Have you ever struggled with a weakness that just won't go away? Do you feel like healing is out of your reach? Are you unsure of where to look next? When we encounter challenges like these, it is easy to lose hope and stop trying.
To make matters worse, we've heard about Jesus Christ's ability to heal us, but the process of accessing that healing power is not well understood.¬The Healer's Art¬fills that gap by demonstrating how our efforts, paired with the Atonement of Jesus Christ, is the perfect plan for spiritual and emotional healing to take place in our lives.
The Healer's Art is a practical how-to manual of healing principles. It discusses what we can do to find healing in our lives, facilitate healing in the lives of others, and ultimately see the influence of Christ's Atonement working in the world. More than just a self-help book, ¬The Healer's Art also offers to take you on a powerful, life-changing journey of self-discovery and change, culminating in a renewed understanding of how we can find healing though Jesus Christ.
The Healer’s Art is a deeply uplifting and practical guide for anyone seeking to bring healing, compassion, and hope into the lives of others. Chapter 12, “Spiritual Gifts to Bless Others,” was especially meaningful to me because it highlights how each of us is given spiritual abilities not just for personal growth, but to lift and strengthen those around us.
What stood out most is the reminder that healing often happens through simple, everyday interactions—listening, showing patience, offering hope, teaching by example, or extending genuine charity. The chapter beautifully explains how gifts such as discernment, patience, hope, and peacemaking work together, enabling us to recognize when someone is hurting and respond with Christlike love.
I was particularly moved by the idea of “hope transfer”—the ability to lend hope to someone who cannot feel it for themselves in a difficult moment. This concept captures the heart of the book: healing is rarely done alone; it happens through connection, compassion, and shared faith.
The author makes spiritual principles practical, showing that we don’t need special training or extraordinary circumstances to help others heal—only willingness, love, and openness to God’s guidance. The chapter left me reflecting on how I can better use my own gifts to serve and bless those around me.
Overall, The Healer’s Art is an inspiring reminder that as we seek to develop Christlike qualities, we become instruments of healing in a world that desperately needs kindness and understanding.
This book found its way to me right at a time I was searching to know how to access Christ's healing power in my life on a continual basis, not just spiritually, but physically and emotionally as well. I love seeing the connection to healing power through the Atonement of Christ and how we can tap into that power. This book is a good read and reread for that.
I got to read this before it was released and it blew me away! So insightful. So many examples of Christ’s healing love for us. This is the type of book that you will find so many nuggets to commit to memory. Hopeful and inspiring for every single Christian, even if you aren’t of the LDS faith.
This is a beautiful book about self forgiveness and working on forgiving others. I enjoyed learning more about how turning to Christ can heal you with all of your trials and your mistakes. If you need a book that can help you get started healing no matter where you are in your healing journey this is one that can definitely assist you.
