The woman in the cabin below mine has had my attention since the day she arrived. Watching her was supposed to be enough. It wasn’t.
HENRY
When Natalie Foye moved into the cabin below my ridge, I told myself I was just keeping an eye on her.
She’s too much like someone I once failed to save. I tell myself the cameras are about protection. That the watching is about making sure no one gets close enough to hurt her.
But the truth is darker than that.
I step out of the shadows before I ever should.
And once I do, there’s no going back.
Then her ex shows up at her door, and the second I hear him put his hands on her, I don’t hesitate.
I should have been her safety.
Instead, I’m the man who was already watching and crossing lines. The man who wants her badly enough to justify every twisted thing I’ve done.
And now that I’ve touched her, I’m done pretending I don’t intend to keep her.
NATALIE
The cabin was supposed to be my reset. A fresh start where no one knew my past and no one asked questions.
I noticed my neighbor almost immediately.
The hot paramedic ranger on the next ridge. Intense in a way that made me nervous even before I knew why.
He doesn’t ask permission to protect me. He just does it.
And the worst part is, some broken part of me feels safer for it.
Then my ex finds me. Before I can figure out what to do, Henry is there, tearing him off me and standing between us like he was always going to.
But Henry Beck isn’t just possessive. He’s obsessive. And the closer I get to him, the more I realize the man making me feel protected is also the man who’s been watching me all along.
Neighbors Secret Crush Watching From Afar Obsessive MMC
Stalked by the Ranger is a short romance in the Paramedic Rangers series, a collection of interconnected standalones about rugged first responders who protect their town and break every personal rule along the way. These rangers are trained to brave the wild, save lives, and keep their heads under pressure… until desire gets involved. Each story follows a different intense, protective hero and the woman he can’t resist. Read in any order, in two hours or less, no cliffhangers, and always a guaranteed HEA… even if things get a little dangerous first. 😈
He was supposed to protect her. Instead, he’s already watching.
Natalie comes to Willow Ridge looking for distance, quiet, and a chance to rebuild on her own terms. She’s guarded, tense, and determined not to hand her safety to anyone again, but the man on the ridge above her keeps pulling her in. Henry feels dangerous from the start, and the more he steps into her life, the harder it is to tell where comfort ends and risk begins.
As Natalie starts building something steadier for herself, Henry becomes impossible to ignore. He notices too much, wants too much, and gives her a kind of focused attention that feels both grounding and deeply unsettling. Their connection burns fast, driven by hunger, control, and the fragile relief of feeling wanted in a way that doesn’t feel casual.
As the pressure around Natalie closes in, Henry becomes both the man who makes her feel safest and the one who forces her to question what safety even means. What grows between them is intense, messy, and hard to look away from, built on desire, fear, shame, and the pull of being seen too clearly.
Natalie starts out braced for survival, but over time she has to face how badly she wants softness, control, and choice to exist in the same space. Henry is all obsession, guilt, and possessive instinct, and the darkness in him never feels easy or polished. Together, they move from wary attraction into a high-heat bond where intimacy keeps shifting the power between them, and trust never comes easy.
A dark, ultra-steamy small town romance where obsession, surveillance, and possessive protection blur the line between care and control. It’s about trauma’s aftermath, trust after betrayal, and two damaged people trying to make sense of desire when fear, vulnerability, and longing all get tangled together.
The Elevator Pitch: A woman disappears into the mountains to outrun the man who taught her to fear love, only to find herself drawn to the ranger watching her from the ridge above. He feels like safety, temptation, and danger all at once, and the closer they get, the more desire starts to blur with control. What unfolds between them is dark, feverish, and emotionally charged, where protection comes with a cost and surrender is never simple.
Another fantastic addition to this series! Henry is obsessed with his new neighbour, Natalie just wants to start fresh. Can they both get what they want?
Great characters and HEA make this a great read!.

No one straddles the razor-thin line between stalker and protector quite like Henry Beck, and the unsettling part is that he knows it. When he spots Natalie moving into the isolated cabin tucked beneath the ridge, he doesn’t just notice her, he reads her. The tension in her shoulders, the constant scanning of her surroundings… it’s all too familiar. The last time he saw that kind of fear etched into a woman, he was too late. This time, he vows to keep her safe. At least, that’s what he tells himself. Because watching Natalie isn’t just about protection. Not entirely. Not even close. And Henry is self-aware enough to admit that what he’s doing crosses lines, lines he keeps stepping over anyway. The more he observes, the deeper the fixation sinks in, until “keeping an eye on her” starts to look a lot like something darker. Natalie, for her part, came to the mountains to reclaim the pieces of herself that a suffocating five-year relationship nearly erased. She notices Henry almost immediately. A distant figure on the ridge, always there. Strangely, he doesn’t frighten her. Not exactly. There’s an intensity about him that unsettles her, sure, but it also pulls her in. Their chemistry builds with a slow, steady heat, though I’ll admit it felt a bit of a leap when Natalie dove into a physical relationship so quickly, especially one that edges into kink. But then again, after years of being diminished, maybe being seen, even in this consuming, obsessive way was exactly what she needed. Henry, unsurprisingly, brings intensity to everything, including the bedroom. He doesn’t hold back, verbally or otherwise. When Natalie’s past inevitably comes crashing back, Henry steps in, although it ultimately also reveals that he’s been watching her far longer than she thought. In fact, it almost felt as if he wanted to be caught by leaving all the evidence there for her to find. What makes Henry compelling, though, is that he doesn’t hide behind excuses. He doesn’t pretend his actions are noble or clean. He owns the mess of it, the obsession, the moral gray areas, without ever tipping fully into something irredeemable. And as twisted as it might sound, Natalie’s reaction rings emotionally true: there’s something intoxicating, even comforting, in knowing someone would go that far for you. With its shadows creeping just beneath the surface,” Stalked by the Ranger” leans harder into darker territory than the rest of the series. It’s edgier, a little unsettling, and unapologetically spicy. Perfect for readers who like their romance with a little bite. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
If you love dark, obsessive romance with a protective edge and a hero who blurs every line between right and wrong, Stalked by the Ranger by Bridget Adrienne is a fast-paced, intense read that pulls you in from the very first page.
Natalie comes to the mountains for a fresh start.
No past. No questions. Just quiet.
But peace doesn’t last long—because from the moment she arrives, she’s not as alone as she thinks.
Henry has been watching her.
At first, he tells himself it’s about protection. That she reminds him of someone he couldn’t save. That keeping an eye on her is the right thing to do.
But deep down… he knows it’s more than that.
What makes this story so gripping is that Henry isn’t your typical “good guy” hero. Yes, he’s a ranger. Yes, he saves lives. But when it comes to Natalie, his instincts go beyond protection—they cross into obsession. And the story doesn’t shy away from that tension.
Natalie feels it too.
There’s something about Henry that both unsettles and draws her in. Even before she knows the truth, she senses his intensity—the way he watches, the way he steps in without asking, the way he acts like her safety is already his responsibility.
And when her past crashes back into her life?
Henry doesn’t hesitate.
That moment—when he steps between her and danger—is where everything shifts. Because suddenly, the man who felt too intense… becomes the one she feels safest with.
And that contrast? That’s what makes this story work.
It’s not clean. It’s not simple. But it’s compelling.
If you love: ✨ Dark, obsessive heroes ✨ Protective instincts turned up to the extreme ✨ Neighbor-to-lover tension ✨ “I’ll protect you no matter what” energy ✨ Fast, high-intensity romance
Then this is definitely one to pick up.
🖤 Intense, edgy, and impossible to ignore—this story explores what happens when protection and obsession collide… and the one watching you from the shadows turns out to be the one you can’t let go of.

Stalked by the Ranger (Paramedic Rangers) by Bridget Adrienne ⭐⭐⭐⭐🌶️🌶️🌶️ Standalone * Mention of Domestic Abuse Leading to Death * PTSD * Escaping Abusive Relationship * Stalking * Obsessive/Possessive MMC * He Falls First * Light BDSM * Neighbors * Secret Crush * Watching From Afar * Small Town 📖 68 pages
Yet another wonderful novella by Bridget Adrienne, this one leaning far more into stalker territory. Our main MMC is a small-town paramedic ranger who is just as obsessive and possessive as in her other stories. However, in this one, he isn’t exactly a good guy, he’s morally compromised. As he keeps watch over his new neighbor, who appears to be running from an unhealthy relationship, his obsession takes a darker turn when he installs cameras to monitor her.
This wasn’t my favorite story. Although I do love the stalker trope, I needed a bit more for it to properly land. I’m not sure this trope can be fully explored in a novella, especially with a backstory like our FMC’s. This would have been such a strong setup for a longer story, but unfortunately, 68 pages just didn’t feel like enough to make it believable. And while stories don’t always need to be realistic to work (hello fantasy), this one felt a bit too rushed, especially considering she’s escaping one bad situation only to fall into another. Or maybe our FMC just doesn’t see red flags at all.
I also would have liked a bit more emotional depth from the MMC. It felt like something was missing, I wanted more internal push and pull as he tried to justify his actions between necessary and completely over-the-top.
But regardless, I still very much enjoyed it, so if you’re looking for something fast, short, and smutty with a darker edge, this might be right up your alley.
Stalked By The Ranger by Bridget Adrienne is a short, spicy, mountain man dark stalker romance and is the sixth title in the author's Paramedic Rangers series. The story was well paced for the short format with both main characters, Henry, paramedic ranger, and Natalie, engaging ensuring I was hooked quickly. Natalie has arrived and moved into the remote cabin down the ridge from Henry as an escape and fresh start. She notices the hot ranger and his intensity makes her a little nervous. Henry notices Natalie and feels compelled to keep an eye on her realising she reminds him of someone he couldn't save. Trail cameras pointed at her doors, perimeter checks and entry in to her cabin in the name of protection he knows is wrong but when her ex turns up and threatens Natalie, Henry doesn't hesitate rushing to her aid. Henry's offer of safety and protection manifests and the steamy and spicy moments unravel Natalie and truths come out leading to some healing and acceptance for the both of them and a satisfying HEA.

This one was a bit of a mixed experience for me. I usually love a stalker romance with a protective, obsessive, OTT MMC, but Henry didn’t hit quite the same as other heroes I’ve read from this author. There was something about the execution that felt a little awkward at times, and it didn’t fully pull me in the way I expected.
That said, it’s still an easy, fast read, and I can definitely see it working for a lot of readers—especially if you enjoy possessive, watchful heroes and a slightly darker edge. The dynamic has its moments, even if it didn’t completely land for me.
And as with the previous book, the spice delivers. If you’re picking this up for a quick, steamy novella, it absolutely meets expectations.
Overall, while Henry wasn’t a standout for me personally, I still had a good time with it and would give it 4 stars for being a solid, spicy, bite-sized romance.
Thank you to the author for the ARC. This review is only my opinion.
Alright Besties… you already KNOW I have a soft spot for Bridget Adrienne's novellas and this one? Whew. Unhinged perfection.
"Stalked by the Ranger" is a fast-burn, insta-lust novella that hits QUICK and doesn’t let up. Natalie just wanted a fresh start in her quiet little cabin… but enter Henry... the hot paramedic ranger next door who is not just watching… he’s WTACHING-watching 👀. And listen… when I say this man is obsessed? I mean capital O, 🚫 boundaries, morally grey, “I’ll do anything to keep you” energy. And I ate. it. UP! 🤭
The suspense kicks in fast when her ex shows up, and Henry goes full protective mode... but let’s not pretend he wasn’t already crossing lines way before that 👀! The tension? The danger? The spice? All packed into a quick read that somehow still delivers plot AND heat.🔥
These Paramedic Rangers books are my go-to palate cleansers... short, intense, and just the right amount of dark and delicious chaos.
Besties… don’t blink. Add this to your TBR. Seriously.😉

Stalked by the Ranger completely pulled me in from the very first page and did not let go. This book had the perfect mix of tension, suspense, and intense chemistry that kept me hooked the entire time. The “stalker” element added just the right edge without overshadowing the emotional connection between the characters.
The ranger was everything you want in a protective, broody lead—strong, a little dangerous, but with depth that made him impossible not to love. The pacing was spot-on, building anticipation while still delivering satisfying moments throughout.
If you’re a fan of romantic suspense with a possessive, protective hero and a storyline that keeps your heart racing, this one is absolutely worth the read. I couldn’t put it down and already wish I could experience it again for the first time!
He watches her. He walks in uninvited. He also keeps her safe.
Natalie got out of a bad situation and is finally starting fresh. She needs a job, a little peace, and to stop noticing the ranger up on the ridge. If only it were that easy. Henry watches Natalie far more closely than any neighbor should, but he can’t help himself. From the moment he saw her, he knew she was running from something—and even if she isn’t his, he’s not letting anything touch her again.
Sixty‑eight pages to redeem a stalker, and this author pulled it off. I felt the weight behind Henry’s obsession and understood it. I also believed Natalie’s reasons for forgiving him. All in all, another great short story in this series.
I received an advance review copy for free, and I’m leaving this review voluntarily. Thank you to the author and @BookFunnel for this eARC.
I will never understand how Bridget packs so much in so few pages! There’s lots of spice, kinky sex scenes, stalking and a touch of trauma and PTSD. There’s some scenes of lighter BDSM and obsessive behavior. The intense drive of protection is one of my favorite aspects of Bridget’s books!
Henry is paramedic ranger with a side job of deciding to stalk Natalie. She’s just moved to town and has caught his attention.
Natalie has been running, she’s not felt safe for a long time. The chemistry between Henry and Natalie becomes electric and their bond, forgivable as far as Natalie is concerned - Henry saves her more than once.
Thank you Bridget for the early read! Always fun, quick and full of spice!! All opinions are my own.
Stalked is a strong word…I would call it protected…from afar. Henry and Natalie’s relationship/story started innocently enough and the longer it went on the less innocent it became. I could not even begin to explain my feelings about this book in more words than there is a fine line between stalking and protecting and Henry rode that line pretty well at least for a bit. I mean there were times that Bridget made him seem creepy, but he did more to protect her than to hurt her. I look forward to reading the rest of this series very soon.

Stalked by the Ranger by Bridget Adrienne is a dark, tension-filled romance that leans into obsession and danger in the best way. Bridget Adrienne creates a gripping dynamic between the characters, balancing an intense, watchful hero with a heroine who pulls you deeper into the story with every chapter.
The suspense keeps the pages turning, while the chemistry adds that addictive edge dark romance readers crave. If you enjoy protective, slightly unhinged MMCs and a storyline that walks the line between thrilling and taboo, this one is a quick, captivating read.

I wanted to love this one the way I have the author’s previous books, but it left me a bit disappointed. The premise is strong and the tension around Henry’s obsession is effective, yet the emotional payoff felt muted. Scenes repeat the same beats too often, which dulled the suspense instead of building it. Still worth a read for Bridget lovers, but sadly only a solid 3 from me.
Thank you to Bridget for providing me with a copy of Stalked by the Ranger. As always, my opinions are my own.
'But Henry Beck isn’t just possessive. He’s obsessive. And the closer I get to him, the more I realize the man making me feel protected is also the man who’s been watching me all along.'
The characters were very compelling and complex and perfectly steamy together. Plot was intriguing and intense and well paced. World building was solidly drawn and impressive. Thoroughly enjoyed and highly recommend.

Natalie moves into the cabin next door and Henry goes into stalker mode. Henry is a paramedic ranger who previously lost a patient when her abusive boyfriend killed her. The death of that woman broke something in Henry so he’s obsessed with Natalie’s safety. He installs ‘trail’ cameras and obsessively watches Natalie and when he finally approaches her he feels guilty that she’s so haunted and fearful. Her ex shows up and Ranger Henry scares him off. Love with a side of caveman story. Henry seems to practice coercive control but Natalie eventually agrees to more and marries him.

Stalked by the Ranger is a transformative novella that embodies the power of intense connections, praise, and devotion. With themes of light BDSM and an unwavering commitment to protection, this story follows Natalie, who hasn't felt safe in a long time, until she meets Paramedic Ranger Henry. Their profound bond has the potential to ignite a fire within, inspiring a deeper understanding of the complexities of love and protection.
Another great ARC book done by Bridget. A little repetitive for story line though. A short story with lots and lots of spice, stalking, PTSD, kinky sex, saving the damsel, and of course a happy needing. This is about a ranger paramedic that stalks the new woman that just moved in. Saved her in many different ways and an ending that left me wanting more. The extra chapter was definitely spicy. A great book over all.
This is a dark romance that has Natalie moving to get away from her controlling boyfriend. Henry can't help but notice her mannerisms and correctly assesses that she has suffered abuse. So he can't help but keep an extra eye out for her so that she doesn't suffer the same fate as another woman from his past. He makes Natalie feel safe - until she sees the surveillance cameras of her cabin. Now the only question is whether they can still find their HEA together.
Stalked by the Ranger is a short, fast-paced read packed with spice and an MMC who is protective, obsessive, and knows how to build up his FMC with praise. The spice was definitely spicing, and I enjoyed the possessive/protective vibes! However, I did struggle to connect with Henry. Overall, it was a solid spicy read that I enjoyed.
this was a fast spicy read. i enjoyed this. the way he "protects" her 📷 is wrong and even he knows that but he doesn't want to have a repeat happen to someone he loves. I definitely wish we got more of these two 😏 thanks so much again for the opportunity to arc read this. i really enjoy these spicy short stories. cannot wait for the next 🫠🖤
I enjoyed reading Stalked by the Ranger. A short enjoyable spicy book. The characters are great and you can feel their connection. I was able to read it cover to cover in one sitting. Well worth the time spent reading this book.

Henry was a dedicated rescuer. Natalie was a survivor. Instant connection leads to more than either bargained for. Hot dirty spice. Good plot lines that kept the pages turning. A good one.

I loved this book. Although Henry did stalk her he did it all for the right reasons. This couple needed each other to heal. I do wish the bonus scene included more. Otherwise this book was fantastic.
Natalie Foye has moved to Willow Ridge trying out run her life in a gilded cage. Henry Beck is one of the paramedic/ranger that has been stalking her. While he knows it’s wrong he just can’t help himself. Will Natalie force Henry to leave and stay away?
Loving this series, Henry and Natalie are both wonderful characters, He's obsessed with her and they have a strong steamy chemistry. A wonderful read,.

This was a really cute quick read. The plot was well written. It’s a little bit of a dark stalker romance, but it has a really cute love between the main characters, good spice, a HEA, and it can be read in less than an hour. Definitely a great feel good read!
Stalking is not usualy my favorite, but I really like this one ! I love how Henry knew that what he did was wrong. I would have really love if it was stretch a little bit more over time. Feels like everything happens in like a couple of days. I love fats pace, but that's too fast !
