Pensé que en este libro me iban a explicar muchas dudas que tenia de la historia. Pero ha sido un poco una perdida de tiempo, porque en si solo cogen hechos reales de la historia y lo convierte para que parezca que son los annunakis los que han realizados todos los hechos de la historia. Me ha gustado solo ese detallito es decir el saber hilar para que parezcan que estos dioses son los que hicieron las pirámides, que son los que nos dieron todos los conocimientos humanos,etc. Aunque al final se pasan todo el rato diciendo intentamos domesticar a estos pero como no lo conseguimos, nos los cargamos, intentamos a los otros como no, también nos los cargamos y al final acaba siendo un poco repetitivo.Pero si no lo hubiera leido tampoco hubiera pasado nada. Así que le pongo un tres de puntuación y una estrellita porque para mi esta suspenso.

4.5/5 Interesting to learn more about the different Players of Endgame we can see why they became what they are and deep down it's because they were forced to kill their humanity and to become cold when they were just children really liked it

DNF. First, it's a ripoff of Ender's Game. Second, it's a cash grab to get people who read the other books to spend more money. Third, it's mostly tell and very little show. Fourth, it's formatted so badly that it's hard to read. And fifth, a main character murders another character to "win" whatever this honor is supposed to be—and then he finds out it was all set up as a test by his superiors—and he still goes on with whatever this big battle that is supposed to happen in the other books. Ender thought he was playing a simulation and when he found out he'd actually annihilated another race, he quit. That's what heroes do. They might do wrong things for the greater good, but they don't do wrong things for selfish reasons. That's what makes them villains.

Endgame. Wezwanie czeka na mnie od jakiegoś czasu na półce. W te wakacje postawiłam sobie za cel, aby przeczytać tę książkę, ale się nie udało. Postanowiłam, że jednak postaram się nadrobić zaległość, ponieważ już 17 października wychodzi drugi tom z serii, a na stronie Legimi znalazłam nowelkę Endgame. Początek, więc skoro jest to historia poprzedzająca pierwszy tom, to zaczynam wolę zacząć od początku.
Nie będę tutaj przytaczać treści tej nowelki, ponieważ nie chciałabym czegoś zaspoilerować i między innymi też dlatego, że Endgame. Początek są to historie czterech osób: Kali, Chiyoko, Alice i Markusa przedstawione w formie retrospekcji. Każde opowiadanie jest przedstawione przez narratora trzecioosobowego. Do każdej osoby jest przypisana konkretna problematyka i podczas czytania tych retrospekcji dowiadujemy się jak oni sobie z tym wszystkim radzą.
Nie bardzo lubię czytać nowelki, dodatkowe książki do serii, bo za każdym razem jak takie coś czytałam to nie było to czego oczekiwałam i dlatego się zniechęcam do takich książek, jednak skoro nie czytałam jeszcze Endgame. Wezwanie to nie miałam żadnych oczekiwań. I co? Połknęłam tę nowelkę jednym hausetem.
Cieszę się, że zaczęłam przygodę z serią Endgame rozpoczęłam od Początku, bo dzięki temu będę mogła lepiej zrozumie bohaterów. Ich historie były poruszające i zastanawiające. Nie wiem jak zachowałabym się na ich miejscach. Jeśli chodzi o osobę z którą najbardziej się zżyłam jest to Alice i Chiyoko. Ich retrospekcje najbardziej mnie zainteresowały, a przy części z Alice prawie się popłakałam i nie wierzyłam, że to co się stało, się stało.
W kwestii bohaterów zaskoczyło mnie to, że nie było równej rozbieżności płciowej. Liczyłam na to, że jak będzie czterech bohaterów, to będzie 2 na 2, dwie dziewczyny i dwóch chłopaków, a tu niespodzianka, bo jedynym facetem, z głównych bohaterów, jest Markus. Wśród bohaterów pobocznych już bardziej można przebierać.
Mam nadzieję, że Endgame. Wezwanie będzie jeszcze lepsze i bardziej emocjonujące niż Endgame. Początek, jestem też ciekawa jak przedstawiają się kolejne nowelki z serii Endgame: The Training Diaries, czy będą one pokazywały losy tych samych bohaterów czy zupełnie innych. I już nie mogę się doczekać, aż zabiorę się za pierwszy tom Endgame i chyba zrobię to zaraz, bo czuję, ze wiele mnie ominęło.

Let's just keep this simple, okay? I'll be reviewing each of the characters' backstory individually.
Marcus:
It was nice to see that Marcus wasn't really the chosen one (oops, spoiler) and he had to... remove the current chosen one in order to be the chosen one. What needs to be done needs to be done, even if it concerns your friend.
Kala:
DAMN GIRL WHY YOU FELL IN LOVE? So she had a boyfriend before. Oops, I used past tense. Also, hers was one of the sad backstories becaus of what happened. I despised that boy (not really). I was not expecting that. Promise. I cried. She cried. I didn't avenge. She avenged.
Chiyoko:
She's deaf. She's mute. People didn't like her because of this. People wanted another player because of this. So they sent her to an isolated island with another player-to-be. What happened next was not what I expected. I liked how everything played out. By the way, she's my favorite character.
Alice:
She didn't knew what she was playing for. She hasn't killed. Yet. She was forced to.
Or maybe she forced herself to. I don't know. All I know that she was doing some soul-searching (lol) and apparently she succeeded. Hers was okay, I guess.

Entertaining background stories about the Players from Endgame. It describes the life before Endgame and the first kill of 4 of the Players. It's ok and fun to read if you're a fan of Endgame, but it's not half as good.

Good, other than the fact that it was just all of their kills. Really liked Kala's story, but felt chiyoko deserved better :(

The backstory is neat, and I ALWAYS read the novellas, but I’ll say it was just an okay read. Definitely not as interesting as the main books, but great for character building.

Endgame: Çağrı kitabını okurken sık sık oyuncuların, oyunlardan önceki hallerini merak etmiştim.
Çünkü kitapta bize anlatılan oyuncular CIA, FBI'de çalışan kimselerden üstün niteliklerde, "Yok artık..." dediğimiz pek çok şeyi çocuk oyuncağı gibi yapabiliyorlardı.
"Fazla ütopik olmamış mı? Yani... Siz şunun şurasında bir avuç ergensiniz. Bu insanlar nasıl, hangi koşullarda, ne şekillerde eğitildi? Nasıl? Ne mana şimdi bu?" diye kendi kendime söylenip, burun kıvırırken Frey ağabey'in aslında bunları anlattığı bir yan serisi olduğunu öğrendim.
Kimra vefat. Kimra bedbaht.
Kitaba gelecek olursak, makul ölçülerde yanıtlarımı alabildiğim; Marcus'u yine inanılmaz sıkıcı bulduğum, Kala'ya üzüldüğüm Kİ GERÇEKTEN SİZİN DERDİNİZ NE? FREY! Frey, abv yani, ciddi misin?
Chiyoko'yu daha çok sevdiğim ve diğer sıkıcının adı neydi? Hıh, Alice... İşte, meh bir kitap oldu.

Chiyiókos ist stumm und hat deshalb schon ein schwieriges Leben das sie in der normalen Welt nicht immer für Ernst genommen wird und als vollwertige Person ansgehen wird. Aber dann auch noch eine Spielerin? Das kann nun wirklich nicht sein …
Deshalb muss sie sich beweisen und wird auf die Probe gestellt und muss sich menschlich und auch spielerisch mehr als beweisen.
Aber gerade das menschliche bereitet ihr Probleme, hatte sie doch noch nie eine Freundin oder Bekanntschaft. Sie entdeckt Gefühle die sie bisher nicht kannte und wird letztendlich daran erinnert, das Menschlichkeit eine Schwäche ist.
Ein Wesen das Mitgefühl, Vertrauen und Respekt ist nichts anderes als schwach!
Und die schwierigste Entscheidung die sie zu treffen hat, ist gleichzeitig auch die die sie als Spielerin ausmacht und worauf sie Jahrelang hintrainiert hat.
Was hier anfangs als ein harmloses kennenlernen scheint, erschreckte mich kurz vor Schluß etwas durch den abrupten Wechsel von Normal auf Brutal hart. Brutal hart deswegen, da man einfach nicht damit rechnet und auf den Boden der Tatsachen zurück geholt wird. Den Spieler muss nicht menschlich sein, er muss für das Spiel funktionieren.
Der kurze Einblick konnte mich zwar nicht wirklich mitreissen, wohl aber überraschen!

W skład tej książki wchodzą cztery dość krótkie opowiadania, które prezentują wybranych Graczy z serii Endgame. Jest to prequel powieści "Endgame: Wezwanie". Niewątpliwie ma on za zadanie zachęcić Czytelnika do zagłębienia się w tę historię bądź w przypadku osób sięgających po niego już po lekturze, ma stanowić dopełnienie całości. Poznajemy losy bohaterów, zapoznajemy się z ich treningami, słabostkami i mocnymi stronami. Towarzyszymy im podczas podejmowania ważnych decyzji, walki o swoje racje oraz straty bliskich osób.
Na mnie ta książka zrobiła bardzo dobre wrażenie, dlatego mogę ją z czystym sumieniem polecić innym osobom. Utwierdziłam się również w przekonaniu, że chcę sięgnąć po kolejne części tej serii, poznać losy Graczy i zobaczyć, który z nich ostatecznie zwycięży.

Endgame: The training diaries is a great book about a world in the future where each race has a player, who will play for their bloodline and preserve their bloodline. This book is about four of the twelve players, and their stories of how they became players and their adventures.
These four players all have unique stories, making us know each player in-depth and their personalities, likings, and actions.
There are also two other training diaries of the eight other players, and are part of the Endgame series.
I would definitely recommend this book to others, as I feel like it gives us all something to think about, and lets us understand more about our world and just us humans in general.

A nice way of showing the Players' lives before the Calling.
- Marcus (4/5). A nice way to start the Training Diaries. Bad thing he has little exposure in The Calling.
- Chiyoko (3/5). Just fine, but nothing spectacular happened.
- Kala (5/5). The Kala here is very different from The Calling. At least I got to see why she is ruthless and has nerves of steel.
- Alice (3/5). Kinda boring for me, although with a nice takeaway on having second thoughts in what you do.
- Marcus (4/5). A nice way to start the Training Diaries. Bad thing he has little exposure in The Calling.
- Chiyoko (3/5). Just fine, but nothing spectacular happened.

Their training is rigorous and on their way to being player they encounter love, friendship, doubt and most importantly sacrifice.

Je suis heureuse d'avoir pu découvrir le passé de 4 des joueurs. J'ai hâte que la suite sorte car il reste 8 joueurs à découvrir.
Je suis cependant déçue que ces origines ne sortent qu'après le livre initial. J'aurai aimé le découvrir avant.
Je pense d'ailleurs relire Endgame une fois avoir lu toutes les histoires sur les joueurs, pour mieux comprendre leurs actes :)

This Origins novella gives some background to some of the players of the game - Marcus, Chiyoko, Kala, and Alice. I liked learning about how each line prepares their candidates and how they're chosen, and I also enjoyed learning more about these players' characters and qualities. You understand more about just how much they are willing or not willing to sacrifice for their people and the game.

I usually don't like this kind of 0.5 book in a series but this... is actually very good!
Doesn't really add up much to the story so far but it's fun to read and nice to get some more proximity to the players.

Wasn't a big fan of the first official "Endgame" novel, but this prequel entry was actually not too bad and did a good job establishing characters and providing some actual compelling stories to how they got to where they are.
