The next book of the series! The Water Mage (Book 5):
A water-borne plague is raging across the Lake Country. Some people are making a fortune off the epidemic. Others are paying with their lives. And I’m the only one who senses what’s waiting in the depths.
I am a water mage, and the element trusts me with its secrets. Natural anomaly, cunning plot, or outright dark magic?
Whatever it is, I’ll haul the truth up from the bottom, for the waters won’t run clean until I do.
Every meal, every room, every house, every person, and every street described in minute detail. The middle of this book is so full of fluff, it could have been reduced to about 100 pages. I liked the characters, and the actual story is decent, but come on, cut back on the useless information. The ending was horrible also. What is it with authors who think a cliff hanger at the end of a book in a series is a good idea...
I received a review copy of this book. The Water Mage is book 4 in this series, and it's a pretty good one. It appears the main character is done accepting the way things are, and wants to do some clean up. Good for him. Not a whole of progress on the main theme up to now, but the tainted water does get a small bit of coverage, but it's great to see some advancement in his relations with others as well. Really liking this series, looking forward to the next one.
I love a good adventurous story. This book was that in spades. Villians! Danilo the best water mage, ever! Water elements! Dewdrop. As Danilo and Nadia try to stop the powers that be from poisoning water sources, there are many to stop them. They are trying. Will they succeed? Next book- looking forward to it!
This is a great series. But there is nothing I abhor like a cliffhanger. Russian authors seem to love them. A novel should stand by itself, not read like a web serial.
