I love Karin Slaughters writing and how she can suck you in caring for the characters or not caring for them very much. I love her story lines and how I can’t wait to reach the ending to see how it is resolved or even who done it. Will Trent as a character is a very like able character. Trying to get through this series so I can watch the show.
Karin Slaughter is a gifted writer and I always enjoy her books. I’m making my way through the Will Trent series and it has been a treat. I read a few later books but decided to start at the beginning. Will is such a wonderfully complex character; I love reading the origin of Sara and Will.
Book 4 in the Will Trent series definitely didn’t disappoint me at all, it just took me a while to read it because I’ve been in a slump! When I realized we were taking a trip back to Grant County in this one, I was freaking out internally and maybe even a little bit externally as well. Grant County will forever have my heart, and revisiting these flawed and loved, but sometimes not so loved characters, was so fun to do. The suspense was there. As most always, the who and the why of it all had me completely stumped till the end, and I never would’ve guessed who the culprit was. I hope we get more Lena Adams in the future, or even a spinoff series about her. She’s super flawed, but it’s infectious to read from her POV. This was such a solid addition in the Will Trent series, and I can’t wait to read more! 4.5 ⭐️
I’m done with Will Trent 😭😭😭. I mean at this point Will and Faith and Sara are basically my family. I’m so sad and I wanna reread them all now. As for this book, great one to end on! Even though I was sooooo out of order. I loved the medical trial of it all, wasn’t expecting that. I kinda hate how random the killer was, like I thought it was going to be someone a little more connected I guess. One thing about Lena Adams she’s gonna be annoying. But I fear I need to read Grant County next so I can finally learn how Jeffrey died. So this will Unforch become a Lena Adams fan page probably. Least annoying Will and Sara have ever been btw.
Another good one from Karin Slaughter. Not a whole lot to say about this one overall though. It’s gripping and you get deeper into Sara’s world, but I think I missed Faith and didn’t really love Lena so it was harder to get into her POVs. However, it did make me want to read Sara and Lena’s series so I can be fully in the know.
Not my absolute favorite book of Slaughter’s, but still very good. I think I’m just ready to be back in Will’s territory.
Took me way too long to finish this book because of school but I LOVED IT. The ending was so twisted and the sexual tension between two of the characters is killing me!! I also loved how Slaughter let Sara further accept Jeffery’s death and to let him go. Can’t wait to read the next book!
