Rate this book
Sylvie Sweet should have inherited her family’s inn.

She's spent the last 9 years running it. Planning weddings on the terrace. Welcoming guests from around the world. Letting her own life shrink until the inn was all she had left.

So when her mother dies and leaves the property to Sylvie’s 17-year-old niece instead, it feels like a final, devastating blow.

…and there is only one way to get it back.

Her mother’s will is clear. Sylvie has one year to complete the bucket list she wrote decades ago if she wants the inn back. If she doesn't, the property will remain with her niece.

The list is filled with dreams Sylvie set aside after her divorce, and completing it feels daunting, even impossible.

Yet as Sylvie begins checking off the list, something unexpected happens. The bucket list starts feeling less like punishment and more like her mother knew exactly what she was doing...

Another Sweet, thoughtful, mysterious and romantic installment of the Someday List books.

As I continue following Sylvie’s journey, I like it more and more.

The writing style is vivid and oh so engaging!

Sylvie is a character that you’ll root for, her men are both intriguing in their own ways.

I’m loving this series! Can’t wait for the next part!.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐️ The Someday List (Book 4) by Sage Parker

Someone is clearly out to sabotage Sylvie—and taking the inn away from her seems to be the ultimate goal. The tension ramps up in this installment as the threats become more deliberate and unsettling, making it impossible for Sylvie to ignore that something bigger is at play.

Sylvie finds herself emotionally torn between Damian and Luke, unsure where her heart truly lies. Luke, in particular, becomes more intriguing as his actions suggest he may know far more than he should. When Sylvie crosses the river with him to complete one of the tasks from her mother’s will—driving a specific car from a certain era—she can’t help but wonder how Luke even knew it was on the list. His quiet steps toward her feel intentional, and her curiosity about him continues to grow.

The pressure intensifies when lawyers arrive at the inn, prompting Lily to call her aunt in alarm. The sense that time is running out—and that powerful people are involved—adds urgency to Sylvie’s mission to fulfill the will’s requirements.

Meanwhile, Fiona’s questionable behavior raises eyebrows when she’s seen kissing a critic who previously left scathing reviews of the diner (and possibly other local businesses). That revelation adds another layer of suspicion and town drama to an already complicated situation.

This book does a great job of blending romance, mystery, and emotional uncertainty. The stakes feel higher than ever, and the unanswered questions—especially surrounding Luke—make it impossible not to want the next installment immediately.

I can’t wait to see what unfolds in the next book.

Sylvie is working through the Someday list slowly but surely with the help of friends and family. Lilly, her niece who inherits the Inn if Sylvie fails to complete the list, seems to want her to inherit it, yet also seems to want to be a part of learning about the Inn and working at it or could it just be her interest in the kitchen and Henry, the chef? Sylvie’s sister in law Fiona has begun to act nicer, but could some of that be that she is hiding something? Maybe something like the man Sylvie saw her kissing?
Every time something good happens it seems like something takes an awkward twist the opposite direction and the smooth sailing turns into storm ravaged waters. Sylvie has two apparent suitors, but each of them have secrets that have been hinted at, but have yet to come to light.
Can’t wait for the next book to see what questions get answered and what other questions come up. The story gets better and better.

Someone is out to get Silvie and wants her to lose the Inn and they are trying everything to make sure that it happens. Silvia is caught between Damian and Luke and doesn't know in her heart which one it will be. She is trying her best to fulfill the orders in the will but the lawyers show up at the Inn and Lilly calls her aunt to let her know what is going on. Fiona was seen kissing a critic that left bad reviews of the diner and probably other outlets as well. Silvie is with Luke across the river to fulfill one of her orders of the will, driving a car from a certain time and now Silvie is wondering how he even knows that this is on the list! She has been very curious about Luke and the steps that he is taking towards her. I can't wait for the next book to find out what happens.

A bit surprised how fast time has passed in the story at times.
A few things have happened with everyone.
Wondering about Lily's perceptiveness about people—what she sees that others don't.
It's sad that her high school ex will hurt her again, double-cross her, and, whether pretending or not, is showing a kind of weak interest—I'm assuming all because of the hired work he hasn't told her about.
Quite an expensive apology gift, more like an upfront gift for the pain he's going to cause. Anyway, I don't think it's an appropriate gift for her to accept. Probably it counts as a work expense to charm her, but his execution is poorly done, slow. At the end, she asks herself an important question which may guide her to the right path about his credibility.

Book four and still someone is giving Sylvie a hard time with her someday list and the tasks she thought she had finalised but who could it be. It seems as Sylvie might have two men after her as Luke and Damian appear on the scene more often than not and I can feel a little cat and mouse game with Luke especially as I feel he is not entirely genuine. And who is the mystery man Fiona was seen to be kissing? Things are certainly heating up in every way and even Lily is acting quite strange. Cannot wait to read the next book.

The Someday List is book 4 in the Sweet Stay series. I read this book so fast it just drew me in and held me to the end of this book.
Someone is trying to make it impossible for Sylvie to finish the Someday List to be able to keep the Inn. The fingers had been pointing at several people and when I got to the end of this book my mouth dropped open!!!
Sage Parker has really given us all a lot to think about until the next book comes out.

Sylvie sees Fiona kissing a man in the street. She doesn't tell her that she saw but she is curious. Luke stands her up for a date and then arranges for her to complete a Someday List item and gets her diamond earrings to apologize for missing the date. He knows exactly what the list says, yet she never told him. The lawyers are claiming that she didn't actually complete the items that she did. Someone is trying to hurt her. I received an advanced reader copy of this book from BookSprout, and this is my honest review.

(Book 4 – The Someday List):
This installment ends on such a high note as Sylvie is taken by Luke to fulfill one of her cherished “someday” dreams. The twist of Luke knowing the sweet “someday” words word‑for‑word, though she never told him, makes the story even more intriguing. It’s heartfelt, mysterious, and leaves you eager for what’s next.

Note: You really do need to read these books in order to fully appreciate the characters and their journeys.

Sylvia’s ex Luke from 20 years ago has conveniently been in town for a few months. All of a sudden he wants to help her with her Sweet Somedays list. She doesn’t remember telling him the exact wording of her list. How does he know? Is he part of the lawyer group trying to get her to sell the inn?.

I've read a lot of books written by Sage Parker; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the fourth book in the Sweet Stays Inn Series; the story continues from the previous book and needs to be read in order.

Everything in Book 4 feels suspicious. I don’t trust Sylvie’s sister-in-law, Fiona. Sylvie is busy training for the marathon to raise money, but there are still so many unanswered questions. Hopefully, Book 5 will reveal more.
