I read Snowberry Inn – Book 1 knowing it wasn’t my usual type of read, and I’ll give credit where it’s due: it was cute, easy, and very bite-sized. That said, I don’t think I’d actually recommend it.

The biggest issue for me is the structure. There are multiple books where it feels like there should only be one. This first installment is just 67 pages, and honestly, the entire story could (and should) have been included here rather than broken into tiny fragments. Instead of feeling intrigued, I felt unsettled by how abruptly it ended.

I understand what the author was trying to do, but I don’t understand why it was done this way. Looking at the broader publishing pattern, this feels like a rapid-release setup with 5+ closely related “books” that gives off strong pay-to-read Facebook ad vibes. It made the experience feel more transactional than immersive.

I would have loved to see this concept expanded into a single, full-length novel. With more room to breathe, the story could have been far more satisfying and cohesive. As it stands, it feels incomplete…not in a cliffhanger way, but in a why did this stop here? way.

Even if your not a zillionaire like Corrine's family to be set up with a control freak is equivalent to suicide. Again Ivory writes in a way that makes you as the reader feel as though you are right there with them. Gage gets two thumbs up for his kindness and protection of Corinne. Over all this has been an excellent story. I received this book free from Ivory Fields and I leave this honest review voluntarily.
