The book attempts to explore restraint and the importance of control through its unique storyline.
Unfortunately, due to its ambiguous storytelling and lack of character development, I found chapters and conversations difficult to follow. Its structure was choppy, disallowing the story to convey its complex ideas, and the publication itself was not formatted well; some chapters in Bold type, others lacking a heading. The character of Clara was also introduced to Evelyn/the reader twice, I believe in error.
The Epilogue was satisfying and believe that Evelyn had an admirable character arc.
With some additional editing, and refining the ideas considered throughout, the book hosts potential to thrill its readers.
