THE CONTINUING QUEST TO FIND THEIR DESTINY... Ciarán Rhys, Captain of the merchant ship Northern Star and his First Officer, Triya Noeh, journey to a mysterious world that has drawn them through dreams and visions all their lives but they unknowingly carry with them an arcane jewel that could usher in the planet’s destruction.Angelus is a far-distant, Eden-like world that is home to two intelligent non-human species and hosts a mushroom fruit that prevents aging. The telepathic Wombies resemble upright koalas except larger. The Àdain, the world’s rulers, appear angel-like when they communicate with humans. The existence of Angelus has been kept secret for 50 years to prevent its exploitation.
When the secret is about to become known those who discovered Angelus obtain Coalition Navy protection of the world in exchange for access to an anti-aging compound they will manufacture from the mushroom. The need for a faster means of shipping their product lead the entrepreneurs to Northern Star Trading company. Accepting the trading opportunity would take Northern Star far from their known markets, disrupting the company's business. Ciarán and Triya must decide whether Angelus is the world they are being called to. What they may learn about themselves in going there could be as far removed from their preconceptions as Angelus is from the rest of the human-inhabited galaxy. There are powers, both human and supernatural, who have a different future in mind for them.
