Award winning author Rosie Hendry lives by the sea in Norfolk with her husband and two children. East End Angels is the first book in her uplifting and heart-warming saga series that follows the lives and loves of Winnie, Frankie and Bella, who all work for the London Auxiliary Ambulance Service (LAAS) during the Blitz. Listening to her father's tales of life during the Second World War sparked Rosie's interest in this period and she loves researching further, searching out gems of real life events which inspire her writing.
What an ending to a brilliant book the ups and downs of old friends that I have missed for so long tears galore glad Prue,s done got back safeish and Thea got her knight in shining armour is this the end of rookery house I know that the war is over and it's got to end somewhere but I am so sad to say goodbye to dear friends such as these if you haven't already read any of the rookery house series then you are missing out big time if I could I would give this book more than five stars plus I can't recommend it highly enough Rosie Hendry has done it again marvellous writing
I am so sad that "Wedding Celebrations at Rookery House" by Rosie Hendry is the last book in the "Rookery House" series. "Wedding Celebrations" was such a great book! I like that Ms. Hendry wrapped everyone stories and there were some happy endings. If you haven't read the "Rookery House" series, be sure to check it and if you have you will be very happy with the ending. Can't wait for the next series to start.
And so we come to the end of the Rookery House series and although it was to be expected with the end of the war, I am incredibly sad to leave Thea,Prue, Hettie and the other characters. When the stories have been this well written, you can't help wondering what the author might have planned for them next. I look forward to her new series x
