark.
What did matter to them, to all of them, was HOW they died.
And where there were any doubts about a death, might there not have been a VERIFIER - not exactly a 'detective', but the closest thing they had...
-
RETRIBUTION: Frode meets an old friend who tells him about a murder in the nearby town of Ostmar.
The killer, however, has disappeared and cannot be brought to trial.
Frode visits the town, where he finds that not everything is as it first appears.... --
Set in SWEDEN, in the Late Iron Age, the FRODE books are classic detective fiction with a hint of the supernatural.
These books can be read in any order.
