A High Value Goon : “A Blake Karrington Collection”

Rate this book
Blake Karrington Presents is back with a collection that’s all about grown-man energy—strength, wisdom, and heart. A High Value Goon delivers stories of men who know the streets but live by a higher code. These aren’t boys chasing clout; these are real men who protect, provide, and stand tall with character.

Every tale is penned by Blake, bringing you drama, passion, and the kind of love-and-loyalty choices that hit home. These goons may have street ties, but they’re not stuck in the trap—they’re building, leveling up, and showing what it means to be a man worth standing beside.

💥 Inside you’ll step

• A Thug Worth Fighting The Micah and Kelly Story – When love meets loyalty, will she ride for her man?
• Love The Neville and Lauren Story – A grown romance tested by trust, temptation, and the streets.
• Baby Please Come Home To The Rico and Charmaine Story – A man torn between the block and the woman who holds his heart.

This isn’t just storytelling—it’s a vibe for women who want their fiction real, raw, and rooted in the code of grown love and respect. A High Value Goon will have you turning pages late into the night, nodding at the truths, and craving the next volume.

Blake Karrington is more than an author. He’s a storyteller who places his readers in action-filled moments. It’s in these creative spaces that readers are allowed to get to know his complex characters as if they’re really alive.

Most of Blake’s titles are in the South in urban settings that are often overlooked by the mainstream. But through Blake’s eyes, readers quickly learn that places like Charlotte, NC can be as gritty as they come. It’s in these streets of this oft overlooked world where Blake portrays murderers and thieves alike as believable characters. Without judgement, he weaves humanizing backstories that serve up compelling reasons for why a drug dealer might choose a life of crime.

Readers of speak of the roller coaster ride of emotions that ensues from feeling anger at empathetic characters who always seem to do the wrong thing at the right to keep the story moving forward.

In terms of setting,Blake’s stories introduce his readers to spaces they may or may not be used to - streetscapes with unkept, cracked sidewalks where poverty prevails, times are depressed and people are broke and desperate. In Blake storytelling space, morality is so curved that rooting for bad guys to get away with murder can sometimes seem like the right thing for the reader to do - even when it’s not.

Readers who connect with Blake find him to be relatable. Likening him to a bad-boy gone good, they see a storyteller who writes as if he’s lived in world’s he generously shares, readily conveying his message that humanity is everywhere, especially in the unlikely, mean streets of cities like Charlotte.

3.25⭐️🌶️🌶️ The first story was the best story and felt like it could’ve been its own book. Story two was the shortest and the one where the two MC’s didn’t have very good chemistry to me, and story three I feel like that girl was dumb as hell, but I guess she got her happy ending.

high Value goon

A high Value Goon . 3 short stories in one. This was my first read by Blake Karrinfton and I will check out more from this author. I enjoyed the authors writing voice. Sometimes when you read books written by women , the MMC voice and the vibes is not authentic to how men think, act or sound.
High Value goon? I see where BK was heading with this bc they were all less than desirable but they turned it around by the end of the stories.

All three MMC were not typical “ high value men” but their saving grace was that they did the right thing. Which I wasn’t always expecting especially book three. I was hot as fish grease thinking the worst . I would recommend this book to someone looking for a thriller bc I don’t not know what these MMc were going to do at all.
Book one was great and I enjoyed how protective Micah was and how the FMC was sweet but not a push over . Neville doing the right things surprised me and the HEA was nice. Rico stressed me the most but all the MMC turned it around.

Great read!

I enjoyed these stories a lot! I was happy each couple got their HEA! I must say my least favorite was the 2nd story Lauren and Neville but I loved Charming and Rico the best! Micah and Kelly's story was really good but that Neville I wanted to strangle him for how he played with all those women although they were stupid to fall for good sex, great body & a pretty face. In the end they all got happy endings!

Entertaining

All three stories were really good. Loved that they were different from the usual. Tracey was over the top with audacity. Neville was interesting, Lauren activated his heart. Rico and Charmaine I was internally screaming Nooo! Glad it worked out. Hope nobody falls for that in real life.🤔. Goodreads!

I listened to the audiobook. If you can get past the narrators, this was a really good listen. There are 3 separate stories, each about 4 hours long so the author gets straight to the point. It's about family, drugs and relationships. Thoroughly enjoyed it.

First book by this author and I didn’t know it was multiple Books in one. The first story was decent, I really enjoyed it. The last one has me cussing because I was like this girl gotta be dumb and have low self esteem.

I couldn’t get into story 2 nor 3. But the first story was a good read. It could’ve been longer… should’ve been longer.
