Hayden has a bit of a problem. She has a real mean ex-boyfriend, Cole, who's major trouble. So it's understandable that she seeks any close place for safety and assistance at the first chance she gets. She picked a prime spot. Now she has 3 protective men (Carter, Sawyer, and Bodie) who want to help. I enjoyed this hot & sweet romance story.

I really enjoyed this steamy reverse harem romance. Hayden and her three men were immensely likeable and engaging characters. The progression of their romantic journey was fun, flirty, spicy and sweet, despite the overarching threats brought to the quartet by Hayden's jealous and dangerous ex, Cole. There was plenty of drama, some interesting twists, and a lot of intimate scenes between Hayden, and 1, 2 & 3 of her lovers. Hayden's openness, adventurous spirit and insatiable attraction to Carter, Sawyer and Bodie was refreshing to read and I appreciated that the author wrote such a strong, smart, empathetic and brave female character.

So much happening

With so much going on in this book that at times I just felt lost. I was constantly turning back pages in case I had missed something because what I was reading was not making sense. The mafia mob was an unnecessary interruption and added nothing to the story. The betrayal by Amy was one that hurt deeply and Hayden should have left her. The guys obviously had a thing for Hayden and the steamy side showed it all.

Protecting Angel is everything I want in a Krista Wolf reverse harem romance—protective, possessive heroes, strong emotional bonds, and plenty of heat. Angel is a relatable heroine who’s been through a lot, and watching her slowly learn to trust again was just as satisfying as the romance itself.
The men are distinct, intense, and fiercely devoted, each bringing something different to the dynamic. The chemistry builds beautifully, balancing steamy moments with genuine connection and comfort. I also loved the found-family vibe and the way the story focuses on protection, healing, and unconditional support.
If you enjoy reverse harem romances with protective alphas, emotional depth, and plenty of spice, this book is an easy recommendation. Krista Wolf delivers once again, and I couldn’t put it down.

OMG! What a FANtastic read! The girl in danger and the three swoon worthy protectors. *sigh*

The characters drove the storyline and they were very compelling and complex and complicated and perfectly steamy together. World building was excellent and impressive. I think the MFC was written TSTL cause we learn she willing went back to her monster 10yrs later. I thought okay: dumb but maybe this book will be okay. Then she responds to one of the guys: "He's an idiot no doubt," I admitted, grabbing a mug with a bunch of words on it. "But he's my idiot, and this is my mess. I'm the one who was stupid enough to get myself back into this. I'll take care of it."
If she wants to "take care of it" herself then what was the point of even walking into their bar in the 1st place?

This book was such an awesome read. Hayden walks into a bar to get away from her crazy ex. The bar is where Hayden meets Carter, Sawyer, and Bodie. The way the men are with Hayden had me swooning. They are protective from the get go. And there is plenty of steamyness in this book, that is for sure. I enjoyed reading every single minute of this book.
