Before: or: Make Trump Great Again

Based on Charles Dickens’ timeless classic, A Christmas Carol. this novella adds a modern day twist to the story with the role of Ebenezer Scrooge played by today’s living scrooge, President Donald Trump. Otherwise the story follows the same plot with the selfish, self-centered, cold-hearted Scrooge/Trump being visited by the three ghosts/spirits: The Ghost of Christmas Past shows Scrooge/Trump his unhappy past and his missed chances to be a kinder, better person.The Ghost of Christmas Present shows that others have a grateful, positive outlook even in the face of difficult times and life’s challenges and The Ghost of Christmas Yet-to-Come shows how things may turn out if he does not change.
In this version, it is the spirit of Christmas Yet-to-Come that affects Scrooge/Trump the hardest - because, as the story reminds us, he thrives on receiving attention, even negative attention is better than no attention in his mind. Thus learning that in the future no one will remember him at all, positively or negatively, may have the greatest impact on our modern day Scrooge.
A clever modernization of the 1843 infamous book, A Christmas Carol, with an underlying suggestion that it’s not too late for our current president to change his tune. A quick, novella offering plenty to think about. If only it would fall into the right persons hands. If only he read books. If only he were able to hear the message. Øh well, tis the season of dreams.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
