The Someday List

Sylvie Sweet should have inherited her family’s inn.

She's spent the last 9 years running it. Planning weddings on the terrace. Welcoming guests from around the world. Letting her own life shrink until the inn was all she had left.

So when her mother dies and leaves the property to Sylvie’s 17-year-old niece instead, it feels like a final, devastating blow.

…and there is only one way to get it back.

Her mother’s will is clear. Sylvie has one year to complete the bucket list she wrote decades ago if she wants the inn back. If she doesn't, the property will remain with her niece.

The list is filled with dreams Sylvie set aside after her divorce, and completing it feels daunting, even impossible.

Yet as Sylvie begins checking off the list, something unexpected happens. The bucket list starts feeling less like punishment and more like her mother knew exactly what she was doing...

Sylvie Sweet has given nine years of her life to her family’s inn.
Nine years of early mornings and late nights, arranging flowers for weddings she wasn’t starring in, setting tables for anniversaries she wasn’t celebrating, greeting guests from around the world while her own life quietly faded into routine.

The inn wasn’t just her job.
It was her identity.
It was home.

So when her mother's will leaves the property to her 17-year-old niece and gives Sylvie just one year to complete her old bucket list if she wants to keep the inn, it feels like betrayal wrapped in grief. The kind that leaves you staring at everything you built and wondering if it ever mattered at all.

And to make things worse?
Her sister-in-law wants to sell the inn right out from under her.

But something remarkable happens when Sylvie starts checking off those old dreams.
The list pushes her out of her comfort zone and back into her life—into joy, fear, adventure, and the possibility that she deserves more than survival. She deserves living. She deserves laughter. She deserves love—of the inn, yes, but also of herself.

What I loved most is how this story isn’t just about reclaiming a building.
It’s about reclaiming the woman she used to be—and the one she still wants to become.

📌 Expect:
• Found strength and fresh purpose
• Self-growth after grief and loss
• A family conflict that feels painfully real
• Small-town charm and soul-deep reflection
• A journey filled with courage, healing, & hope

This isn’t just a book about a bucket list.
It’s a reminder that the dreams we pack away “for someday” still matter.
That sometimes what feels like a punishment is really a push toward a fuller, brighter life.

If you’ve ever put your own dreams on hold for duty, family, or fear—Sylvie will feel like a friend you’re cheering for on every page.

Heartfelt, hopeful, and beautifully human.
A story of grief, growth, and the breathtaking power of starting over.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Review: The Someday List (Book 2) by Sage Parker

Book 2 of The Someday List continues to build momentum in all the right ways, raising both the emotional and narrative stakes. Sage Parker leans into conflict, growth, and romantic tension, delivering a sequel that feels richer, sharper, and more immersive than the first.

The standout moment of the book is undoubtedly the Battle of the Inn. The clash between Sylvie and Fiona is intense and layered, going far beyond a simple confrontation. Parker masterfully blends action with emotional history, making the fight a true turning point rather than a fleeting spectacle. Long-simmering resentment, grief, and unresolved tension explode onto the page, forcing Sylvie to confront not just her rival, but herself.

Sylvie’s journey is further complicated by the presence of Luke and Damien, whose contrasting roles add depth and intrigue to her emotional arc. Luke’s quiet strength and steady support offer comfort and stability, while Damien’s bold, heroic energy brings excitement and unpredictability. The resulting love triangle is handled with care, never feeling forced, and keeps readers genuinely unsure of where Sylvie’s heart will land.

The book closes on a dramatic, satisfying note with Damien’s timely rescue—an ending that provides relief while clearly setting the stage for deeper emotional exploration ahead. Questions linger in the best way possible: will Sylvie choose the calm certainty of Luke or the passion and intensity Damien represents?

Overall, The Someday List: Book 2 strikes an excellent balance between romance, rivalry, and suspense. The pacing is brisk, the characters continue to evolve naturally, and the emotional stakes feel higher than ever. This sequel doesn’t just advance the story—it deepens it, making the series increasingly hard to put down. A compelling, heartfelt continuation that leaves readers eager for the next installment.

This contemporary small-town sweet, clean, wholesome later-in-life romance is page-turning with exceptional world-building at Sweet Stays Inn, where the sunrises and sunsets are majestically painted across the sky in vibrant hues, and characters who are resilient, heartbroken, grieving, captivating, and realistic. Their journey is enthralling with the someday list, love/loss, heartfelt emotions/emotional depth that are sure to leave readers needing Kleenex/Puffs to wipe away their tears that are threatening to spill down their cheeks, chaos/drama, action, adventure, and more. I recommend reading this book by an extraordinary author who knows how to captivate her readers' hearts and attention with the someday list, and a later-in-life romance that is sure to transport readers into a world that is wildly emotional and unforgettable.

Sage Parker’s The Someday List: Book 2 continues to build momentum, especially with the gripping Battle of the Inn. The clash between Sylvie and Fiona feels sharper and more layered than before, showcasing not just physical conflict but also the emotional tension that has been simmering between them. Parker does a wonderful job of weaving action with character development, making the fight more than just a spectacle—it’s a turning point in their relationship.

Meanwhile, the presence of Luke and Damien adds complexity to Sylvie’s journey. Their contrasting personalities and roles in her life raise the question of where her heart truly belongs. Luke’s steady influence and Damien’s heroic flair create a compelling love triangle that keeps readers guessing.

The book closes on a dramatic note as Damien steps in to save the day, leaving readers both relieved and curious. The ending feels like a setup for deeper emotional exploration in the next installment—will Sylvie’s loyalty and affection lean toward Luke’s quiet strength, or Damien’s bold rescue?

Overall, Parker balances romance, rivalry, and suspense beautifully. The pacing is brisk, the characters are evolving, and the stakes are higher than ever. This sequel not only delivers action but also deepens the emotional threads that make the series so engaging.

This is the 2nd book in this Sweet Stays Inn series.

When Sylvies mother dies, she expects to inherit her mother’s Inn, where she has put her entire life in for the last 9 years.

But her mother has decided that Sylvie has to complete her own bucket list first and if she doesn’t do it, the Inn will go to her niece instead.

In this second installment, Sylvie continues working on her bucket list, things she dreamt about, she is able to experience now… An entire world is opening for her.

This book is about truly living. Taking a break and actually do the things you were dreaming about or you plan on doing once… but life gets in between.

It’s a heart felt and reflective story that put things in perspective.

It’s absolutely beautifully written and the author has a clear message. In the next book, I hope more adventures, enjoyment and love are yet to come!.

So Silvia realizes that she is going to have to complete her list in order to have the Inn which is the one things she really wants. She meets with the lawyers as some of the items have already been done, such as going to Prom and not being able to reconstruct that.
She and her mother had a favorite movie and she always wanted to go to the country it was filmed in. Next on her list its time to travel.
Who could have imagined that her love of 30 years ago would be at the same destination of her wish list and so they decided to spend time together and reconnect. She found herself totally relaxing and enjoying her vacation but now it was time to return to reality and back to the inn to work on the rest of the list and open it up for customers.
What can we imagine will happen in the future? If Sage is writing it there is no doubt that it will be exciting.....

Sylvie has enjoyed her trip to mark off the first item on her Sweet Someday List, but is ready to get back to having guests at the Inn. Who should one of her first guests for the season be, but her ex-boyfriend Luke, who she had run into unexpectedly while on her trip. Then there’s the nice man from the Diner, Damien, who seems to always be coming to her rescue. And her tenuous relationship with her sister-in-law, Fiona even seems to be slightly improving. Wonder how this story is going to keep intertwining with these and the other characters in the book? I think surprises await us! Can’t wait to read the next book.

Sylvie is struggling with her sister-in-law Fiona who wants to sell the inn without Silvie's permission. Sylvie hires a young local man Henry as the cook, but he is under prepared and nervous about the responsibility. Meanwhile, Juliette and Damion set up things to help with the "someday list" and Luke comes to stay at the inn for work. There are a lot of moving pieces and emotions going on. Sylvia met with lawyers concerning her sister in law putting the Inn up for sale. Her niece Lilly spends time learning about the Inn, as her classes don’t take up as much time since she’s covered part of them already by transferring schools. Henry a friends son is hired as the Inn’s cook and is doing well but comes in late one day and quits. Just then Damian the cook from the diner walks in and takes over to save the day. Sylvia wonders what she got herself into. I can’t wait for the next book..

In this book we are starting to see a bit of a different side to Fiona, or are we being deceived. She is a very hard nut to crack and I hope for Sylvie's sake she is not trying to be manipulative to get Sylvie to agree to sell the inn. Looks like Sylvie has some very kind friends on her side as Juliette and Damian help Sylvie with her Someday List and Lily is actually taking an interest in the running of the inn. All in all it was a great instalment and I am so excited to get the next book.

Book two has a lot going on with Sweet Stays Inn. Sylvie has been left a bucket list from her mother that is known as Sweet Someday list. If she wants the ownership back, she must complete the list.
There are people who are backing her and wanting her to complete the list. Her sister-in-law doesn’t seem to be one of them, but time will tell.
This was a book filled with twists and turns that made me eager to turn the page.

In this story, fulfilling some things from the list continues. Her best friend and the other one, whom I'm referring to as "new friend," jump in and help with this list. I like their surprise. Some confusing times for Sylvia continue with Fiona, an old friend, and working at the inn. Niece is still nice, with some struggles of her own.
Some great interactions.
Waiting for the next challenges.

The inn is starting to get into the busy season. Even though Sylvie has been around the Inn most of her life, there’s still some things she’s new at doing. She didn’t realize when she hired an 18 year old, that even though Henry is great at cooking, he doesn’t have much experience in other areas. She needs another chef. Damian just entered the Inn so is willing to be chef tonight and apparently knows exactly what to do to get Henry back on the track of preparing a meal.
