Imagine waking up in a dark romance book you just dnf’d, that happens to Sasha. She wakes up as Eve an extra character in the book she just put away. The book wasn’t really her style she prefers to read fantasy but after a friend covinced her, she picked it up. Now she lives in the book as one of the characters. The only strange thing that keeps happening is she keeps meeting the male lead of the book, Yohan. They can never be together if the author didn’t write it that way. Eve is an extra and not the female lead writen for Yohan. Can they fight against the system and rewrite their story?
This book was amazing, I loved it so much and I needed book 2 like yesterday. The concept of this book as reincarnating as one of the characters is something that really intrigued me. So when Chelsea asked me if I wanted to read her book, I needed to find out what it was all about. I can tell you it was fantastic. I loved this book and all it’s characters except for Ryan. I wouldn’t really see the book they live in as a dark romance but that is maybe cause I have read darker romance, there were dark elements in this book which made it feel more dark romance than just a romance book. Yohan was such an interesting loveable character with a sad childhood, his brother and sister were also lovely characters who cared so much for him. The flowershop with Eve and her friends was such a found family it was so sweet. The way the book ended it broke my heart I need to read book 2 so badd!!! I can’t wait for it to come out. I need you all to read this book after it comes out February 20 it was so good. I was giggeling, screaming, kicking my feet like yessss this is so goodddd!!!! I hope I have convinced you cause everyone needs to read this book!!

I’m unfortunately DNF-ing this book at 50%. *cries heartbroken tears*
For me, personally, the struggle came down to the style of writing. I think it didn’t suit me. The book uses a unique style of referring to the main characters, with the colour of their eyes or style or colour of their hair even fifty percent into the story. Sure, this may seem like a small thing, but with perspectives that switch midway through a page with no indicators, it can get a bit hard to constantly place people for the colour of their eyes or style of their hair. The “onyx eyed man said” or the “short bob woman said”, or “the brunette said” even after all their names and roles were introduced was a bit hard for me to keep track of personally.
I did also feel like that the characters felt a bit like … cards? I don’t know how else to describe it. It was like the characters were cut out cards that read: “CEO, cunning, grumpy” or “entrepreneur, gentle, loving”, but nothing beyond that. This is of course an example, but essentially I felt a lack of depth beyond them displaying some traits.
Personally the book wasn’t for me, but if you choose to pick it up I hope you like it!

Imagine DNF’ing a book… and then waking up inside it. Yep. That’s Sasha’s reality, and honestly? Relatable panic.
Sasha never expected her second life to come with footnotes and spoilers, but once her memories return, she realizes she knows this story, or at least the version she abandoned. Armed with future knowledge and a whole lot of skepticism, she’s determined not to get railroaded by a plot she already didn’t love the first time around.
Then there’s him. The raven-haired, grumpy business owner who feels ripped straight from her dream journal. He’s guarded, emotionally bruised by the loss of his mother, and saddled with a father who clearly failed the parenting handbook. He’s all sharp edges and quiet pain, and Sasha can’t tell if he’s the male lead she’s supposed to fall for… or the heartbreak she’s meant to avoid.
What makes Love Me the Same shine is the meta-awareness. Sasha questions everything: the romance beats, the characters’ motives, even her own feelings. Fate versus free will becomes the real tension, can she change the story, or is she doomed to repeat it?

I just finished Love Me the Same, and wow—this book was an emotional roller coaster 🎢💔. Eve, our FMC, wakes up inside a book she previously DNF’d 📖😳, which immediately hooked me. She’s quiet and timid, yet incredibly strong-willed 💪✨, and she reminded me so much of the anime characters I love watching 🎌💫.
Yohan, the MMC, is the hot-headed vice president of a tech company 🔥💼, and learning about his childhood absolutely broke my heart 💔😭. The story starts as a quick, easy, and fairly lighthearted read ☕📖—but the second half? Total emotional chaos 😭😮💨🎢.
And that ending… WOW 😳💥. I’m still thinking about it. Off to hunt down my next read 📚✨💖.

This book started off in an extra finding out that she has been sucked into a book. What can I say? I was brought into each and every book that I wanted to be sucked into. I was intrigued. But as an extra, the FMC was very much detached from the book's "main events" and there was a sense of aloofness when it came to her life. Of course, you can't help but love the grumpy vs. sunshine trope and this one had it all over.

First of all, let me say that the premise itself is very unique. Imagine DNF-ing a book, only to wake up literally inside it with no prior knowledge to help you navigate through the plot. That kinda sucked for Eve 😂
While I admit that this blurb had hooked me instantly, I’m a bit sad that the whole process of being isekai-d to the book inside wasn’t too fleshed out. Eve just wished to live inside a book and then BAM, next thing she knew she’s inside ‘Black Opium’. There as no fanfare, no overly described magical scenario that triggered such a phenomenon.
I also thought the relationship between Eve and Yohan felt a little insta love. They had crossed paths like twice or thrice before the romantic feelings started. It could be more believable if it was just some kind of infatuation or even a crush at first, then they get to know each other more deeply before falling in love. But when Eve found out that Yohan was the main lead and mistaken the real female lead as his girlfriend, she was absolutely devastated already 😅. I had hoped there were more interactions between the lead before their love story developed. This might only be me too, but I really wanted more character development for Yohan than just being a broody, I-hate-the-world-except-Eve. But I guess as the MMC of a dark romance novel, he was supposed to act that way.
I honestly thought this was a standalone! Imagine my surprise when I read the ending. One of my wishes was that the isekai would be more discussed in this book. It would definitely be more high stakes if “canon” stood against the lovers. I guess the sequel would tackle more on this and maybe touch on the reason why it happened to Sasha/Eve.
As for the writing style, it was easy to read. I’d like for more diverse sentence construction however. The author was fond of using present participles as the start of sentences (example: “Swinging the umbrella in her hand, Eve…”) and while it can be used correctly, there is a danger of creating ‘dangling participles’. Also, the author was fond of describing the characters with either their eyes or their hair (“the amber eyed girl”, “the raven haired man”) which can be repetitive.
Overall, it had a very interesting concept and I still enjoyed reading it.

Premysleli ste si to poriadne? Pretože sa môže stať, že knihu nedočítate a ona vás potom (ako naschvál 🙄) vtiahne do svojho deja.
Toto sa stalo Sashi, ktorá DNF-la dark romancu Black Opium a ocitla sa tak ako vedľajšia postava Eve v príbehu. Nebolo by na tom nič zlé, keby sa nezamilovala do Yohana, temperamentného hlavného hrdinu knihy. Aj napriek tomu, že sa mu Eve snaží vyhýbať, knižný osud sa ich snaží spojiť. Môže sa z vedľajšej postavy stať partnerka hlavného hrdinu?
Pôvodne som túto recenziu chcela pridať na moje narodeniny, pretože je pre mňa tak trošku špeciálna, ale povedala som si, že netreba otáľať.
Prečo je špeciálna? Sama autorka sa mi ozvala do správy, že by bola veľmi rada, keby som si túto jej knihu (ako ARC) prečítala a zrecenzovala. 😭❤️ Tak poďme na to!
LMTS je isekai contemp romanca (v skratke je to v podstate prevtelenie) - hl. hrdinka Sasha z reálneho sveta sa prebudí v inom svete, v tomto prípade ako knižná hrdinka Eve. Je to prvá kniha v interconnected standalone sérii Novena. Vychádza 20. 2. 2026❗️
Táto kniha je naozaj originálna - osobne som sa s podobným námetom nestretla a keby aj áno, očakávala by som, že sa Sasha prevtelí do hlavnej hrdinky knihy. Tu však nie.
Číta sa naozaj rýchlo a ľahko, no v deji je veľmi veľa dier a skokov, ktoré si počas čítania všimnete (napr. akým spôsobom sa Sasha dostala do knihy). Príbeh sa sústredí predovšetkým na vzťah Eve a Yohana, no ja som medzi nimi chémiu necítila – bol to taký insta-slow-burn-love. Možno to bude aj tým, že po dlhej dobe som čítala knihu písanú v 3. osbe. 🤷🏼♀️ Stále je to však milé oddychové čítanie.
Čo ale musím knihe vytknúť, je príliš časté používanie opisu hl. hrdinov, doslova niekedy v každej vete (dievča s jantárovo-hnedými očami, muž s havraními vlasmi…) namiesto ich mena/prezývky. Pôsobilo to veľmi rušivo. Ak si odmyslím „diery v plote“, chýba mi dark romance vibe, keďže obaja sú postavy v dark romance knihe. Inak je kniha celkom fajn.
Ak ste fanúšikmi kníh ako trilógia Atramentový svet, či debutu @ronnie.rune.author Stránky atramentu, potom si aj pri tejto knihe prídete na svoje. 😊

Imagine being recommended a book that never appealed to you, and then suddenly waking up as a character in it.
Sasha is a young woman who decides to give a viral hit book called "Black Opium" a try. However, dark romance isn't really her thing. Bored and wishing she could wake up in a book, she teleports herself to the one she's been reading and takes on the role of Eve, a florist and background character; But she's lucky enough to meet a young man with a tragic past named Yohan (who seems very interested in her and is hiding more than just his cold nature).
What will life hold for Sasha/Eve? What is Yohan's true nature?
I ventured into what I thought would be a Dark Romance, and it turned out to be more Romance than Dark (almost nothing, really), but I ended up with insomnia and a broken heart.
This book is a found family story, an Isekai (translated from Japanese: another world), romance, and personal growth story. The interesting thing is that it doesn't begin with the protagonist's past life; rather, it plunges you into an ordinary day in that world with the protagonist already living her new identity.
I found Eve's character very sweet; she poured her heart out on the page and was very emotional. It made me laugh at some moments and sigh at others.
On the other hand, Yohan carries the consequences of being the younger brother who never received love, and when he does, he doesn't know how to handle it.
The best part of the book is the secondary characters: Yohan's siblings love him so much and Eve's coworkers at the flower shop act like a family who truly care for her.
I probably don't have anything to say about negative points, because I don't usually read much in English.

I always love when the book included its reader in the plot, and it’s a refreshing one to have a reader getting into a book that she dnf-ed before in this one!
I enjoyed the plot, it goes smoothly and also a good slow burn. Managed to make me smile, giggles, feeling cute with the characters and some parts are cliches from like dramas or so but not came up as annoying, so it’s nicely done. The plot and characters kinda gave manhwas vibes too, feeling cute and bubbly while go on with their story.
This book is written in multiple styles mixed altogether, mainly 3rd person pov. I’m not really a fan of that but it’s okay in this book. The mixed writing styles aren’t confusing as well, it’s just that sometimes I didn’t get the full feeling of that I should get from some of the scenes, as some part of those styles made the sentences doesn’t really delivers for me. It’s not bad though, still okay, still get the point. This is my first time reading the author’s book, so if this is her style or branding, then it’s fine though, no problem at all.
Overall, it’s such an enjoyable reading. I was so invested in their story that the ending got me like ‘OMG WHAT AHH PLEASEEE!’ and I’m definitely looking forward for the next book (if any) - the ending was like, yes we expected that, but still felt like an unfinished business due to us hoping for them, maybe? It’s concluded somehow but still, need moreee hahah but yeahhh this is an enjoyable reading indeed! 💘

Don’t we all wish to wake up in our favorite story only this wasn’t. This beautiful grumpy x sunshine story has the FMC waking up in the story she DNF.
The friendship between Sasha/Eve, Estelle, Kun and Theressa was sweet and gave found family vibes. I love that they were always there for each other. Kohan is a grumpy business owner who is soft when it comes to Eve.
The slowburn and emotional angst had me immersed. Love doesn’t need to be loud to make an impact on others.

This was a cozy, easy read that I finished over a couple of evenings. I loved the overall vibe and the fun premise.
That said, I do think it helps to go in with the right expectations. The initial transmigration/isekai moment happens very quickly and felt a little abrupt, and I kept hoping for more explanation of how the “original book” influenced the characters’ lives. I also noticed some repetitiveness in phrasing and descriptions that pulled me out here and there.
All in all, I had a good time with it. I have some beef with the ending, though, and it made me wonder if this isn’t the last we’ll see of these characters.

What happens when you DNF a book? Well, I guess you might end up a character in that book. I love getting lost in a book and wishing I was that character. Eve ends up a side character in the book and we all know side characters usually don't get the grand romance. Well the rules change and Eve and Yohan are swept up in a romance. I loved how this was a slow build, like most relationships. Yohan isn't good with people let alone women. Eve is the sunshine to his grumpy. Love doesn't play by the rules and is able to conquer all. At least that's what we're lead to believe but there is a cliffhanger ending.

Seriously didn't expect the plot twist. Kudos to the author for that. Now I'd like to see more of it in mainstream isekai manga. I love our FL! Eve was one of the most realistic characters out of all the reincarnation stories I have read.
The cover is stunning. It highlights the intensity of Yohan's emotions, though it takes a while to see him like that because this is a slow burn.
This will definitely be one of my comfort book to reread when bored. It has dual endings for a reason 👏👏

Absolutely loved this book. Could not put it down. This was such a unique plot and it was so well done. This was such a different take on reincarnation and her living in a book she DNF’d - just so cool.
I loved the slow burn and yearning in this book and how soft Yohan was for Eve.
The ending 😭😭😭 and cliffhanger. I wish I could jump to book 2.

Thank you for letting me be a ARC reader! First off this story is so beautifully written the pacing is a slow burn for sure but in the best way. The MFC DNF a book only to wake up in the book she didn’t want to finish. Now I’ll think twice before DNF a book. 😂 the ending was so beautiful had me crying like a baby but happy tears! I can’t wait read more from this author!

This was a different book but a book I enjoyed. Waking up in a book that you DNF is wild but good. It started off as a slow burn and then got emotional. Yohan’s childhood broke my heart and makes you understand why he is like he is. The ending is just broke my heart again. 😭

If I have to describe this book in one word, butterfly. Reading this book genuinely gave me butterflies. I'm fortunate to be accepted as the ARC reader for a very unique story where the MC, Eve/Sasha was reborn in the book she dnf and the story was told from her point of view as an extra character. What an amazing start to a series! I can't wait to see what happens next in Book 2. I'm thinking of getting the pretty paperback as a trophy for myself later.
