Assigned to the Bratva Heir

Rate this book
I lost my virginity to a mafia heir after shielding his grandfather from gunfire—
only to become his contract wife hours later.
Worse? He chose another woman, while I was just pregnant.

Alexei Petrovov is a loaded gun in a tailored suit.
As a nurse, my job was to care for his grandfather.
Sleeping with him? Never.
But one gunfire accident, one scorching night,
He decided I would be his mafia contract wife.

No promises. No love. Just a deal to save my sick sister.
He dragged me to his mansion and reminded me it was "just business."
Well.
But business doesn’t kiss you hard, pin you down,
and then kneel just to watch you come.
I thought it was turning into love—
until he brought his pregnant first love home.
He chose her.

And just when I was ready to run,
I found out I’m carrying his child.
This time? No matter how much he begs— I’m not going back to that bed.
Not until he breaks me first.

Not even sure how I ended up reading this mess, but I found it weirdly enjoyable. So many errors and typos and plot inconsistencies. Completely unlikeable MCs. But it's definitely a ride. I found it all pretty hilarious, in a WTF am I reading kind of way. Spice is meh. Multiple false alarm/straight up fake miscarriages, over the top OW drama, emotional cheating, death of family member. He doesn't actually sleep with the OW, and never indicates that he even wants to, even in his thoughts, but he does kiss her and let her wear his grandmother's engagement ring...Oh, and rushes her off to the hospital to lose her fake baby while the actually pregnant wife bleeds at the bottom of the stairs. And, even after he finally realizes that the OW has done some pretty horrible things to his wife, he doesn't kick her out of his house, and just can't make himself believe the OW did it without being forced by someone else. He doesn't believe ABSOLUTELY EVERYONE in his life until he sees some pictures. I don't think he ever got his grandmother's engagement ring back, either. Definitely didn't grovel in any believable way. I will forgive him, however, because they're both too stupid to live, and I can't hold that against either one of them. They'll probably both go stick their forks in a toaster or something, so their HEA won't last long. The baby will be fine. The baby lives through everything.

Angry reader

OK so the storyline sounded great ,the characters sounded great, unfortunately the only semi strong character was the grandfather. The story felt rushed, the timelines often didn't match chapter to chapte, the fmc was just so weak for the male lead it was nauseating. The way she never called him out for his lies and bull was not believable. He caused her sisters delay in getting a heart and she didn't say a word. If he was a mafia don't he would have been killed long again because of his weakness and stupidity. Really ridiculous that at the end he wants to hurt the man that hit her in the face but brought the woman that shot his wife ,while she was pregnant , to visit his infant son in the hospital. Writer couldn't even keep where she was shot straight in the head or stomache. Come on if you would also get a proof reader it would he with grammer, spelling, and typos. DO NOT RECOMMEND

How is this book at 4.13 rating? This book and everything about it is utter trash! I had to double check if this book was written by a man or woman because the way the FMC is portrayed as a door mat in this book is really next level.

Trust me, I'm all about asshole MMC and how they are with the FMC's before they develop feelings for her. Once that little flicker of emotion goes off, they become prince charming (sure, a dark prince charming). The FMC usually finds her back bone after the MMC has screwed her over and he has to grovel to win her back.

This book does none of that. MMC doesn't want to marry the FMC but he has no problem having sex with her, and then discarding her. FMC is delusional and starts to think he likes her or that they have a future when he has given absolutely no indication of that. Fine, wishful thinking...sure. However, MMC then brings his ex home to live with him because she needs protection from her baby daddy. Alright, I'll give you that too - our FMC is as selfless as they come. The icing on the cake is the fact that the MMC is so wrapped up in his psycho ex that he doesn't do what is needed to set up for his sister-in-law's heart transplant - the whole reason the FMC agreed to marry him mind you. His neglect of FMC's dying sister happens twice, and then he proceeds to miss her funeral because his ex comes up with some bullshit. FMC "miscarries" and MMC is still nowhere to be found, because, you guessed it, he's with his ex.

Even after he finds out that his ex pushed his pregnant wife down the stairs and did so many other things to undermine his marriage and scare away his wife, he keeps her in his house. He knows she faked her pregnancy, he knows she works with his enemy, he knows she's after his wife, and still he can't distance himself from her. He eventually finds the FMC, who ends up delivering their son hella early (6 months gestation) because his ex SHOT her, he still chooses the psycho over his wife. He then had the audacity to push his presence on her and assert his "authority" on her. Does that do anything to deter the FMC - nope. She bends to his will once his hands are in her pants and they essentially live happily ever after.

WTAF?! The FMC is absolutely stupid, and the MMC is a douchebag. The only likeable character is Grandpa Nikolai - he'd have made a better partner for the FMC at this rage. What a waste of my time! I regret not DNF'ing this book but I kept hoping it would get better. DO NOT read this book if you value the usage of your time. I needed a negative rating for this.

LOTS of errors, an OK story

So, the story is poorly written - characters names are spelled 3 or for different ways, last names change spellings, timelines don’t always make sense. It was either not edited or not edited for the English language release by a native speaker. The story is not terrible but it is a little over the top ridiculous. The MFC isn’t the brightest bulb in the box but the MMC is possibly the dumbest man on earth. It wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t great either.

I struggled with giving this 2 stars cause it was mildly entertaining but definitely a ton of errors and inconsistencies. MMC was just overall awful an definitely did not deserve a happy ending, and FMC was such a pushover and overall weak. No matter what the MMC dif she just went along with it and forgave him. I was actually happy when she ran away an was hoping he never found her. Then he forgave Violet after she tried to kill Amy and kept acting like Amy was the crazy one. Feel like this author consistently produces weak pushover FMCs and MMCs that just accuse them of being emotional and don’t take responsibility for any of their actions.

MMC is a moronic imbecile
Necessary spoilers...
So disappointing an unrealistic Behavior for a mafia man. This book started out really good. It was different because the MMC didn't like the heroin and was very distrustful of her it was an enjoyable twist although I didn't like how rough and cruel he was on their wedding night but it was well written. He should have felt guilty and groveled more when he found out that she was a virgin. This was the beginning of it going down the rabbit hole quickly. The MFC was so passive to the point that she was a doormat even though she was supposedly intelligent. They had started a relationship that was going fine until the MMC moved his ex-lover into their house with them. After that he chose Violet the girlfriend over his wife in every situation. Some examples, he took Violet shopping and organized a baby shower while his wife sit in her room. He was with violet when he was supposed to be securing a heart for his wife's sister. When Violet pushed his wife down the stairs while she was pregnant he took Violet to the hospital and left his pregnant wife on the floor bleeding. The sister eventually died while his wife almost had a miscarriage he still took Violet's side. Violet put a gun to his pregnant wife's head and he still believed what Violet said. This was the worst Mafia male or any mail that I have encountered. He was a passive stupid wimp who believed everything that Violet said at the expense of his wife an unborn child. His behavior was unforgivable and unredeemable but the MFC chose to forgive him Time After Time. The main characters in this book were very unlikable the only one I liked was the the grandfather. I can't figure out why the grandfather was in a nursing home if this is a rich Mafia Family? This book left me feeling empty and angry for that reason I would not recommend it.

Assigned to the Bratva Heir

This is a story that starts with an arrangement but that ends with so much more. It’s a tale of love, betrayal, angst, danger and redemption, and it’s absolutely worth the read.
Will Alexei and Amy’s marriage end in disaster?
Will Alexei ever return Amy’s love?
Will Violet take Amy’s place as Alexei’s wife?
Will Amy ever forgive Alexei for his continued betrayal or will she finally choose herself and leave Alexei and Violet to their apparent love for one another?
And will Alexei finally choose his wife when her life is on the line?
Find out for yourself, it’s a book that is definitely worth reading.

I have never read a book written by Mira until this one right here and OMG what an incredible story she has written. Alexei and Amy will have your heart pounding, pulse racing, and feel the warmth radiating from your kindle while reading this book. I will be honest I didn't know what to expect when I started to read this book by Mira because she is new to me, but the cover had me wanting to find out and quickly and I am glad I have found her. She is an A+ writer.

Trusting a snake is never wise

Alex decides to marry Amy to make his grand father happy. However from the second he meets Amy he is cruel to her. He doesn't believe anyone is as sweet and nice as she is. He doesn't trust her.
Just when you start to see under his thick skin to the man, he goes and invites his ex to move into their marriage home. For someone who runs the mafia the man is stupid and it cost him everything. Some things you can't be forgiven for.....

I liked the premise of the book, but I felt that she took him back too soon. It would have been interesting to see her live as a single parent, with household staff who left the MMC to support the FMC.

My other complaint is that throughout the book (and the series) is that the Fox uses a lot of slang/texting language, or misspelled words, or cuts off chapters at inconvenient times. It would have been beneficial for an editor to have reviewed before it was published.

It’s thrilling, captivating, spicy, exciting and so much more.

would have been better

This is a new to me author and although I enjoyed the storyline the poor editing made it a difficult read at times. The MMC was more than the typical alphahole but a real bastard. I don’t believe he deserved the MFC’s forgiveness. He should have groveled more than did. Again, the poor editing and misspelled words made it frustrating to read.

A non-stop thrill read!

Heros and villains with twisted story lines. Be prepared for anxiety all the way. The characters are flawed and you want to root for them to be successful even when they disappoint us many times. Hope does rear it's head. Still I wanted them to figure it out.

main characters were too dumb to be believable

Why couldn’t you give Amy and Alexei just a tiny bit of common sense? It ruined the book. No matter how many times violet hurt his wife it didn’t matter

Stupid Man

I rarely, if ever write reviews on books. Alexei is one of the most stupid men, I have ever read. Consistently choosing Violet over Amy, it took Amy almost dying for him to realize that Violet was bad. Overall, not a bad book but frustrating!

Errors

The storyline was good even though Alexei made me mad. There were a lot of grammatical errors that need to be fixed. Normally I don’t comment and I don’t like to leave bad reviews, but this was pretty bad.

not bad

It was a decent read. The OW drama was a bit much for me, but the story unfold it well enough. Some parts tried too hard, like the conspiracy stuff. Also, there were some errors that were annoying.

Oh dear God, the man's a moron and she is not much better at times. The OW is a pantomime villain.

I like the grandfather and Mrs Cole and Micah, who rather hoped she'd end up with.

There is no way I'd have forgiven him.

What a riviting story. I hated Alexis most of the time for the way he kept going to Violet, but that’s what keeps the story going. Pleas read . You won’t be disappointed
