A Must-Read!!! Captivating, Thought-Provoking, and Inspiring
You owe it to yourself to read this warm and wonderful memoir! Packed with entertainment and wisdom gained through life’s tribulations, this book will be one that you cannot put down. You will find yourself quickly absorbed into the story, eager to find out what happens next.
Follow the author and her family of six through nearly a decade of hardship, navigating all of the stressors that come with long-term unemployment. Walk alongside them through these difficult years and gain insight into God’s way of teaching and refinement. So many life lessons are found within these pages; every reader will walk away with something meaningful that they can use to navigate their own challenging circumstances.
In a time when the world feels unsettled and difficult struggles are hitting so many people, this book offers salve for the human spirit. You will walk away feeling encouraged and hopeful.
Sidenote: I grew up with Dave and we attended the same small school—I believe from kindergarten through graduation. I have known this family for many years, and they have no idea that I’m writing this review (or even that I have read the book). It was such a special treat for me, recognizing most of the places and knowing about a few of the life events that Faith shared.
My family was one of the ones welcomed into their home for lunch when times were at their hardest. I had no idea of the depth of the struggles they were facing because they continued to be the hands and feet of Jesus. They are the “real deal “, and what you are reading is authentic. If you are like me, you will read this and buy a second copy to share with a friend. It’s that good!

Great book! Very entertaining, thought provoking & motivating. I recognized the many blessings I have & how important community & God are.
