3 1/2*. Slow moving. A high class person, Marvin Lemmons, in Owensboro, SC is killed, and his brother, Willis seems to be involved. But Lorna, owner of O Biscuit baker, and Buford, her schoolhood best friend, who owns BJ Barbers, don't think so. But then the FBI shows up, and things start getting complicated. Meanwhile, Willis' mom, who's been in a coma for a long time, wakes up. Lorna and Buford want to investigate, but there's a lack of suspects since noone exactly knows what Marvin's business was. Then, Lorna also has to deal with a mysterious caller, who claims to know about Marvin, and Lorna's long lost sister, Cathedral.

Not as good as making a place a character as Karen White's books.
