Thank you @hyggebooktours For letting me be part of this tour and reviewing this book. Evelyn Eventually is literary fiction. The front cover is absolutely gorgeous of the sea, and it made me want to go there. It also feels very peaceful and calming. The book is stunning and made me feel really calm and peaceful while reading it too. The story is about Evelyn, who decides to let her son and wife live in her house, and she goes to Northumberland to make a fresh start with her dog, and on the way she comes across some situations and meets some lovely people. I read Evelyn Eventually in two and a half days. I was fully invested in this book. It was so easy to get into, and I loved Evelyn as a character. She seemed to be a breath of fresh air, and I loved her determination to situations and to help people. The story is written exceedingly well and has a fantastic plot. Evelyn Eventually is a cozy and heartwarming read. I really liked the K. M. Price descriptions and her writing style. It made me feel like I was with Evelyn. It also made me feel like Evelyn was a friend, and I wanted to meet her because she seems so lovely. I did like the other characters too, and there were some I didn’t like, but overall I thought this was a remarkable book, and it was so nice to read something entirely different from what I normally read. So I will definitely be looking for more books by KM Price in the future. 5 stars.

Evelyn is a widower who no longer wants to be bystander in life. Though she loved her husband, George, dearly, was she ever her own woman? Wanting to live whatever life she has left in the beautiful setting of a book she read many years ago, she cashes in her savings, hands the keys to her home to her son Tim and heads off for her own adventure.
Evelyn is a wonderfully normal and warm character, who endears anyone who crosses her path including grumbly old Jane. These two unlikely ladies, both widows and mothers but with very different outlooks on life and histories begin to forge a friendship. As the story unfolds both Jane and Evelyn bring depth to each other's life that neither knew they needed.

Whilst Evelyn seems to spread cheer and optimism wherever she goes and manages to having meaningful relationships with all the village folk, I enjoy the 'ship between her and Zak and Evelyn's interest in the bus stop, it isn't without some challenges!

This is an easy read, mild scandal and a villain we all love to hate on the shape of Henrietta. Evelyn felt like an old friend that you really wanted to see happy and settled. This isn't my typical genre and is more slow paced than I enjoy but it was such a comfort read. Evelyn shows that there is life after middle age and that only fear can get in the way of a new life and new friendships. Be like Evelyn and break that mould 💚

This isnt the sort of book id normally read, but quickly ended up loving.
Evelyn is widowed, and life is carrying on around her, so she decides, on an impulse, so move to Northumberland. She'd seen the area in a book as a child, that was the only reason.
Evelyn remained impetuous and impulsive throughout this book. Making decisions on a whim and hoping they'd work out.
This was a lovely story, where Evelyn befriends Jane, a shy, closeted woman who is diagnosed with cancer. They form a lovely relationship and you see their friendship develop. One of the worst characters, spoiled and selfish Henrietta, Jane's daughter, even has her own awakening and undergoes something of a journey.
I loved the tiny village, the relationship with Zak, showing teenage boys aren't necessarily bad. They just need opportunity. The same for young mums.
There is a focus on the church being the centre of a community, and the need for a focal point where everyone can come together. It also shows that older women are still worth something and not invisible, to men or the community.
I guess this would be classed as womens fiction but its such a lovely read. I was completely taken in by Evelyn and the rest of the small village and read to the end quickly.

Evelyn was a great character; not because she was special or outstanding, but because she was completely normal and human. Widowed a few years earlier, Evelyn decides she’s tired of being predictable, doing what she’s always done and what is expected of her. She has her house completely redecorated, gives it to her son and his new wife, packs up her car and heads to Northumberland with no plans other than have a holiday in a place she’s always dreamed of visiting. She didn’t expect to become involved in the small village where she has landed, but it happens anyway. I thought Evelyn made some decisions without much thought and those decisions had an impact on her journey to find herself again. Eventually though, she was able to find Evelyn. I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful read, following Evelyn‘s journey and meeting the interesting characters that she meets along the way. I also loved that the characters were older and facing real life, not some fantasy life where everything is perfect.

This was a gentle read, Evelyn is a great character I loved how relatable she is, a story of finding yourself again.
The writing was descriptive and interesting, which made the book flow so well.
This is a read that’s great for this time of year, just chill with a hot drink and read while relaxing under a cosy blanket.
Throughly enjoyed reading Evelyn’s journey.
