Jacqueline Shaw has achieved every goal she’s set her mind to—except having a successful, loving relationship. Falling time and again for men whose only contribution to her life amounts to perfectly-timed orgasms, and fragmented visions of ‘Happily Ever After’, she realizes it’s time to get off the relationship merry-go-round. And figure out why she was riding so long in the first place.

Chase Andrews, III is a dedicated firefighter haunted by nightmares so real he often awakens to the smell of still burning flesh. Eighteen years and countless lives saved, he’s been heralded a hero. But the devastating loss of one little boy makes him question his aptitude as a lieutenant, his ability to carry his family’s legacy, and at times…his own sanity.

After a drama-filled encounter two years before, Chase and Jackie cross paths again in a most unusual circumstance. Both driven by desire, the possibilities of what could be will draw them together. But uncovered secrets, unwanted drama, and unresolved issues threaten their chance at love, and might just leave them BROKEN.

Born and bred in Philadelphia, PA, Danee Riggs is a self-proclaimed
writer-holic. A child of God, a daughter’s kind-of-mother and a lover’s kind-of-friend, she enjoys being active and engaging with others. Danee
is a motorcycle riding, cum laude graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania and a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. And to bring things full circle, she confesses to being absolutely in love with the written word!

Danee’s love affair with writing began with the simple act itself, just copying words on paper. It soon blossomed into a love of creating poems and short stories. Danee penned the short ‘My Only Son’, which won 5th place out of almost 500 entries in the ‘My Best Fiction’ contest at Bookrix.com and can now be read at daneeriggs.com.

Danee’s love for writing dovetails with her love for reading and because her reading preferences might be deemed, ‘eclectic’, her writing influences may be considered the same. These include but are certainly not limited to; Stephen King, Maya Angelou, Ernest Hemingway, Patricia Cornwell and BeBe Moore Campbell (God rest her soul). Bebe encouraged Danee personally from the time that she was in grade school to use and hone her “gift of writing.” She has certainly done that and now her poetry book, ‘Seasons of My Soul; A Poetry Girl’s Prerogative’ is currently available for purchase. BROK∑N, her steamy, provocative and thought provoking novel is also avaialble on AMAZON.com.

"In this wonderful world of words, let’s journey together."
