About the author

Hello, I'm Linine Langley, author of the "Passionate Poison" book series.

My story began in Evandale, Tasmania where I attended Kings Meadows High, later earning a Psychology diploma in 1996.

For years, I dedicated myself to spinal care nursing, but health challenges in 2024 led me to embrace my true calling: Dark Romantic Suspense and Psychological Thrillers. I’m now deep in the shadows, crafting the Passionate Poison series working on book four!

At heart this book has real love and care put into it, and its more than evident the author put a great deal of passion into telling this story .The opening flight scene and the interview at the House on the Hill were particularly engaging and did a great job drawing me into the story and set the stakes for the rest of the book.

That said, I found that some of the technical aspects held the book back. The internal monologues often revisit the same emotions, which slowed the pacing and occasionally pulled me out of the story. I also would have liked to see more character development, particularly for Jane, whose personality sometimes feels centered almost entirely around the romance rather than her own growth.

Overall, I enjoyed the premise and appreciated the emotion behind the writing. It feels like someone actually wanted to tell a story and you can see the effort put into it.

If you are looking for a great read with lots of on the edge of your seat moments, then Passionate Poison by Linine Langley is the book for you!

From the description I thought this was a romance, leaning on the dark and twisted side. Unfortunately, it was nothing like I thought. There was much confusion and seemed like the author left out details that would have helped with the background and understanding. It wasn’t until Jane’s friend Monique came into the picture, did details start giving the full picture of the story. Then it flips to a murder mystery instead with the descriptions and twists.
