Forced by the government, G.O.R.E. Sector relinquishes custody of the X41 meteorite, recovered on the island of Zil Nesans, to a facility in Arizona.
Utilizing special equipment invented by none other than Dr. Howard Tate, Raptor Pack inspects the interior of the facility, suspicious of the intentions of those running it. As the evening goes on, the scientists on site begin their experiments at the behest of a powerful senator.
The results are catastrophic.
What was intended to be a miracle of medical science has become a killing spree. A former marine, crippled in the Iraq War, mutates into a humanoid monstrosity. Complete with the intellect of a human but the murderous mind of a mutant, he goes on a rampage throughout the facility.
As the body count rises, G.O.R.E. Sector must act fast to stop the soldier-turned-brute before his killing spree spreads to a populated area.

The team gets to say "I told you so" when a senator decides to move the meteorite to a "secure" location. A soldier with a tragic backstory gets a secon chance at life, only for it to go horribly wrong. The team was kind of a secondary group in this one since so much was focused on the villian, but it turned out okay. More hints that the company was involved so I can't wait for the next book.
The story plot was good. But I did feel like it kinda reminds me of a mixture of The Incredible Hulk and Batman VS. Superman . Like the whole military person needs medical or wants the strength/power. But it goes wrong due it not being safely tested
Mister Cole's imagination has certainly not waned. Not only that, but there were less of those pesky errors then in the previous works of his I have enjoyed. I look forward to seeing what else he's been up to.
Not the best in the series but worth reading. As usual the bad guys are trying to mess with things they shouldn't and Gore Sector has to try and fix everything.Recommended as part of a series.
This is an incredible series, and I love the characters. Read all of them, and it was left open for another installment. I'm looking forward to it. It is better if you start at the first one as it builds with each new adventure.
