This history of the baptists really proves that baptist doctrine has been the view of the most faithful believers throughout the centuries. The thing that helped me most from this book was 1. to be encouraged, knowing that their were many throughout the ages that did not bow the knee ot Baal. Second, it humbled me, showing me that I am no one special, but just one of the many that served Christ before. I think he sometimes fluffs his numbers a little bit, like when he discussed the Lollards and Hussites. He also uses too many exclamation marks. However, it is a very interesting, scholarly, and documented work.
