Being Chosen is the second book in Tbe Baker, the Genius and the Rockstar romance series.
Lily Ward is a nineteen-year-old college student who loves to bake, has a heart of gold but a head filled with thoughts of self doubt. She’s a young woman with beautiful curves, big brown eyes, curly hair, and gorgeous brown skin. Despite all of this, she feels like she’s “an ugly duckling that never turned into a beautiful swan as promised”.
Cash Whittaker is the thirty-nine-year-old lead singer of the band Black Rose. He’s a giant of a man with long blond hair, blue eyes and colorful tattoos. He’s not looking for love, marriage or babies. His main concern is taking care of his mom, looking out for his younger brother and hoping his band gets signed.
Jonathan Cambridge is the thirty-year-old man with dark brown hair and eyes, a broad chest with a swimmer’s physique, trim waist and defined abs. He has been working since he was eighteen to build Cambridge International. He’s the CEO and a workaholic.
This book begins where book one leaves off. The reader is greeted by a sobbing Lily on the dressing room floor of her ex-boyfriend and lead singer of the band, Black Rose, Cash. He may have left her on their wedding day but he never stopped loving her. Discovering that her boyfriend, Jonathan, just broke up with her at the end of the concert, Cash knows he’ll do anything to have Lily back in his life. But, will Jonathan remain out of the picture, or will he realize what he gave up and come back looking to salvage his relationship with her?
What happens when all you’ve ever wanted was to be loved by a man…. but you find two.
One calls her… Angel.
One calls her… Princess
They both want to call her… Mine.
Being Chosen is well written with a captivating storyline and moves at a moderate pace. The characters, both main and secondary, are relatable and engaging. The author has given this story heart, hope and humor. The following tropes BWWM, Age Gap, Grumpy/Sunshine, Morally Gray Heroes, Curvy FMC, Love Triangle create a wonderfully intense dynamic within this story. This book ends in a cliffhanger and will continue in Book 3. The books must be read in order.
