I thoroughly enjoyed Wish, book four in the Men of Inked Sinners series from the storyline to the memorable characters and don’t forget the whole meddling in your face extended Gallo family.
Hunter and Zoey happen to be new apartment neighbors when Hunter moves to Chicago to be near his daughter and it just so happens to now work for Zoey’s cousin at the tattoo parlor across the street from her bar. As they say, it’s a small world and their close proximity just brings them closer. Yes, this story has a little drama but the Gallos all step up to help, support and bring Hunter and his daughter into their fold.

Zoey Gallo (of the Chicago Gallo Family) works at her family’s bar. She had a boyfriend but he went to jail after assaulting her. She hasn’t dated in awhile and the other family members are ready for her to get out and date again.

Her new hot sexy neighbor is moving in, Hunter Evans. Who is now working at her cousins tattoo shop across from her bar. Her cousin is now his boss. But is Hunter wanting a relationship? Hunter moved to Chicago to be near to his daughter, his ex has cancer and moved to Chicago to get better care with her treatments.

Hunter and Zoey have started hanging out with each other but it sure where things might be going. Zoey’s ex comes back into the picture - stalking her and Hunter doesn’t want to leave Zoey and more than he has to. But spending time together is what they both wanted just not under the circumstances that they are.

I did receive a free ARC copy of this book. I am freely leaving an honest book review.

I love most of the Inked books, but this one just made me frustrated. I read another review earlier that said " the Gallo Family has some crazy family dynamics, but ones we all secretly wish for." No, not in this book. The sister and cousin in this book were supposed to be pushing a little for her own good. However, it was so pushy that they bordered on being bullies. I also know most people won't agree with me on that, and while I do wish I had a big, helpful family. I do not long for the type that won't stop when you ask them to, and don't think about the trauma they could be causing. Maybe it is from my own trauma, and this book was just a trigger, I don't know, but it really bothered me. Other than that excelent writing as usual.

Love Love Love!!!
A Single Dad + A Gallo Girl = An Amazing Read!!!
Wish is a slow burn romance with both main characters yearning for each other but hesitant to take the next step. I couldn't put the book down because my eagerness to know if Hunter and Zoey would finally get together had me glued.
Wish is a sweet, fun story. I love the way the romance develops and the interaction between all the characters, especially Amira, Hunter's sweet little girl.
The family dynamics with the Gallos are simply the best! It's the secret recipe in Chelle Bliss's books that makes her an automatic one-click for me. A must read!

Wish

Zoey Gallo is determined to not be involved with any guy, after having a bad experience with a guy, she doesn't want to let herself fall into a trap of a guy again. Of course you know the Gallo family, they only know family, love and want everyone to have their own love story. A new neighbor moves in, and he is definitely worth a second look. He as well isn't looking for a relationship either. This story is about family, friends and full of unexpected events, drama and the pull of unexpected feelings. Beautiful story ❤️.

Wish is book 4 in the Men of Inked Sinners series and follows single dad, Chicago transplant Hunter as he falls for much younger, bar owner Zoey.

Hunter is a tattoo artist from Ohio. He used to be married to Natalie and has a beautiful, precocious daughter, Amira. He was forced to move to Chicago suddenly due to Natalie needing specialized medical treatment there, and his desire to be close to his daughter. Lucky for him, he called Tate, a tattoo shop owner he knew from conferences, and was able to get a job at her shop.

Zoey is a Gallo. Yes, of THE Gallos. She has had bad luck with men. She leans towards bad boys that end up breaking her heart. Her sister Lulu is happily married with a baby, and wants Zoey to have what she has. But Zoey is not interested in dating right now. She is trying to heal after the last loser she dated.

As Hunter is moving in to his new apartment, Zoey's sister, Lulu, decides to play matchmaker. On his first day of work, Tate decides to play matchmaker. What Hunter does not understand is that the Gallos are in everyone's business. His family is the complete opposite, so it is shocking to him.

Neither Zoey nor Hunter are ready for a relationship. But life has other plans for them.

When Zoey's past comes back to haunt her and Hunter ends up unknowingly in the way, will this be the impetus that moves them from neighbors to lovers or will it split them apart indefinitely?

There are so many relationships in this book that make you love the Gallos. They take everyone in as family, but that also means they take over your life. But they love you beyond measure and will protect those they love.

I think the scene I loved the most was at the "family" dinner where Hunter's plate was piled high. When Mason, Zoey's cousin, sits down with him he explains that Gram can only cook two things really well. Everything else is from the rest of the ladies in the family.

Throughout the book, we see glimpses of Mason and Lizzy, Hunter's sister. Let us hope that the next book is theirs. And it will be an interesting story, pairing Zoey's cousin with Hunter's sister. Shall we say less than six degrees of separation.

⭐ Rating: 3–3.5 stars

Was it enjoyable? Hell yes.
Did it make sense? Hell no.

This book had a pretty, emotional vibe, and honestly, my biggest complaint is how short it was. It had potential—sad, sweet, and comforting—but it ended before it could fully develop into something great.

Synopsis

Hunter moves into the same building as Zoey. They fall in love almost immediately, but both are carrying personal baggage that makes being together complicated. Angst, emotional walls, and “we can’t be together” energy drive the story.

Thoughts

I’ll be honest: this book was dumb but good.

My first book by this author was Phantom Healing, and I loved that one. Unfortunately, this didn’t come close. The story felt rushed and not well thought out. Everyone around Hunter is constantly pushing him to get with Zoey—a woman he literally just met—and I was like… absolutely not.

And the marriage after three months? No. This man already got divorced once and is walking straight into round two. He lets himself go emotionally way too fast, and it honestly explains why his first marriage failed.

Zoey’s family being way too involved in her life was another huge no for me. I don’t care how close you are—why do you need to know how I’m sleeping with my husband? Please leave. Boundaries exist for a reason.

Also, Hunter being a single dad felt underused. His daughter should’ve been mentioned way more—she deserved better page time.

The spice? Very meh. Not spicy, not memorable. If you’re here for heat, this isn’t it. If you’re here for a soft, emotional story, then yes—it might work for you.

I do hope we get another book with mason and Lizzy, because they honestly stole my interest by the end.

Final Thoughts

Messy. Unrealistic. Rushed.
But somehow still enjoyable.

Not a favorite, not a reread—but not a regret either.

I’m always happy to go back to the Gallo world and I loved Zoey and Hunter’s story. “Wish” is a swoony, heartfelt, and sweet neighbors to lovers, single dad romance that was a great addition to the series.

Zoey Gallo is happy with her life. She runs the family bar with her cousin, is close with her family and loves being in Chicago. And when her new neighbor moves in, she takes notice but is not interested in a relationship. Hunter Evans is a small town guy but moved to Chicago to be closer to his daughter, especially since her mother is sick. Hunter notices Zoey as well but is focused on his daughter. But much to Zoey’s surprise, Hunter is the newest artist at the family’s tattoo shop so they will definitely see each other all the time. But when someone from Zoey’s past comes back to threaten her, Hunter promises to be there and the lines they each drew start to get erased.

I loved getting to know Zoey from the previous books and I’m glad we got her story next. Zoey is kind, genuine and is close with all of her family. She’s great at running the bar and has a passion to help it succeed for more Gallo generations to come. Hunter was swoony from the first moment he met Zoey and I don’t know how she resisted him for as long as she did. He’s an amazing Dad and I love how close he is with his daughter and how he moved without hesitation to be in the same city as her. I loved the banter he had with the other Gallos and how they welcomed him into the family even before he started dating Zoey. He was instantly protective of her when a crazy man from her past came back and had every intention of hurting her again. Hunter was there for her and made sure she was safe. Zoey and Hunter had a great connection and I loved the slow burn to them being a couple. It was so sweet and the perfect pace for them. I loved the ending and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Back in the saddle we go with the Gallo Family. Book four in the Men of Inked Sinner series, Wish is the story of Zoey and Hunter. As always, I recommend reading the series in order to get the most out of it, but each book can be read as a standalone in the interconnected series.

Zoey has had so really crapping luck with men, her latest (ex) boyfriend is now in jail after taking hands to her, and we all know how the Gallo’s take to that. She has learned the hard way that men outside of her family just can’t be trusted with her heart and maybe being alone isn't as bad as it seems. That is until she sees her sister with her new baby and is reminded how badly she too wants that one day. Enter Hunter.

Hunter is new to town and taking up a job with her cousin Tate, who of course decides to play match matcher. Did I mention Hunter is also Zoey’s new neighbor? Yup that’s right, the single dad next door. Hunter however is dealing with a lot of family drama and isn't sure if he is up to a new relationship. After all, he moved to Chicago to be closer to his daughter while her mother fights cancer. Slowly though, Hunter and Zoey start spending more time together and their chemistry builds quickly, then as life does, drama ensues. Zoey’s ex makes an appearance and starts stalking her and causing all kinds of issues, now Hunter has to decide if he can handle the drama of that and his own drama at the same time.

As always, the Gallo Family has some crazy family dynamics, but ones we all secretly wish for. I loved Hunter’s daughter, she’s a sweetie who added such warmth to the story. The added suspense from Zoey’s ex was an interesting turn, but poor Hunter just didn’t know what he was getting into with this family. I’m looking forward to seeing how the series finishes.

Zoey & Hunter ... time to swoon

When Chelle Bliss opens her book with a labour room scene in which the main character is haunted for life by what she has just witnessed, you know you're in for another fantastic Gallo book. WISH is a single dad, hot neighbour, he falls first, slow burn romance which had plenty of emotions, humour, family vibes, swooning and sighing.

After her previous relationship ended in disaster, Zoey Gallo decided being single and running her family's bar was all she wanted to concentrate on. Then she spies her new neighbour through the peephole, oh this hottie was a man she was determined to avoid. Thank to his ex, Hunter Evans moved to Chicago to be closer to his daughter. While moving into his new apartment he didn't expect to find himself attracted to his new neighbour. Making the world smaller, Hunter discovers that his new boss at Inked, Tate, is his neighbour's cousin.

Zoey and Hunter are instantly attracted to each other, their chemistry is insane, but neither is willing to take things further. That doesn't stop an interfering sister or cousin doing everything they can to push them together. I loved watching Zoey and Hunter fall for each other, but I enjoyed that they took time to act upon their feelings. When danger comes to Zoey's doorstep Hunter steps into protector mode ... talk about swoon. But will their chance at happiness be taken away?

WISH was another terrific addition to the Gallo world. The slow burn of Zoey and Hunter was delicious. I thoroughly enjoyed being back with the Southside Gallos and look forward to Mason Gallo's story in Desire . I highly recommend WISH and all the Gallo books.

Wish takes us back to the vibrant Southside of Chicago for another captivating chapter in the Gallo family saga. This time, the spotlight shines on Zoey, the daughter of Lucio and Delilah. In her sister Need's story, Zoey endured a traumatic experience that leaves her determined to steer clear of romantic commitments and motherhood, especially after witnessing her sister's birth of her adorable niece.

But life's surprises are never far away. As single dad Hunter Evans moves into the apartment next door, things start to get interesting. Especially when her family teases her about him, noticing how stunning he is and how he can't seem to look away from Zoey.

Hunter, though, has his own priorities—his daughter and his new job—taking up most of his attention. Fortunately, his new role at Inked Southside places him right at the heart of the action. His boss? Zoey's cousin, Tate. And just across the street is Hook and Hustle, the lively bar Zoey runs with her cousin Mason. The sparks fly effortlessly between Zoey and Hunter, and everyone around them, including his daughter, and sister Lizzy and the rest of the Gallos, cheerfully root for this blossoming friendship.

And when Zoey receives some devastating news. Leaving Hunter to step up to protect her, the pair finally admit they are made for each other.

And with trauma, a slow-burning romance and a nice build-up of the relationship between Zoey and Hunter. Wish is an engaging and delightful read that is hard to put down, and I would happily recommend it to all.

Trigger warnings include the death of parents (of the page but discussed) and a shooting that may cause upset.

My thanks to Chelle Bliss for the opportunity to read Wish. All thoughts expressed are my own. 😊

Wish is another great little ride with the Gallos. This time around it's Zoey's turn to find her happiness and to her surprise, he's just across the hall from her! Both she and Hunter are a bit gunshy as he is divorced and a recent transplant to Chicago since his ex and their daughter are now living there and she is still not completely over her violent ex and what he did to her and her sister Lulu. BUT, thankfully, Chelle Bliss knows exactly how to not only have the Gallos butt into Zoey's love life but also have Hunter's sister Lizzy do the same. It's like they all found each other just to push these two together.

The book is a bit of a slow-burn but the chemistry is there for the taking as Zoey and Hunter inch closer to one another with each passing day. And when Zoey's twisted ex causes Hunter a whole world of pain, I'd say that act of courage truly solidified their bond like nothing else could.

But to me, it's the quieter times with Hunter's daughter Amira and real heart to heart conversations between Zoey and her cousins that showed how well these two fit together. Amira was crazy for Zoey and I do think she loved how great of a dad Hunter was to his little girl. Then with her cousin Tate's input as Hunter's new boss, I just knew in spite all the meddling, that Zoey and Hunter would fall hard for one another. Proving all the crazy Gallos that their matchmaking skills continue to be legendary!

All in all, it's a sweet read, even though I do wish it were a bit longer. But with Mason's story coming next, I have no doubt we'll continue to get updates on Hunter and Zoey and the rest of this memorable generation of Gallos, as the former player may have just met his match.

4 solid stars.

This was a quick read and a great addition to this series. This was not the typical single Dad read and I enjoyed it from start to finish.

Zoey Gallo has swarn off men especially after the last man that she was involved with kidnapped her sister and held her hostage. After he went to jail she decided that she needed a break from dating and focus on working at the family bar that she now owned with her cousin. Her family that has no bounds when it comes to their love and invasiveness are determined to get her back into the dating world and it doesn't help that her new neighbor is not bad to look at. Will she be able to keep up with her dating break??

Hunter has moved to Chicago to be closer to his daughter. He wants to continue to be part of her life and be supportive of his ex through her health crisis. What he did not expect was to be attracted to his neighbor and then find himself working for what he thought was his friend but also Zoey's cousin. With all of the meddling going on with Zoey's family he is not without his own meddling in the form of his sister doing the same. When he thinks that he is just walking Zoey home he ends up getting shot by her ex and in Zoey's care. Will he be able to resist his attraction to her while recuperating??

This was a quick read that I was hooked on from start to finish. The characters were well written and had chemistry despite their best efforts to resist each other. I enjoyed the return of the characters from the previous books in the series and felt that the plot of the story flowed well. Overall, this is a great read that I would recommend to others.

It is always great to return to the world of the Gallo's! Wish is another fantastic addition to this series.

Zoey Gallo runs the bar with her cousin and is happy with the life she leads. She isn't looking for anything in the way of a relationship regardless how much her family would like for her to find someone to settle down with. When a new neighbor moves in across the hall, her family takes notice and while she realizes he is good looking, she still isn't looking for anything.

Hunter Evans has moved to Chicago to be close to his daughter following the split with her mother. He knows his daughter needs his support given her mother is ill and he's looking forward finding his footing in a new city. Hunter also notices Zoey, but he knows that this isn't the time to be focused on any kind of dating or the like.

Zoey soon realizes that Hunter is the new tattoo artist at the family shop, so she knows she is going to be seeing a lot more of Hunter than just because she lives across the hall from him. They strike up a friendship and when someone from Zoey's past comes back and starts causing problems, Hunter is very quick to be the person to step in to help. Will these two people who said they don't want a relationship really stick to that or will the pull between them be too much to deny?

Zoey and Hunter were great characters and I enjoyed how their relationship developed. This was a quick read and it had all of the things you want in a great romance novel; heat, heart and plenty of family!

4 1/2 STARS!

Bliss knows her way around a hunky hero! Reconnecting with the Gallo family is always a joy, and the next book in the Men of Inked Sinners series brings us Zoey's story when she has an instant connection with her hunky new neighbor Hunter. Neither are looking for love, but it hits them regardless. The chemistry between the two of them was really intense, and the butting in of family on both sides added a humorous side to their meet cute. I did like that not every cousin was brought in to overwhelm the reader this time with lots of faces that they might not be familiar with, but I did feel a lack of backstory when it came to the Zoey/LuLu/Mark situation. We needed more catch up to remind those of us who read the entire family what had happened, but most importantly to tell anyone picking this book up as a supposed stand alone what the inference of drama was all about. There was a big hole there even for a fan of the series and family.

Overall, this was a fast paced read with lots of drama and humor. I wanted more time with them to develop their relationship and a little more filler of his kiddo, his ex, etc. but loved them as a couple. I recommend this book as well as the entire series and connected series of the fam to anyone that enjoys an intense family who loves hard and never lets a roadblock stand in their way of loving and supporting each other through life's ups and downs.

First off, I highly recommend you read Need: Men of Inked Sinners: Book 3 first (obvs.), as there is a side story featuring Zoey, that is played out in this book. With that said, *sighs* I love an instalove story, and you can tell right away that Hunter is immediately attracted to Zoey. She tries to resist temptation, and fortunately, they both have personal reasons for not pursuing a relationship.

Yet, this setback doesn't last too long. Fate totally has other plans for them, pushing these two together in unforseen events. They do seem to fit together like two perfect puzzle pieces, and the family sees it too! Then someone from Zoey's past pops up (see read Need first), putting her and Hunter in danger.

Ultimately, it unites Zoey, Hunter and the entire Gallo Family together. The story was definitely sweet, and if anyone in the Men Of Inked Sinners series deserved a happily ever after, it's Zoey. There are still more Southside Next Gen cousins, so I'm looking forward to the next books in the series. Chelle Bliss has written such a loveable family, from Florida to Chicago. Her books make you feel like you're part of the family, like an honorary Gallo! ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 1/✨

Edit: I would also say this is low-key a Christmas romance.

Special thanks to author Chelle Bliss for providing the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Wish - Men of Inked Sinners Book 4 is Zoey Gallo and Hunter Evans story. Although this can be read as a standalone, it does overlap with book 3 that could give some insight into Zoey's past.

I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It was a quick read that held my attention until the very end. I'm a slow reader, and I finished this one in a day, which is a huge accomplishment for me!

Zoey and Hunter were both lovable characters, and their connection was undeniable. Hunter's relationship with his sister, Lizzy, and daughter Amira, was heartwarming. He loved those in his life, and he showed it. Hunter was quick to become Zoey's protector when a threat came from her ex. I felt like the book was paced well and had a good mix of drama and sweetness. Zoey and Hunter's slow-burn was perfect for their story, but we did get some really passionate kisses before the spice. The Gallos are one of my favorite fictional families, whether we are visiting the Chicago or Florida Gallos, and I always find myself smiling with their meddling family, great banter, and the love and support they have for one another. A great addition to this series, and I am already looking forward to Mason Gallo and Lizzy's book.

If I had to describe wish in one word it would be family. The importance of family in all Chelle Bliss books is what separates her from the rest. People who are always there for you no matter what. Sometimes, ok, most times they know too much But the love they have for one another makes up for it.
Family we do everything for each other. Sacrifice for those we love. Hunter although not a Gallo, yet, move to another city in order to be close to his daughter. He did it without a single thought of why not. His daughter Is his whole world. There was no other choice. Upon moving and relocating he's only concentrating on her, A relationship is the furthest thing in his mind.
Zoe recovering from her last relationship does not want to get involved with anyone. She's having a hard time with trust because of what happened with mark.
But sometimes we cannot control when the right one comes along. Life is too short and sometimes life has other plans for us. It is your choice to accept what life throws at you or live with regret. Trust is one foundation to a successful relationship. It is not to be taken for granted. It took Zoey a while (with some assistance from her family) to trust Hunter and give him a chance. But in the end, love conquered all, built on trust.

Chelle Bliss has done it again!! She has written a book that I will be revisiting again and again. If I want a reminder of how fantastic a man can be I will be drooling over Hunter in Wish. The author writes the most amazing male characters, but Hunter is supreme.

What's not to like about a guy willing to up and move from Ohio to Chicago? Hunter's ex-wife moved, taking his adorable daughter with her. He was planning to follow, the distance not acceptable, but moved earlier when his ex-wife got ill. He wanted to be there for his daughter. SWOON!!! Single dad for the win!!!!

Hunter is a very delectable man, but not interested in a relationship. Lucky for him, his beautiful neighbor isn't either. Zoey Gallo is still dealing with her past. Zoey is quite happy keeping her distance, but Hunter is a hard man to resist.

Hunter and Zoey area the opitime of slow burn romance with interfering family to push them along. The not to so subtle actions were glorious. The surprises grabbed me. The possiblities had me excited for future chapters. The jaw dropping moments were intense. I couldn't wait to see what the future would hold.

Wish is the 4th book in the Men of Inked Sinner series. The couple in the book are Zoey and Hunter.
He is her new hot neighbour. He has moved to Chicago to be with his daughter ( Amira)because his ex wife is there for treatment. He also works at Tate's tattoo shop.
Zoey is Lucio and Delilah's daughter and Lulu's sister. She has a rough time with relationships.
If you have read Lulu's book you know what has happened to her. She is sworn of getting involved with anyone.... enter Hunter lol
With help with Lizzy(Hunter's sister) and most of Zoey's family trying to push them together,
They start hanging out more but her past come back to haunt her and all heck breaks loose.
When that happens all of the Gallos show up and support Hunter.
They get over what happened and the person that did the damage has been dealt with.
Hunter's ex wife is recovering and Amira and Hunter ask Zoey a very importand question.
Also there are some hot sparks between Mason and Lizzy. Can't wait to read Mason's book
All I can say is about this book is that it is amazing and they get a well deserved HEA.

Zoey wasn’t going to have another relationship; she wasn’t going to have a baby ever after witnessing birth. She didn’t expect the new neighbour. Or did she expect as it seems to happen with the Gallos that someone in the family already knew him.
Hunter moved so that he could still see his daughter regularly and not knowing what could happen to his ex with her undergoing treatment. He was so thankful that they had a space for him at the family run tattoo parlour. He had no time for anything other than his daughter and work, even though his sister pointed out his beautiful neighbour.
When his boss works out where he lives and that he is attracted to her, Hunter soon learns that when the Gallos want something to happen they make sure it does. Zoey keeps denying things with Hunter, as much as her family is pushing her, she’s sworn of relationship. Then Zoey realises that Hunter is like no one she’s dated or been interested in before and that her family has rarely if ever been wrong about anything.

We are in the Windy City of Chicago and the Gallo’s here are as STRONG AND THRIVING as the Florida family !! The bar Hook & Hustle along with Inked is nothing short of a legacy for the Gallo’s and Hunter and Zoey are now both connected not just in work but also with there hearts.

They both don’t know it yet because they are both trying to push each other aside and for good reasons BUT the heart knows what the heart wants and eventually they BOTH go along with what the stars have written.

Hunter is new to Chicago but NOT new to Inked so when he starts his new job Tate Gallo makes it her mission to find him his sole mate and her cousin Zoey might just be what he is looking for. Except Zoey isn’t having it because boy if you don’t remember her ex Mark did a real number on her and she can’t let it go until .. Hunter saves her life !!

These two or three are ment to be a family and you will find yourself reading ALL night to make sure it happens !! Why to bring more LOVE to the Gallo bunch Chelle !! Loved it !!

This single dad romance in the Gallo world is one that grabs your attention and holds you captivated right to the very end. Zoey and Hunter have both decided that relationships are not for them at the moment due to different reasons. Zoey has been burned one too many times and no longer trusts in her own judgement and Hunter needs to put his daughter first. However from the very first time this pair meet as neighbours, you can feel the chemistry and attraction radiate between them. As they find their lives more and more entwined these two find it harder and harder to keep their walls up. As danger lurks and Hunter must keep Zoey safe these two will find that sometimes putting your heart on the line is worth the risk. Their story is filled with plenty of laugh out loud moments that always come with the Gallos and enough drama to keep you on the edge of your seat. It also brings plenty of romance and heat to tick all the boxes. A fantastic storyline to go perfectly with these amazing characters.

Wish is the fourth book inn the Men of Inked: Sinners series. The chemistry between Zoey and Hunter is off the charts, even though they try to deny the attraction. Zoey is still hurting from a past relationship. She was hurt and can't trust herself, or anyone outside of her family. Hunter isn't in Chicago to find "the one." He's there strictly to for his young daughter. Too bad fate had other plans.

Zoey and Hunter's book is amazing! The romance was delightful. I loved meeting Hunter and Amira, bringing them into the Gallos fold. The conflict was minimal, happened too quickly, and didn't really build up. Not much was said about the consequences of the actions. I would have liked to see better closure between Zoey and her ex.

I loved being back with the Gallos family. Every book has engaged me, kept me entertained, and left me wanting more. I love the characters, how the family interacts, each romantic pair, and the world created by the author. I'm looking forward to Mason's book.

Ms. Bliss has given us the chef's kiss in this enchanting and entertaining love story. Honestly, I am a sucker for 'he falls first' books and this one is perfect. Ms. Bliss gives us some suspense, a family that embraces you right from the start and two MCs who weave their way into your heart. This book is one that is on my will definitely read again list and one that you just can't pass up.
Hunter and Zoey are two people who are not looking for a relationship at the time but there is just something in the air that pulls them to one another. He is dealing with moving to a new place, starting a new job and having to be there 100% for his daughter. There is a lot on his plate but when Zoey, his new neighbour, appears, he might have time and space in his heart for her. Then there is Zoey, who is hesitant to jump into anything due to her past relationship, and men are nowhere on her radar. Well, that is, until she meets Hunter.
Hunter is her knight in shining armor and she is the bright but sassy light in his and his daughter's lives.
The perfect love story.

In this book we get Zoey Gallo's story. If you have read Chelle's books, you will know how big tmand nosey the Gallo's family are, I love how close the whole family is, even if there isn't much boundaries 😂.
Zoey is just trying to live life again and she probably won't trust another man again. In her sister Lulu's story in 'Need' we saw what happened.
Hunter has just moved to town because he wants to be close to his daughter. He was such a good dad, he had no choice but to follow just to be near her. He doesn't have time for relationship, after betrayal by his ex and him trying to settle in his new job etc.
Then fate makes them neighbours. They have instant chemistry but they don't act on it, however their nosey and over the top sisters won't stop pushing them.
I loved how he was accepted in the family group. As always the Gallo's family are fun to be around and all the banter.
Oh and her past may just threaten their future.
Family, friends, emotional, drama, love and very entertaining.

Hunter & Zoey: triggers- cancer, stalking, assault and gun violence. I really enjoyed the romance and the Gallo family as usual but I have to say that the drama, the climax the thriller of the book kind of fell flat for me with this one. there's very little suspense since we already know who the antagonist from jump street. but the Gallos are activated and that's it. there's no head to head confrontation. not to say there isn't a climax to the story because there is, it just isn't what we're used to or expect from C.B... SO... getting back to the romance. Hunter is new to Chicago, moving only to be close to his daughter after his ex wife gets sick. he ends up moving in next door to Zoey. and of course the busy body Gallos are quick to start the matchmaking as soon as he's moved in. but both Hunter and Zoey are not looking for anything at the moment. even though they are definitely attracted to each other. I really liked Hunter and Zoey, I just wished there was more to the book. it felt rushed.

Wish🧁

Wish is the next book in the second generation of Southside Gallos and should not be missed🙌 Zoey, has maintained her single status especially after what happened with her ex. But when Hunter moves next door, she is immediately attracted to him. But can she trust him enough to move forward?

Hunter, through no choice of his own, finds his way to Chicago, to be closer to his daughter. Not too keen to dive into a relationship after the way his last one ended, his focus remains on work and being the best dad possible to his daughter. But when he meets his stunning neighbour Zoey, all bets are off❣️

The story took a suspenseful turn I was not expecting but I really enjoyed Zoey and Hunter’s story and being back amongst the Southside Gallos😍 I’m wondering if there’s a story for Mason and Hunter’s sister, Lizzy🤔 I received an advanced copy and willingly leave my honest review❤️‍🩹

This book is the story of Zoey and Hunter. Zoey has decided to take a big break from dating. She hasn’t had the best of luck with men. Well little did she know that her new neighbor is a hottie. Well Zoey definitely does her best to try to avoid Hunter but that ends up being hard to do when he not only lives next to her but also works at her cousins tattoo parlor. Of course when her cousin Tate sees the sparks between these two she tries to set them up and get them to agree to one date. But Hunter says no as well since he is trying to get himself settled and focus on his daughter who is going through a tough time with her mom. Despite these two giving it their best effort to keep a distance fate has other plans and throws these two together at every turn. Don’t worry they finally give in and go on that one date that turns into something more.
This story you also get to see some of the Gallo’s and all the funny family dynamics.

Can’t wait for the next book in this series
