A BODY BENEATH THE CONCRETE. A KILLER ERASED FROM HISTORY. A COVER-UP PROTECTED BY POWER.
When workers drain a suburban pool and discover human remains buried for twenty years, the victim is labeled John Doe and the case quietly filed away.
Until a woman comes forward claiming to be the only survivor of a serial killer who once hunted in the area.
Vigilante assassin Silence Jones is sent to verify her story—or expose her as a fraud. But what he finds is worse than either. The killings were real. The records were altered. And the people who buried the truth are still in power.
They've had decades to perfect the cover-up. They've silenced witnesses, destroyed evidence, and built a network designed to keep the dead buried.
But they never planned on Silence Jones digging them up.
Perfect for fans of Brad Thor, Gregg Hurwitz, and Mark Greaney.

Another difficult to put down entertaining story of Silence Jones and his exploits on behalf of The Watchers. On a case in Kansas City Missouri, when attacked, Silence fights his target, and then hears a possible other person in the decrepit house his target occupied. He discovers a female that has been missing for over a year, Abigail Harland, an Iowa college girl that had disappeared mysteriously but Silence has been recorded on CCTV which has not happened before. Then, following the discovery of a body in the foundations of a family swimming pool being excavated because of the drowning of a little girl in the pool in Monroe, North Carolina, Silence is tasked with checking out the situation there only to find a senior reporter that is able to identify him from that previous case. So, the story becomes completely intriguing and when further murders are committed around Monroe they add to the twists and turns the story takes. A really good read from beginning to end, and highly recommended whether you have read about this character Silence Jones, before or not.
Silence is deadly as ever but you get to see his kind side dealing with a mentally challenged young man. Action packed, suspenseful, corruption and twists you don't see coming. Twenty years ago a serial killer the Field Jacket Killer, murders 3 people, abruptly stops, now 3 new murders take place. Is this the same man or a copy cat? A page turner. Recommend. Received an ARC and this is my honest voluntary review.
