More of a 3.5 star rating; I really enjoyed seeing how Tomo’s feelings for Medaka was handled by not only herself, but also when it came to how her feelings could’ve now impacted her friendship with Mona. It was a cute moment to see that nothing would change in their friendship and that this revelation actually made the girls closer. It was also interesting to see not only Medaka and Mona, but other characters navigating the incoming holiday session and what that meant for their schooling. Also, I really liked that we got to see a glimpse into Mona’s home life with her family in the last bit of this volume. I hope to see more of her family and even some insight into Medaka’s home life in future volumes. Overall, I really liked this volume and I’m curious to see what happens next.

I remember what happened in this volume from the anime and it’s actually better manga-wise. With anime there’s times when you miss the subtle nature of what’s happening because of how quickly things are moving. The anime was fine don’t get me wrong, but the manga has superior artwork and things come across better I believe. And how can’t you not love Tomo more, especially when she tries so hard not to have bitch face constantly. I love Mono, but Tomo is as good a character. Loving this manga more and more.
There’s a very horribly written chapter but overall the rest is still good, having the study group was nice, got to see the cast in nice outfits, Mona has funny parents, there could be progress next volume 👀👀

This is a series that I feel could fall into the trap of dragging it out a bit too long, not there yet cause I'm actually really enjoying the developments but it could get there at some point. Here's hoping it doesn't!
