I teach with this book in my ESL class. It is very useful for jumpstarting conversations about life and culture in America. It is a well-written, interesting book. It is not for beginners. Intermediate-advanced Adult students of ESL can really benefit from this book.

An excellent book for English language learners who are living in the U.S. as it works at the same time as a brief introduction to the American culture (which is not like in T.V.).

Comes with an audio CD and it's perfect to teach/learn American expressions and some of the cultural aspects that would definitely help the learner understand the words in an authentic context. The conversations and topics are authentic-like and that's what I like best about this book. Everything sounds so real. Would definitely recommend to English students.

This has a lot of good teaching materials. The stories are individual. If you try to follow a story line from one story to the next, it will become utterly confusing.
