Hollis Clemmins is back in Houston for one reason to run the social media accounts for her father’s new entertainment-first baseball league—the Houston Honky Tonks. Being the daughter of a legendary former major leaguer hasn’t made it easy to step out of his shadow, which is why Hollis promised herself this gig is temporary. One season, and she’s out. No distractions. No complications. No getting attached.
Enter Mason “Fletch” Fletcher. As fan favorite, and star of the Honky Tonks he’s used to winning over entire stadiums. Too bad the boss’s daughter seems immune to his charm. Hollis has no interest in falling for a baseball player, especially not one who thrives on the spotlight she’s so desperately trying to avoid.
She’s set on keeping her heart on the bench. He’s intent on proving she belongs in his world. Because for Fletch, the greatest victory of all would be winning her heart.
Book One in a Banana Ball inspired rom-com with a sweet and spicy romance worth cheering for.
Kristen Lucero is a devoted mother of three boys and has been happily married for 14 years. They live in Utah, along with their two dogs, Milo and Beans. She has always had a passion for reading and writing. Kristen's love for romance novels and their happily ever afters inspired her to create her own heartfelt stories.
So this was a lighthearted, feel good semi-sports romance that brings big Banana Ball energy and even bigger heart.
Hollis is determined to keep things temporary. She's committed to one season running social media for her dad’s team, and then she’s gone. Then she meets Mason Fletcher. From their first encounter, the chemistry is immediate. The next day, when they figure out they are working together? Rom-Com GOLD.
Hollis runs when things get real, guards her heart, and avoids the spotlight. Fletch thrives in it. He falls first, and he falls fast. The slow burn is delicious, the workplace tension is layered, and the forced proximity makes every stolen glance and secret moment hit harder.
Hollis’s push and pull tendencies can feel repetitive at times...UGH. I'm actually trying to be nice. Her back and forth was tiring. Her inner monologue was all about her LOVE, and then she spat some crazy shit about her last name. Her "trauma" and the reason for her hesitance isn't convincing and slows the momentum just when you want her to just choose him already. Still, Fletch’s unwavering devotion more than makes up for it.
Overall, this is a charming, sweet, slightly spicy rom-com.
When the author posted a short summary of this book in one of my reader groups asking for advanced readers, I jumped on the opportunity. Baseball with a Savannah Bananas twist? Sign me up!! I loved the world of Honky Tonk baseball. The players were all so loveable (single dad pitcher, Noah must get his own book). The vibe was so fun. Fletch was a great character and said and planned the sweetest things. Hollis left a little to be desired though. Her reasoning for not wanting to stay felt a little flat especially since we never get a chance to meet her mom. I didn't really love her, but her friends were fun. Overall it is an enjoyable book for people who love baseball and romance like me!
I was so happy to be chosen for this ARC. I loved Mason right from the start. Definitely gives golden retriever vibes. Hollis took some time for me, but I enjoyed her spark.
The details of the game and the experience of being there was awesome. I loved how detailed the performances were, like you could picture being there.
Sweet and spicy. Lots of tension evident, but the few spicy scenes were very well written.
This book was a VIBE and it drew you in right away. The yearning, and commitment was top tier. It was more of a slow burn, but with fun banter. It kept me engaged throughout the book. I loved that I could envision this as a 30 minute rom com series that would hook you right away and keep coming back for more. He is a walking Green flag and honestly she is a walking Red flag. This book will be a great draw for Gen Z, and its aspects of awareness to social media.
Thank you Kristen Lucero and her team for the opportunity to read this story early! I'm so grateful for the opportunity to read this book early and give my honest opinion in this spoiler free review!
3 stars!
The vibes were incredibly high the whole time. I essentially felt like I was reading Jackson Olson/Savannah Bananas fanfic the entire time and am definitely not mad about it. If you’re even remotely interested (obsessed) with the Bananas and Banana Ball the vibes were really high the whole read and had me looking for tickets on resale sites by the end of the book. You could tell the author did a lot of research not only about baseball, but about the Savannah Bananas and it gave the book a very authentic and unique backdrop.
This story follows star shortstop of the Honky Tonks - Mason Fletcher and new social media manager (and owners daughter) - Hollis Clemmins. Hollis and Fletch have a chance run in to start the book in a very charming and compelling rom com way, but then it all kind of went south from there. I felt like the characters both had very compelling stories, but they weren’t explored enough. Hollis was especially frustrating to read because of her indecisiveness, abrasiveness, and continual mixed signals that I was at one point actively rooting for Fletch to stop trying to win her over. Fletch was charming and sweet, but him falling instantly for her and then spending most of the book trying to win her over was tiresome and hard to believe.
If you’ve read my reviews before, you know I’m not a huge fan of an insta - love trope and sadly that (and Hollis) lowered my review. The book was very trope heavy with forced proximity, workplace romance, and ultimately a friends with benefits situation that became a little too busy for me.
Overall, it was genuinely a sweet, low stakes read and is as promised a Savannah Bananas inspired romance. I am hoping we’ll see these characters again in a series following the Honky Tonks because the universe she created was vast and I’d love to see growth from Hollis and Fletch as they mature in their relationship.
TW: professional pressure, famous family pressure, language, sexual content (chapters 18, 23, 24, 25, 28)
Insta-love. He falls first and harder. Friends with benefits. Forced proximity. Reformed playboy. Workplace romance. Baseball romance. Dual POV. First person POV. Spicy.
I really wanted to love this story. it had all the elements of a truly great rom-com.
I really dont think I liked Hollis as a character. Throughout the story, I ended up getting really frustrated with her hot and cold ways. While I understood what she wanted in life was to make it on her own without the pressure of her family name, she was able to do so and was told many times how competent she was but still refused to see reason. She had a wonderful man in Mason, also idk why she never really called him by his first name, who just wanted to give her everything and she kept PUSHING HIM away. It was very frustrating to read her POV and I put the story down more than I want to admit.
The saving grace of this book was Mason and the rest of the Honky Tonk team. I loved the concept of this story. The Savannah Bananas are really huge right now and this story pairs well. Mason was also a really great MMC. He was funny, confident, and had a hidden soft underbelly. His love of his job as a shortstop for the Honky Tonks was apparent and he really did it for the fans. I could feel his passion for it. I do agree a bit with Hollis that sometimes he overdid the approach to dating her but after finishing the story, I get why. he would have never caught Hollis if he wasn't persistent. she would keep pushing away and the story wouldn't not have an HEA.
There were some things I would change in the story if I could but it wasn't overall bad. when hollis got out of her head, she was fantastic and what Mason needed. She just didnt do it enough.
Now, if Noah gets a story (hopefully where he ends up with his baby mama/best friend) then im all over it. Same with Easten!
Okay, so I have some thoughts. Firstly, I am very appreciative to be given this ARC read. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait for it to end. Hollis has got to be the most annoying FMC I have ever read. Fletch is the only reason this book has any stars and that fact that I’ve been to a Savannah bananas game and that was spot on.
1. The reasons Hollis was giving about not being able to stay in Texas were sooooooo lame and had no backing. We never even met her mom, I thought I missed something and she was dead. Her dad was cool as hell the whole book, and never made anything seem like she was “in his shadows.” 2. The whole needing to be her own person excuse, like girlfriend, you were your own person in CA and you were clearly unhappy. So put some big girl pants on and do what you want. 3. The cringe I got from hearing she was lip singing Whitney Houston, when in reality they should have changed his walk up song to Dibs by Kelsea Ballerini and it would have made SOOOOO much more sense. It would have brought the book full circle. What a missed opportunity. 4. I realize this isn’t the final book, but could we not have run spell check? 5. You’re telling me you go to Gala hosted by your parents and you don’t say Hi or Bye to them? My Italian ass parents would disown me. Idk. It just didn’t make any sense. OR at anytime in the book there isn’t a text or call to her mom. This was soooooo weird to me. 6. You confessed your love in front of thousands and thousands of people and didn’t run it by your dad? Tf.
This was the longest, shortest book I have ever read.

HASHTAG HOME RUN by Kristen Lucero ⚾️ 4.5 ⭐️ Available 2/26
If you love men of Banana Ball (and who doesn’t?!), this is a must read! This cute & spicy baseball romance is the first book in the Houston Honky Tonks series. Hollis Clemmins isn’t looking for love or anything having to do with male distractions. She only returned home to Houston to take over as the new Social Media Manager for her dad’s team. One year to help him get his league the kind of attention they deserve, then she’s going back to her life in LA. After a chance meeting in a bar with Mason Fletcher, short stop for the Houston Honky Tonks, Hollis finds herself with a man who won’t take ‘No’ for an answer (in the best, most obsessed way possible). Hollis must navigate her new job while trying to avoid the very attractive and very persistent reformed playboy who is suddenly everywhere she looks. Will there be a Home Run in their future or a Strike Out? (Yes I know that was a corny baseball reference, but just go with it!)
Hashtag Home Run was a 4.5 star read for me because I love a baseball romance and black cat FMCs. Loved the sass & attitude of Hollis, which made the banter with Fletch even better. Their chemistry is good, but it could’ve used another spicy scene or 2. Loved Fletch’s teammates and can’t wait to read their books in this series! If you’re looking for a fun read to get you ready for baseball season, grab your copy of Hashtag Home Run on Feb. 26th!
Thank you to Kristen Lucero for the advanced copy!
I’ve read an MM banana ball series - I’d at first thought the sport was made up! - and I was interested to see an MF take on it. The blurb pulled me in and I was looking forward to seeing how this turned out.
I liked how this started - very easy to read - though I found It took me a while to warm up to Hollis especially. She’s quite prickly and abrasive just for the sake of it, I couldn’t understand Fletch’s attraction. And just when she seems to let go of it a bit, she’s back in a huff! It did get a bit tiring but she did start to redeem herself around the 50% mark, and she was likeable by the story’s end.
Mason/Fletcher/Fletch on the other hand was an easier character to like. Maybe he pushed his interest a bit much, but he seemed to realise it and back off a little, becoming more protective and friendly than he initially was - though still a huge flirt.
There’s a little humour here and some cute interactions between the two MCs, but some of them didn’t hit as well as intended. The spice takes some time to get to, but once there it’s fairly steamy, especially from Fletch’s perspective. And I really enjoyed the way Hollis and Fletch’s relationship ended up in the last few chapters.
I liked the Honky Tonk teammates that we get to know - namely Easten and Hudson. Hopefully their stories are to come and their pairings are a little easier on them!
On the whole, an easy to read, cute, sweet romance.
Hashtag Home Run is a contemporary [sports] romance based on a shortstop for the Honky Tonks baseball team and their new social media manager.
Hollis just got a new job in her hometown of Houston. The catch? Her father is the owner of the baseball team that she will be working with. Because of this, she only wants to be in Houston for a year before moving back to California. Hollis is focused on her career and on getting out of her famous parents' shadow. This plan definitely leaves no room for a love life.
Mason “Fletch” Fletcher is the star shortstop for the Honk Tonk baseball team. Honky Tonk ball is like normal baseball with a touch of pizzazz. Mason is a known player, not going home with the same woman twice. Until he sees a girl in a bar and his world shifts on its axis. Only the world is playing a cosmically big joke on him. That girl? That’s his boss’s daughter and his baseball team’s new social media manager. It’s going to take more than that to deter him from pursuing Hollis.
I gave this book a 5-star review.
Hollis can be annoying at times, but in her defence, she’s trying to make a name for herself. Sometimes that calls for being annoying. Fletcher is the most adorable golden retriever guy ever. This book is so light-hearted and fun that you will be able to consume it whole in just one sitting. I’m normally not a big fan of sports romance books, but this one is too fun not to read.
Black cat/golden retriever Banana ball inspired Forced proximity Work place romance Banter Slow burn Found family
MMC: Mason Fletcher Short Stop Possessive He falls first He crawls to her
FMC: Hollis Clemmens Dad: Jared Clemmens team owner l Team social media manager Runs away when life gets serious
From the start Mason Fletcher shows his golden retriever vibes by protecting Hollis at the bar during a run in with her ex. At the time neither of them knew who the other was, which made a nice surprise at the baseball stadium the next day. Hollis Clemmens is the daughter of the legendary MLB star and owner of the Honky Tonks, Jared Clemmens. Hollis returns home for a one season gig to be their social media manager. Little did she know, a hot shortstop was about to knock her heart out of the ball park. The banter between the two of them is flirty, witty, and will having you giggling while kicking your feet! Their secret situationship is anything but a secret by the way they both can’t keep their eyes off each other. As things start to feel too serious for Hollis and Fletcher’s contract coming to an end they will have to decide whether these feelings are worth fighting for or if it’s time to call it quits.
I went into this really excited because I love the Banana Ball concept, and I have to say — that part was done really well. It felt authentic and fun without being over-the-top or cheesy (which can easily happen with this theme). The setting and baseball elements were definitely the highlight for me.
The romance, however, was more hit-or-miss.
I genuinely liked the MMC. He was consistent, devoted, and fully committed — honestly, he gets an A for effort. But the dynamic between him and the FMC started to wear on me. She pushed him away repeatedly, sent mixed signals, and created a lot of emotional back-and-forth. After a while, I found myself less invested in their love story and more wondering why he was still trying so hard. I probably would’ve waved the white flag and moved on.
By the time the big romantic shift happened and everything wrapped up in full Hallmark-movie fashion, it felt a little rushed and overly tidy compared to all the push-and-pull that came before it.
I didn’t hate this book at all — it just took me much longer to read than usual, and the romance didn’t fully land for me. That said, if you’re a fan of sports romance and love a persistent hero, this one might work really well for you.
I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest review.
This was the first book I read from Kristen and it did not disappoint!! It was fun, entertaining, steamy, had laugh out moments, and a happy ending.
Hollis and Mason have a great meet cute and it turns into something so much more. However Hollis tries her hardest to resist the good looking baseball player. Once she caves and succumbs to her attraction to Mason, it soon becomes so much more than just a friends with benefits thing. Real feelings get involved and maybe Mason is someone she can see herself having a future with.
Mason also known as Fletch is a baseball player on a team that does trick plays, walk up songs, and other entertaining gimmicks in Texas. They are trying to get more popular and more fans on the stands and along comes the new social media manager. He never thought she would be the one that would make him want to settle down and try to make a relationship work. He is willing to try things her way first but is hopeful that he can persuade her to become more serious and truly give the thing they have between them a chance.
I loved reading Mason and Hollis's story. It was fun, entertaining, great characters and I can't wait to read about the other guys on the team.
Hashtag Home Run was a super fun, fast-paced read. It honestly felt like Banana Ball in book form!
The banter is great, the cover is cute, and it’s very much a feel-good book that doesn’t take itself too seriously!
That said, I did wish the characters had more depth. It felt like we only scratched the surface of what really makes them tick. I would have loved to see more meaningful, real conversations between the leads instead of relying so heavily on flirty banter most of the time.
Fletcher’s internal monologue especially felt one-dimensional and almost entirely centered on Hollis. His attraction to her came across as largely based on superficial factors rather than anything truly tangible or emotionally grounded that would sustain their relationship long-term. I wanted more of Fletcher as a person, beyond the Hollis-obsessed version we mostly saw.
Hollis, too, felt a bit underdeveloped in places. She was fairly vague about why she didn’t want certain things or held certain beliefs, and her parents’ fame and desire not to follow in their footsteps sometimes felt like a narrative crutch rather than a fully explored motivation.
Overall, a fun and enjoyable read, but with more interiority and emotional layering, it could have been truly memorable.
This book was such a cute, banana ball–inspired romance that made for a quick, feel-good read. It had that high-energy, spotlight-loving vibe that kept the story fun and easy to fly through.
Fletch, the MMC, was a total golden retriever hero—happy-go-lucky, magnetic, and completely at home in the spotlight (and honestly, the spotlight loved him right back). What I really appreciated about him was that while he thrived on attention, he wasn’t careless with his heart. He knew he wanted Hollis and was determined to work for her—but he was also willing to take whatever piece of her she was ready to give. That patience made him even more swoony.
Hollis, the FMC, brought a lot of the push-and-pull tension to the story. She tried hard to stand her ground and stick to the lines she originally drew, even when it was clearly turning into a losing battle. There were definitely moments where I wanted to yell at her and tell her to just let herself be happy already—but she never crossed into annoying territory for me.
Overall, I’d recommend this one to anyone looking for a quick, lighthearted romance with charming banter and feel-good energy. It’s the kind of book you can breeze through in a day or two and close with a smile.
Hashtag Homerun is flirty, fun, and has that perfect romcom energy where you can feel the chemistry from page one.
Kristen Lucero delivers a super cute, modern sports romance that feels fresh thanks to the social media angle and the entertainment-first baseball league setting.
Hollis Clemmins is easy to root for because she isn’t just “the boss’s daughter.” She’s someone trying to build a name that isn’t borrowed from her father’s legacy, and that pressure adds a really relatable layer to her choices. She’s not anti-love — she’s just trying not to lose herself in someone else’s spotlight.
And Mason “Fletch” Fletcher is exactly the kind of MMC romcom readers eat up: confident, charming, and persistent in a way that feels playful instead of pushy. He knows what he wants, and he’s not interested in half-hearted wins.
The romance hits that sweet spot between lighthearted and emotionally grounded, and the baseball world feels like more than just a backdrop — it gives the story momentum and personality. This one is an easy, feel-good read that still gives you enough heart to make the relationship feel real.
First of all, as a Banana Ball fan I have to say this was so well done 👏🏽. If you’ve seen a game or seen clips of it, you’ll find that everything feels so familiar. I was fully immersed in the journey because it didn’t feel phoned in. It was definitely well researched and I appreciated that. However, if you’re not a Banana Ball fan, you can still read and enjoy this because everything is so well explained.
The story was really enjoyable from beginning to end. It kept me engaged because I was excited to see what the walk out songs would be, or what shenanigans Fletcher would get himself into. It was also fun to follow the day to day life of a social media manager and a baseball player.
Fletcher is hands down my current book boyfriend. I couldn’t find one flaw in him. What a gem of a man. Yes, he’s obsessive. But I mean, who doesn’t want to be wanted like that 😩. Hollis was a strong, confident, independent woman. But did she know what she wanted? Who knows. I also loved both sets of their friends. They were so supportive and didn’t shy away from letting them know what they needed to hear. We all need those people around us. Not just a bunch of “yes men”.
I was lucky enough to be chosen to be part of the ARC team by Kristen Lucero.
I am a sucker for a sports romance and though I usually tend to go for football/hockey/soccer since I’m fans of those sports, the description for this one was too cute for me to pass up and I’m glad I didn’t. Mason “Fletch” Fletcher, short stop of the Houston Honkey Tonks, is everything Hollis Clemmins wasn’t looking for when she came back home to be the social media manager for the team. But he’s determined to prove her wrong in every way. Lucero wrote this book in alternating POVs between Fletch & Hollis, and I absolutely LOVED being able to see their inner thoughts and I love that it was a rom-com rather than just romance. The level of spice in this one was just right and though I found myself wanting to scream at my kindle for their relationship to progress faster I think the pacing was perfect and honestly a lot more realistic than I expected from a romance novel. I can’t wait for this to come out so I can force my friends to read it!
As a huge baseball fan and Savannah Bananas fan, I was so excited to receive this ARC! Kristen did such a great job in describing the scenes for those that might not know what Savannah Bananas baseball is and also hit it right on with what they are from the trick plays and dances to the "cheerleaders", to the fans first attitude. She even included a line in there about the owner going to meet at the fans after the games which is exactly what Jesse does after every single game.
Now for characters- Both Fletcher and Hollis kept me laughing from the beginning with their banter and Fletcher's comebacks were gold! Their relationship was so cute and sweet. I also loved the other players relationship with Hollis. I kept waiting for one of them or Hollis' dad to walk in on them in her office- that would have made for a whole different story though!
Overall I really loved this book! Quick, funny read and I can't wait for the next one!! This was the first book I've read from this author but definitely won't be my last!
While it wasn't instant love or a "will they, won't they" type of story, it definitely had some of those elements throughout.
I loved this take on a baseball sports romance! The Honky Tonks were fun to read about and the side characters were SO well written! I definitely appreciated that the author named a FEMALE character Logan and that she was funny af. Usually reading my name in books is an instant DNF most of the time, but Kristen made her into such a likable character that I had no issues with continuing to read and read my name often.
Fletch and Hollis were such a good pairing! Fletch brought out the "old" Hollis that her friends were missing, while Hollis allowed Fletch to slow down and truly sit and think about what he wants out of life.
This was an overall very fun read! Only reason it didn't reach 5 stars for me was that it felt as if it was missing a bit of depth with the story and characters, a bit of angst and build. Definitely recommending this to all of my reader friends who love a good sports romance!
Thank you Kristen Lucero for allowing me an opportunity to read the ARC of your book.
This book has the bones to be a great book, but I don’t think it’s quite there yet. To me it felt like every chapter or so had the same problem or argument between Hollis and Fletcher. It was very repetitive and made me lose interest quite quickly.
There was a lot of talk about being in her parent’s shadow and wanting to break away from that, but there was really no mention of her mom at all. We don’t find out what her mom does for work. Anytime things got serious Hollis would pull away and give the same excuse about being her own person and stepping away from the shadows of her parents. It just felt a bit boring especially when there was really no backstory as to why she felt like she was in their shadows.
For a sports romance there wasn’t enough sport for me. It seemed like the baseball team only had slight cameos in each chapter. I wish it would focus more on the game considering it is a baseball book.
It was my cup of tea however, I do think others will enjoy it!
This book was so damn cute, like smiling-like-a-fool, kicking-your-feet, fully-invested adorable.
As a sports romance enthusiast, this story delivered everything I absolutely crave in the genre:
💕 Fake dating that felt fun and believable 🥵 He falls first (and HARD) 🔥 Feet kicking banter 💛 A golden-retriever MMC (my fave) 🌶️ Delicious spice
But beyond the fun tropes and romance, there was real heart here too. I especially loved Hollis’ journey, watching her figure out who she is outside of her family’s shadow and claim her own space in the world felt authentic and uplifting.
And Mason Fletcher? Certified book boyfriend material. Confident without being arrogant, generous, romantic, playful, and never taking himself too seriously, basically the exact energy you want from a sports romance hero.
Overall, this was such an enjoyable, feel-good read with humor, heart, and chemistry in all the right places. Definitely one I’d recommend to fellow sports romance lovers!
ARC Review and I’m so thankful for the opportunity!
This was a semi spicy Banana Ball inspired romance.
Hollis was a tough character for me. She was very negative through most of the book because she doesn’t let anyone close. Hollis is the daughter of a former MLB player and dancer who wants to prove she can do it all on her own without her famous parents assistance. Until she decides to come home to Texas and help her father with his Honky Tonk Baseball team.
Fletch falls for Hollis almost immediately and spends the book trying to convince her to date him. This is where I struggled because it felt more like she was using him throughout the book rather than falling for him.
The characters surrounding the couple were silly and fun and could have had some more shining moments in the sorry. Overall it was an easy fun read o just wish there was more depth in Hollis and Fletch.

This is a very light-hearted story. It gives college-style romance with how easy it reads and how the story flows. At times, it felt repetitive with what the characters wanted or said. However, it was a cute and fun read. 3.5.
I loved how it replicated Banana Ball style baseball. I wish there were more instances and references to baseball or incorporated it more. I also loved the curated playlist. I think it fit really well.
Personally, I loved the drive and passion of Fletch. When Hollis (finally) came around, it felt like it happened too fast compared to all the doubt and denial she was putting herself through. She wasn’t my favorite character, but it was a relief to see her finally coming around. What I wish there was more of was drama with other characters that were only introduced briefly.
Hashtag Home Run is a super fun, super sweet, and steamy Banana Ball inspired Baseball romance. Mason - Mr. Charming- Fletcher is the most flirtatious and relentless MMC ever! With his cheesy banter and kind soul, he conquered me in an instant! Hollis - Miss Independent - Clemmens is such a hard working and sharp girl. Watching her slowly let her guard down and accept support from Mason and his team was very entertaining. I loved the strong chemistry between Mason and Hollis. Whenever they were in the same room, sparks were definitely flying. It was really fun watching her try to resist her attraction towards Mason and push him away only for him to persue her even more relentlessly. Their costant, playful, fun, and flirty banter truly made it impossible to stop reading. As always, Kristen Lucero delivers a light hearted, super sweet, and super fun romance.
What worked: The author’s knowledge of social media and the entertainment/baseball world really shines and adds authenticity. The side characters were great — strong enough that I can already picture future group chats (which this book needed). The male main character was consistent and easy to root for, and the scene descriptions were clear and well-balanced without being overly long.
What didn’t work: The female main character wasn’t my favorite. Her back-and-forth decision-making became tiresome, and I found her more annoying than relatable. While this was meant to be enemies-to-lovers, the banter didn’t quite land, so the chemistry never fully clicked for me.
Received an arc - rounding up to 4⭐️ spice level would be 2🌶️
If you’re a fan of the bananas you’ll enjoy this book. There wasn’t one single male character in the book I did not like. Our mmc was consistent and very easy to like. The first 50% of the book was slowwww. I wouldn’t count this as an enemies to lovers at all. Just a very slow burn co worker romance. The last 50% of the book moved very fast. I will continue the series since I really did enjoy the side characters.
✨possible spoiler✨
What did not work for me. The FMC. She was very hard to like most of the time. Her saying “I’m staying for one season” for 98% of the book was kinda annoying and repetitive. I also feel like we had such a build up for the book to basically just end, with the epilogue falling a little flat.
This was such a fun time from start to finish! If you’re looking for something lighthearted, hilarious, and full of swoony tension, this is it.
It’s a baseball romance with total Savanah Bananas vibes chaotic, playful, and completely over the top in the best way. I was laughing out loud more than once.
Hollis and Fletcher had me hooked immediately. Their banter was top-tier, and every interaction between them felt effortless and electric. And Fletcher? Absolutely down bad from the beginning. The way he was pining for Hollis had me grinning the entire time.
Fun, flirty, and full of laugh-out-loud moments — this one was so freaking good.
I feel absolutely HONORED to have once again been part of Kristen's team.
This book was one of those feel good, cutie reads that had me kicking my feet the entire time.
Fletch is easily one of my favorite romcom MMCs. He's sweet, funny and the definition of a golden retriever for his girl. I love the reformed playboy trope, seeing this f*ckboy player down BAD for his girl, and completely turn his life around for her.
And our girl Hollis. She's an absolute badass in her own right. She struggles so much with imposter syndrome, and is so worried with getting out of her parents' shadows, that she is just constantly getting in her own way. But man, she just deserves love!
This book was cute, fun and such good read! I couldn't put it down!
