Terrific conclusion to the Warrior Security series. Lark has been a recurring secondary character in the Warrior Security and Resting Warrior Ranch series. She intrigued me, as I suspected she had hidden depths, and I was excited to finally read her story.
Lark owns and runs Pawsitive Connection, a ranch for all types of rescued animals. She trains them as therapy animals and service animals. She is independent, caring, and empathetic, seeing people's needs and doing what she can to help. She came to Garnet Bend after leaving an abusive husband and parents who took his side. She's under a lot of stress because she is behind on her mortgage payments, and the grants she depends on have been denied. She needs a handyman/ranch hand, but can't afford to pay much more than room and board.
Logan is former military, has PTSD, carries guilty feelings over the death of his best friend Reid, and was hired by Warrior Security as one of their operatives. But on his first mission with them, he had an episode that could have endangered the rest of the team. Unable to trust himself, he left Warrior Security with no plan on what to do next. He has excellent communication skills and is strong, caring, and protective.
Logan stops for coffee on his way out of town and encounters Lark putting up a help-wanted poster. Logan is immediately drawn to her, while Lark realizes that Logan is exactly what she needs. With a little effort, Lark talks Logan into taking the job. The work is exactly what Logan needs - it keeps his hands and mind busy, and any PTSD episodes won't put anyone in danger.
I enjoyed watching their relationship develop. Their teamwork develops first, followed by friendship. Each has a way of spotting the other's pain or problems and coming up with solutions. I loved how Lark paired Logan and Tova, the dog. Logan learns of Lark's financial issues and helps her find ways to overcome them. Their friendship and teamwork develop into something deeper. I loved seeing Logan chip away at the walls Lark built around herself, and how Lark learned it was safe to lean on Logan.
But there is trouble brewing at Pawsitive Connections. Logan stumbles on signs that drug traffickers are using a remote part of the ranch to hide and move their drugs. With the assistance of his former colleagues at Warrior Security and the men of Resting Warrior Ranch, Logan vows to make Pawsitive Connections safe for Lark. The way they did it kept me glued to the pages as they dealt with the threat.
That's not the only danger Lark faces. She is close to losing the ranch, thanks to lost grants and an early calling of her second mortgage. She's puzzled about why grants that were shoe-ins before are suddenly being denied. Then her past comes calling, and she has more to fear than just losing her ranch. These scenes had my heart in my throat as both Lark and her animals were in deadly danger. The resolution was terrific, and I loved Tova's part in it.
I loved the appearances made by characters from previous books, both from Warrior Security and Resting Warrior Ranch. Their love and respect for Lark are evident in the surprise they had for her at the end. The arrival of Isaac and Fallon from Code Name: Leo was a surprise, but it made perfect sense once I found out why.

Warrior Security: LARK’S SONG ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️🌶️
Whenever I’m coming to the final book in a series I am always sad because I don’t want it to end, however at the same time I’m excited knowing I can come back and visit my favorite stories, characters and worlds. It’s absolutely bittersweet knowing this is the last book in the Resting Warrior Ranch/Warrior Security Series however Josie Jade gave us an amazing story to end this series. Lark Monroe has been a staple in the Warrior Security part of these series’s and I’ve been anticipating her story and it didn’t disappoint at all. Lark will help anyone and everyone she comes across and she’s able to read and anticipate what someone will need without having to tell her. She is kind, loving, big hearted, give you the shirt off her back, fiercely loyal and yet has the hardest time asking for help. She’s the type of woman to literally give you her last dime with the biggest smile on her face and never let you know she’s having problems. She’s been the place for so many of the Warrior Security men and their women to find peace and solace, but what happens when she’s the one in need? Logan Stroud has been looking for a place to land and he thought for sure Warrior Security was it when his buddy Issac Baxter set it up. However when the past he’s been trying to outrun and push down comes rearing back to the forefront of his mind will he be able to overcome it? Logan makes a hasty decision to walk away from Warrior Security, it fate refuses to allow him to leave Garnet Bend. It just so happens our favorite animal sanctuary Pawsitive Connections is in need of a Ranch Hand, in more ways than one. Landon is the strong silent type who knows when to push and when to give people their space and Lark is no exception although she does seem to awaken something inside him. When Lark starts to see her world crumbling all around her will she be able to trust in Landon whom she just met? Will both of the be able to learn when to be open and trust the other to handle difficult situations? Can Lark truly allow herself to lean on the family she has created instead of running back to a past that didn’t miss her once she left? Everything seems to fall into place until Lark’s past comes back with a nasty vengeance, and will Pawsitive Connections and its Animals survive? I felt so many emotions reading this book, but I really identified with Lark feeling like the outcast of her family and not being able to measure up. I couldn’t put this book down once I started it. This book wrapped up this entire series absolutely beautifully and has me excited to reread it all over again. If you haven’t read anything from Josie Jade I urge you to start with Resting Warrior Ranch then Warrior Security because you won’t be disappointed at all, in fact you will want to binge all the books as fast as you can. I can’t wait to see where Josie takes us next!!!!

Another terrific story
With awesome characters, humor, drama, angst, mystery, a little suspense, and some wild and crazy animals, it was another fantastic story, and great addition to this series. It's certainly a must read book and series!
Lark has been a prominent character in several of the previous stories, always the one who steps up without being asked, who will do anything to ensure everyone else is taken care of in every way, a friend to everyone, a savior for many (and not just for the humans! Lol!), as well as a wonderful woman who is obviously kind, caring, loving, selfless, and willing to help friends, strangers, or any type of animal, but just not herself. She's hiding not only her true self, but all of the recent problems that have occurred in the last several months, from everyone.
Logan has recently signed on with Warrior Security after a recommendation from a fellow soldier and friend. Everything seems to be going well, at first. After an incident that he feels is putting the others in danger, he makes the decision to leave WS and Garnett Bend. However, during a brief stop into town, that decision changed when he ran into an unknown woman who's looking for a ranch hand.
Unbeknownst to both of them, fate had just made a perfect match. With Lark's abilities to perfectly pair a human with an animal trained to assist with many different types of situations, and Logan having survived through several deployments, where he was subjected to numerous unimaginable horrors, as well as the loss of friends and brothers that he'd served with, it's not surprising that he has PTSD.
This story had many heartbreaking situations, past trauma and tragedies for both of the main characters, as well as lots of humor and animal drama that will hook you from beginning to end. I'm really happy that Lark finally got her own story, as well as a wonderful HEA for her and Logan. It's well deserved for both of them!
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.
I just wanted to add that even though I'm following the author on Amazon, I never received any notification or emails regarding the release of this book. I actually found it by accident while looking for a different book. I really wish that the books in this series (as well as this author's other series) were all included on the series page and linked together. I know that the first few books are linked together, but it seems like after 5 or 6 books, the rest of the books are not listed with the others in the series. I hate to think about how many books I might have missed because of this. I really enjoy reading the stories from this author, and would definitely prefer not to miss any. Maybe someday they'll all be grouped appropriately. Happy reading!

Not everything is as it seems with Lark. She has appeared in previous Warrior Security stories, always cheerful, caring and willing to help the scarred men and women who have come to her animal sanctuary - Pawsitive Connections. An empathetic soul, Lark understands what people need to heal and connects them with the therapy animals in her care. She has helped children, PTSD-stricken veterans and others through her programs and is well-loved in Garnet Bend for her kind and energetic nature. What no one knows is the pain she hides behind that smile.
Logan, new to the Warrior Security team, experiences a PTSD event during a mission. Convinced he will put his team members at risk, his first mission with the team is also his last. Running into Lark by chance, he decides to stay around Garnet Bend a bit longer, working as a ranch hand at Pawsitive Connections for Lark. Fixing things helps keep his hands and mind busy as he attempts to keep his PTSD from affecting others.
As he settles into the work, what he sees is a woman with too much on her plate who does nothing but work to support her animal sanctuary. With funding falling through and the sanctuary in jeopardy, Lark just continues to put more of herself into the ranch to try to find a way to save the place and animals she loves. Logan finds purpose in lightening her load as much as he can by fixing fences, learning the ropes to care for the animals and generally helping wherever he can. As Logan and Lark learn to trust each other, their facades are set aside, baring their real selves to each other. Logan's calm and accepting demeanor is a good balance for Lark's sometimes frenetic energy - they learn to rely on each other both at work and on a personal level.
Logan is a calm, steady force from the outside. While he suffers PTSD from his military days, he tends to keep that buried as much as he can and focuses on being of service to others. When he admits his perceived weakness to those around him, he realizes that it can help to share the burden. He is a loving, supportive and intelligent partner for Lark. She shows her good heart to those around her, burying the pain of past abusive relationships. As she grows to trust Logan, she opens up about her past, finally allowing herself to move forward and build new and deeper relationships.
When danger closes in, their bond will be tested, but both will learn that they are stronger than they anticipated and that sharing their troubles will make them lighter. In the end, loving relationships and a place to call home are what's important.
Four stars for this small-town romance.

Lark’s Song is the fifth and final book in the Warrior Security series by Josie Jade. This small-town romantic suspense follows the one and only Lark Monroe and former military soldier Logan Stroud. I’ve loved getting to know Lark throughout the series and seeing her make appearances in the Resting Warrior Ranch series as well. While this book can absolutely be read as a standalone, if you have the time and want to fully immerse yourself in the Warrior Security world, I highly recommend starting with book one, Lachlan.
Throughout the series, Lark Monroe has played an important role in helping others fight the battles they’re facing with the help of the rescued animals on her ranch. She owns and operates Pawsitive Connections, a safe haven where she rehabilitates rescued animals and trains them to become therapy and service animals. Lark is truly one of a kind. She has the biggest heart, always puts others first, and has a remarkable gift for matching people with the animal that best fits their needs. What no one realizes, however, is that she has struggles of her own. Haunted by her past, she works herself to the bone to prove her worth while trying to outrun painful memories.
When Lark desperately needs help around the ranch, she hangs a help wanted flyer at Deja Brew, where she meets Logan Stroud. Logan is a new recruit for Warrior Security, but after experiencing PTSD episodes during a mission, he steps away from the team to focus on his healing. Told from dual first person perspectives (Logan and Lark) LARK’S SONG follows in the wake of the arrival of former US soldier Logan Stroud. Having resigned from Warrior Security due to his ongoing PTSD, Logan headed out of Garnet Bend only to come face to face with his future in the guise of Lark Monroe. Lark owned an animal rehab ranch and was looking for some help. Logan, with no other offers, accepted the job, and found himself falling for the woman who would one day steal his heart but all was not well in Garnet Bend-Lark’s past refused to let go, and the possibility of foreclosure was always on her mind.
The world building follows several pathways as Lark struggles to keep afloat, and the small town of Garnet Bend finds itself a target in more ways than one.
The relationship between Lark and Logan begins as boss and employee but quickly turns into something more. Logan sees something in Lark that calls to his heart, while Lark struggles to keep her distance from the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we met in the previous story lines. We are reintroduced to Beckett Sinclair, Travis Hale, Ryan Cooper, as well as several characters from the Resting Warrior Ranch cross over series.
LARK’S SONG is a story of secrets and struggles, power and control, betrayal and obsession, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is edgy and intriguing; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.

Told from dual first person perspectives (Logan and Lark) LARK’S SONG follows in the wake of the arrival of former US soldier Logan Stroud. Having resigned from Warrior Security due to his ongoing PTSD, Logan headed out of Garnet Bend only to come face to face with his future in the guise of Lark Monroe. Lark owned an animal rehab ranch and was looking for some help. Logan, with no other offers, accepted the job, and found himself falling for the woman who would one day steal his heart but all was not well in Garnet Bend-Lark’s past refused to let go, and the possibility of foreclosure was always on her mind.
The world building follows several pathways as Lark struggles to keep afloat, and the small town of Garnet Bend finds itself a target in more ways than one.
The relationship between Lark and Logan begins as boss and employee but quickly turns into something more. Logan sees something in Lark that calls to his heart, while Lark struggles to keep her distance from the man with whom she will fall in love. The $ex scenes are passionate without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.
There is a large ensemble cast of familiar and energetic secondary and supporting characters, many of whom we met in the previous story lines. We are reintroduced to Beckett Sinclair, Travis Hale, Ryan Cooper, as well as several characters from the Resting Warrior Ranch cross over series.
LARK’S SONG is a story of secrets and struggles, power and control, betrayal and obsession, family and friendships, acceptance and love. The character driven premise is edgy and intriguing; the romance is seductive and intense; the characters are desperate, determined and charismatic.

This is a compelling story about two very friendly and interesting characters who have lived very difficult lives. As a result of this, they both have PTSD and find it difficult to earn a living.
Logan is a veteran who left the military with PTST after his last mission. When we first meet him, he is helping the Warrior’s Sanctuary on a mission to catch a dangerous drug gang. Since Logan has not had a PTST panic attack in six weeks, he was hoping his problem was gone.
Lark’s issue involves her parents and her ex-husband. Years ago, she had a huge confrontation with her parents when her abusive husband seriously hurt her. She never forgave her parents when they took his side and blamed her for the injury Thus Lark has not spoken or seen her parents for years.
Lark now lives alone on a huge farm where she raises, and lives with, many unusual animals who all look like strange misfit creatures. However, these animals are anything but strange. Lark impeccably trains all of them to help “broken people” like her to cope with their afflictions.
Unfortunately, during Logan’s test mission, he panics when he in the middle of a dangerous situation, and his mind strays from the mission. Instead he only sees pictures of his last mission. Thus, even though he is offered the position, Logan refuses. He knows that when his mind cannot stay on the current mission, everybody’s life is in danger.
Thus Logan decides he needs to find another job that would better fit him. This is when he meets Lark, who has no money but still needs a strong physical veteran to help with her farm and all of her animals. When she discovers that he needs a job, she manages to talk him into working for her.
This is a heartwarming story about Lark and Logan, two lonely, but extraordinarily characters who eventually become aware that they work very well together, are completely able to understand each other thoughts and somehow unconsciously know exactly what to say to help each other when they have a problem.
Sadly, this is the last book in this series, and I shall greatly miss the town, its outstanding characters and the heroic animals who all work together and help each other.

What I liked:

* Watching the meet cute, the way Lark assessed Logan instantly, the attraction the two soon felt for one another, learning their backstories, and watching their progress toward a happily ever after
* The mature honest communication between Lark and Logan and the way the supported one another
* Catching up with some of the other characters from previous books – really enjoyed the part with Fallon and Isaac picking up Gimball to be Fallon’s support-service partner
* The two parallel suspense threads that included drug smuggler/transporters and an abusive ex-husband
* The animals, their strengths and quirks, and how they played a part as therapy animals
* The small town feel and the way the community pulled together
* All of it really except…

* Carter Hollis: Lark’s ex-husband who didn’t deserve to have spent a moment of time with her

Lark Monroe and her wild menagerie of animals have made guest appearances in every book of Warrior Security, and many of the Resting Warrior Series as well. Al Pacino the el paca has been a favorite of just about everyone who's been at Pawsitve Connections, even if he does spit on everyone. It's time that Lark finally gets her HEA. She has helped so many folks in very subtle ways, that one always wondered what her story was. She's taken every single down on their luck person in and offered them a job and sometimes a safe place to land. No questions asked, even if some of the guys form Warrior Security were concerned about some of these "strays"
Logan Stroud is one of those former military guys that would most likely benefit from Resting Warrior Ranch. He's struggling with PTSD and quits a job with Warrior Security because he feels he's a liability. A chance meeting in town changes everything and he ends up working for Lark. But Logan is different, he is probably the only person that sees through the smoke and mirrors that Lark presents to the world. She's always redirecting attention away from herself. Slowly he chips away at the armor she's built around herself. For the first time, probably in her adult life she starts to lean on someone else. Oh, she fights it most the time, but Logan is steady and persistent.
This is more of a sweet romance with a little bit of suspense sprinkled in for good measure. Anyone who has read the previous books in the series know what great things Lark does, so it was really questionable why all of a sudden, she was losing grant after grant. This almost takes her to the breaking point.
Once again, I'm sad to leave Garnet Bend behind as I've really come to enjoy the characters of this small Montana town.

I was eager to learn how Lark Monroe had found herself in Montana, opening Pawsitive Connections, and the story was everything that I hoped for and more! She runs the grant and voluntary funded animal refuge not only for the animals, but to train them for assisting those in need. Finances (or lack thereof) are always an issue, but her recent worker left and she is in need of help. Timing is everything as when hanging up her help needed sign, former military Logan Stroud offers to help. Logan was hired by Warrior Security, but after a recent event, he doesn’t believe that he is ready to return to security work. As he spends time with Lark and the animals, he realizes how dire her circumstances are for her and the animals. When her loan is in jeopardy, she realizes that she needs to search for other opportunities to acquire the needed funds. A strong attraction has developed between Lark and Logan, but is he still planning on moving on? When her finances become even more dire, unless she can clear the mortgage she will lose everything. She also learns that someone is using her land for illegal activities. Her wealthy parents have never approved of her career, but she sees no other option than to contact them. Her abusive ex has contacted her, but she has no intention of allowing him back into her life. Will she come up with the money needed to save her refuge, or has her time in Montana come to an end? I have read all of Josie Jade's books and Warrior Security has been a great romantic suspense series. Lark's Song is another good addition to the bunch. Lark Monroe has been a supporting character throughout the series. She runs her animal rescue/sanctuary/service outside Garnet Bend, Montana. She loves what she does but it's exhausting. She is putting up flyers in Deja Brew when she bumps into a stranger. Logan Stroud is a man that's struggling. He's been suffering from PTSD and a friend sent him to Warrior Security thinking that it might be a good fit for a man with his skills, but his PTSD is too much for him to comfortably handle the position. Fate intervenes when he steps into a coffee shop and meets Lark. She's offering him a job that is a lot of work, little pay and no stress. Lark knows that if the guys from Warrior Security vouch for Logan, that he's a good man that needs to find himself again. As they get to know each other, they realize that they're good for each other. The problem, Lark's business is falling apart around her no matter how much she works toward moving forward. And Lark's past keeps interrupting her present life. Lark's Song stands alone in the series however characters from the previous books are featured throughout. It was told from dual person POV and was inspirational, funny, suspenseful and a bit of heat.

Lark has been a staple in Garnet Bend, running Pawsitive Connections and more than once has come to the aid of someone in need. Logan, after a mission with Warrior Security decides to leave, believing he is a liability when his PTSD rears its head. On his way out of town, he stops to get coffee and runs into Lark, neither know each other but Lark being who she is, knows Logan needs something…so she offers him a handyman job at her ranch. Not only does she give him a place to stay, work to keep him busy but a dog, Tova, to help him with his PTSD. Not only does Lark “see” Logan, Logan “sees” Lark, behind the smiles and the hand gestures, Lark needs someone she can let her walls down and share her burdens with and not judge. Both their pasts are dictating their present but there is more between them, a spark, an understanding, a common steady presence and together they are stronger.
An amazing read with some suspense, plenty of emotions, surprises and great characters from past and present. The story flowed beautifully with descriptions that were spot on and the emotional scenes gave me plenty of feels where a couple of tissues were needed. This author saved the best for last, Logan and Lark stole my heart and their epilogue…perfection.

We are back in Garnet Bend, Montana , where Warrior Security and Pawsitive Connections are located. If the reader has read previous stories in this series, you might remember Lark Monroe. Lark runs Pawsitive Connections. A place not only for rescued animals, Al Paccino, the alpaca , is one of my all time favorite rescues with a personality that will have you smile, but also for former military individuals, many suffering from PTSD.

I have rooted for my fair share of Heroes/Heroines, and every once in a while, a couple steals your heart on their journey towards a happily ever after. Lark and Logan do just that. It is in their subtly, cautious demeanor and limited expectations that draws you into their world. Lark discretely helps Logan with his PTSD. Logan gives Lark space, time and understanding to let him in. Their dynamic and mutual respect are at the forefront of their relationship. The spark and interest is obvious from the start, but it is a beautiful slow burn getting there. I love this couple!

Absolutely loved Lark's Song mainly because Lark Monroe is someone truly special. Lark and Pawsitive Connections, the animal rescue centre she owns, runs and devotes her life to, have been interwoven throughout the Warrior Security series but it is not just animals that Lark's weaves her magic around as she uses her innate ability to connect and read people training and using the animals to help and support anyone who has gone through trauma and many PTSD sufferers, from young children to military veterans.
Logan Stroud came to Montana for a fresh start hoping he could outrun his nightmares and put PTSD behind him but when the PTSD rears it's head in the middle of an op for Warrior Security he refuses to compromise others safety and quits only to find himself rescued by Lark without realising it. If you you were rooting for a couple it is Lark and Logan and they are absolutely going to carve a place out in your heart. It is a wonderful slow burn relationship, they are cautious both hiding deep seated pain Lark instinctively knows what Logan needs and subtly provides him with the support he needs to slowly believe he can find peace. Logan sees the real Lark and the pain she is hiding behind a smile and constant motion and gives her the time, friendship, respect and space to let him him. They are a beautiful pair, battered by the past but not beaten, stronger than they realise, their relationship blossoms amongst their shared humour and the crazy bunch of misfit animals they care for.

Lark gives him the space he needs to work through his PTSD, while Logan sees right through the beautiful smile she uses to hide her own pain. Their slow-burn connection feels so earned. Throw in the sanctuary setting is pure magic. Seeing former military men find peace alongside rescue animals brings so much heart to the story. And let’s be honest—Al Paccino the alpaca completely steals every scene he’s in! Then just when you feel these two are finally going to get their HEA Larks past comes crashing back to threaten everything she’s built. Lark Monroe built a sanctuary for unwanted animals she trained to work with people who have issues, putting the right animal with the right person, plus she has issues of her own she keeps buried, living alone in the farm with her animals.
Logan Stroud went to work with Warrior Security in Garnet Bend but when he panics on a job & things don't go right he quits & gets a job working with Lark she could use his help with the animals.
Logan works through his PTSD with Lark's & the animals help pulling at the heartstrings, especially when Al Paccino the Alpaca is there just love him.

What a great ending to another great series by Josie Jade. Lark's story is the conclusion of Warrior Security and the men and women of Garnet Bend. To say I will miss them is an understatement. With Lark's Song we finally get to know Lark and the sadness lurking behind her happy, carefree facade. She is a true caretaker, of people and the quirky animals she cares for. When Logan becomes her ranch hand, she slyly makes sure Tova, a PTSD dog goes home with him, and that is only one such story. She helps so many people, while drowning in problems of her own. Logan won't let her hide behind her carefree exterior when he is around and he helps her with her problems, as she helped him. When danger comes to her door, he is the man for the job and won't let this woman who he has come to care for, face it alone. As many of the Garnet Bend regulars pitch in to rebuild her burned down barn, and care for her animals while she recovers, she realizes that alone is not the way to live. It is with tears of sadness, I say goodbye to these people, but please don't miss this conclusion to 2 great series.

Beautiful book. Lots of action, moments of steaminess between them. A kindred relationship between Logan and Lark. Logan lost a good friend, a brother in arms. Lark had some scars inside and out. She didn’t let anyone in. She ran Pawsitive Connections. A place with animals all shapes and sizes who depended on her, and she depended on them. But the most miraculous thing was the way she helped people with her animals. She trained them. It was so special plus what she did for Logan. It was sneaky, but so very heartwarming.

Lark Munroe the absolute legend behind Pawsitive Connections. She is a powerhouse holding everything together on a shoestring. A woman who survived.
Logan Stroud knows the PTSD is from serving. It is always worse at night. He finds himself useful and busy in a temporary job for Lark.

The author has really either experienced or well researched therapy animals to be able to tell their story and characteristics as much as her humans. It is great that Lark finally got her story after featuring in previous novels as a much loved side character.
This story is so full of heart. It is a fitting conclusion to a wonderful protector romance series. That said, it can be read as a stand-alone novel with hea. I received an arc of this book.

Lark Munroe the absolute legend behind Pawsitive Connections. She is a powerhouse holding everything together on a shoestring. A woman who survived.
Logan Stroud knows the PTSD is from serving. It is always worse at night. He finds himself useful and busy in a temporary job for Lark.

Lark and Logan are the epitome of two people in denial to the public and not wanting to voice, in private, the issues they are facing — which make them perfect for each other. Logan recognizes he may not be a great fit for Warrior Security and finds himself at a crossroads. He ends up by chance at Pawsitive Connections where Lark is astute enough to figure out that he has PTSD and somewhat sneakily pushes a lab named Touva on him. Lark has her own financial and family issues and has been robbing Peter to save Paul for months. Logan calmly figures Lark out and gives her what her family was never able to give her – unconditional support, however that may look like. Add in the cute animals, drama on a couple of fronts, and the Warrior Security team, and what you have are two people who need and complete each other come together as only Ms. Jade can bring them together. I also love the crossover characters from Ms. Crouch’s Zodiac Tactical.

Book hangover for sure with this one. It got me all in the feels. Logan stole my heart. Tova stole my heart. Their growing bond as that precious dog helped him with his PTSD was described amazingly. I already liked Lark and the way she cunningly helped everyone and guessed she had major trauma in her past as well, but her drive and determination and sneaky ways of secretly helping people- she was amazing. Logan and her were so perfect together. I loved how intuitive Logan was when it came to Lark and vice versa. And the Warrior Security team- who knew I could fall for them more? They all rallied when the danger crested. There was love, healing, danger, suspense, and found family. All the things. And the animals- full of hilarious moments from them as their personalities were described perfectly- and yes animals have individual personalities. I highlighted so many lines in this book that hit so hard. Go read!

Lark's Song is a tune that gets stuck in your head and hums quietly in those early mornings. It's soft, steady, and digs deep. The beautiful relationship that develops between Logan and Lark comes naturally, with no fanfare. It never feels awkward, instead becoming a quiet, steady source of strength throughout the story.
The animals are the backbone of this story, carrying it seamlessly as they bring the romance and suspense together. Tova burrows quietly and deeply into your heart. You feel the pain and trauma, but at no point does it overwhelm the growing romance, the strong friendships, or the close knit township.

This is book 5 in the Warrior Security series and it features Lark Monroe and Logan Stroud. He needed to heal and she’s almost an expert at knowing what people need before they do. Except for herself, of course, and that’s where Logan comes in. They met at Deja Brew and she hired him to work at Pawsitive Connections. She’s met her match in Logan and now there’s someone who knows what she needs before she’s willing to admit it to anyone else. They make a good team and before long the attraction blossoms.
Poor Lark! She’s been through a lot and it seems her troubles are not over. Luckily Logan and the guys at Warrior Security are there for her. She soon finds out more people than she expected are there for her too! This was a fantastic story! I do admit, I shed a few tears at certain times in the story. This series doesn’t get old, it just gets better.

This book has given me all the feels. It was a fantastic ending to a fantastic series. You do not need to read all the books but the series is so amazing that you absolutely should so you can meet the other wonderful characters.
This one is about Lark who owns/runs Pawsitive Connections. An animal sanctuary she has built from the ground up for anyone suffering from PTSD or any other condition the animals can help with.
Logan Stroud shows up to work for Warrior Security, but when he feels like more of a liability than an asset he leaves. He runs into Lark looking for help at her sanctuary and he accepts. This is a slow building love story that I loved. Both Lark and Logan have their own demons they are battling but Logan will do anything to help Lark slay hers, even if it means pushing through his own.

Lark Monroe and her merry menagerie of animals from Pawsitive Connections have appeared throughout the Warrior Security series. I'm very happy we're finally getting her story. Logan Stroud is a man with demons who thought he had them under control. His first mission wth Warrior Security tells him otherwise. It had to be karma that has him stumbling into a ranch hand job at Lark's ranch. He doesn't have to plan or strategize, just follow a multitude of instructions. Lark sees through him almost immediately but slyly gives him help through the animals. Her past suddenly resurges and it seems to be bent on her destruction. Warrior Security isn't about to let that happen. If you don't lose your heart to these adorable, misfit animals, I don't know what will. As for Lark and Logan? A perfect match and an HEA!

Wow! What a way to end this series. This story is about Lark and Logan as well as all of her animals. Who does love a parrot who only says swear words or an alpaca who thinks he is the king of the barn and spits on the unworthy (in his mind) humans. Gotta love Princess Whiskers on her throne - I mean perch. Tova is totally adorable and very good at her job. Anyway, the fact that Lark came into Logan's path was meant to be. Hate that she had to come into contact with her ex but loved that the entire town came to help her when she needed it the most. So happy that Lark and Logan found their happy ending. As I said earlier, what a way to end the series but happy for all the men and women of Garnet Bends, Resting Warrior Ranch and Resting Warrior Security. FANTASTIC job Josie! I would highly recommend this book and series!

Loved this book. Lark was a survivor but not than that, a giver. She was so right for Logan but then he was a perfect match for her as well.

What a fitting end for this series. Lark is the woman who gives of herself to everyone but never asks for anything in return or even for help when it is needed. Logan is on his way out of town when a chance meeting with Lark turns his life around, in more ways than one. He helps pick up some fliers she dropped and ends up agreeing to work on her ranch.
Lark has a talent for bringing animals together with people who need help and without being obvious about it. Not only does Logan observe this happen, but she does it with him also.
Through their work at the ranch, Logan and Lark help each other to heal, and eventually she learns to let other people help her. There's many emotional moments, humor, danger, and a fun mix of animals.

It has been good to get to know Lark more, to understand her past and how it has shaped her, I wanted to hug her quite a few times reading this, she gave so much of herself and never asked for the same back, I was so glad to see Logan see into the heart of her and not let her stand on her own anymore.
I also wanted to hug Logan too, he had been through a lot and was still dealing with so much, working for and with Lark gave him a purpose and I loved how she went about helping him. I believed in their connection and chemistry, liked the support they had, an how they worked together to handle everything that was going on around them. I am voluntarily leaving this review after receiving an ARC.
