See below for each stories separate review.
Book 1 Love Me Dangerous Wow! Such an amazing read! Even though this is a new series for Dakota it features Zach from the Wild Hearts Series. This story can be read as a stand alone but if you’re a fan like me then reading Wild Hearts introduces you to the man that did the only thing he could do, which was leave Alaska to protect himself and his loved ones. This story had me captivated from the first chapter. In true “Dakota style” this story has a mix of danger, intrigue and a mystery to try and solve. Multiple encounters with a gorgeous woman ends up unknowingly leading Zach to Finn River, Idaho. With them both inevitably meeting up again their friendship begins. With so much happening this story really heats up. Danger is too close. Sofie and Zach have some tender and steamy moments, but can anything come of their feelings when he needs to at some stage return home to make everything right. I loved the new and the old characters that intertwined in this story and look forward to more stories in Finn River. It was a fantastic start to a new series, I’d gladly give this story more than 5 stars if I could. I love audiobooks and this was the most amazing audiobook narration. Both Laura Horowitz and Robert Hatchet were superb in their roles of Sofie and Zach - in my opinion, excellent and at times so scorchingly hot 🔥🔥 I loved listening to every minute of it. I thoroughly recommend both this ebook and audiobook.
Book 2 Love Me Reckless Wishing. Wanting. Having. Can she have it all? This is the second book in the Love me Dangerous series which I found to be an absolute delight to read. I loved how the characters from the first book play such a big part in this story and that some from the Wild Hearts series even made an appearance. They all came together beautifully and tie into the overall story. With an element of danger and sabotage adding to the mix this was a really captivating story with deliciously steamy parts as well. Sawyer was keen to leave Alaska behind and start afresh in Finn River where Zach his best friend had found his home. On arriving in town, at a party Sawyer is instantly attracted to a very beautiful woman which he later finds out is off limits. Friendship seems to be their lot and he spends an evening getting to know her. For the sake of saving the family business Kirilee is doing her duty and marrying a person she doesn’t have any interest in. Can she be brave and follow her heart or is she destined to be in an unhappy relationship forever wishing for more. I both read the ebook and had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook. I’ll now be waiting patiently to devour the third story of the series - Ava and Hutch. I absolutely loved this audiobook narration and enjoyed listening to every minute of it. Both Laura Horowitz and Robert Hatchet were superb in their roles of Sawyer & Kirilee. I thoroughly recommend both the ebook and audiobook.
Book 3 Love Me Fearless A brilliant edition to the Love Me Dangerous series. Ava and Hutch have been best friends since 4th grade until one night changes everything. Their friendship as they knew it imploded and six long, lonely years have gone by. Both mourning the loss of their friendship and unsure of how to get it back. Zach, coming home to help at the family farm while his mum recuperates finds himself face to face with Ava, the only woman he adores. Can they put the past behind them and start a fresh? In true Dakota style this story delves into past mysteries and adds more danger to the mix, leaving you questioning just who is doing this to the people of the small town of Finn River. With danger, mystery, reconnection, steamy scenes and loveable characters this was an excellent read. Can’t wait to read Love Me Fierce - Vivian and Everett’s story and see what happens with the evil the town next faces. I read the ebook as well as listened to the audiobook and loved Laura Horowitz and Robert Hatchet’s narration. They played the roles of Hutch and Ava to perfection with their performances adding another depth to the storyline.

✨My thoughts✨
I first listened to book one in 2024 and have since been wanting to continue this series, so I jumped at the chance to sign up for this ALC.
Love Me Dangerous
This was my first Dakota Davies book and I really enjoyed it. It’s a small town romantic suspense with secrets, character growth and found family.
My experience with this book is precisely the reason I like to read. I’d had a hectic few weeks and this book was the vacation in a small mountain town that I needed. The pace is a bit slow, after some initial excitement at the beginning of the book, which I’m usually not a fan of, but I found this pace rather soothing and nice. There’s a slow build-up of suspense and then in the last 20% the story picks up and we get a lot of action and questions answered.
Zach and Sofie are such lovely, relatable characters and it was really nice to watch how their friendship grew and blossomed into more. They’re multi-layered characters whose personalities we uncover over time and the author did a great job keeping me curious to learn more about them.
The community in Finn River is what makes me want to continue the series. They’re so friendly and supportive and so welcoming to Zach. They really helped him heal and trust again. There’s a really big found family aspect to this story. And I loved the ending. It turned out exactly how it was supposed to and I suspect this book is going to become a comfort read for me.
Love Me Reckless
I really enjoyed the emotional journey of this story. Kirilee and Sawyer are from different worlds, Sawyer is trying to carve out a new life for himself in Finn River, while Kirilee is being pushed by her wealthy father into a life she doesn’t want. She is engaged to someone else for a large chunk of the story so we get to see a slow build-up of friendship between Kirilee and Sawyer that turns into more (no cheating). Sawyer helps her complete a bucket list before she gets married and along the way she learns to fight for what she really wants so she can have her happily ever after.
This one was a little light on the suspense, but it still added depth to the story.
Again, the friend group features prominently in this story, adding warmth and humour.
Love Me Fearless
This is my favourite out of the three. It’s the most suspenseful story, and I’m a sucker for a best friends to lovers story. It’s also the spiciest.
Ava and Hutch have been friends since childhood, but long-buried feelings finally surface one night when they give in to their desire, only for doubts to push them apart for six years. The push and pull of their relationship was deliciously torturous – the fear of ruining the friendship they already had keeping them from admitting their feelings and taking the love they deserve. I loved how their bond withstood time, distance, and so many things left unsaid. Hutch’s protectiveness over Ava never wavered, and her love for him had her pulling double duty – helping out on his family farm before heading to work at her paediatric practice.
Like the previous books in this series, the found family element is strong and I enjoyed seeing how their friend group supports each other.
The suspense had me hooked from start to finish. Unlike book two, where the suspense was lighter and mainly appeared in the third act, this storyline runs throughout the entire book. If you enjoy police procedurals or crime dramas, you’ll like the suspense in this book. I also loved the hint of a cliffhanger left at the end of this book. I will definitely be picking the next book up soon.
Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz did a great job narrating this boxset. I always enjoy Robert Hatchet’s performances, and these books were no exception. He even sings in book two, which was such a treat – his singing voice is warm and soothing. He drew me in with his portrayal of the male characters, endearing me to Zach at the beginning of book one even when we weren’t sure he was entirely a good guy. He conveyed empathy, protectiveness, determination, and vulnerability with ease, making each character feel layered and emotionally grounded.
Laura Horowitz impressed me just as much. Her voicing of male characters is so convincing that I’m always excited when she narrates in dual. I also really enjoyed her portrayals of the female characters, conveying strength, compassion, and love of family. Together, both narrators consistently kept me invested in the characters’ happiness and wellbeing. They skilfully expressed the full range of emotions, making it easy to connect with each story and feel immersed in the world.
*I received an advance copy from The Author Agency. These opinions are entirely my own.
4 Star Review Love Me Dangerous Series 1-3 by Dakota Davies
Audio: Love Me Dangerous: Dakota Davies is a relatively new author to me as was the narrators Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz. I found this book to be entertaining with a good balance of suspense and romance. In fact I was surprised by a number of the twists and turns:
This is Zach and Sofie’s story set in Finn River, and it was full of danger and suspense and had me on the edge of my seat at times.
I liked the characters and the story was strong and kept me interested and the narrators did a good job of narrating the characters in a variety of voices and brought the story to life for me, doing justice to the story that the author created.
What will happen when Zach’s secrets are revealed, will it bring them together or rip them apart?
Love Me Reckless: Dakota Davies is a relatively new author I found this book to be entertaining with a good balance of suspense and romance. In fact I was surprised by a number of the twists and turns.
This is Kirilee St. Claire and Sawyer Reed’s story set in Finn River, and it was full of emotion, friendship and being there for someone who needs you, no matter what.
I liked the characters and the story was engaging. The narrators did a good job of narrating the characters in a variety of voices and brought the story to life for me, doing justice to the story that the author created.
What will happen when Kirilee stands up to her family and her overbearing jerk of a fiancé Birch? What will happen when Sawyer’s past comes back to haunt him?
I voluntarily listened and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

What will happen when Ava is put in danger? Will Hutch be able to use his military training to protect the woman who has come to mean so much to him?
Set in the small town of Finn River, this interconnected standalone series follows the growing relationships of three couples, blending romance, suspense, mystery, and spice in a way that becomes more addictive with each installment. While each book can be read on its own, there’s definitely an added richness to experiencing them in order as the town, characters, and overarching tension continue to build. Plus, I loved both narrators and loved hearing their different performances for each hero/heroine. Each story layers emotional connection with suspenseful twists, and the series genuinely improves as it goes, raising both the stakes and the emotional impact. Dakota is new to me, but I really enjoyed this series so far.
Love Me Dangerous introduces Sofie and Zach, whose relationship begins with tension and mistrust and evolves into a compelling frenemies-to-lovers dynamic. Watching their lives intertwine as attraction slowly chips away at their defenses was both satisfying and believable. Their push-and-pull chemistry made this a strong start to the series.
My personal favorite is book two, Love Me Reckless, featuring Kirilee and Sawyer. Their relationship is built on friendship, mutual support, and growth, and I loved how they challenged each other to become better versions of themselves. The emotional connection here felt especially grounded and heartfelt.
Love Me Fearless delivers on one of my favorite trope: best friends to lovers. Ava and Hutch share a lifelong bond that gives their story a deep emotional foundation. Their feelings for each other both complicate and strengthen their relationship, resulting in a romance that is tender, passionate, and deeply satisfying when it finally ignites.
The audiobook narration by Laura Horowitz and Robert Hachet elevates the entire experience. Their performances add depth and emotion to each character, bringing Finn River and its residents vividly to life. The dual narration works beautifully across all three stories and makes the box set especially immersive. I appreciated too the nuances and variations they had for each characters. Same narrators, but each book felt like a fresh performance.
I thoroughly enjoyed this collection and loved watching Finn River unfold through each couple’s journey. This is a series that builds momentum with every book, and I’m already looking forward to listening to more from this world.
Love Me Dangerous Audiobook Boxed Set I by Dakota Davies Narrated by Robert Hatchet & Laura Horowitz
This boxed set made it really easy to settle into Finn River and just stay there for a while. I enjoy the way Dakota Davies blends romance with suspense, and listening to the first three books together highlights that balance nicely. Each story stands on its own, but the town and overlapping characters give the whole set that familiar, small-town feel I always appreciate.
Love Me Dangerous kicks things off with Zach and Sofie. Zach’s past is never far behind him, and Sofie ends up being much more than the safe place he thought he was passing through. I liked how their relationship unfolded alongside the tension instead of being rushed. It sets the tone for the series and lets both the romance and the suspense build naturally.
Love Me Reckless shifts to Sawyer and Kirilee and has a different energy right from the start. There’s a fun, slightly reckless edge to their story, but underneath that is a lot of quiet questioning about the life Kirilee thinks she’s supposed to want. Sawyer’s steadiness balanced her perfectly, and I enjoyed watching that friendship turn into something deeper.
Love Me Fearless is Ava and Hutch’s story and probably leans the most into emotional history. They have years of unfinished feelings between them, and the story explores what happens when timing finally catches up, even when danger is still very much in the picture. The suspense felt tighter here, and the emotional payoff really worked for me.
On audio, Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz continue to be a great duo. Their voices fit the tone of this series well, and listening straight through all three books felt smooth and immersive. They handle both the quieter emotional moments and the higher-stakes scenes with ease.
Overall, this was a solid, engaging boxed set that delivers romance, suspense, and that comforting small-town connection. It’s a great pick if you like interconnected standalones where each couple gets their own story, but the town itself feels just as important. Thank you to Dakota Davies and The Author Agency for the opportunity to listen.
Love Me Dangerous: Zach & Sofie This was my least favorite of the boxset, I struggled a bit to get into it. But there wasn’t anything wrong with it either. Zach and Sofie were destined to end up together. Zach kept having to rescue Sofie. There was a good amount of suspense in this one too.
Love Me Reckless: Sawyer & Kirilee Sawyer is Zach’s friend and when he came to visit, he didn’t just fall in love with the town, but he fell in love with Kirilee. Kirilee, unfortunately, is engaged to another man and is also the daughter to a very rich and powerful family. Kirilee decides she wants to knock things off her bucket list before getting married and Sawyer is there to help her. Sawyer is there for her as a friend, but is also showing her everything that she would be missing out on if she marries this other guy. This was my absolute favorite from this boxset! LOOOOVE Sawyer and Kirilee together.
Love Me Fearless: Hutch & Ava Ava and Hutch (Ryan Hutchins) have been friends most of their lives. But one night after a wedding, something finally happened between them. In the morning, Ava freaked out mostly because she was on her path to be a doctor while Hutch was in the military. Now a few years later, he is back in town again when his mother is sick. And he is trying to understand what happened all those years ago. Ava is still afraid of any feelings for Hutch because he again, is here only temporarily. This one felt the most heavy on the suspense and I was really interested in that.
All of these audios were narrated by Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz. I love Robert Hatchet on suspense audios, there is something about it that just really fits the mood. Laura Horowitz is new to me but I thoroughly enjoyed her performance and the two of them together sounded great.
An ALC opportunity to listen to the first three books in a series over my holiday break? Well, Merry Christmas to me because that’s #1 on my list. And since I was such a good girl this year (ha!), I got the bonus of finding a new-to-me author to love so now I’m hooked on the rest of this series.
This is full of action and suspense, but the characters are what got me hooked from the start. Zach’s secrets pulled me right in and had me on the edge of my seat from the first minutes. Sofie and Zach’s story is sweet and suspenseful with lots of heart and spice. It also introduced the other characters, so I was impatient for the others’ stories before even starting them.
Each couple brings something different as Sofie and Zach are strangers, as are Kirilee and Sawyer, but they’re also Sofie and Zach’s besties so instant friends. Ava and Hutch are lifelong besties who eventually realize they’re more than friends. There’s a quirky town, a fun supporting cast and plenty of mystery to keep you guessing. I loved everything about it and can’t recommend it enough. I’d like to thank the author and The Author Agency for providing an ALC in exchange for an honest review.
I had a great time listening to this set of audiobooks. I was completely captivated by all 3 couples and their storys. This was my first of Dakota Davies and I promise it wont be my last.
This is duet narration by Laura Horowitz and Robert Hatchet. All three storys are narrated by them and at 30hr and 6min its a great deal but I did break up each of the 3 storys with a different audiobook just so I didnt mix up the characters storys. The narrators did a beautiful job and they each brought so much emotion to the storys. Laura is new to me and I couldn't have loved her more. Her tone is beautiful and her ability to convey the full range of characters. Her male voice is very well done. Robert is always a delight I really love his voice. They both brought the story to life.
All of the storys are full of mystery, suspense, tension, pinning, spice and romance. They all take place in a small town in Idaho. The revolve around a growing group a frinds. Each book got even better.
Love Me Dangerous is Zack and Sofie. Zack is mysterious and magnetic, I love how his story slowly unfolds and along the way he becomes even more swoon worthy. His strength and selflessness . Sofie is a spitfire and beautiful soul. I loved waching her give into a friendship that builds to love and forever.
Love Me Reckless is Sawyer and Keirilee's story. Keirilee is such a selfless, beautiful but lost girl. She gives her all to her family just for a terrible man to take advantage. I liked waching her bloom and become whole with the encouragement of her friends and the building friendship of Sawyer. Sawyer is a surprise and the perfect man to help Keirilee. He gives so much of himself. They build a beautiful friendship at becomes and sizzling romance. I love that they are opposites and that Keirilee could care less. The growth between them is perfection.
Love Me Fearless is Hutch and Ava...my favorite of the 3 books. I live the tension and push and pull between these friends to lovers. They both wanted more from then other but didnt know how to go about it. They have stunning chemistry that sizzle. The love is palpable and deep. The bond they have makea this story stand out and creates lots of layers. The mystery is gripping and heartbreaking. Ava is driven, passionate and has big feelings she keeps to herself. Hutch is protective, a family man, observant and selflessness.
I truly cant wait to read the rest of the series.
Thank you to Dakota Davies and The Author Agency for this ALC. These are my honest opinions and feelings.
A compelling set of the first three romantic suspense books in the Love Me Dangerous series—each featuring a different couple in the same small mountain town. The characters are well developed, each has a plot that is unique, engaging and fast paced, and the romances are emotional and steamy. Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz dually narrated all three books, portraying each couple respectively and giving them time to shine. Love Me Dangerous features Zach, a true hero and security guard on the run, where he falls first for his rescuer, Sofia. They were from different worlds but worked together, even when Zach’s dangerous past catches up with him. 4.5 stars Love Me Reckless showcases an unlikely opposites attract romance between blue collar mechanic Sawyer, who helps his wealthy boss’s daughter, the feisty Kirilee, with a secret bucket list. His past and her current unhappy engagement to an unfaithful man are bumps in the road to an eventual happily ever after. 4 stars Love Me Fearless really highlighted the suspense with a sta|ker baddie pursuing the FMC. Meanwhile, a sweet second chance at love between childhood friends developed as Ava, a pediatrician, grapples with her feelings when Hutch, a military hero, arrives home to assist his ailing mother. 4.25 stars The happily ever afters of all three couples were well worth the drama and danger…it was hard to put this series down! Thanks to the author and The Author Agency for the ALC
Set in the small town of Finn River, the novels focus on the burgeoning relationships of three separate couples. These are interconnected standalone stories that you could jump into at any point, but there is an advantage to reading them in order.
Each book contains suspense, mystery, romance, and spice. And this series just gets better and better with each book.
Love Me Dangerous focuses on Sofie and Zach. I love the frenemies element to their relationship, despite the circumstances of their beginning. The more interconnected their lives become, the closer they get and it becomes clear they can't fight their growing attraction.
My personal favorite of this set is book 2, Love Me Reckless, featuring Kirilee and Sawyer. I especially love the friendship that develops between them and how they encourage one another. I love the way they both become better brcause of the other.
Love Me Fearless has my all-time favorite trope - best friends to loves, and Ava and Hutch do not disappoint. I love the lifelong connection they share and how their feelings for ea h other both hinder and enhance their current relationship. There is a tender, deep love in this one thst ignites in the best, and most passionate, of ways.
Laura Horowitz and Robert Hachet do an amazing job with narrating and create a rich depth to the story that breathes so much life into these characters. They do an amazing job.
I truly enjoyed this box set and can't wait to listen to more of this series.
This is the first three stories in the series and they're phenomenal. I loved each book. The characters were likable and believable. And the storyline is written well. I liked the character growth and the small town vibes. Plus the suspense was on point. Then the romance was perfection. These are heartwarming stories that are sure to leave you satisfied.
The narrators Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz did an exceptional job narrating. Their tone was clear and concise. And they brought out the personalities of each character. I loved listening to these narrators. Definitely recommend listening to this.
Thanks to the author and the author agency for an advance copy. My opinions are my own and freely expressed.
I absolutely loved this boxed set and plan to read the next one. The boxed set contains the first 3 stories in an inter-connected series. The stories each gripped me in from the beginning.
The narrators did a phenomenal job, and I will definitely will be looking for more of their work.
Thank you to The Author Agency for the ALC! This has been my voluntary review.

This box set was such a delight! The stories were so well done and the narrators did a wonderful job of bringing the characters and the story to life! Audio is my preferred way to experience a story and this set only reinforced my why. Such a great way to kick off the new year 🥳
I throughly enjoyed all 3 of these stories. Laura Horowitz & Robert Hatchet brought these stories to life. I do think my favorite story overall was Sawer & Kirilee's. Highly recommend them all though!
I really enjoyed the stories in this box set. And I while I loved the narration by Robert Hatchet and Laura Horowitz, they both did an amazing job throughout. With it following 3 different couples it would have been nice to have different narrators HOWEVER I do understand that likely would have been a much bigger cost so I get it. There were some words the author used that kinda took me out of the story and I thought were kinda strange to use but overall I really enjoyed the stories and narration. If you like romance with a little bit of suspense then this is a box set for you!

Dakota Davies is a new-to-me author and she did not disappoint. I've seen her books floating around for a while now but I hadn't gotten to them yet, audiobook form was the perfect opportunity for me to dive right in and let me tell you, I was completely obsessed by the first few chapters of book 1. The narration was done so well. I loved this series and I cannot wait to continue it!
