System Integration Chronicles #3

A Hard Reckoning: The System Integration Chronicles Book 3

Rate this book
The Black Baron is dead. The refugees have been settled. Columbia stands stronger than ever.

So why does Caden Taylor feel like everything's about to fall apart?

In the six months since the System transformed Earth, the fifteen-year-old sharpshooter has grown from awkward freshman to junior commander of one of the region's most capable adventuring teams. He's navigated politics, led combat operations, and somehow found time to fall for Emily Bridger—the girl who keeps calling him on his crap.

But the world isn't done testing him.

An organized orc kingdom controls the territory west of Columbia. A dungeon has been spawning reinforcements for seven months. And when Caden leads a reconnaissance mission into hostile territory, he finds something worse than scattered monsters—an enemy that builds, plans, and conquers.

Emily keeps him grounded. His team keeps him sane. But when the alliance finally stops arguing and starts marching, Caden knows the brutal an unchecked dungeon doesn't just spawn monsters—it builds armies.

The question isn't whether they can win.

It's what kind of leader he'll be when victory demands a price.

The System doesn't care about fairness. Neither does war.

A Hard Reckoning continues the System Integration Chronicles—progression fantasy where the levels come with weight and the XP costs more than numbers.
